no. 11 (their take on an espresso martini)

Loma is an intimate cocktail experience - very speakeasy-esquire. It's a pretty small space with couch seating areas and bar tops, so ideally best for groups of 2-4 people. I went on a Friday night and there was a small wait. The menu primarily consists of crafted cocktails, beer, wine, & small plates. I tried two of their cocktails - each beautifully prepared with distinct tastes. Never-less, both were delicious. Our server was also really nice and made us feel welcome. He explained the notes of what the cocktails included so it made it easier to make our decision. I would definitely come back again!

We were in Providence for just one night and wanted a great craft-cocktail experience. A quick search pulled up Loma with a straight five-star rating, and they def deserve every star. From our arrival, the hospitality was top tier. Warm, welcoming, unrushed. The space itself is cozy and intimate, with this beautifully curated burnt-orange vibe that feels a like a 1930s-40s Cuban lounge. Even the staff subtly matched the aesthetic and color scheme. You can tell a ton of thought went into every detail of this place. Every cocktail we tried was creative, balanced, and thoughtfully composed. Presentation was beautiful without being gimmicky. One of the hosts/servers took the time to explain each drink. We also tried the flan. It was silky, perfectly set, just sweet enough: 10/10. Once there, we learned that Loma's Latino-owned, and that heritage is subtly celebrated throughout--from their curated Salsa playlist on the high def sound system to their inclusion of Latin American flavors and ingredients in their menu. Oh and one of the details we loved most: there's no big wall of liquor bottles on display like you see in most places. They keep only a few featured spirits visible and tuck everything else away, which gives the whole space a more intimate, upscale, almost homey feel. In short: impeccable vibes, genuinely warm hospitality, gorgeous space, incredible drinks, and thoughtful details everywhere. Loma is exactly the kind of bar you hope to stumble upon when traveling--and the kind that makes you wish you lived closer. A must-visit. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

Super cute speakeasy. Tiny but mighty! Since it's on the smaller side it's great for couples and small parties. Drinks were great and service was quick. The cocktails are not only a work of art but also crafted beautifully. Highly recommend a visit.

Loma has friendly service and great cocktails. It's warm and cozy, ideal for intimate gatherings. It's what I imagine a latin living room from the 70's would look like. Great addition to the hill.

The service could not have been better here; this is a must visit if you want a speakeasy-style cocktail bar! The space itself is small but perfect for a small crowd. The tables are really only set up for 2-3 people each, so it definitely feels like more of a date night spot. The drinks themselves are works of art and are beautifully creative. I would love to return soon to other menu items! There is also a menu selection that allows you to tell the bartender what you like and they come up with something on the spot!

LOMA is an amazing new addition to the Providence cocktail scene. It is easy to overlook this spot while walking by, but you'll likely notice some activity near the door. Once you step inside, it feels like you've entered a cozy living room, with a warm, inviting vibe. The space is small, seating around 15-20 people, making it feel even more personal. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I tried cocktails #9 and #11--#9, a mezcal drink, was refreshingly well-balanced with a unique papaya twist. Cocktail #11 was a standout clarified espresso martini. Both drinks were fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience. They also offer some snacks. The only drawback is since the seating is limited, it may not be suitable for large groups.

Amazing service and ambiance!! They greeted us outside the door, welcomed us in, asked us our names, made us feel comfortable, and now we are here. The drinks are so unique and DELICIOUS!! Our waters keep getting filled quickly and Adam and Yefri are calling us by name!! It's an amazing, quaint little gem.

Words cannot express how in love with this place I am. From the atmosphere to the drinks, and the impeccable service, if you're a fan of a killer cocktail lounge then make Loma your next stop. From the first Instagram post I saw I knew I had to visit, and it DID NOT disappoint. The space envelopes you in an amber glow immediately setting the mood for what is sure to be a wonderful experience. Once seated by their gracious staff, it's time to peruse the drink menu; one which is full of innovative and incredibly delicious cocktails. They also have a section featuring certain spirits which can be ordered alone or as part of their suggested cocktail. Having ordered from both sides of the menu, I can tell you that you cannot lose either way. Once ready, the attentive staff takes your name along with your order, and believe me they won't forget either one. After expertly explaining your choice to you, you are left to enjoy your beverage in peace and to take in the stunning surroundings. This garden level (somewhat of a speakeasy) bar is a delight not only to the palette but to the eyes as well. From the materials and finishes selected, to the EXPERT lighting design you will feel both elevated and at ease while you sip. I cannot recommend Loma enough; I just need them to be open every night

I don't think I've ever had a bar experience like this. The decor alone is enough for me to go back, a beautiful, cozy space with dim lighting and intimate seating. The staff refer to you by name and are fully invested in making sure you pick drinks you'll love. I opted for an off-menu dealer's choice and was paired perfectly with a vesper made with limited edition cornichon gin. They even gave me the backstory on the gin! Such a great addition to Fed Hill. Unlike anything I've seen in a while. Can I live here?

Not the kind of place I really want to sit in and enjoy a cocktail. Dungeon like. The music is loud hip hop, not something I mind, but worth noting if thats not for you. I sat at the bar, and honestly didn't feel like it was super clean. I don't think the counter had been wiped down for a while. Staff were doing their best but seemed overwhelmed on a Saturday night. I was watching them make the cocktails and did not feel like it was very sanitary. They've got one small sink they're rinsing everything in, they were chucking stuff, literally chucking and slamming metal. They were dumping out people's drinks into the same side of the sink and then rinsing in the other side. But stuff was splashing into what should be the clean side. It's not a good setup for a cocktail bar. The cocktail menu had 8 drinks on it, 2 they were out of. Nothing had whiskey in it. I got a drink called Darjeeling something. Really didn't like it, didn't taste balanced and it looked different than someone else's who ordered the same thing, not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient. The bartender also wasn't tasting the drinks which I usually see to ensure it was made correctly. This one had curry in it as a listed ingredient and it was just way too strong a flavor. It was a rum drink with some mezcal but it just tastes like mezcal and curry powder. The place was pretty busy but people were coming and going frequently. There's only one bathroom which really isn't enough for a bar. Seems like there's potential here but I didn't like the menu offerings and the sanitary concerns leave me with no desire to come back here.

Our server was attentive and gave us great suggestions. I tried four cocktails some from their new menu and some of their past drinks, they were all great. THE FOOD -We ordered the dip trio, each of them was delicious, my favorite was the lemon hummus. -the ratio of chips to dip was not good and when we asked for more chips it was a $5 charge we weren't told about. Since it took a bit to get the second round of chips we had to leave most of them and the dip to get to our show on time which was a bummer. THE DRINKS -delicious!!! Great, accurate descriptions -I tried the parsley one and it was so refreshing and perfectly herby. I've told everyone about it! -I also tried the apple anise which is accurately a mix of both apple and anise flavors! I forgot I don't like anise much so it wasn't my favorite but again still accurate and well made. THE SERVICE -very kind server! A lovely woman in the restroom overheard my friend and I unsure on where to venture, and she suggested this place! Moody and welcoming. Absolutely loved it. We went in ~10:45 on a Wednesday pm. Apparently they do live jazz weekly as well, but we'd come too late. A handful of bar patrons, a couple making out in the back of the dining room at their cute table, a lovely bartender, me& my bff. We really hit the jackpot for ambiance last night. Decor in there is so cute. I wish I took a picture of the table lamp on the bar. It was embellished with beads hanging on the rim of the shade. Our drinks were top notch. Mine was a citrus vanilla profile and hers was a savory martini. The sandwich, I had one bite of it was yummy. I don't like imitation lunch meats though. CATFISH was breaded and fried fabulously. Not oily. Crispy and crunchy. So happy to have discovered this place! The bartender told us they just celebrated 6 years of business!
