I had an appointment to have my oil changed at 8 AM. They didn't finish changing the oil until 10 AM. They charged me $116 for just an oil change. But the real concern I have, aside from the price, was that whoever changed the oil left greasy handprints all over the front of the car, on the headlights, and on the interior handle to open the door. If they have that lack of care when it comes to keeping a car clean, I can't imagine the poor job they would do an oil change. I will never go back there. read more

Customer Service Issue 1. Last time I had service I got surprise Service Agreement . This was discovered as I made, what may be, my last service appointment...rear breaks/misc. Issue 2. When the appointment was made I was told you no longer provide a courtesy car that could take me home, only to find out that was not the case. Issue 3. Everything went downhill in a hurry after I asked the salesman for the price and his reply was, " I don't know, you came here to look at it , you should know." Truly incompetence at it's best!! Buying a car should not be an experience of the customer having to outwit, outsmart, or stoop down to the salesman's level of arrogance and sarcastic comments. I wish I could give zero stars. We have always been very loyal to Toyota, and we love our Toyota and Lexus vehicles. However, we purchased our vehicle from Lombard Toyota in May 2025, nine months ago, and we still have not received our title! We paid for it in FULL, in cash! It is now January 24, 2026. This is completely unacceptable. We've made multiple calls, and each time we get excuses and promises that "it's being processed" and "it should be here soon." Nine months is far beyond any reasonable timeframe for title processing. This isn't just an inconvenience; it is a serious problem that affects our legal ownership of our vehicle, which we paid for in full. The lack of follow-through and communication from this dealership is appalling. If you are considering buying from here, be warned: They may be happy to take your money, but don't expect them to meet the basic legal requirements of the sale. We have to write this negative review to compel them to make our title a priority (finally). We are now exploring legal options to resolve this matter, as the dealership has clearly demonstrated that they will not handle it on their own. I am thouroughly disgusted with this place as a privately owned business. Their staff is rude and crooks. I had gone in on April 25th to discuss purchasing a highlander hybrid, which is in high demand right now. Luis Duran was my representive and he was incredibly pushy about putting down a deposit of a $1000 for a vehicle he could 'supposibly' get from another dealer, it was apparently in the production phase. Luis stated that he would keep me updated from the time I left till when the car would be coming in. There was radio silence for a month. This past Monday, I reached out by email asking about the vehicle; again, silence. So on Wednesday, I reached out to the dealer. 2 times, they had hung up on me after asking about an update; they were going to transfer me to a sales manager. The 3rd time, I had spoken with a sale rep who had set up a meeting for yesterday with Igor the sales manager. I had reached out to him yesterday morning befroe our meeting to state I was coming to retrieve the $1000, I no longer wanted the highlander and chose to provide my business to another reputable dealter. He stated that was ok, and I went to the dealer. As soon as I walked into the door, they kept sending me to different desks and claiming that Igor was in a meeting. The final desk that I had went to, Luis came around and was trying to convince me that he was on top of finding this highlander; and I had explained to him that I reached out by email and his claim was he doesn't use email, how unprofessional. Then as I clearly stated I wanted the deposit back, he refused and claimed I had signed this document and could not have it back. There was no document, he scribbled nonsense on a piece of paper that day, nothing legal or binding. He could not understand why I was angry with their business tactics. Luis claimed that he did not need to reach out within this time frame to update me, because he was 'working on it.' He had only reached out to me that morning after I reached out to Igor to state I was coming to retrieve the $1000. The last thing I stated after Luis looked at me and stated, 'I don't know why you're so upset?' You have 1000 of my money and you refuse to give it back, and you don't understand my anger, nice way to go about business, stealing money. I stated I am taking legal action against this business, in which that process has already started. Word to the wise, don't do business with them, they are thieves. read more

I went here on April 25th to look and possibly purchase a Toyota Highlander hybrid. The sales rep, Luis was incredibly pushy about purchasing one, even though they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. It's been a month and nothing. Luis then tried to say a piece of paper that he scribbled on was binding and he was keeping my $. At that point I demanded my money back again and he said no. I am beyond frustrated and will be turning them for fraud purpose. NEVER GO THERE!!! read more

If I could give this review no stars I would! My sister took her Lexus to fix some cables chewed up due to rodents and not even two weeks later oil spills out from under the hood. She took it back and they said there's apparently a hole in the engine. Now they would rather not work on it. I knew something was fishy with them and I still have a feeling they messed something up when they first worked under the hood. Do NOT recommend. read more

EDIT: I am updating my review to make this rating three stars because sadly now that I'm shopping for my own vehicle I found a place that took the crown for the worst ever dealership in Chicago that I've ever been to. Read my other reviews if you're interested to find out who. By comparison, these guys were kings. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I gave this dealership and two management levels of staff a chance to stave off a bad review but they appear not to care so here it is: my mother was in an accident that left her in a lot of pain and PTSD. Even so, we had to find her a replacement vehicle within 30 days due to (a) suburban living and (b) an Illinois law that allows you to save some on the sales tax and title, license and registration fees after a total loss. We wound up at this dealership and a week later I am still trying to wash off the experience. From the salesperson - who defines an old-school salesperson while simultaneously appearing not to give a damn if you buy a car or not - to the sales manager, who defines a fast-talking sales manager, to the used vehicle overseeing sales manager who only returned one of my calls and since then has not gotten back to me after some voicemail chase, these people are not confidence inspiring. They lied about the condition of the tires (need complete replacement NOW, not "60% tread left according to our inspection", they failed to disclose the very expensive fact that the second smart key was missing until we walked outside to take delivery after signing all the papers and finally they skirted our request to make these things right after we completed the purchase. I get that we are buying a used car, but if these people had 1) not lied about the condition of the tires, 2) not hidden the fact the second ($400 + tax to replace) key was not included and 3) not basically ignored our attempts to fix these issues by at least splitting the cost or something - anything - we would not have bought this car at this place. I say stay away, buyer - you CAN and WILL do better. That said, after we spent the money on a second key and on getting new tires the car actually checked out as legit good condition and a fair deal (minus the above) and so far was not an immediate treasure trove of horrors. I guess we could have done worse in that respect. Also the finance person we worked with while still giving a similar initial impression as the rest of his colleagues was actually quick and efficient and did not try anything funny while actually being constructive throughout the process. Recently purchased a car there no mention of a scam fee of $295 for Nitrogen air in tires till I sat down to pay. Never mentioned during buying process was even told there was no additional charges. There are other reviews on here that mention this scam alsoand were forced to pay for it. Unfortunately we had sold our previous car before going to pick the new one up so had no choice. The service department here has no integrity. I took my car in for a routine oil change on 5/15/25. I specifically advised to do the oil change only. Well, when i got my car back, I noticed that the hood was no longer latched down. This was done to me at a different auto service center in an attempt to charge me more for a simple issue, so I immediately knew what the issue was and how to fix it. I called Lombard Toyota's service dept the next day to report the issue with my hood, explaining that the release cable had been disconnected from the hood latch, which was preventing my hood from closing completely and being locked. I was told to bring my car back on Monday morning to address the issue. They did nothing!! They claimed the hood latch and cable needed to be replaced completely, and had the nerve to quote me 810$ to fix it!! They refused to reconnect the cable unless i paid them the 810$. I knew this wasn't correct, especially when the hood latch part only cost about 125$ and the hood latch was working fine before i brought it in for the oil change. I called the Toyota dealership in the city where i originally purchased my Camry and explained the issue to them, and they quoted me 540$ to fix the issue, but said it might change once they had a chance to look at my car. I brought my car to the dealership in the city on 5/23/25 to be looked at, and they confirmed what i knew to be true: the cable and hood latch did not need to be serviced, the cable just needed to be reconnected, which they did free of charge! My hood now locks with no issues, and they also provided me a quote to replace the hood latch if i wanted, which was 290$. The difference in quotes is insane, and I'm incensed that Lombard Toyota not only tampered with my hood latch in order to outrageously charge me, but believed i would be uninformed about my car and silly enough to pay that price. The only good thing about the service department here is the cashiers, who are so sweet and a pleasure to interact with!! read more

I purchased a 2022 Lexus and there wasn't an owners manual in the glove box. And I was promised that along with touch up paint. I received neither! Very disappointed this dealer couldn't provide me with what they promised. Instead they wanted to give me a PDF of the manual which I could've found on my own. Terrible way of doing business. And when this dealer can't follow through on the little things imagine being able to follow through on the bigger things. Frankly I walked in here wanting to support a smaller Local Toyota dealer not owned by a major company, I was even willing to step over some of the glaring red flags I experienced; like the attitude of some of the ales people or the mark up print outs right next to to the msrp. ($200 for nitrogen in their tires, wtf?!?!) There is a reason this place is on a hill, beyond protecting from flooding and the landscape of the area, it's because the managers are above their customers, and they can look down upon us mere mortals and treat them poorly. I also will add the reason they don't have much inventory is because they're not selling enough, that's Toyota distributors allocation model based on sale. Just imagine walking into the 90s, and that how modern this dealership is. Most of the people speak broken up English, the car wash is filthy, and the entire place is dated with cracked tiles and broken concrete. And when we were looking at new cars, some of their sales guys were talking sh!t about customers they had just dealt with (charming right?!?) The person assigned to me were nice up until it came time to negotiate the out the door price. We were negotiating for a car, and when we finally got down to price, the mark ups, we were within 1k-500 of what I wanted and they wouldn't budge further like not even "hey how about we throw this in at cost", or offer splitting the difference on something. That money may not seem like a lot but I wanted that mark down to cover the wheel warranty and mats because the car didn't come with them. Finally the finance manager came in and pretended to talk to the owner, then not only wouldn't come back with another offer but jacked the price back up, and refused to even go back to what we negotiated. Frankly I'll just keep driving back as I did before I walked into this dealer, and advise anyone I know to avoid it like the plague. read more

THEY BEGGED ME NOT TO POST A PHOTO OF THIS INVOICE/ESTIMATE My gf went in to get a regular oil change,  they told her she needs a few little extra things done so she said yeah i guess. They did not show her a quote of the $516 she would have to pay for the oil change + few extra things. (Correction; they DID show her the quote and because the guy told her she needs it she just went ahead and agreed without questioning him or the price. Basic psychology, it's only after someone gets tricked into something they really didn't want to do is when they realize they got tricked into it ) So this is when I found out. She sent me the Estimate and I said no way just leave go to my mechanic I get Synthetic oil changes for $80.00 She proceeds to tell me that she's already getting the oil change done and everything else listed with it. I proceed to get furious like a mo fo and talk to the guy who scheduled this service, he passes me off to what i imagine is a superior. He says that she agreed to the service and they charge everyone like this. Asks me again not to post the photo.  She left paying $300 some dollars which is still a joke. I don't trust dealers as far as i can throw them. Hence why I now prefer to buy my cars privately and use local mechanics. I told him please just use your own judgment however he wanted me to meet Wesley and drive the truck before he bought it. Wesley is an honest, efficient, soft spoken, matter of fact guy who I liked immediately when I met him yesterday. He didn't look like a bum who just returned from the gym, he wasn't pushy and he didn't hold us hostage with a bunch of mindless talk. We bought the truck and went home. Wesley is a prime example of what a salesman should be and I am happy with our purchase and will definitely return in the future. AND I will give Wesley the sale. read more

Joe T Last time I went in for an oil change I was there for 1 1/2 hours. Because of the delay I was given a free oil change. I had an appointment today for 11a. I arrived at 10:55a. After an hour I went to the service person that signed me in and asked how much sooner and I was told they're just finishing up and putting on the wiperblades. Another 1/2 hour passed and I went back to service and asked if my car was ready. I was told they are bringing the car in now for the oil change. I was very upset and canceled. They offered a credit for a free oil change. After wasting my time. Why not just say we are really busy today, instead of lying. If I could give this dealership a 0/5 I would. I set an appointment a week in advance to see a Rav 4 and get my current car appraised. I show up and I let the sales man know I only had 45 minutes but if I like the car I'd like to come back tomorrow. I was specially told to ask for Egor and when I told the sales rep that he said it's fine he can just handle it. We went to see the car and I drove it around the parking lot while asking the sales rep questions about interest rates and the vehicle. He couldn't answer a single one with a solid answer and to make it worse he didn't put his seat belt on so it was beeping the entire time. We went inside and I asked how many owners the vehicle had. He told me all the information was online. I then asked for the price he said to look online. I then asked about interest rates and if we could look at financing options. He said since I worked at a bank I should know about interest rates. (Not sure how I would know the interest rate of this specific car??) I said no other dealership has ever said anything like this to me before. He threw up his hands. I then waited another 10 minutes while he was in the back talking with all the other sales guys. He came out with my appraisal and I told him I can go over it quick and need to go. He turned the paper over said "we don't need to do this" and walked away not looking at me like a coward. I got my keys and left. Terrible service. Terrible sales men. I will be telling everyone this is the worst dealership to ever buy a car. I tried to call the manager to explain the situation and maybe he could fix it considering I actually really liked the car. But he never called me back. I got an email for a $49.95 synthetic oil change, expires 9/20/2023, so I scheduled an appointment. I walk in to get my oil changed and they tell me for that and a tire rotation it will be $115 .... I pulled up the coupon and said why didn't you offer this to me? I drive Toyota, I bought my car with you, and I need a synthetic oil change. You can find the coupon online even. What happened to Lombard Toyota. Yesterday I took my husbands car for repair. They tried to add 1200.00 worth of work to the ticket and when I questioned the 3 year old battery they were putting in, wasn't there a warrantee for that old battery? Surely a battery lasts more than 3 years. He gave me the run around. I did not appreciate the condescension in his tone and how he was manipulating me into the other 1200.00 dollars worth of work that they suggested. We ended up with a battery we did not need and a price tag of 408.00. Have bought all our Toyotas from Lombard Toyota and will NOT return to them for any kind of service in the future. Bought a vehicle here. The experience was meh. They're going to try and sell you above MSRP and or at a higher price. Salesman named Al is a liar. Promised me free oil changes upon my purchase but it's not in the system coincidentally. When I confronted him he said "we usually don't give free oil changes on used vehicles." Drove 10 miles just to be told I would need to come back. They want your social security number and your birth certificate to sell your oil and filter at the parts department. Kenny Jordan was my rep and the word that just comes to mind is... ethical. Odd?.. something you'd never expect at a car dealership. I had been told this dealer was great. Everyone I met, I thought were fellow prospects. They were reps or service people. Finance... Holy No Haggle. I am a good poker player. But this entire experience was actually pleasant. I'd had destroyed a SUV I wanted to buy from a lease with one month left and literally was crying about this entire process. After this couple hours, I had such relief! I ended up with a totally different vehicle that made more sense with the sudden change in gas prices and my perspective on need for safety features. That is a awesome service! read more

Consider the reviews, it's either 1 star for unsatisfied customers or 5 stars probably for paid reviews. Came in this year on a Monday to purchase a car that toyota.com informed me was in stock. Waited around for someone to help me then sales person Ed stated he sold the car over the weekend. I insisted he check again as I was notified night before it was there. He finally found it, rushed through the test drive and demanded I pay full price plus extra 5k otherwise I should stop wasting his time. I informed him I was there to purchase the car and me needs to answer my questions about the vehicle and give me sticker price as indicated. Long story short the manager came by and I bought the car. Ed then insisted I give him 5 starts on google review so he can have for his files; I refused and again he rushed me through the sale without much explanation about the vehicle.
