I've been here before and love the setting right on the water. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The food is average for a restaurant with these prices. I went there today with some friends and ordered the baked shrimp off of the lunch menu. I got 4 shrimp and an underdressed mixed greens salad. A very pretty setting but the terrible service ruined the experience. Our waiter was rude and slow. The bus boys were very friendly and helped us more than our own waiter did. It is remarkable just how bad the service is at Lombardis on the bay. Upon arrival, we were told we'd have to wait 10 minutes for a Waterfront table, and we could wait at the bar "over there". After 20 minutes, several Waterview tables freed up, however when we found the hostess she wanted to seat us at a table on the opposite side of the room, next to a bussing station. When we objected to the table, instead of honoring our request, she thought it best to argue with us. After a manager intervened, we moved to the table we requested. During dinner, some items we ordered did not appear, and the others that did come, came before the plates from the previous course had been cleared. Entrees with shellfish were not accompanied with bowls for the empty shells. What a mess! In keeping with the rest of the evening, as we left, the staff spilled a whole tray of silverware on the floor. We left as they argued about who was going to clean up the mess, and wondered if it would be washed again. read more

Took 20 minutes for our drinks, 30 minutes for our apps. and they were cold apps. and 30 minutes after that for our salads and then another35 minutes for the entrees. What a disappointment! We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. We hadn't been here in about a year. This place really went downhill. First of all, there was a DJ outside the bar area but the music was being piped inside. Terrible music and extremely loud. Usually the bar on a Friday night is packed. It was nearly deserted last night. My husband's Sea Bass was undercooked. A side order of broccoli rabe was literally swimming in olive oil. My stuffed flounder was fine. And my husband's shrimp cocktail appetizer was very good but honestly the atmosphere and the horrible music ruined the night. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. And this delightful evening cost us $140 plus tip. We left the waitress a decent tip because she was fine. read more

After appetizers we waited at least 40 minutes for our meals to come out. They clearly forgot about us but rather than addressing the issue, the waitress avoided us for about 30 minutes and all we got was "sorry about the wait there was a mix up in the kitchen". She should have at least asked if we wanted another round of drinks and offered to comp dessert/drinks/appetizers/ANYTHING. She really didn't seem that sorry. It's unfortunate because my meal was pretty good but I will definitely not be going back. read more

I love this Place and I give it 5 stars out of 5. They go above and beyond for you. I asked the management for help on getting engaged at the gazebo across the street and have a waiter bring us a bottle of wine and the ring covered with a food pan. Antonio the manager came outside and did this for me. I had help setting up the covered table and decorated the gazebo with lights and flowers. She did not know this was happening while we were getting ready in our Condo a block away. We had family members inside awaiting for our arrival. She thought it was dinner for just her and I. I popped the question with a picture of us with will you marry me on the wine bottle. After I popped the question we walked inside Villa's and she was surprised the whole family was there. The entire restaurant congratulated us. We will Always LOVE this Place. Food is always amazing. Oscar the waiter has a beautiful accent and it is very classy how he announces the specials. Antonio and Mike always go above and beyond for you. Milak is very good also at serving and he will make you laugh. Rebecca is a very good waitress as well. She always had our drinks topped. Bethany always greets us as we come in and is always accommodating. Chris the bartender can make great drinks. I love the rib eye that they make. The Irish coffee for desert is one of the best I have ever had and I am a foodie. I recommend the fried calamari for dessert. Thank you for making this memorable for us. Excellent service and delicious food! Have been here for lunch 2x in the last couple of weeks. Bread served on table and quick to receive food. I got the chop salad both times, it is enough for two people at least! Plenty of ingredients in the salad and if is huge! Great deal for $10. Beautiful views of the water as well. We went to Lombardi's on the Bay 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. I must say that the service, food, atmosphere and parking were excellent. Our waiter introduced himself as Lorenzo and guided us through the menu and wine pairing. The stuffed mushrooms and marinated steak was excellent, tender and cooked to perfection. The other people in our party had fish which they said tasted fresh and quite happy with their meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

They were much better a few years ago. I had the lobster and filet. The lobster was very good. the filet however was not seasoned at all. My broccoli rabe was undercooked and the garlic was almost raw and not properly sauteed. My choc fudge cake would have probably tasted better the weekend before. The decor and views are great but unfortunately the entrees seem to be slipping in both quality and taste. read more

over a number of years, we've eaten at lombardi's on the bay many times. each tme we go its a "crap shoot" weather we have good servive or losey service. this past saturday it was the worst service yet. first the bartender didn't understand what a robroy drink was, after two tries she made it wrong. out of four drinks only one was correct "a gin martitn", but in a very small glass. the robroy was returned to the bar to another bartender he also didn't know what a robroy was. we told him how to make "now it was correct". we arived at 7:00 pm, at 8:30 we still didn't receive our main couse, when we asked our waitress were the food was, she said it was in the window (what ever that means?) after asking a third time when our meal was coming out we were getting one dumb answer after another, after i yelled across the dinning floor "when our food coming out" the manager came to the table with all kinds of excuses which were all "bull s---" answers to they problem. we also complained to him about the service at the bar with the lack of knowledge on how to make drinks. he also said "he didn't know what a robroy was". when ths food came out at 8:50pm it was good but we were to annoyed and it was to late to enjoy it, we eat only half. to make the night complete the valet service tried to give me someone else's car, when i told him the car was not mine "he ask me what my ticket number was". that was a joke, i hope! i found my keys hanging on the rack!!!!! even though we the like the location of the restaurant, sitting outside, enjoying the sun on a warm day, "this was our last meal" read more

As a member of the community for eleven years, I could not express the level of discontent I have with this establishment. For example, we asked to be sat outside and with ease we got seated fairly quickly however, the sever took hours to serve us our food. In addition, the table continued to rock and they had to place napkins underneath to keep it steady. Not only was I frustrated about the table situation because it did not work, I was more frustrated in the lack of service and customer service from the establishment. In many cases throughout the night, we wanted another drink or had a question about our meal however, the waitress was nowhere to be found because she was working with six other tables outside. Other people in the vicinity were having similar challenges and you can see how we were all upset. I truly hope this place takes into account customer service and does a better job of making the customer happy. Word in our community is the Lambardi fails to meet the needs of its customers and has terrible customer service. Beware. read more

Took my family of 5?there for thanksgiving . We made reservations and were seated promptly although the valet parking was a bit of a wait. The service was not great although everyone was nice. The food was good but very expensive. Our dirty dishes stayed on our table right until the check came. Once the meals came we never saw our server again. I had to find a manager to get our check. Then when we finally paid the bill we had a 15 minute wait because the valet lost our keys . Never again read more

We had reservations for a party of 9 to celebrate my son's college graduation. We called the restaurant to order a cake the day before our reservation and were told they would provide a house cake included with our dinner. This unfortunately didn't happen and put a damper on the evening. The manager stated they never provide a cake included with the dinner but he could offer us a cake for $100!!! He also stated he was not the manager on duty when we called and did not know anything about it. Not only was this upsetting but it was embarrassing in front of the entire party. The manager should have honored what the other manager offered. The waitress was personable, service was extremely slow, and the food was ok. We have had much better at other restaurants. The view and atmosphere is what gives it the 2 stars. It's really beautiful. Food on the other hand, not at all good. I had the chicken panini, no flavor. The broccoli rob wasn't all the way cooked, there was way to much and juices was too much. Chicken was plainly seasoned. Roasted peppers were to big. I had a 5:30 reservation there last night. I asked to sit outside and was told there were no tables, we could have a table inside looking out over the water. We were led into the bar area. There was live music, which was extremely loud. I looked outside and there were three empty tables. I pointed that out to the hostess and she reluctantly sat us outside. (There were additional empty tables on the lower level as well). We had two servers, and they weren't in sync. It took one hour to get our salad. I finally said something to the manager when he passed by. Our entrees came out approximately 40 minutes after the salad. The food was delicious, but the service was horrible. No one came by to refill our water. We asked for additional bread and grated Parmesan cheese. We never received either. I realize it was Father's Day, but they should have planned accordingly. Oh, and the sinks in the Ladies' Room were clogged. When I told the manager, he said they had the same problem the previous day. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. BTW, the tables surrounding us were served promptly and attended to. It was as though we were invisible. read more

Ordered the salmon with fennel, sea bass and walnut salad, traditional meatballs and pasta and amazing lobster bisque. Everything was great! I think this is the best of the Lombardi resturants. It is unusual to order a good meatball out but this resturant does it successfully. The attentive traditional all male wait staff is educated about the menu. I eat here frequently and have always had excellent tasty meals and generous proportions. My father eats here for brunch every Sunday- and brings home yummy leftovers! The wine list is complete so have a cocktail and enjoy the view- the wait for the food is a bit long but always worth it. read more

Last night we Came here for a Special dinner before my Son heads back to LA. We Started off with Fried Calamari and Mussels in Marinara Sauce. Both were very good. All the food was Amazing but I will hit on my Favorites and What I had. If you like Maine Lobster Bisque you gotta have this one... Very Creamy and a portion that you can share as you might not be able to finish it.. I had for my Entree Local Flounder Stuffed with Crabmeat - and baked with garlic, fresh lemon,& breadcrumbs with extra virgin olive oil over spinach was cooked perfect. Wife had Rigatoni with Shrimp, Scallops & Fresh Spinach in a light creamy grape tomato sauce which was also very tastey. My bridal party took me here to kick off my bachelorette party and it was fantastic. The scenery outside is great for taking pictures and I love that we had a view of the bay as we ate inside. We were so pleased to have celebrated our mom's surprise 50th birthday party! The venue is absolutely stunning and layout could not have been better. We are so impressed with Lombardi's behind the scenes and planning team. Sophia was a pleasure to work with and always accommodating. This event was treated with as much importance and attention as a wedding and it showed! We have held countless events and I have never been so impressed with our Maitre-D, Franchesca. I would highly recommend her to work any event for future clients. She will make your event seamless and take control of any situation that may come up. Her positive attitude, willingness to go above and beyond, and professionalism, had a huge contribution to making our event a success! She is a tremendous asset to Lombardi's on the Bay.
