Had a very disappointing experience with this establishment in the past week. We phoned in a dinner order that we would pick up since this is close to us. We'll never do this again... Parking at this place is just a nightmare. If lot is full there is no on street parking you are stuck. No designated spot in the lot to park if your are just picking up so had to wait for a spot to open. It was starting to snow hard. My wife ran it to get food and pay. Get back home only to find out some items from order were missing. The main entrees and apps were there but pizza slices ordered were not though we were charged for them! By now it's snowing even harder and road condition were bad so did not go back for the missing food. Called the restaurant and the girl refused to refund us unless we returned to restaurant! With the poor road conditions and other food already getting colder it was hardly worth the risk to go back. They offered us a credit for next time we return though we'd have no proof of this even occurring. Things got worse once we ate the food we had rec'd. The zucchini was greasy and soggy. My chicken was dry from over cooking though the vegetables were cooked good. Overall service was bad, food bad, and they ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing Saturday night dinner. We won't be collecting the money they owe us because we are not returning. For the prices this place charges you'd expect much better service and food. read more

You know when you have a specific food in mind that you can almost taste it? Well i decided to have my meal delivered for lunch. I am literally 8 mins away driving and 40 mins later, when it arrived the delivery was walking with it like it was a bag of fruits. Plate was on its side and when i mentioned it to the guy he clearly didnt care. Now im 8 minutes away and the food was room temperature. I had to reheat it. When you pay 20 plus dollars and you are only 8 mins away the food shouldn't be room temperature. Really disappointed with this restaurant. I know i may not make a big difference if i stop eating from here but i promise i wont recommend it to anybody else.I hope they can experience poor service so they can feel how i feel when you pay for poor service. read more

While I am not a big reviewer, I am a big FOODIE! I eat out on an average of 6 days per week. When a party of 8 books a reservation 2-3 days in advance, seating and service should be a priority, especially if the location of the table is addressed. I have frequented this location for take-out, delivery, lunch and dinner on many occasions. I consider myself a very good customer., When a guest has an issue, and it can't be addressed, management should intervene. Unfortunately, the food overall is on a mediocre level and doesn't warrant this type of acceptance. The staff while pleasant, do not have the management skills to handle certain situations. Not one member from the staff came to table during our entire visit to ask if everything was OK. Needless to say, my families experience was not an enjoyable one. First time there tonight. I highly recommend Grandmas Pie which is a Detroit style rectangular pizza with a thin crust. Think of it as thin crust Sicilian pizza. Really good! Chicken parm was also good. My niece chose this place for her big birthday dinner because she loves it as do many of my family members... and they know Italian food. This is probably my favorite restaurant. Today, I went to the Dobbs Ferry location of Lombardo's instead of the White Plains location because this location was closer. I really love this restaurant. The employees at this complex are so generous. They ask you if you would like more bread and of course we had to say yes. It was definitely a must. When you get the bread, it is so warm and it just melts into your mouth like an ice cream bar would. The service was excellent to begin with. The food was delicious and it was so warm. It was piping hot and you could still see the smoke in the air. The Sicilian and the Margherita slice were both delicious. Don't even get me started with dessert because that was great too. My party ordered a cannoli dip with chips which was fabulous. The cream was so creamy and the chips were like wafers. I will definitely come to Lombardo's again when I visit Dobb's Ferry. read more

Small slices for the price. The place is always a circus behind the counter with 7+ people taking slices in and out. Shockingly with all of those servers, you'd expect counter orders to be quick. On the other hand, they all distract each other and it can take a frustrating amount of time. Quality of the pizza leaves more to be desired but not horrible. Stopped in on a road trip from Boston to Baltimore today. We had no idea what to expect, only that it was the closest restaurant that wasn't a huge detour off of our route. We were pleasantly surprises by the decor. It is decorated beautifully and was very clean. The hostess didn't greet us and I had to approach her and ask for a table. She wasn't friendly, but the rest of the staff was great and accomodating. The kids just ordered cheese pizza which was good. I got the mesclun slice (sooooo good) and my husband got the Grilled Chicken Toscana Hero. He's actually the reason I am writing the review. He said it is legitimately one of the best things he has ever eaten in his life. Seriously, that is saying something! ME OH MY, could it get better? So, one of my girl friends took me here for dinner/drinks the other night and boy, I don't think I'll ever be the same. Let me start with what I do not like about Lombardo's (since it's such a short list): located in White Plains and I am located in Queens, NY...sigh. I would quickly become enormous though. White Plains folk, tread carefully. Ok moving along...my girlfriend and I split two large pasta dishes; little did we know that one would have been enough. I ordered the Linguine Con Vongole and she ordered the Spaghetti al Cartoccio. The Linguine Con Vongole is the perfect dish if you love carbs but have eater's remorse shortly after. It wasn't one of those pasta dishes where you you kinda feel like dying after from a food coma; it's the "euphoricly-satisfied-wish-I-had-leftovers-for-tomorrow-but-onto-dessert-now" pasta dishes. It is linguine served in their clam sauce topped with baby clams; definitely NOT the dish where you complain how little meat/seafood they give you. It comes jam-packed. Now onto the epic Spaghetti al Cartoccio...it was EVERYTHING. Not that I disliked my own dish, I've just been having dreams about the other since that night and I just can't shake it. This dish is spaghetti tossed with SHRIMP AND SAUSAGE, in some kind of heavenly pink sauce, and baked and served in foil. When presented to you, you're a bit intimidated, like, "Foil? What do I do now? This has never happened to me." DIG IN. That is all you need to do. Stop talking, put your phone away, lay down a napkin within a 1 foot radius of you and your plate, and just lose yourself. I don't think I can do it more justice. You're welcome. (All for super reasonable prices below $20 by the way). Moving on to everything else in the restaurant. It's beautiful! High ceilings, 3 televisions, roomy booths and tables, and very large bathroom. Adorable antique decorations all over that I'd like to steal for my own home but still also very new and modern so I'm not uncomfortable sitting in creaky furniture. Everyone is so helpful and attentive. There's literally employees everywhere; with a mere look around someone will stop to ask you if everything is ok or how they can help you, when really you were just admiring the scenery. Such a nice change from places where all the employees are hiding in the back. The bar has a great selection of cocktails and wines and beers for average prices. Don't see the cocktail you want? No problem, they're happy to accommodate you/learn new things. I do suppose my only complaint is there are no beers on tap. But the cute, friendly bartender makes up for it. Overall, I clearly had a remarkable experience. I even took pizza to-go for lunch the next day. Truly, cannot wait to return...next time I will come back with more friends so I can have a bite of at least 5 other dishes. You should do the same!! read more

At last - this place finally opened! My family and I went there for dinner late afternoon yesterday and, after being fans of The Sports Page (in the spot previously), I wondered what the new place would be like. We weren't disappointed. It's amazing what was done to the place. Industrial chic was the name my daughter gave it. Comfortable, over-sized seating in booths, well-spaced tables that didn't feel like people were on top of each other and a well-stocked, beautiful bar with a complete vista of the restaurant. The place settings were very nice, especially the flatware (I like and take note of the little things that enhance the overall experience). They featured a drink of the day - unusual in an Italian restaurant - and we tried one - the very delicious lemon basil martini. We got there around five pm and didn't have to wait for seating. We ordered the zuccini frittes which was served with a pomodoro sauce - a heaping portion that was delicious! For the entrees we ordered the chicken vesuvius, the pasta and bean soup and one of the salads. Everything came to the table hot (just like the bread with room temp speadable butter - that's important - who wants cold bread and then fight with a chunk of cold butter?!) and the service was quick and accurate. The food was flavorful and consistent - three out of four of us ordered the chicken. The portion sizes were good too and on REAL dinner plates, not luncheon plates that make you think you're getting more. Plenty of uniformed and friendly wait staff walking around to accommodate for additional glasses of water and soda too. As far as a market's concerned, I'm not expecting Fairway or Stop-n-Shop. Clearly, this is a feature of the restaurant that is in development and after checking it out and speaking with some of the staff, it will include and sandwiches and salads to-go in addition to the items there now - oils, pasta, vinegars and some fresh fruits and soups. I mean, they just opened and there's PLENTY to keep my interest until they hit their groove with a 'marketplace'. Prices were competitive and it's definitely a place for lunch with co-workers, dates and especially a good place for families. The overhead lighting and atmosphere is great - definitely make this a place to check out when you're out on Mamaroneck Avenue. They're open late seven days and the next time we're there, I'm trying their pizza and whatever else is on the front part of the restaurant's menu. I checked out the pizza that was there in the glass case and it looked fresh and appetizing - not like it's been sitting there and all dried out like the pizza at the Iron Tomato is sometimes. This is the place the area's been waiting for - a fresh choice for good Italian food and drink. I wish them a lot of luck and hope they're a big success. read more

Lombardo's is a higher-end, classy Italian/Pizzeria. The pasta's are all so good, and the salad with jumbo shrimp has some of the best shrimp I've ever eaten. It's really clean and the pizza and buffalo pin wheels are good. read more

Lombardo's has Good food and nice dining area. They also have a bar and a take out counter and gelato. The menu has everything other italian places have appetizers, soups, calzones, salads, speciality pies, and entrees from meat to seafood. I always get the stragitelle soup which has egg and spinach in a chicken base broth. They make it very good! I like the pizza here, especially the grandma and the Sicilian. You can get it by the slice, pie or individual pies as well for 1 or 3, made to order. The Tuscan steak salad is excellent and they put alot of steak in it so your getting your money's worth! It's mesculin greens, diced tomatoes, red onion and a touch of Gorgonzola cheese with they're specialty style dressing. My husband always gets the farmers salad (goat cheese, candied walnuts, onion, mixed greens raspberry vinaigrette) they used to have the BEST appetizer special consisting of fried artichokes with a dipping sauce that were excellent and couldn't be found anywhere else!! overall I am a satisfied customer. The only thing keeping them from a 5star review is they don't offer any unique items that could make them stand out from all the other italian restaurants nearby like that of those fried artichokes! A bit tardy with the review. Dined here about three weeks ago. Food was ok. The service really sucked. For a place that just opened, one would expect that the stuff would be falling all over themselves trying to be helpful. Getting seated was not an issue. We did not wait terribly long for the waiter to take our order. It just took a while for the food to arrive and then it took forever to get the check and more water for the table. No one seemed to be paying any attention to what was going on at each table. Plus it was difficult to catch anyone's attention to get anything. read more

Finally made it to Lombardos !!!!! The place is amazing the Decor looks amazing , the seats were amazing in the dining area its private you dont have all these people looking over you which I loved . Our Waiter Nancy was friendly, helpful, and energetic. Checked on us every few minutes and brought our order in a timley manner . We had Zucchini fritti and the kids had the Buffalo wings they were delish . For Entrees we had Shrimp Marinera , shrimp gamberi, Grilled Shrips (forgot the name of dish ) Buffalo Chicken Pizza , Desert we chocolate polenta and Carrot Cake .IT was all good we enjoyed our food . Stopped in for a pie to go. Decided to sit at the bar and have a drink while I waited. I asked the bartender if a particular seat was available and she said it was free... she made no attempt to clear away the two empty glasses in front of me. After that, I sat there for 15 minutes and was totally ignored by three different bartenders. The kids at the pizza station were great. Very friendly and outgoing. The people on the bar restaurant side were...meh at best....I was invisible The pizza was not bad, but not good enough to get me to come back anytime soon. Too bad...their service and quality have gone downhill. They've gotten too busy for their own good and can't handle. They're constantly forgetting to give you your complete order on takeout or delivery which makes you have to wait around forever for your complete order while your other food gets cold. Or they give you something different than what you ordered. You have to always check your order on pickup, otherwise you'll need to take a ride back (or worse wait because they haven't made a part of your order) because they have become so inconsistent and unreliable. This is on top of the long wait on the phone to place an order or to call back because they messed up!. It's too much work. Portions have also shrunk, from their rolls to slices to pasta dishes. Portions are now small and it's become very expensive for what you get... read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE HOSTESSES ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE ELDERLY/HANDICAPPED. PIZZA VERY BLAND AND TASTELESS. Because we were bringing out a 95 year old relative that had a walker, I went very early on a Friday night, around 4:45. There were only 3 tables that were taken, and the restaurant was virtually empty. The hostess, a dark haired girl with a ponytail came over and asked how many we would be. I said 4, but we had someone coming in with a walker, so we needed to be somewhere out of the way. The hostess escorted us to a table to the right side of the doorway ,in a very busy area, instead of bringing us to the back. We asked if we could move somewhere else out of the way, and she gave us a dirty look and just glared at us. She said nothing, so we picked a table that was a safer bet for a handicapped person and sat down. My mother commented and said,"did you see the look she just gave you!". I tried to ignore it and we sat down and ordered. We ordered the pizza margherita, a salad, mozzarella sticks, and fried calamari. The appetizers were good, but we waited over 30 minutes for the pizza. The waitress, who was very nice, kept telling us it wouldnt be much longer. The pizza finally arrived and it was cold! We sent it back, and waited again. We got the pizza back 10 minutes later, and it was luke warm, very bland and tasteless. During the meal, we saw the hostess seat 2 families at the table she tried to seat us at. Both families asked to be moved during their meal, because the sun was beaming through the window, and she moved them both without a dirty look. She only seemed to have a problem with my grandmother and her walker! Not a very good experience. Wont be going back! read more

This place is down the street from my job, and one of the few restaurants in the area so I've been there quite a few times. Every time I leave I remember why I disliked it. Here is a run down of my visit yesterday (This doesn't include previous poor experiences) 1. After waiting 30 minutes for a chicken roll, broccoli pinwheel and side salad the salad was hot (Obviously sitting out) and the chicken roll and pinwheel were cold, room temperature at best. 2. The table next to us ordered 3 entrees and their food arrived faster than ours.... by 15 minutes. 3. Even though our waiter was nice the service was SLLLOOOOOWWWWW. It always is! 4. I checked my credit card balance today and found that I was charged for our bill, and found a second charge for $30 which I didn't authorize! I didn't want to leave a bad review because the food is good (Never great) and the staff is nice BUT yesterdays cold food, long wait and stolen money put me over the edge. UPDATE: On Friday I called to have the second charge refunded, I spoke with one of the owners who promised the refund would be processed on Friday and he would follow up with me to confirm. It is Monday and I never received a follow up. I called back today and spoke with another owner who said the refund was processed on Sunday, not Friday as promised but couldn't tell me when to expect the refund on my statement... waiting for another call back. Its owned by 2 young guys who are serious about their food, nothing goes out before they take a look at it, the place is always packed and rightly so, everything is delicious hot and well priced. its great you can sit in this well designed restaurant and have something at the bar even if you are alone and feel welcome. I have had take out from Lombardo's several times but tonight I went to dine in with 9 friends. They were able to accommodate our large party with no issues. The waitress was great she went over the specials and answered our questions on the menu. The service was great, food was delicious.
