Went here after a meeting with two other friends. The place is good size, well lit and plenty of seating! The hostess was friendly and inviting. My disappointment was with the server. Just seemed they wanted to be anywhere but there. lol. I get it we all have bad days and maybe this was his? Who knows. But, in this line of business, you just need to put on that happy face. lol. My night is ruined. Not only does the garlic bread only have garlic on one side, but they didn't give utensils or napkins with my order. The marinara container which is inside the garlic bread container was opened on delivery due to it's flimsy top. Drinks were good but pricey. Waitress was super friendly and training a new girl. Food was good- chicken scarpiello and Marsala. I thought it was expensive for an upscale cafeteria vibe. For a $32.00 entree (that should be $25) a better atmosphere would be nice. Overall we had fun but not running back there. My food order was delivered wrong I called I was told it depends on who is cooking. When asked to speak to a supervisor or manager I was told that was the managers response. Lombardo's (specifically White Plains) is one of my favorite places in all of Westchester. I usually get take out because parking is impossible and it's always so crowded. Luckily they have valet service and designated spots for people who are picking up but it's still on a major road and so popular that it can be a hassle but the food is so worth it. My go-to order is a slice of Grandma pizza and of course their delicious fried burrata. That fried burrata is one of my favorite comfort foods and I haven't found it anywhere else. This last time I went, I was craving mozzarella sticks specifically so I decided to try theirs and also try a margherita pizzette for myself. It was perfect, the dough is thin but not too thin, and crispy but not too hard to eat and the sauce is so flavorful and acidic balanced out by the fresh mozzarella. I really love a good margherita slice and that's what this was. Everything hits the right notes for me. Also worth noting that I would go way more often if it was less expensive. There are so many Italian places in Westchester that are cheaper but not many of them have food as delicious as Lombardo's. read more

I needed to bring dinner for 12 people. I don't live in the area, so I relied on the recommendations in Yelp and found Lombardo's. They were great! I was concerned about transporting hot food in my car, but they had put the metal trays inside a cardboard box so it was easy to carry. They provided forks, knives, napkins, and plates, and both bread and garlic sticks. And the food was delicious. Next time I'm in the area, I'll stop by for lunch or dinner. Food is vert good. Staff service can be spotty. Example, our appetizers were delivered to the wrong table, staff couldn't figure it out, food was walked around the whole restaurant before we got it. Then entrees came but again pizza was delivered to the wrong table (unknowns breathing all over it as they told bus staff again they didn't order it, food was walked around the whole restaurant again until I grabbed the guy and told him it was ours. Decided to try this location out after being a regular at their Dobbs Ferry branch. Ordered delivery via UberEats, and the food was still piping hot by the time it got to us. Really pleased that the recipes are consistent between locations. The Pesto Rosso is delicious and is a staple for us. The Cartoccio usually is served in a foil packet but I guess for delivery purposes it came without. Still pretty tasty. The one thing they offer at this branch and not the Dobbs Ferry one is side pasta for $9.50 (appetizer portions) and you get to pick between vodka, marinara, pomodoro, Alfredo, and butter garlic for the sauce. They also offer pinwheels which I was so excited to try out. I definitely will be ordering from the White Plains location more often. read more

Salad and pasta were good, but I was a little disappointed by the pizza which was greasy and unseasoned- definitely not NYC style pizza. Also, my extra salad slice was considerably stale. However, I really appreciate the bread basket. These days, a bread basket is hard to come by, and using leftover pizza dough (which I think they used) is actually a great idea that ought to catch on. Parking was tight--as usual. Today though, Lady Luck was dealing, and we scored a spot straight away. I got the garlic bread with mozzarella. My goodness the bread was so light on the garlic and so heavy on the cheese that I was very disappointed--albeit not so disappointed so as to not gullet my portion of the entire loaf. Not wanting to put myself into a trajectory toward unrepentant gluttony--I asked the waiter to plate half and put half in a tin to go. My face glistening with glee, I let out a sigh of content, slid back in my chair and thought about what made the dish so good--it was the moist chicken that absorbed a good amount of the savory sauce. I tried my friends pasta in foil too--and it was soooooo good. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the red creamy sauce had saturated the pasta nicely. Next time, this will be my order. The waitress was ok--didn't check on us much. I felt slightly neglected, but slightly more thirsty. The seats were ok. The acoustics of the restaurant are terrible. Suggest the owner install some acoustic overhead tiles or put up signs that discourage hooting, hollering or loud chitter chatter. Lighting was just fine but it was lunchtime and there are lots of windows. If 1,2,3,4,5 stars equate to poor, fair, good, very good and excellent then the food gets a 4, service a 3, cacophonous noise pollution a 2. Quite nice. Had dinner here last Friday night and found the food commendable and the service excellent. They have a thriving pizza bar and a full Italian menu, including everything from apps to entrees and dessert. It's a big open space and noisy. Multiple large TVs are set to sports events and the bar was crowded. We were there during the happy hour and things got a little quieter after 7:00 or 7:30. A lot of families with children finished and left around then and the music which had been contributing to the din was turned down, which I (as an old fart, I guess) appreciated. Anyway, we had a nice meal and I would be happy to go back, though I would prefer to go mid-week for obvious reasons. There are any number of other Italian restaurants around here comparable to Lombardo's but I believe that this is one of the better ones. You won't be disappointed in the food or service. read more

Rudest place I've ever been to. Had a reservation for 6pm with my family. Arrived exactly on time, and the hostess simply looked and me and said "I have no tables available. You can wait". No explanation, no apology, no timing for a table. So I had to ask how long the wait would be. "15 minutes, maybe longer." So I started to wait with my family next to another group of people waiting. Then she had the nerve to tell me and my family to go stand in the corner out of the way. Never been treated so rudely in a restaurant. This hostess definitely has a problem working in a service industry. So I left and went to one of the thousand other pizza pasta places I the area. This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced in my life!! I came in with a large group for an 80th birthday celebration. We arrived around 430pm, to an almost empty restaurant expecting to have a nice dinner. Inside is nice, and appears clean until you go into the bathroom... again, it was no later than 5pm when I went into the men's room, inside was FILTHY! (please look at my picture). Garbage over flowing, water and dirt on the floor - it was obviously not cleaned from the previous day because at this time Lombardo's was nearly empty. From the moment we sat down we were ignored... our group of approximately 10 people sat down for at least 20-25 minutes before we were even greeted with bread and asked for our drink orders. Our server Luis was terrible! No personality and spent most of his time flirting with other wait staff rather then taking our order. We eventually got apps, after flagging Luis down. Food was actually good - the service just ruined everything. Again, Luis failed to take our dinner orders once apps arrived. They were all finished before we once again had to ask another waiter to send Luis to the table to take dinner orders. I had the veil sorrentino (very good). Several minutes into our meal the bill was dropped... we never asked for it, since we wanted desert for the birthday we were celebrating. We attempted to break up the staffs "flirting time" but were ignored. Finally we asked our bus boy to send our waiter over. We eventually got desert but no updated bill. In anger we all decided to say screw it, and pay the original bill we were presented (which did not have the deserts on them) since we were obviously not important enough to be tended to. Amazingly once our money came out we started to get Luis' attention. He ran over to tell us the bill needed to be amended... (obviously looking for his tip). Overall, we left frustrated after this visit - all agreeing that we will never return! After coming at 430 we finally left 3 and a half hours later... Worst service experience I have ever had!
