London's Pub used to be the spot, especially when the original team was there. Ever since they left, the service has gone downhill. I've come back several times hoping each visit would be better because this place used to be one of my favorites, but I've left disappointed every time. During my most recent visit, our waiter got our drinks wrong, charged us incorrectly, and kept forgetting simple things like our condiments. They also appeared to be impaired, which made the whole experience feel unprofessional and concerning. It's honestly sad because London's isn't the spot it used to be. Thankfully, there are plenty of other places on Myrtle with much better service. I really hope they can turn things around because this place used to be great. read more

We sat at the bar. It was our first time here and we went in the middle of a weekday so it wasn't very busy. The atmosphere was very inviting. I loved all the little London touches. The variety of beers on tap was great. My husband and father-in-law were both able to find something they liked. I opted for a mule and my mother-in-law opted for the dirty martini. Both drinks were good, nothing to write home about. Although, the menu said the dirty martini came with blue cheese stuffed olives but it was served with just plain olives. The food was great! I had the chicken pozole special and it was very good. My husband had the jalapeño bacon burger and really enjoyed it. The pork sliders were also great! Seems like a cool spot to drink and watch the game....hmm to have a meal though? I don't think so.. At my table we ordered a bowl of red pozole and asada tacos. The taco plate came out as nachos because the girl messed up the order. & the nachos were not that good. The pozole was a scavenger hunt. I had to fish around a giant bowl of broth to find any meat or hominy. On top of that they put cabbage on top and not on the side which was odd because when it got to me it was already like hot n soggy...I'd prefer it on the side so I can add it when I'm ready. Even though the waitress messed up the order we had to politely let her know that we'd only pay for what we ordered. She was offering to do that and a complimentary beer. The bill came out correct but we never saw that beer. She was too busy flirting with the guy in the booth next to us. The beer was good. The service by our server is great, the kitchen on the other hand is very DISAPPOINTING today. SECOND TIME we've been disappointed in a row. Last time we got REHEATED FISH. This time, Everything I've asked for is NOT AVAILABLE. Like, wtf!?! This place was once one of my favorites in Monrovia, as of late, not anymore! I asked for Angry Orchard, it's not cold, so basically not available. We asked for clam chowder, not on the menu anymore. Asked for street dogs, NONE. Asked for taquitos, there was no cheese. Basically they changed their menu and many favorites were removed from the menu. Luckily I was still able to get my bacon wrapped dates, but they are NOT on the menu anymore. Also thankful that they were able to provide the celery salad. As I mentioned before, our waitress LEELEE was very kind and helpful but it really sucks for her when she has to KEEP DISAPPOINTING her customers. I honestly felt bad for her because hated having to tell us that FOOD WAS NOT AVAILABLE. As for the ambience, it was too damned loud with screaming clients yelling at the tv. I get it that the game is exciting, but when my ears hurt because they're screaming almost in my ears, that's just not pleasant. Generally, the atmosphere is good, but these last few visits have been very disappointing. At least the food that I was able to get this time, was tasty. But the changes are not better. This place used to be cool. My last experiences here were great, until they recently hired some new people with bad attitudes. My girlfriend and I got terrible service. I do not wanna play the race card, because I saw other interracial couples like us eating and enjoying our time here. I ordered Fish n Chips for myself. Fish seem like some preheated microwave crap. Dropped in for a few drinks and we made the right choice after careful observation from other bars/food. I couldn't decide on brews. I ordered a Sour Lemon Drop Martini. It was made delicious & presented/garnished with exceptional care. The second one was sloppy, I should have ordered from the first bartender. Maui Pineapple beer was enjoyed. After 1/2 hour of eyeballing orders of food go past us, we decided on Fish & Chips, & Shrimp Tacos. The cook in the back had it going to our taste. Service was generally fine, but I was already seated when the waiter started spraying cleaning solution directly onto the table, which I inhaled and it gave me a really bad headache. I'd suggest staff clean tables before seating guests or avoid spraying while a customer is sitting there. read more

Unfortunately the vibe has totally changed since they fired the entire staff who worked there for over 10 years. The new crew seems nice, but nowhere near as personable or "fun" as the old crew. I don't get that same hometown feel that I used to -- it feels transactional. London used to be PACKED on Fridays and some Saturdays but now every time I walk by, it's dead. I've popped in during the day a couple times and the vibe is pretty stale. It's no longer the place to catch a game or celebrate a birthday. Also, the Jukebox seems to prevent you from playing anything other than country music. Seems like they are only welcoming a specific crowd during daytime hours. It's unfortunate because I know there were issues with the party getting too much out of hand in the past, but I don't think that was the bartenders' fault. Yes, the old bartenders poured with a heavy hand, but if I'm the owner, I'd rather keep my seats full with patrons who are ordering food and multiple drinks versus an empty bar where the drinks are overpriced and watered down (compared to the other bars nearby) -- to where this just becomes a place to "stop in for 1 drink" rather than hang out all night with your friends. Please, hire competent people that are good with communication and friendly with customers. I realize bartending can be a tough gig, but at the bare minimum, make a decent drink so I can have something nice to say about the place. My entire group was left wondering where the alcohol was in our glasses ( exception was the green tea shots, the bar back made those). We were not offered water, and when someone did ask for some, they brought us a pitcher with no cups. I sent back my food because it was missing a key ingredient, which had I known I would have ordered something they could make. The server tried to pick a fight with me and told me I'd still have to pay for it since I "ate it." (I took one bite of a slice of flatbread). The drink and meal I exchanged were still on my bill when I went to close, she even rolled her eyes when the lead had to comp them because I brought it to her attention. (Keep in mind, I still tipped, because I'm not a jerk.) I went to this place against my better judgment, it was not my choice, but I was hopeful to try again, I should have protested when someone chose it for the group. If you like bad attitude servers, watered down drinks, and places that don't restock their bathrooms, this place is for you. Maybe they do capture the spirit of London ? I solely come here for the beer and the fish and chips. The appetizers are good, but if there's one thing that this place, I feel needs to stop doing is turning it into a club. I've come multiple times and don't get me wrong. I get that they're trying to pull more people in but turning a very small compact space into a dance floor is not the right idea. Service can be satisfactory at times when it's not as packed but when there is a DJ playing, good luck getting your food . I do like that. They have very options of beers on tap, and that their servers are more than willing to guide you just to have a general idea of what you might like to drink. The fish and chips are too huge fillets of cod over a huge bit of fries. They skim a little bit on the tartar sauce, but luckily you can always ask for more. Whenever we are craving fish and chips we always come to this place. Their fish is flakey and their fries are lightly seasoned letting the fish shine through. We also love their chicken sandwich that has a hint of spice. We loved it paired with smoked bacon on their toasted sourdough bread...oh so good. It was Taco Tuesday so we tried their queso taco with carne asada which was pretty good. We so tried their special menu beef steak salad which was decently priced at $18. This place is kinda like a dive bar now. It used to have a fun and busy atmosphere, but now it's just dead. The staff (bartenders) are careless, inexperienced and uninterested in doing their job. They spend more time chatting with coworkers behind the bar instead of serving patrons at the bar. Side note, don't order the margarita. They make it with sour mix and not margarita mix. Any bartender with half a brain should know sour mix is made from lemons....and a margarita is not made from lemons. read more

I'm a huge music lover and I usually like going here for a drink after dinner. I enjoyed it mainly because of the TouchTunes Jukebox. I noticed someone was playing all country the entire time (bad country too!!). I paid more to 'bump' a song to play my song next. It never played. I tried it one more time and it was still skipped. I mentioned it to our waiter, but he said he didn't know why that happened. I tried a third time and gave up. I was hoping it did not spend my credits ...but it did! Someone was skipping the songs but I was still getting charged and charged extra for the 'bump' price. Pretty ticked off about it. If you're a real music person, don't go here and 'waste' your credits. The bar is fun , until the bar has friends that come and start pushing people and accusing people of sleeping and disrespecting individual's. They're pushing people to leave and to close out there tab so they can charge people for othet crimes. I didn't understand how the security just tells people to leave. I took a friend here for lunch today and we each had a margarita which they weren't that bad.. she had buffalo wings and I had their signature fish and chips.. we were very disappointed in the quality of the food the wings were cold in the center tasted like they were from a frozen bag.. my fish on a fish and chips the fish was greasy and soft not crunchy and tastey, tasting the tartar sauce was bland... our waitress was plant professional took our order when we were ready brought us our drinks even made suggestions to my friend on what type of Margarita to get.. this place gets a three out of 10 stars from us with the exception of the waitress she was cool we probably will never go back to this place again.. but it was worth a shot I went on the people who gave it five stars.. you guys must have went on a better afternoon read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service here is beyond awful--easily some of the worst I've ever experienced. The bartenders are rude, dismissive, and slow as molasses. It's like they go out of their way to ignore you, even when it's not busy. Last Friday night was the cherry on top of my decision. I once waited over 20 minutes for a drink while they stood around chatting with each other. It doesn't stop there. The servers are just as bad--forget about getting anything in a reasonable amount of time, and don't even think about asking for something extra; they'll act like you're an inconvenience for simply being there. The vibe of this place used to be great, but the lack of basic customer service has completely ruined it. It's almost impressive how bad they've let things get. This is not a British pub despite the name. The top of the menu says "London Pub: An American Gastropub" which makes very little sense. They have almost no British beers, the menu is for a large part Mexican food, and the bar was loudly blasting crappy new country music the whole time I was there. The waitress didnt seem like she gave an eff about waiting her tables, which I don't blame her for in this day and age. She recommended "mulitas" which I had never had before. They were like open-faced cheese and cabbage tacos. They were really delicious! The beer menu didnt have a lot of good or interesting choices- I felt like I was in the beer aisle at Vons. we didnt have any real reason to stay, so we left to get another beer elsewhere.
