But the food was good, it was hot, tasted like it had not been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The vegetable chow mein was fire, in fact there was not a choice I made which I could say didn't taste good. Items that stood out to me were the Jalapeño Chicken, pepper beef, zucchini shrimp, and buffalo wings. That's not all I had, but that's what I'm able to remember off the top of my head. There are mixed Yelp reviews about this restaurant. Since it was still highly recommended by a friend, we went to lunch here yesterday. Well, I enjoyed the buffet. For lunch @$16.99 is pretty reasonably. The cost is just like an order of a plate in a diner and you only get one kind of entree. As the saying goes "A picture is worth a thousand words" , so verbal descriptions of all the tasty dishes are not enough. First of all I would like to say that I had not been to an all you can eat Chinese buffet in years and only went because my 12 year old granddaughter wanted to go there. I think she just gets a kick out of picking out her own food and filling up her plate. Truthfully it's more about the experience for her and less about the quality of the food. She really enjoyed it and would probably give it 5 stars. However I went into it with low expectations, so in that respect I was not disappointed. Most everything I tried lacked flavor. For example, the chicken teriyaki was dried out and I didn't taste any teriyaki. I wings were plain. I did not try the buffalo wings which I'm glad because they looked messy and the staff was not generous with the napkins. The chow main did have flavor but unfortunately it wasn't good. Of all the things I tried the one redeeming dish was the General Tso Chicken. It was sweet and spicy and I did enjoy it. The staff was not friendly and generally looked like they didn't want to be there. They would walk by the tables frequently but not pay attention if they needed drinks refills in spite of our empty cups sitting on the edge of the table. We got our drinks refilled only once and that happened because I had to wave my arm to get their attention. The place itself was clean including the bathrooms which was appreciated. The service was incredibly bad. Staff would stand around chatting in groups, and it was hard to even get to my seat despite repeatedly saying excuse me. Cleanliness was also an issue, as I found random hairs on multiple scoops of food I ate, which was extremely off-putting. Beware of the charges. Me and my husband came here for lunch on a Saturday. Before we were seated, we clearly asked the lady behind the counter for the lunch price, and she said it is $16.99. The only reason I'm giving this a 1 star is the service especially the hostess and the other woman who asked for drinks because of their bad attitudes and making mean mugging faces. I remember one time one of the guys greeted the people who are not Hispanic but when they saw me and husband they just ignore us and walk away Hmmmm makes me think that they are being rude and racist. Went here for my birthday with my parents for lunch on a weekday. The place was huge, good for large parties. It was clean and the food area looked good too. I saw the post on the restroom being not clean enough but I didn't use it so I couldn't tell you how it was. I have to say, for a buffet, they had some really good choices and during lunch I might add. I am not usually impressed by the flavors or choices of "buffets" that are not in Vegas, but this one was quite decent. It is hard to tell you what I had, but I will just say that everything that I tried was good. They had choices of Japanese, Chinese, and American. Their fruit and salad bar was really good with the fruits being really sweet. This is also the first time I have been to a buffet where the ice cream is not in the form of soft serve. There is actually a freezer like when you go to an Ice cream shop where you can get your own choice of flavors. It is really cool actually.
