My old car - a Nissan Pathfinder with 160,000+ miles on it - required repairs roughly 3x the car's value. So, a new car was indicated. We started out looking for a replacement Pathfinder at the local dealership. But, the guy at Nissan didn't know too much about cars, and the new Pathfinder had devolved from a sporty 4x4 to a grocery hauling 7 seater van! So, we started looking at options online, and identified some dealerships to visit. We called around, and by far the best response was Tatiana at BMW's online department. She provided straight information about cars and options, explained what was available and why, etc. It is refreshing to get customer service that is actually customer service. With her help, we identified a couple of possibilities on their lot. Long Beach BMW is a massive facility, and so you have to guess where the front entrance is. We always go in a side entrance for some reason, and then have to hoof it to the front desk. The front desk is staffed with a bunch of people who don't appear to be doing anything, but who tell you to wait while they get you the person on duty. But, the wait was just a few minutes and we were set up with a car loving BMW expert who walked us through various choices/options. We finally settled on a car, but by now the evening was growing late (7pm Saturday) and so our guy was working on his own with little support from his team. Getting our car out for the test drive took a while as he hoofed back and forth getting the keys needed to move the cars blocking us from our test drive. We test drove our purchase - a 2015 BMW 528i - and were amazed at the car. You can find tons of writeups on the car elsewhere. They have a specific street course they want you to drive, I drove around it a couple of times. Still loved the car, and decided to buy it. This is the point in the story where things slowed down. It's roughly 8pm, Saturday night. We offered to come back the next day but both the sales guy and management stated they had no problem at all completing the transaction that night. But, there were a couple of problems. First, our sales guy had obligations that night, and kept having to text while he was with us. Second, nobody kept in touch with us while they did paperwork. So, we were seated and left alone for close to an hour. I had been offered water earlier and finished it, but nobody offered my wife anything. She was pretty thirsty (we were at the dealership for about 3 hours); I ended up asking a random employee where she could get some water and he helped us out. After the first half hour, I asked and was assured paper was in progress. When we bought a car at another dealership, the paper was completed with us present, so we were able to communicate about title, financing choices, etc. We were all agreed that we wanted to get out (because it's now after 9:00p on Saturday) and so the finance guy was working to do the paper as fast as he could, which is of course without our input. But what it meant was that my wife wasn't on the title when they drew up the paper, which did not exactly endear me on the home front. The guy offered to redo the paper, but by now it's 9:30 and nobody wants to start the paper from scratch at that point. In signing the papers, this dealership REQUIRES YOU TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHTS to addressing problems in court AND REQUIRES YOU TO SUBMIT TO BINDING ARBITRATION if they choose. The guy promised me that it's the same with every dealer. The language requiring arbitration is on a form that is used statewide, but the clause remains significant insult to the consumer and should be removed. Our car guy/salesman was nowhere to be seen, though he appeared as we prepared to drive off. While we were waiting on the paper, the dealership had the car detailed and filled with gas. It was beautiful to drive home in. I'd like to end on some positive notes: the facility is clean and well-maintained. Everyone is courteous. Because the electronics are relatively sophisticated, they offer individual "trainings" with a "genius" to show you how to use all the features. I went back the next day and spent about an hour and a half with a genius; his knowledge of the car's systems and ability to explain them were superb. Finally, after a week's shakedown, I discovered a minor problem with the radio buttons. Took the car in, and it was fixed, and the car washed and vacuumed, in a little over an hour, at no charge. So, this is basically a five star review, knocked down 1 star because I feel our salesman (a) should not have been texting, (b) should have been more attentive to us while we waited for over an hour on the paperwork, including managing the interface with the finance/title guy, and (c) the title guy should have checked with us about title before assuming my wife wouldn't want to be on the title. read more

This dealership has completely soured my view of the BMW brand. They are either completely dishonest or completely inept. We finished the purchase process after 8pm and paid using a check, with the understanding that we'd bring a cashier's check in the morning to avoid having a credit inquiry made. It was explained that they still had to run credit because a check takes days to clear, whereas it would not be necessary with a cashier's check (which clears immediately). The next morning we dropped off the cashier's check as requested. Much to our dismay, they deposited the original check (which they said would be destroyed) as well as the cashier's check, meaning we paid for this car twice! After getting nowhere with BMW Long Beach on this matter, we resolved it through our bank instead. BMW never offered even an apology for making this VERY EXPENSIVE mistake. Corporate BMW was meant to be investigating this and offered to reimburse our costs for any banking fees involved... then they never did. Not to mention, even had they reimbursed the fees, these are minimal compared to the stress, agony, and anxiety of having over $55k withdrawn from our bank account FRAUDULENTLY by Long Beach BMW. Had this been the only negative of this dealership, I wouldn't have left a review. We purchased the car 4 months ago, and I'm only now writing a review due to the lack of care and follow through exhibited on numerous other occasions since. My wife took the car in to get the computer system fixed, as it would randomly stop working (GPS, Apple Car Play, Sirius Radio, etc). After 4 days, they called to say the car was ready to be picked up; however, when picking up the car she noticed there was suddenly no Sirius Radio software and they STOLE her Billy Joel CD from the CD component of the audio system. She was told that she could bring her car in the next day so that they could re-install Sirius, but that the CD was nowhere to be found. Today is that "next day" and Long Beach BMW thought it would be better, without asking, to have the technician call my wife to walk her through re-installing the Sirius software, which took over almost 45 minutes. To recap: My wife took the car in to have a BMW problem solved by BMW. Instead, they took 4 days to steal a CD, uninstall and never re-install Sirius software, and wasted our time on numerous occasions! We still haven't received reimbursements for banking fees associated with the HUGE mistake BMW Long Beach made. We still have not received an apology for costing us days of anxiety, stress and sleepless nights. We still have not recovered the stolen CD. We still have not been made right by BMW wasting countless hours of our time for their blunders. BMW Long Beach has customer service and integrity on the level of some stereotypical used car dealership and we'll never again purchase from them. Simply disgusting. read more

This is the best story you'll ever hear about a car purchase....My lease wasn't up for 6 months but my previous BMW dealership was hounding me incessantly to lease a new 7 series. They said they could beat my current leasing payment and save me a bundle..Bottom line was they wanted $1,000.00 pay off because my tires were worn and there was a scratch under the front bumper. I told them the price I was willing to pay on a new lease and they said I could only get that price if I leased a 740 and no way on the 750, which was my previous vehicle. They had me believeing all this and even though I had NOT committed to anything I did say I liked a certain color of vehicle with a certain color interior which was hard to find.. They called and told me they had ordered it and would be available for pick up the next day. I did not feel comfortable with any part of their terms so my husband decided to call a different dealer. In comes Lauren Isbell from Long Beach BMW. I spoke with her for approximately 5 minutes over the phone and she quoted me the payment I had requested on the 750 with NO pay off on my other car. The only problem was the car I wanted was now at the other dealership.. Next day, I called the other dealership and told them I was not happy with their offer and would not accept it. That deal was off! Their greed, aggressiveness, and unprofessionalism lost them the deal. Here comes the BEST part..... Lauren called and requested a car of the same color combination that, of course they had, and since no deal had ever been made, it was driven to the Long Beach dealership and detailed for me. My husband and I went to the Long Beach BMW dealership and met Lauren. She was professional, so friendly, experienced in every aspect of finance and made me feel so comfortable. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy with every part of my experience and sale of my new vehicle. No one wants to spend hours buying a new car. We signed paper work and I'm telling you the truth when I say we were done and out of there in 20 minutes. She even went so far as to drive a loaner vehicle to my home the next day so she could take my new car back and have my previous chrome rims switched to my new car. What started well did not end well...BMW VALUES PROFIT OVER CUSTOMER'S LIVES-FAMILY OF 4 ALMOST KILLED The public need to be aware that this is happening...This information could save a life...On March 5, 2016 my 2014 BMW320i (leased from Long Beach BMW) instantly decelerated without warning from 45 mph on a busy highway in Torrance to 20mph, then 5 mph. Cars were swurving as they tried to avoid hitting me and my 3 kids. After the frantic screams and chaos, I was able to get over and the car stopped showing "Drive Train Malfunction" in the display. I contacted Long Beach BMW where I leased the vehicle and they sent out a tow company. After the car was examined at Long Beach BMW, technicians said, "We don't know if the engine software needs an update until a malfunction occurs." They let me know that they had "updated" the software. However, in the service notes, when it comes down to targeting the issue at hand, it is "inconclusive". They do not know why the car instantly decelerated and are not sure if the update resolved the issue. BMW refuses to take their leased vehicle back due to it being unsafe and has failed to provide technical engineer reports. They rather deflate my credit with a repossession...I left the car at Long Beach BMW for an assessment by a Technical Engineer. I was told by Alexa at BMW North America that she would get back to me with their findings...She called a month later after I informed the news of my complaint...She stated that she is "unsure" why the car malfunction, but Service states that the car is ok to drive- Case Closed. I asked for the technical engineer report, they have not provided it. As a cover up, the car as it remained at the dealer was "repoed" without notification. HOW CAN A CAR BE REPOSSESSED WHEN IT WAS UNDER TECHNICAL INVESTIGATION? I had refused to take the vehicle back into my possession because it is unsafe for me and my family. They refused to let me out of the lease without having to pay them...WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THEIR ERROR... It seems that they want to sweep this situation underneath the rug...Now that the car is in their possession, they will resale it to someone else. WHOMEVER BUYS THE VEHICLE WILL BE AT RISK! I recently discovered, that in 2010 and 2011, There were reported issues with deceleration. I am writing to share my incredibly disappointing experience with BMW Long Beach dealership. I strongly advise against purchasing or servicing your vehicle there. From start to finish, my encounters with both the sales and service departments were nothing short of appalling, leaving me 100% unsatisfied.Just two months after purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle, I discovered that one of the right front wheel lug nuts was loose and would not tighten at all. When I brought it to the dealership, instead of receiving assistance, I was met with incredulity and baseless accusations about the issue. It was later revealed that the vehicle had been transferred from Beverly BMW to Long Beach BMW without undergoing proper inspection, forcing them to rectify the problem. This negligence left me deeply unsettled, especially considering I regularly transport my 18-month-old daughter in the vehicle.Four months later, I noticed that the rear right door was misaligned, refused to close properly, and protruded outward--the same door my daughter sits near. Upon inspection, the dealership confirmed that the car had indeed been in a prior accident, despite the clean CarFax report. They attempted to align the hinges, but the door remained uneven. To compound matters, upon returning home, I discovered a glaring dent on the same door. Despite numerous attempts to contact the dealership, including leaving messages for the shop foreman and used car manager, I have received no response regarding this matter, even after two weeks.I spent three months meticulously searching for a vehicle in pristine condition, trusting that a certified pre-owned vehicle would meet my expectations. When it comes to purchasing luxury vehicles, I've learned a thing or two. We've owned Cadillac's, Mercedes, Land Rovers & BMW's. I have even bought from Sterling and have dealt with Crevier over the years. Needless to say the last two dealers mentioned left a bad taste in my mouth. How could a dealer be so pompous when I WAS THE ONE WHO OWNED THE FLIPPIN' car??? I was so turned off with the high end luxury dealers that I went out and bought one of the brand new Dodge Durango's with a HEMI. After about 10 months, I just couldn't deny the fact that I still was in love with BMW. Add to the fact that my AWD R/T Durango was getting about 11 miles to the gallon. Ouch! So I called Eloy and talked to him about my situation. He said come on down. I negotiated with him & Greg - they gave me a very fair amount for my Durango & worked with me on the 2010 528i that I purchased from them. I have been telling everyone I know that is in the market for a BMW to give them a call. They are a Corporate owned BMW dealership, there is no games, and they are very willing to help you make a deal (granted you can afford it and that you have good credit, of course =D ) I live in HB and will drive to Long Beach to have them work on my vehicle from here on out. Sterling and Crevier lost a customer due to their lack of customer service and attitude. I know three people who have had to go to court with Crevier & I personally have had run-ins with Sterling. They tried to charge my $1,000 for a part that was covered under my CPO. When I brought it up, the service manager there scoffed! They eventually came around and worked with me, but I still had to come out of pocket. I brought this up to Eloy & Greg. They informed me that if there EVER is an issue in service - they want to be in the know. Great guys - great service - great dealership! Even finance was cool! =) read more

By far the worse service place i have experienced owning , bmw, mercedes, maserati, porsche , cadillac EVEN CHEVROLET being in California since 1995. Had our new bmw for 2 days and my son hit the rims.....FORTUNATELY I HAD THE TIRE AND RIM WARRANTY......but unfortunately LONG BEACH BMW.....after numerous calls and excuses said it was not covered and to go through my insurance. HELL NO! So I got our purchase dealer involved to review the issue.......STERLING BMW ...BETWEEN Alex in sales and Adam in service.......Was told they were calling the wrong warranty dept...gave the correct info to the service guy Josh at Long Beach and finally tires and rims were corrected after 5 weeks.......GETS BETTER ......now after finally getting the product up and ready to go.....thanks to STERLING BMW assist.... THE SERVICE MANAGER attempted to apologized for the long delay was told there is now further damage...AT this point severely frustrated... I had the car transported to STERLING BMW...to access the damages.... Literally that Monday in 1 day had the answers and to follow an uber ride home with a warm cup of coffee....and the best part, car is ready in two days. I appreciate Long Beaches efforts but if you dont know how to handle your job.....please step aside. BMW is no joke and not cheap but a HELL OF A SPORTS CAR.....ESPECIALLY THE M SERIES.....but you must know how to repair them in not only a proper fashion with customer service but in a timely manner. THANK YOU STERLING BMW for your assitance and now my future repairs of my TWO M BMW's , the competition and the suv ADAM your a saint. And to the Sales dept.....at STERLING BMW all my lovely patients will be seeing you folks for both sales and service moving foward!! Hey all consumers! Guess what? Long Beach BMW is just another front for it's owner, Neil Okun, to set up shop, make a bunch of money for himself, and then file for bankruptcy, leaving all his employees and customers screwed out of thousands of dollars. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE! We purchased a car from his previous dealership in Beverly Hills and in less than a month later the entire dealership was deserted. We had a refund check due to us for $3,000 from the third-party warranty company, and when Mr. Okun recieved it, he decided to CASH IT FOR HIMSELF AND CLOSE UP SHOP! The check was made out to his dealership because he was the intermediary, but the money was ours! We purchased the warranty through him! The warranty company contacted us and told us he had the money, and when we went to collect, he locked the door on us and told us we were "out of luck". I had him investigated by a friend of mine in the LAPD and it turns out he has a history of doing this. Long Beach BMW is the latest of several sham companies he's owned. The worst part about the whole situation is the man is a snively little bitch of a human being who looks like an undeveloped bird and his jaw-dropping moral reprehensibility makes you want to resort to caveman-like violence, yet he has found a weasily loophole in our country's legal system that allows him to keep doing this. I want to compliment Mr. James Saunders and Mr. Roberto Sanchez for their extraordinarily exceptional customer service that was given to me. I had a few issues with my 2012 BMW 328i. Mr. Saunders was very knowledgeable about my car and extended warranty coverage. My passenger restraint malfunction light was on and my service light was on as well. My car's auto/start/stop function was shutting off my radio whenever the car would stop (which is not supposed to happen). Mr. Saunders informed me that my car was covered for oil changes, and that there was a separate battery for the auto/start/stop function. The separate battery wasn't covered but Mr. Saunders made sure that I didn't have to pay for the extra expense. He also made sure that my car was washed a second time because it had rained earlier that day. Finally, he was very caring and made me feel like a VIP customer. For Mr. Sanchez, I have encountered him on several occasions to my visits to the repair center and he always greets me with a warm smile. I think that he's the intake specialist (not sure of his exact title). He really went out of his way to get my car to me after it was washed. While I was sitting waiting for my car to pull up, the driveway was blocked. So he pulled all the way around the repair center and backed up into the stall nearest me so I wouldn't have to walk to my car. That was such a nice gesture and I really appreciated it. I just want to say thanks for the excellent customer service. read more
