I would of expected something a bit more professional rather than trying to chalk it up to confusion and trying to justify you penny pinching policies. I understand that water in a room is usually a premium charge, but @ $4 for that small bottle is very insulting. Your room cost was already $150+ and it's not like the hotel is a premium facility or location. The water was not even flavored! Second, I know you do have free internet in the guest rooms, but do you realize that the speed is extremely slow, probably slower than Dial Up. Not even talking about streaming, web browsing is almost impossible. Using an APP on my iPad to just check some sports scores was almost impossible. In essence, the free internet is really useless. Seems now days, all the hotels we've been in have given a satisfactory internet in the guest rooms...hotels we've paid less than $75 and more than $250. As far as the continental breakfast, we've been in much less hotels that at least include impressive continental breakfasts. I'm not saying you have to have a 5 Star Chef prepare it, but I'm sure you can take some of the profits from your $4/water and spring for some donuts or croissants, Coffee, Milk and OJ between 7am-10am. Last, THERE WAS a sign at one station that said Free Child's Ticket for the Aquarium and if I remember correctly, it was with an adult paid ticket. I should of taken a picture so there would be no question! My only gripe is that when your staff saw that sign, they didn't bother to see what was going on with it. My Friends and I wanted to have a safe and wholesome night so we chose the Marriott and when we came back from having drinks as I was showering I was forced to open the door and not given the opportunity to get dressed first they told me we needed to vacate the property due to complaints of noise when all we were doing was listening to YouTube on the TV screen that they provided us they knew we weren't sober and they still forced us to leave without offering water or time to sober up my girlfriends who are all 21 were force to sleep in our cars. asked for corporate and HR number and they told me they didn't need to provide any information to us and they only give us 10minutes to get all of our stuff together and leave with no warning. read more

So I was just here to see my dad and step mom... it was a pretty clean hotel overall with a spacious entry and two on site restaurants (I will get into one of them in another review). Lots of free parking surround this place and they also have a valet if you want one. From what I can tell they have a lot of larger ballroom events here. My dad and step mom had been down for a HS reunion. There was also some kind of martial arts deal going on here as well with kids from all over the place here. PRO TIP: While in walking distance to Long Beach Airport, they have a shuttle van to take you back and fourth if you would like. The rooms here appear to be nice and spacious. However the bathrooms are miniature (at least in some wings). For example the room that my parents had (yes I was in it) had only a standup shower stall and a toilet in it. There was no tub, let alone the shower stall/toilet area was extremely small. Outside of the door for this area was a miniature countered sink. These things were barely large enough to get the job done. Hence the mark down to 3 stars. There was a maintenance issue with the TV. It had sound but no video. They had an engineer sent up within half an hour and he fixed the TV in about 3 minutes. So that was an important thing. Overall the rooms appeared to be clean had a couple of chairs, convenient airport access, close to the 405 and free parking. read more

We had a wedding at Sky Links Golf Course and the bride and groom booked a block at the Marriott across the street. As a Marriott girl, I of course, was more than happy to have to stay at a Marriott. I have the app, so I did my virtual check in. However, I forgot to do my check in right off the plane, and only did my check in while we were basically around the corner... and it was around noon. We went for lunch before returning to the Marriot, and we still had a good couple of hours before the 4PM check in. But we were super tired after our early bird flight, so we decided to see if we could check into our room anyway. We were able to check into our room! Yay! It was so nice to be able to get to our room, and take a nap! The lobby was updated and very modern. Our room was clean, but the bathroom a little dated. I did like the charging strip on the side of the desk. I'm all for the toilet being in a separate room than the shower, but if that's the case, I prefer to have the shower and the toilet separate too, just a personal preference. The bed was a standard, comfortable Marriott bed. I get that this particular Marriott is right next to the [long beach] airport, but I felt like they were purposely trying to charge their guests for every little thing. $4 bottle of water in the rooms? And a tiny 6? ounce bottle at that. I get that California is having a drought, but instead of charging $4 for a bottle of water, maybe turn off the entrance fountains and the waterfall. $15 a day for wifi in the room? No thanks, I'll go down to the lobby and hang out with all the businessmen (and women!) on their lap tops. They do have a starbucks in the lobby though, which is nice. I'll drink starbucks before I drink in-room hotel coffee... which they probably charge for too. They do have two pools. The outdoor one, which looked nice, but as it was 60 degrees most of the time we were in Long Beach, it was just too cold to go in the outdoor pool. They also have fire pits surrounding the pool, and had we had time, I'm sure we would have utilized them. The indoor pool, was also nice, it was supposedly heat but still way too cold. But it is super awesome that the indoor pool (and the gym) is open 24/7. While the girls at the front desk were nice, except for my check in, they seemed kind of clueless. Due to the time change, on my boyfriend's calendar on his phone, the wedding changed from 4 PM to 1PM. I was certain that it was 4, but when I tried to asked the front desk, they said they didn't know and I would have to ask the doormen. You are hosting a wedding party, and wedding guests, and a rehearsal dinner, for a wedding across the street. Literally, across the street, and the doorman knows but you, at the front desk do not? Usually even if they don't know the times, the front desk will OFFER to make that type of phone call for their guests, but it appears the front desk was unable to. As the doorman was busy driving some people across the street (so doing his job, but wasn't at his desk), and I just called the golf course myself to confirm the time. The other faux pas, we confirmed with the doorman/driver of our shuttle, that all we had to do was call the front desk, and they were direct the shuttle to come pick us up at the golf course. After the wedding was over, my boyfriend called the front desk, and said "we're at the sky links golf course across the street, if you could send the shuttle over when you get a chance, thanks." After waiting 45 minutes for the shuttle, at which point it's only the bride and groom and their parents left, my boyfriend called the front desk again to find out where the shuttle was, as she had said it would only be 5 minutes. Turns out the front desk had sent the driver to a wrong a location 20 minutes away. We had our room booked for three nights, our first morning housekeeping knocked on our door at 8AM to ask if they could clean the room. We were up as we hadn't adjusted yet, but still, 8 AM? She was nice enough to come back around 10, when we were out for the day. While the hotel location was central to our needs for this trip, and not sure I would stay at this one again. read more

They've an indoor exercise pool AND outdoor pool, three restaurants, free wifi, snacks and breakfast for platinum members. It is conveniently located next to both the 405 and 710. My parents have been staying here for the last 2weeks while their master bedroom is being remodeled. My mom just got out of the hospital and we requested a room away from as much noise as possible, they did that and more. The only downside is their brunch is extremely subpar. read more

I was invited to a lunch event in the honor of the US ambassador from Pakistan. Well the parking is plenty and easy here. As we entered the hotel a person guided us to the event. Promptly we were showed to our seats. The Ambassador Sherry Rehman has been a journalist for twenty years and then was elected to national assembly and later promoted to a ambassador. She gave a speech on how to allow religious tolerance in Pakistan for the minorities and to remove the blasphemy laws. Of course she had seen plenty of opposition. She was given awards by various organizations including city of LA and the Lawyers of LA. In between was squeezed a great buffet lunch. In the end the ambassador explained that they need to have better teachers so the large population can be educated about religious tolerance. read more

We stayed two nights in this hotel. We booked online at the Marriott website, with taxes and everything, it came out to $217 per night We arrived after midnight and checked in. There was a paper sign on the counter saying the pool would be closed the next day midday for an event. No further details. We were given room 315, which appears to have been a remodel attempt. The floor was laminate. The room looks out onto the outdoor pool area. The bed skirt had a very large sinister stain, and should be in the trash, not the bed I'm paying to sleep in. The next night, we got back from the day's activities after 9pm. We got into our room, greeted by very loud music and drums beating outside in the pool area. Clearly, no sleeping to be had by anyone, least of all the small children in tow. I called the front desk at 9:45pm, asking when the event would be over. I was told it was scheduled to end at 11:00pm. I then explained that the music was too loud, especially with small children, and asked if there was another room available. The front desk stated no other rooms were available and that they had already asked the band to lower the volume. I then asked if were informed upon check in there would be a dance party right under our window with a live band, which included a drummer who demonstrated his exuberant solo skills often. The answer was, "I don't know... oh, there may have been a sign at the desk." There was a comment about the sales department booking his event in advance. Since I was told there was no possibility of moving, and obviously moving to another hotel completely at 10:00pm with kids was impossible, I grudgingly said, "Ok, thank you" and hung up. I relayed the information to my husband, who then went down to the front desk to inquire further. A few minutes later, he comes up to tell us that they had another room on the 8th floor, facing the other direction. First, why does it take a man walking downstairs for management to find another room? Secondly, coming from out of town and having booked this hotel online, we would have never chosen this hotel had we known of this kind of event ahead of time. I have attended many events at hotels and they are usually in the banquet rooms, and the patrons of the hotel never hear any of the music, etc. To have a live band and dj-ing right outside the windows of unknowing guests is very poor service. Every effort should have been made to put other guests not specifically attending the event on the other side of the hotel. I do understand this could be difficult to accomplish, but no communication was exchanged with us about the situation. The ball was dropped by management and Marriott, both by not communicating to their customers booking online that the event was taking place, and by not offering a solution when I called explaining I had young children that needed to sleep. I would have expected a solution even if I had not children with me. Instead, it took a man going to down to fix something for us. Unacceptable treatment. I do not recommend this hotel. read more

I love a good Marriott! I enjoyed this one. The staff was cool (except for one lady who seemed to have an attitude). We are arrived earlier than check-in. Rather than make us wait in the lobby, they found adjoining rooms for my friend and I! It was great. I liked the flat screens, always love Marriott beds and the housekeeping was very quick. Parking ample and free. Airport shuttle nice. All in all it was a great experience. Not the biggest fan of the food, but I don't think I've ever had a really good meal at a hotel during a conference. The one thing I did not like was the lack of a full length mirror in the room. WTF? I totally need a full length mirror. Anyways, I'd go back. Good place for a conference. read more

Pros: Hotel staff is very polite and helpful. Close to airport. Nice fitness area (no extra charge). Cons: Outside pool area and waterfall smelled like sewage. No jacuzzi/hot tub Every time a nearby room flushes a toilet you can hear it. Not close to convention center. We were in town for a conference at the convention center. The organization putting on the conference recommended this hotel as conveniently located to the convention center. It is not! No fault of the hotel for the bad information. If you are visiting for a similar reason be advised you'll need to take a car to the convention center. We took a cab the first time and he seemed to take advantage of us not knowing the area. Long, round about way to get there which cost $35. We started using Uber after that and the ride was only $13. The hotel itself is decent and has a cafe and a Mexican food place. Convenient but can't comment on the food as I didn't eat at either. The pool area could be nice if the surrounding waterfall feature didn't smell like sewage. Gross! A staff member told us that the hotel used to have a jacuzzi but got rid of it to add the indoor pool. Lame trade off in my book. The fitness area was clean, had newer cardio machines, weight machines, free weights assorted apples and oranges for post work out. Only issue was that treadmills were all wobbly when you used them. The pricing seemed a bit ridiculous and over the top too. A $90 difference between Saturday night and Sunday night, with Saturday being the cheapest day. When I inquired about this I was told since this is a business hotel the rates are cheaper on the weekends. Good to know. If you're here for something at the convention center do yourself a favor and stay at a hotel near there. There is a lot more to do around those hotels and they are close to the pier and beach. Sadly this was even more expensive than some hotels that would have been much more convenient for us. read more

Terrible. So, we check into this hotel. We are immediately turned off by the service. No one offers to help us with our bags. We literally had to find someone to help us and then wait 10 minutes for them to come. Once we got into our room wifi wasn't working. No one ever helped us to try and fix it. Room service "forgot" to bring us towels and no one cleaned the room while we were out like we asked. Also, since when do we not receive a free continental breakfast? I travel a ton for work and I am very disappointed in the service I received. For over $165 a night I definitely expected much more from the Marriott. First let me say this, I am from NY so when the Marriott is even mentioned individuals know you get top notch service. In my state the Marriott is one of the best kept hotels, because of this myself and my family always opt to stay there. We have stayed in the Marriott from the state of New Jersey to California but this was the worse experience ever. First our reservation was messed up my brother in law reserved a room at another Marriott but the phone rep booked us here ok. Problem with this is that we had booked the penthouse suit, for a bridal party of 7. We were all supposed to be together her makeup artist, and bridal party. This was so that when the photographer arrived we could get pictures of us getting ready. Anyway that got all screwed up thanks to the very unprofessional phone rep. My brother in-law was transferred to the manager who clearly did not care. Her tone was like ok well what do you want me to do? (and they say New Yorkers are rude) so we had no choice but to stay at this Marriott on airport drive. Anyway after all of this and their screwups they than wanted to charge us 20 per person for breakfast, my brother in law was furious. Its enough his bride to be had to change all plans because of their incompetent phone operators. But this also messed up the plan with the photographer. But they did give us vouchers, I will give them that. Upon entering the room we noticed the AC barely worked the room was cold on one side and warm on the other. The carpet was stained it looked gross. And the room smelled stale. The pool side area was beautiful from a far but as you walked around there was dirt in the water. The attendant at Starbucks was very nice and professional. The front desk night crew were professional but that's about it. We asked for our room to be cleaned on Saturday, all they did was vacuum, they did not empty the garbage or change the towels. Friday was the day of the wedding so let's rewind to that day. The makeup artist had no room to work she was in room 424 with her family we were in room 425. (My brother in law booked both rooms) so she asked the front desk manager ( I'm sorry I don't remember her name but she was one of the other night crew because it was at 4:30 am). If there was a place she could do makeup. Our makeup artist was no rinky dink woman she is a celebrity artist. The manager escorted us to where we could do the makeup and saw the setup. Everything was fine until about 8 am. FYI the bridal party was 7 girls plus the mother of the bride. The wedding started at 2 pm. Plus again because of the screwup when we booked we were pressed for time to run to someone's home to get dressed so my sister could get some pictures of her preparing. Ok so back to the incident. We're getting our makeup done and this very rude employee (manager) comes in and basically was the nastiest person ever. We told her we had got permission, She told us we had to leave. We tried to explain to her what happened she didn't give two flying fist that it was my sister's special day. All she cared about was money and wanted to charge us for a day room. Which was basically another bedroom. So we had to pack up go into our cramped room with 8 women that took about 45 mins. Because of this my sister was late for her photographer and only got about 3 pictures of her getting dressed because we had to rush thanks to this manager she lost precious memories. All of this could of been avoided if one the Marriott got our reservation correct and two the customer service at this hotel was alot better but it sucked. To put the icing on the cake checkout was at 12 but at 11:30 on Sunday they sent the bellhop with the cart to get us out? Really!!!! Then I tell the bell hop can you give us 5 mins please and he sucked his teeth and was like well I'm going to leave this here just hurry up. Yea so if your ever in the long Beach area do not waste your hard earn money on this hotel. This place does not uphold the Marriott name or reputation. My girlfriend and I have experienced the great brunch here three times: twice for Thanksgiving and another Sunday after church. This past Thanksgiving, there were a total of three (3) in my party. There was never any notice but I was charged an additional $31.00 for a large party surcharge; again, there was THREE of us only. This is very unfair and considered unethical. I called a friend I had recommended this restaurant and had reservations the same day for nine people and he called and cancelled and explaining why; the experience is ruined by an unethical business practice and I will not visit another Marriot for any reason. This review is mostly for the airport parking which is run through a company called Global Airport Parking, but the service is given at the Long Beach Marriott and through its employees. Airport parking in Long Beach is not as crazy easy as it is near LAX, lacking the shit-tons of options at your disposal and many different price points. Really, the only options you have are to park at the airport ($17 a day) or park at the Marriott or the Holiday Inn ($14 a day plus fees). I was quite mad since last time I parked at LAX there was some deal and it ended up being about $10 a day. Oh well. The service itself is really great and unless you give yourself no time to get to the airport and through security, it's not a hassle at all. The shuttle ride takes about 5 minutes. When you check in you go to the front desk and speak with a Marriott employee and they give you a parking pass. You park in the back of the hotel in the reserved Global Airport Parking spots-- not many of them, but they're there! Weird thought-- since the hotel itself offers free parking, what's to stop someone from just parking in the hotel parking and hopping on the airport shuttle? I wonder if they actually surveillance the lot...HMMMM.... Anywho, upon return they give you a card to call and they pick you up! Very simple, very fast, easy. Just wish it wasn't over $50 to park my car for the weekend. Also-- I was worried about having to tip the drivers because I had no cash on me. But the drivers really did not deserve a tip so I lucked out. Yes, they placed my tiny suitcase in the trunk, but NO niceties beyond that. No small talk. No "Have a good trip!" Neither of my drivers ever spoke a word to me! Paying in access of $50 for parking for the weekend AND tipping a sub-par driver? That would suck. The hotel employees (non-drivers) though were all sweet and helpful. And the pool area looks great! I wouldn't mind staying here based on those experiences. read more

The breakfast buffet was good lots of things to choose from fruit, pastries...it was good. The hotel room was not huge but tastefully decorated. Me and my family about 15 of us went to this Marriott for the Christmas buffet. It's $45 for adults and $19 for children under 12 years old. They had our reservation at the wrong restaurant, and gave us the run around. Although we were all on time it took 40 minutes for them to discover their mistake and set us up in the restaurant. We made reservations by the piano instead they stuck us in a room that was not set up the service was horrible and the food was mediocre at best. They did not compensate in any way for the embarrassment my family experienced and the food was not fresh and the place they sat us was apprehensible. I would never go back there and I would definitely recommend anyone avoiding this location if you want dinner ....it's over priced, the service is terrible and the food is not worth your money - I would have preferred Taco Bell over this experience! read more

We took an overnight mini-vacation at this Marriott. Overall, a very nice hotel. No problems with check in or check out, and the staff was uniformly helpful. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool; we spent the afternoon by the outdoor one. The hotel's lobby Starbucks serves the pool area, and we were thinking of getting some coffees when we discovered it's a Starbucks with a full bar! So, we risked ordering a Mai Tai and a Margarita. Really, what were we thinking: a cocktail-selling Starbucks in a hotel lobby serving an outdoor pool? But our risk was rewarded: we were delighted to see the bartender (excuse me, Barista-tender) make the drinks old-school style: from scratch, no mixes. Most tasty! The outdoor pool is a mini-tropical paradise, with swaying palms and abundant waterfalls (and to our incredible good fortune, well-behaved kids). The sun started setting as we swam and sipped, so we did the only logical thing: we tested the bar-ista's Martinis and Manhattans! At $8.25, the drinks are pricey but the portions were (ahem) robust and effective. Thoroughly relaxed, we went upstairs and changed for dinner, having decided to try out Mr. R's Grille. Short version: the food was excellent but the service sucked. Errors were made, the service was tediously slow (especially considering it was a Saturday night and only four tables were in use...), and the presentation of the wine was so absurd it actually made me laugh (I really, really tried not to, and I think I did a decent job of masking what I was actually laughing at). The servers seemed to be (mostly) trying, but didn't have the right training. They didn't seem to understand what was expected at a place where you can pretty easily run up a $125 tab for dinner for two. Our hotel room was comfortable and quiet, even though it was right next to the airport. They wanted $13 for Internet access, though IMnsHO it should have been included in the room rate. The newer model a wide/flat screen LG TV was mis-configured so the picture was extra wide, and there was no obvious way to bring up the TV menu to fix it. Instead, there was a TV menu offering lots and lots of pay-per-view options (and some free choices too). There was no DVD player in the room, so we ended up watching a movie on our laptop. They did have an iPod docking station so we were able to listen to the music of our choice. Check out time was a vacation-friendly noon. Before leaving the hotel we tried their Sunday champagne brunch, a sumptuous Asian-inspired feast (predominantly Japanese/Chinese). Also featured were an omelet station, a Belgian waffle station, and a smoothie station, plus the usual breakfast and dessert items. In stark contrast to Mr. R's Grille, the service was excellent. Apparently, the theme of the brunch varies. Joy G. referred in her review to a Mediterranean theme, and our host mentioned that they sometimes have a carving station for the carnivorous. Despite having slept well at the hotel, and probably due in no small part to the gargantuan brunch, we both needed naps upon our return home. Hmmm... This place was so nice when looking at it when you walk in. The chandelier is nice, the chairs are very nice, lots of natural light from the windows, just overall looks like an amazing area and the pool area is one of the best I've seen. Honestly, that's the only reason I even put stars for this hotel. When we got to the room, it was clean, and I didn't see any bugs. But the reason why I don't like this place is because the AC didn't work in our room, and after 4 people coming in to look at it, it was still broken. So we left the AC on while we went to a party. When we returned at 12 am (after SIX HOURS of being gone) the room was still just as warm as we left it. That means in THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, we had to move to a different room, and we still paid full price after ALLLLLL the inconvenient events we experienced. The manager even seemed irritated to be dealing with us :( we're just trying to be comfortable :( however, the security guards was nice in helping us move so late in the evening. And all the maintenance staff was nice I guess. They just came in did their job and left. TL;DR: People are nice. Lobby is nice. Pool is nice. Room is not. read more

AH-MAZING experience here at the Long Beach Marriott, literally blew my mind as to my entire trip. I believe the foundation of a good getaway begins with your stay, and that's exactly how it started and ended. The LBM offers free shuttle service from LGB to and from the hotel, which is sweet. It runs early in the AMs from about 6am-1030pm. The shuttle runs from the hotel every 20 mins on the hour so four trips per hour. They are quick, professional and very informative and reliable. If you're coming from LGB, you can call the hotel front desk and they'll send a shuttle your way ASAP, just wait on the center island. There was a huge parking lot at the hotel since it doubles as a parking lot for those at the airport so it can be really full at some times. In case you're worried, there's also a parking lot behind the hotel that also has access directly to the hotel. FREE PARKING, oh yeeeeh. The lobby is currently being renovated, but it's not that bad. It's just this center piece that is hanging around, doesn't really get in the way. The lobby is clean and has lots of room for sitting and chilling, including an in hotel Starbucks and a nice tv. It's a good lounge area to chill. It also has a breakfast/lunch/dinner across the hall with a gorgeous outdoor and indoor seating that overlooks the hotel pool. It has a fire side, lots of chairs and the pool is clean and there's also a miniature waterfall right there. Indoor pool as well in case it gets chilly and a pretty stock with WORKING machines for those who doesn't want to skip a work out. The staff are the front desk were extremely helpful and knew the answers to all my questions. My online reservations were met and I got the room that I had requested. I was initially worried since being next to the airport it would be loud and a disturbance- but never even heard a place. They have a really sweet curfew here in LG. Our room was on the 7th floor- which will require you to stick your key card in before allowing you to press the 7 button (it's because the concierge lounge is also on that floor). I figured out the trick to getting the button to work, stick it in once really quick, take it out and jam it in again. The second time you'll be able to press the button. The room itself was spacious and clean. I checked all the corner and the bathroom, loaded with towels and toiletries and the shower head worked like magic- absolutely no problem and has amazing lighting for selfies! Lots of pillows and huge bed, nice view of LGB outside the hotel and the TV wasn't ancient and the room had a safe! I slept like a baby, which is rare since hotels aren't my thing but the experience really did tie together as a whole. The trip itself was amazing, but the hotel sweetened the deal and made sure I had good rest, access to the airport and I wasn't annoyed by the next door noise or any problems checking in or out of the place. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who is staying in LB. I was going to stay in downtown, but I'm glad I chose the airport one instead. Plus, it's way easier to get around town and right off the freeway. read more

I was supposed to be at the Hyatt with a harbor view room, from which I intended to view the New Years fireworks display off the Queen Mary, but because the Hyatt decided to overbook the hotel and send me over here... Rather nice here at the Marriott. Easy parking, beautiful lobby, pool an' gym. The room was as expected and beds soft n' cozy. The concierge lounge was packed this AM so the host offered us meals in their coffee shop buffet. Nice compensation and 1st rate service from their staff earns a rare 5 stars ! read more

We had a great stay at this hotel. Although they are going through some serious renovations in their lobby area, it wasn't much of an inconvenience to us. The only annoyance was having to wait so long for their makeshift "restaurant" for breakfast. And then we paid $15.95 per adult and $5.95 per child for the buffet. Seemed reasonable until we actually saw the offerings. I probably would have preferred eating at an IHOP for cheaper. But this was the only "downer" of our stay here. Everything else was great. Free parking in their spacious lot was much appreciated. Front desk staff were wonderful, and even offered my husband additional points credited to his Elite Membership for the inconvenience of the renovations going on. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable. Bathroom area was quite spacious. Requests from housekeeping were answered very quickly. We also were happy to see that there was free wi-fi, but I'm not sure if that was just offered to Elite Members... We had some gloomy weather while we were here, so our family much appreciated the indoor pool. So convenient and the kids loved it! The fitness facility is quite large and bathrooms throughout the hotel property were beautiful and modern. This isn't marketed as a luxury hotel, but its level of comfort was quite good! I can't recommend this hotel enough and wouldn't hesitate sending my family and friends here. read more

Terrible experience why would you charge 1,000 dollars for WiFi for a conference room? Absolutely unacceptable that we had a technology conference there and no one could use their own mi-fi or phones to hotspot because the conference room had absolutely no service. Therefore we were forced to either pay $50 per person (at a conference of 70 people would have been logistically a nightmare to organize) or $1000 for the entire room. Also we had arranged for 10 tables and yet only 8 tables were given to us. Unacceptable never hosting a conference there again not to mention the food was not good. read more

Full disclosure, we stay at this hotel several times a year. Having said that, the fact that it is like coming home is what makes our stays here so enjoyable. Everyone from the fellows at the front door, to the front desk team, to the concierge lounge all-stars, to the restaurant staff to event catering treat us like family and provide outstanding customer service. The amenities in the hotel are very good, the pool area is like a trip to Eden in the middle of the city and the bed provides exceptional comfort. Wonderful Setting and Clean Bedding!! We come here often for Cheer competition and our kids love that they have two pools, one heated indoors and one outdoors. The morning Starbucks inside is a plus and so is the Pizza Hut delivery inside the hotel. They offer Government discount as well which is a huge plus for us. Parking is free but WIFI is not free which is a bummer because we have a rewards membership and you would think they would give members free wifi. The staff is ok... Can be better! read more

This hotel was not bad , however it was a 15.00 Uber ride every time we went to the convention center or down town Long Beach . The only negatives I had was the tv would cut out and there was no spa or valet parking . All the staff was really nice and the hotel room was clean . read more

I was attending a songwriting and performance workshop and was booked into this hotel by the the program coordinators. I arrived early even though the check-in time was not until 3pm. Still, my room was not ready until 5pm. WTF?!!! Marriott WTF!!! I found it unacceptable considering they kept telling me it would be ready in 15, then 30 and finally 2 hours passed without them telling me a damn thing!! It wasn't until I let Queen Bitch out that they decided to rush and get me to my room. For my troubles what did I receive? Free copies of my lead sheets. The room was small, but decorated nicely. Wi-fi in the lobby and sporadically in my room. I ordered room service twice and the quesadilla was the only edible item. At least they had a gift shop where I had the opportunity to purchase snacks and the lobby bar that served decent coffee. I had a better experience at the SpringHill Suites in Temecula. read more

Nasty. NASTY. NASTY. Just checked in today and it's boogers on the bed set, the carpet is DISGUSTING AND BLACK. The wall is peeling and has mold behind it, and the chair in the room has a big stain on it. I'm not much of a complainer, but this is by far the FILTHIEST AND NASTIEST HOTEL IVE EVER STAY at. I stayed three nights at the Marriott in Long Beach. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed their comforters. Just the right amount of weight, but breath-ability. The hotel cleanliness was top notch. I was impressed with the level of detailed cleaning done on my room each day. The coffee keurig in the room is always a plus and the coffee was good. I felt the over all hotel was nice and quiet. The pool area is beautiful and the lobby and entrance are very classy and beautiful as well. Although I didn't order room service the menu looks like it had a nice variety of items and the gym was more extensive than the majority of hotels I have been to. The rooms and bathrooms were large, modern, and most important to me comfortable. Only a 10-15 minute communicate to down town. I had a very enjoyable stay here and would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay. read more

Very nice hotel - has indoor and outdoor pool and the best fitness room at a hotel I've been to! Staff is friendly - restaurant is decent - no fee for parking and its located close to the Long Beach airport. No complaints about the concierge lounge: the food was tasty, access to wifi-computer-printer, and comfortable seating (although not enough seating to accommodate the volume of people enjoying the space). The rooms were standard, and in my experience, in the adequate range. It's obvious there isn't much insulation in the walls because noises from attached units could be heard (e.g. Water running, toilets flushing, voices, footsteps). The temperature control mechanism is sorely outdated, and while adjustable, does not allow for a specific temperature to be identified or maintained. HVAC is loud and likely due to the age and design of the unit. I appreciate the *free* self-park, friendly and knowledgeable staff, hotel amenities, and Starbucks within the lobby. The location is good...and it is a Marriott property which ensures a consistent standard of comfort. read more

I held an event here at this place and the customer service here was phenomenal. During the beginning of my event I was introduced by maybe 4-5 hotel management workers asking if I needed any help to just let them know. I was also introduced by custodial as well. Every worker there was very polite, talkative, and warming. I also ate at the food place/buffet they had near the lobby area and the food was fantastic. The servers were nice and fast serviced. I also ordered Starbucks near the bar and those workers were great as well. Overall I had a great experience. Also the event hall I held my class at was beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel. I was attending a convention at the hotel & stayed for 2 nights. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Parking is free and easy to find in the huge lot out front. The hotel has been renovated fairly recently (I would guess) and the lobby is quite nice. Although I didn't get to enjoy it, the pool area is nicely decorated. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The view is nothing to write home about but the beds are comfy and the bathroom has marble counter tops and new fixtures. The rooms don't have WiFi but you can get wireless connection in the lobby area. The walls are thin. Our room had an adjoining door to the room next door and we could hear every word out of the neighbors' mouth. Overall, a nice place to stay. Very convenient to Long Beach airport. read more

We come here every week for our company's event. This is a beautiful hotel. The staff is always both pleasant and accommodating. It seems due to it being close to the Airport quite a few business men and women frequent this establishment. The lobby is beautiful with views to the pool and the awesome bar/lounges area.
