I loved the shuttle to and from Pike's Parking Garage. The shuttle stops right in front of both locations. Please purchase your tickets ahead of time... I bought the Haunted Tour. It was suppose to be an hour out but in reality it was more like 45 minutes. We started 5 minutes late waiting for some late arrivals and we finished about 10 minutes early in front of Jackie's. The tour was OK... visited only one part of the ship that is not available to the general public. Tour did well in telling the history of the ship. Sorry did not experience anything really strange except when we were at the 1st Class pool we heard some knocking coming from the bow of the ship. Ship is well maintained and it felt historic...good experience.

Four top enjoyment. Halloween of 2025 we all came to visit the Queen Mary. After we finally got in, it was peachy. Locals, I believe are employed as cast and crew so the emphasis and debts towards enjoyment are matched. Just a lot of laughter and face paint. Come down and enjoy this deck, out adventure

We stayed on night on the Queen Mary in an interior room. The room was spacious and clean. We took the 5:30 haunted encounter tour and enjoyed the stories our tour guide told us. Overall a fun experience.

We always come here for events such as Bingo Loco, Day Trip, Dream State and more. There are a lot of parking with walking distance. The ship is very clean and well display. The food and drinks are ok for convenience. The staff are very nice and friendly. Highly recommend the ship tour if you stay here :)

Stayed here decades ago when the plane was still here before it moved to the east coast. You got to remembered that the ship is historical so it's old and not modern as you would like. They do try to keep it up and they're doing a well job. Went back to an event here and a friend's also staying here so got to revisit the ship and the old & new good memories. Like I said, well kept, clean, spacious and well reserved as it should be. Plenty of parking w/ pay of course. Nice and friendly staff from the ground to the ship and throughout the event. Love the Art deco decor and the historic momentous that displaces throughout the ship. Really enjoyed the visit here.

This ship is old. Worn on the outside but it is well maintained inside. Nice that they have kept some of the original furniture too Tours are available and are pleasant and most informative. A definite must to do The restaurant and bar are beautiful A great view and wonderful blast to the past. Nice that they have movies here too Hotel stay would be interesting We came for an event and enjoyed a tour of the ship Parking is $25 so be warned Does get breezy on the deck

Honest opinion. The twin beds room was old, dark, and dusty. It turned out to be a bit below average hotel. If you like old fashioned vintage style hotels, The Queen Mary hotel may be worth checking out. Thin walls and dim lights. For a discounted price around $143-$144 a night, you can hear everyone talking next door/down the hall or snoring at night. Yes, you will get interrupted as a light sleeper during your sleep time. Expect ship horns blowing around 10am/3pm/6pm. Carnival cruise ships are nearby as well. Water dripping sounds outside the windows and sometimes the bathroom toilet. Other than that, the stay included clean sheets/puffy pillows, lots of drawers for storage items, good closet space with mirrors behind the closet doors, etc. Employees and front desk staffs are helpful, but it's a different type feeling/not your most polished service. Room gets cold at times. $39 per night guest parking in the lot was a bit pricey. Foods at restaurants aren't cheap, but there's a good selection to choose from. As a hotel guest, you can wander around as desired. There's an old gym with checkered floorings onboard too. For Queen Mary experiences, it's actually much better and the tour guides are well trained. There's plenty to see and you can check out local onsite events. Tea time is available on Sundays. Exciting and adventurous if it's your first visit. Engine room, museum, explore the shops, various decks, bar/restaurants. We've been here 3 times, but this was our very first hotel stay. The Queen Mary is historic and a well known landmark in Long Beach, California. It's a great place to take photos and create memories. Note, there are plenty of stairways, hallways, etc., enough to give you a good walking experience to get to all the unique places. It's a decent place to check out, but for overnight stays, I would be a bit hesitant about revisiting.

First timer and the vibes you get being on this boat brings you back in time. Highly suggest coming! The photo opportunities you can get here are amazing! The history they share in this ship is amazing! The staff great! The bar was great! Highly suggest coming!

The guided tour felt somewhat pointless since you can actually walk around most of the ship on your own. I didn't stay in a room--just toured the boat--but it's definitely a unique experience. That said, I'm not sure I'd want to stay overnight here.

Brought the kids as my daughter had recently mentioned that she wanted to go - she's getting into film photography and wanted to try some shots in and around the area. The tour was fun, and it had been so long since I had been here myself that I (re)learned a bunch of new info on the ship and its history! ;) We'll see how the photos come out, but the fam had a great time, and we'll likely be back for the ghost tours before too long. :)

Beautiful ship with so much rich history. I love visiting historical places, and I always appreciate it when they're not just treated as museums but are still functional. We went for Sunday brunch and also joined the steam engine tour. I didn't realize that once you're done with brunch, you can roam around the ship freely--I thought you needed separate tickets, so I also booked the tour. We did enjoy it though; it was very informative. The theater was really nice too. I can imagine what it must have been like back in the day when people actually sailed on the Queen Mary minus the ship rocking back and forth up to 45 degrees, haha. I was really surprised that it's dog-friendly, both as a hotel and a museum, even in the buffet area. I would have thought they'd worry about accidents that could damage the ship or be difficult to clean. I don't believe in ghosts, but it's fun that they offer a ghost tour if you're into that kind of thing. I also enjoyed the spooky store downstairs, and you can see the most haunted room through a window. I wish we could have seen the pool. Well technically you can view it through a window, but since I'm short, it was hard to get a good look. Overall, the Queen Mary was a fun experience. If you're into historical places or haunted attractions, it's definitely worth checking out.

Brunch on a Wednesday in the Promenade restaurant. 1. Food: superb / top notch 2. Ambience: very good 3. Cleanliness: excellent 4. Service: pretty slow (fortunately, we were in no rush) 5. Staff: most seem noticeably disgruntled / unmotivated / unhappy 6. Ship walkabout: wonderful / a fascinating time capsule 7. Fantastic artwork / historical photographs on display throughout. 8. Huge ballroom / event rooms / very quaint wedding chapel. 9. Period costumes, decor, memorabilia. 10. Step back in time on a 100-year old grand luxury ocean liner. Tips: 1. Make an advance reservation for restaurants - we saw walk-ins wait almost an hour. 2. Allow at least 2 hours (minimum) to explore the ship after your meal. 3. Lots of stairs between decks / huge ship / lots of walking. 4. Make sure your phone is fully charged - hundreds of photo opps. Summary: We came on a fairly quiet weekday, but still restaurant reservations are highly recommended. The food was top-notch. Will return to eat - a real treat. Dropped a star only because many of the staff seemed somewhat unfriendly, unmotivated, disgruntled. Otherwise, the ship is stunningly beautiful and the experience quite profound.

The Queen Mary not only serves as a cool piece of history located right here in Long Beach, but also a real cool location for some of Southern California's best music festivals. I like that the ship is being used in such a cool way, for the festivals (Day Trip, Dreamstate, and Apocalypse) you can even get a hotel room on the ship. The whole ship is booked out only to festival attendees. I know you can also book rooms throughout the year and the ship also offers different tours, including a haunted ghost tour since the ship is supposedly haunted!!! I definitely want to do a tour in the future and also check out their Dark Harbour Halloween event.

Is the bar open now, the observation bar?

The Observation Bar was open on 05/25/2023... I think that was the first week. My drink definitely had vodka!

Are there any jump scares on the haunted tour?

The Paranormal Walking Tour did not have any "jump scares" (I wish!). My tour in May didn't have any paranormal activity either but it was great tour of the ship and lasted the full 2 hours.

    Is queen Mary open?

Yes the Queen Mary is now open for tours, dining and overnight stays. Beautiful and such a rich history, plus part of your stay helps to preserve the ship. It's a win win! 🚢🩵

Is it open to tourist as of right now?

Are there tours going on as of nov 2020? thank you.

    Have you reopened? I?

Planning to take pictures standing outside of the Queen Mary and not go inside. Is there a fee to enter the parking lot?

No fee, you can also go inside and your the ship without a fee on non-event days.

    Is it really haunted?

Extremely. Stayed here three times and something always happened. Also brought tools that spirits can speak through and always got voices back. It's no bs. Walk the ship and feel the energy. Download ghost hunting apps even and they will show proof.

We will be staying in 2 rooms, both with 2 queen beds. We are hoping they are on the starboard (right) side of the boat facing water. Are most of the rooms on the water side? It would be a bummer to pay so much money and get to look out at pavement.

Call them directly and request in advance! It's the best way to do it. Ask for higher deck too!…

What rooms in the queen Mary are haunted I'm trying to stay there with my friends to have fun?

The most haunted room is B340 but it is extremely expensive, any room on floor B is pretty haunted though!

Can you explore parts of the ship at night?

    Yes!

Are towels provide in the rooms? What about Refrigerators? Kinda scared now after reading the reviews but it's too late to cancel. Scared of the reviews nothing having to do…

    Yes

Do they offer early check in?

Sir, we visited this past October...regular check-in was deplorable...God Speed on "early check-in" and be prepared to see her in such an unforgivable condition. We were…

Can I take on my own coffee pot? Where are the smoking areas? How much is parking each day?…

there are outlets so yes you can but there is a restaurant and a Starbucks on board as well. I am not sure about smoking areas. Its easy to leave the ship but there isn't a lot in that area to walk to. Long Beach is fun but you need to drive over…

Is there air conditioning in the rooms?

No - at least not in the room I stayed in. They have two "vents" that you can adjust the flow and direction. It doesn't really get that hot in Long Beach so A/C is not really needed.

Has anyone had any paranormal experiences here? I love exploring these kinds of things and I'm obsessed with learning about the queen Mary

Yes, pictures I took during the Paranormal Ship Walk (Do That!) turned out not only to have some mist/orbs in them (not using a flash) but in the isolation room, two of the orbs have faces, one is very clear & detailed. I also got a bunch of orbs…

We are staying at the Queen Mary hotel in. Las Angeles. Could you please advise how much the tax is to stay there and any other payments you have to pay on arrival thanks?

LB City tourism assessment $4.77, CA tourism assessment $0.31, Occupancy tax $19.08, Facilities fee $16.95. My room was $159 per night and these fees were daily. Upon check in they require a credit card and they put a hold on it for $100, which they…

My wife and I discovered The Modern during a special event right before I proposed, and we knew that if we ever got married, this would be the place. Following our engagement, we had a tour of the place with Mary, and we were 1000% convinced with the place since Mary came with the package lol. The communication throughout the course of our planning was outstanding, and both Abel and Mary addressed all our inquiries and concerns without hesitation and with clear answers. While the conditions of the contract initially seemed rigid, all guidelines and expectations were stated clearly, and both Abel and Mary provided all the support necessary to ensure the vendors understood and executed per the contract accordingly. All terms of the pricing were transparent, and we found the costs to be worth every penny, as we were 1000% satisfied with the venue. Through the course of our two-year planning, Abel and Mary were available and offered the walkthroughs necessary for the vendors and us to plan accordingly and execute an impeccably perfect wedding. Mary did an outstanding job and exerted so much patience with both my Wife and I through the course of food and drink tasting. She assessed our preferences and perfected our specialty cocktails and food menu to reflect my wife, our guests, and I. The VIEWS are one of a kind as the venue has an entire wall space made up of windows that overlooks Long Beach Airport and an outdoor terrace that allowed us and our guests to enjoy the views. We literally had airplanes flying up and down during our entire wedding, with a grand exit of us flying off in a helicopter. My wife, our guests, and I cannot believe how perfect the entire day turned out. They will not stop raving about how perfect and beautiful everything turned out. From the food to the drinks and the wonderful bartenders, and of course to how magically, beautiful our wedding was. None of which would have been possible without the fantastic venue, Abel, Mary and their team.
