What was amazing? The following team associates made the stay wonderful: Marilyn (Restaurant) Justin (FD Mgmt) Mon (shuttle bus driver) Melo (Omelet station) Bestie and I stayed here for prior to our 5-day cruise. I absolutely enjoyed my brief time at the Long Beach Marriott and would return to this property. First of all, I identified myself as a former Assistant Front Desk Manager and VIP Ambassador for another luxury hotel chain. Did it get me anything? Yes, it did. I got me exceptional service from team members. The Long Beach Marriott Hotel is located in a central location near the Long Beach Airport. Our friendly and attentive hotel shuttle driver, Mon, picked us up for the short drive. Once at the hotel, check-in at the front desk was a seamless and informative process. The staff was always present to greet us each time we arrived or departed. The elevators up to the room were clean and fast. The hotel hallway was brightly lit and carpet clean-looking. The room and common area furnishings were modern and well kept. We experienced absolutely no issues at all with the room. I did have some noise concerns about the room being faced towards the Long Beach Airport yet the airport noise was never problematic. The deliciously hot breakfast buffet is located in the Terrace Grill. The well maintained serving area had custom omelets, waffles, baked goods, eggs, meats and seasonal fruit

I use Hotwire to reserve a hotel room and I was willing to spend a little extra to get a clean exclusive hotel and to pay over $150 per night. It is expensive but you do get the value of $150 gets you. Ultra clean beds and sheets you could see from the photos that I took that the room itself is very clean and I like how the hotel has a flatscreen TV and has different channels available and that you can sync your YouTube account to play Bluetooth. The customer service is impeccable and it does come with free parking, which I like. Very large parking lot so you can easily park your car and it's very well lit so I do feel comfortable leaving my car out front. The hotel does not come with complementary breakfast, but it does come with a breakfast buffet for a fee, a Starbucks brewery inside the hotel, and a Mexican style restaurant attached to the hotel. Microwave is available along with a very clean refrigerator. I really appreciate it. How clean the refrigerator was. The ice machine is upstairs.

Margarita Bar and Cantina Staff and Crew were awesome and patient. Drinks and service was top notch.

This place is very clean. The staff is kind and accommodating. Security and safety is unmatched. And the managers were the best. Especially Art. Unfortunately, I had a sleep walking incident and Art was very attentive and helpful. He was ready to get me medical services if he wasn't successful in snapping me out of it. My sincerest apologies Art. Thank you so much for making sure I was safe. (Thankfully he was able to snap me out of it and wake me up)

My workplace has been utilizing the Marriott to host workplace related trainings, workshops, conferences, and even team building activities. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. Marlene Robbins, the manager of sales and catering, has been very reasonable and accommodating. She has been able to accommodate our requests from small conference rooms to large ones. She even facilitated the use of the pool area for some of our team building activities. Marlene has also been able to accommodate our meal requirements from basic coffee and breakfast refreshments to large buffet style meals. They were even able to provide lunch boxes for working lunches. Marlene is amazing and the customer service is superb. Marlene has also been able to accommodate our technology needs for the trainings and events. If you are looking to host a work related event, from training, confidential interviews, to full blown team buildings, Marlene is your go to person. Marlene can be contacted directly at 562 425 5210.

I've stayed here twice in the past two years and all the accommodations and service has been stellar. There is are two restaurants (Mexican food and breakfast/lunch buffet) in the lower lobby area. The buffet is about $25 and closes at 9:30am each day for breakfast. Pretty much anything you want to order is at hand. There is also a coffee spot in the lobby next to the large Christmas tree (if it's December lol). Free shuttle service takes you to and from the LB Airport. Clean rooms and plenty of good service.

First time at the Long Beach Marriott. I have an amazing view of the air strip of the Long Beach airport! Honestly, you barely hear the planes fly off. Idk if it's the distance or sound proof windows but I assumed the noise would be crazy but it wasn't. The lobby is beautiful and clean. The staff are kind and friendly. This is probably one of the better experiences I've had. Everything went smooth and everyone was professional. Can't wait to return to Long Bwac

This a very convenient location next to the Long Beach Airport. The room was spacious and very clean. Bed was comfortable as well. Overall it's a good experience for my short stay.

Located very close to the airport, Which I love. Rooms are cozy and clean. Beautiful pools. Refrigerator in the room and coffee pot. Restaurant in the hotel, I like everything I've tried. There is also a Mexican restaurant in the hotel with delicious margaritas!!!

Ask the Community - Long Beach Marriott

Is this a quiet hotel considering it's so close to the airport? Also do the rooms have a mini fridge?

It is really quiet, although the biking/walking path is really close, it's down in elevation from the hotel closer by the water. You will hear the occasional fog horn from boats but it's not disturbing at all.

    Brunch at the marriot?

Sunday Brunch at the Marriott is subpar BUT the attached Mexican restaurant/bar is always good.

I put a lot of trust in their word since they've previously stayed at this specific hotel a few times and they choice was perfect. Driving from the bay to Southern California was a whole trip in itself with two kids and the last thing we wanted to do was to rush the moment we got in the car and into the hotel. That being said, we decided to stay two nights prior to embarkation day. We wanted to walk in, get settled after the 7 (=/-) hour drive and relax. The hotel had everything we needed - a full kitchen, a clean and perfectly running shower, clean and comfortable beds and a wonderful view. The proximity of the hotel to the port was perfect. All eight of us were able to get our belongings together and not stress on getting parking. The continental breakfast was great as well. The staff was beyond amazing and during one of our nights we were able to watch the UFC fight downstairs in the lobby with a crew of construction workers. One of the staff attendants gave my girls crayons and coloring paper. She sat down and helped them with their art and it was honestly precious.

Checking in was a breeze in-person but you can also do it via mobile if you're in a hurry or don't want to wait. There's a private hotel parking garage and valet parking so you have a choice in how bougie you want to be (both will cost you). We self-parked but honestly didn't even go back to the car until it was time to leave - this hotel is quite centrally located and walkable to everything you could want in downtown Long Beach! We got a king bed with a city waterfront view. The room itself was clean for the most part but there were stains on the bed sheets, bathroom walls and towels. Wee bit gross, but compared to some other horrific places we've stayed at, it's still passable. The bathroom has some really weak water pressure, so get comfy and be prepared to really take your time taking a shower to get all the soap/shampoo out. The room comes with a small fridge and coffee maker but no microwave, so if you want to reheat/nuke anything you have to use the microwave next to the ice machine in the hallway. We were on the 8th floor and we quickly found out that the walls are really thin - you can hear your neighbors, people walking in the hallway, and anyone in the pool area quite clearly. The room came with double shades, which is great for keeping the light out. Unfortunately, they're also on the older side and require some effort to open/close them. We got a scare when our neighbor opened/closed their shades - it was so loud/creaky that it sounded like someone was trying to break into our window. There's a bar downstairs in the lobby along with a market/kitchen if you want to get your eats/drinks on. Plenty of tables around if you want to get out of your room for a bit. We ordered room service for breakfast and ordered in-person at the market for a late dinner. For breakfast, we had a breakfast burrito and huevo rancheros. For dinner, we had chicken tenders with side wedges and a burger with side tater tots. It's convenient if you don't want to worry about going out for food since they have a pretty decent menu (naturally all of the food/drinks are overpriced but that's a given with any hotel). The pool is open late which is great if you don't want to get sunburned during the day (there's no shade whatsoever in the pool or hot tub). If you go for a night swim, you also won't have to fight for cabanas as there are fewer people around. The hotel provides complementary towels once you get down there, so all you need is your room card to access as many towels as you need. The pool is heated though, so it's not as refreshing as you would think on those hot summer days. We saw a cockroach scurrying around the cabanas/poolside chairs when we got there so maybe play it safe and keep your shoes off the ground. Overall it's not the worst hotel we've stayed at but nowhere near any of the best. It's perfectly adequate/decent if you're going to the convention center, Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific, etc. The lack of cleanliness, paper thin walls, and weak water pressure are turn-offs though. We only stayed here because it's literally steps away from the convention center.

Upon a busy check in right about 5:00 PM on a Saturday in the summer time, we were notified that the AC in the hotel is out. (Side note it had been out since Tuesday and no one notified us until now) We were traveling with our bulldog so this was a huge deal and I immediately asked to be placed at another Hilton property. Art at the front desk was very kind and accommodating. He offered a room with a window that opens as well as a patio, so there would be a constant airflow. He also said if we weren't happy we could come back down for a full refund. Art in general was beyond gracious. We chose to stay, as the sun was going down, and when you're close to water it gets pretty cool even in the hottest months. We had some drinks at the bar and tried to make the best of it. The bartender was also kind and working hard in the heat! All was well considering the circumstances. Until midnight when all of the building alarms started going off every few minutes. We were only staying one night for a relaxing day away with our dog on the beach, and because of this property we definitely did not receive that. I've had to open a case for a refund, which seems crazy to me. As an honors member I definitely thought it would be offered without hesitation, and possibly even more compensation. Unfortunately this was not the situation. For a property with a great location, it needs a deep cleaning and a few updates immediately. With that, I'd consider returning.

The coppery exterior and surrounding landscaping looked sharp on arrival. Valet was prompt and helpful with luggage. I arrived early. They offered a room immediately but said waiting a short time would get me a better one, so I left the bags with bell service. Like every other hotel I've stayed at, they said they would call when the room was ready. They never did. I had to return to the front desk and ask. It was ready. This has happened at every property that makes the same promise. I actually have a dedicated hundred dollar bill sitting lying dormant in my wallet awaiting the first hotel employee that actually calls me when my room is ready. It will be all theirs when they do; and I will recognize them for being the first ever to have done so in my personal decades of staying in hotels...! The room was nicely done and elegantly decorated. The linens were excellent and the bed was comfortable. I had a city view rather than water, which was fine. Public areas (lobby, bar, restaurant) ran warm in the summer with the large glass and cavernous volumes, but the room air conditioning worked decent and kept a good room temperature. One detail I really appreciated and wish more hotels would incorporate: a filtered water station next to the ice machine. Location worked well for the business meetings I had the next morning. I've been a long-time Hilton Diamond member, but Marriott properties like this one are starting to pull me over on overall quality. Solid stay once in the room, with a few operational misses that keep it in the 3.5 to 4 star range for me.

You cannot set the room to a specific temperature and have it maintain that temperature. The AC shuts off, and by morning our room was 75 degrees, which made sleeping extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were also terrible. The feathers were clumped into certain areas, so we spent the night constantly trying to fluff and readjust them just to get comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small, outdated, and visibly run-down. Overall, the room simply did not feel like the quality you would expect from a hotel in this category. Then, at 6:47 a.m., while our entire family was asleep, someone knocked on our door asking if we had ordered pillows. We said no, but instead of apologizing and leaving, they continued questioning us: "So, you didn't order pillows?" Being woken up before 7 a.m. for something we never requested was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Parking is another disappointment: $49 per night, while parking directly across the street is around $20 overnight. We stay at nice hotels regularly, so we have a reasonable idea of what to expect at this price level. Unfortunately, this has been by far one of our worst hotel experiences. Between the uncomfortable room temperature, poor bedding, outdated bathroom, early-morning disturbance, and excessive parking fee, this stay has been a major disappointment.

Now for the cons: The only real cons I could think of were the groups of gawkers who kept appearing every couple minutes looking for ghosts and daring each other to knock on the door. Some of them even brought loud ghost hunting equipment and tried entering the room several times while we tried to sleep. But all of this could easily be avoided if we just get a regular room next time. The next few items are just suggestions I think would make for a better stay aboard the Queen Mary: 1) A mini fridge should be available in every room, free of charge and 2) The overnight parking should also be free!
