AH-MAZING experience here at the Long Beach Marriott, literally blew my mind as to my entire trip. I believe the foundation of a good getaway begins with your stay, and that's exactly how it started and ended. The LBM offers free shuttle service from LGB to and from the hotel, which is sweet. It runs early in the AMs from about 6am-1030pm. The shuttle runs from the hotel every 20 mins on the hour so four trips per hour. They are quick, professional and very informative and reliable. If you're coming from LGB, you can call the hotel front desk and they'll send a shuttle your way ASAP, just wait on the center island. There was a huge parking lot at the hotel since it doubles as a parking lot for those at the airport so it can be really full at some times. In case you're worried, there's also a parking lot behind the hotel that also has access directly to the hotel. FREE PARKING, oh yeeeeh. The lobby is currently being renovated, but it's not that bad. It's just this center piece that is hanging around, doesn't really get in the way. The lobby is clean and has lots of room for sitting and chilling, including an in hotel Starbucks and a nice tv. It's a good lounge area to chill. It also has a breakfast/lunch/dinner across the hall with a gorgeous outdoor and indoor seating that overlooks the hotel pool. It has a fire side, lots of chairs and the pool is clean and there's also a miniature waterfall right there. Indoor pool as well in case it gets chilly and a pretty stock with WORKING machines for those who doesn't want to skip a work out. The staff are the front desk were extremely helpful and knew the answers to all my questions. My online reservations were met and I got the room that I had requested. I was initially worried since being next to the airport it would be loud and a disturbance- but never even heard a place. They have a really sweet curfew here in LG. Our room was on the 7th floor- which will require you to stick your key card in before allowing you to press the 7 button (it's because the concierge lounge is also on that floor). I figured out the trick to getting the button to work, stick it in once really quick, take it out and jam it in again. The second time you'll be able to press the button. The room itself was spacious and clean. I checked all the corner and the bathroom, loaded with towels and toiletries and the shower head worked like magic- absolutely no problem and has amazing lighting for selfies! Lots of pillows and huge bed, nice view of LGB outside the hotel and the TV wasn't ancient and the room had a safe! I slept like a baby, which is rare since hotels aren't my thing but the experience really did tie together as a whole. The trip itself was amazing, but the hotel sweetened the deal and made sure I had good rest, access to the airport and I wasn't annoyed by the next door noise or any problems checking in or out of the place. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who is staying in LB. I was going to stay in downtown, but I'm glad I chose the airport one instead. OVERNIGHT STAY: Checked in @10pm and out @9am. The Front desk concierge was very warm and welcoming when we checked in. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. Our room was located on the executive 7th floor with a view facing the airport and swimming pool. (Request the odd room numbers if possible since those are the ones with the "view") Cannot stress enough how comfy the bed are here-slept like a baby on air! The morning after we enjoyed our complimentary breakfast from the buffet overlooking the pool. Food is pretty tasty, they have a fruit buffet, huge meat selection which included: bacon, chicken sausage, sausage like and breakfast potatoes. They also offer a build-your-own-omelet bar! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily rerun for another great night! We would recommend this place to all of our friends and family! read more

Sooo The room was OKAY - for 211.00 a night plus tax I expected a bit more. No valet service, no baggage assist. It is. is. Supposed to be a non smoking property - however there are butt cans systematically located approx 25 feet from each door in front of the handicapped zones. You literally have to walk through a fog of nicotine smoke everytime you enter or exit the hotel. Disgusting..... When my final fifth day came - forget about printing out your boarding pass. The computers are down and the hotel was ZERO help with that. I had to call the help line and was told their subscription had expired. This is a hotel beyond its expiration date. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!! What a miserable stay!!! read more

Stayed one night here due to a flight cancellation. Easy check-in and staff were friendly and accommodating. Stayed on the fourth floor and my only gripe in this review would be the room was super close to the elevator so I heard everyone walking off and to the elevator. In all it wasn't too bad and during the typical "night time" there wasn't much elevator traffic. Starbucks was convenient in the morning before my flight. The shuttle bus to Long Beach Airport was super convenient and made things easy. Outside of the room being close to the elevator, very happy with the stay. read more

Erick Gonzalez the night managed rejected my food from Uber eats and would not allow the driver to drop my order for a "no contact" delivery. During this unprecedented times the hotel should accommodate their customers to reduce exposure. During my stay I never had this problem with other front desk staff. The hotel will not allow deliveries up the elevator to leave the order at our door for a "no contact" drop. So he forced me to come in contact with a person to grab my food. I give this hotel an F. 1. All tables and chairs are wrapped with cellophane. The driver cannot place my food on the table so I can maintain a 6ft distance with the exchange. The only option is to leave the food on a high traffic floor in the lobby if I want a contactless delivery. 2. The elevator is only accessible with a key card. The driver cannot come upstairs and leave the food at my door for the contactless delivery. 3. Once I voiced my concerns to the night manager Erick Gonzalez he told me that's how it is and told me to have a wonderful night. When management is not listening to its customers and makes them feel bad for being afraid, that's a HUGE problem Marriott. Your low rates are not worth the risk. read more

MANAGER IGNORES MASKING MANDATES. We were waiting for an elevator when an unmasked man (on his phone) approached. I asked him to put on his mask. He said, "Do you see what I am doing here?" I replied that I wear my mask when speaking on the phone. He replied with a flippant remark. I walked toward the reception desk and asked to speak with the manager. Unmasked man egged me on, "Go ahead. They don't care. I stay here twice a week." Manager Philip came over and greeted maskless man by name. Manager did nothing except wish maskless man a good stay. I returned to my room and called reception. Asked to speak with Philip who told me he couldn't enforce the mandate an it was okay because maskless man was going into an elevator. I paid $268 for this place because the website advertises how careful they are with keeping guests safe during COVID. If you are unvaccinated and don't wear a mask stay here. If you want to stay somewhere that does their best to keep guests safe during Covid, DON'T STAY HERE! Also of note, the restaurant has a sign stating you must show proof of vaccination. The restaurant did not ask for proof of vaccination. "Just seat yourself anywhere, except the back area. That is closed." read more

I liked this hotel overall. Sleep: blackout curtains work well. The heat/cool is always on but is easily adjusted to your ideal temperature. The sheets are washed in sensitive skin friendly soap, and the bed is comfy. The bathroom: shower is hot and has medium pressure. There is a vanity mirror next to the toilet but your bathroom shares a vent with your neighbors room which can be a horrifying reality when getting ready. There is no full length mirror. Makeup was a challenge with no mirror you can get close to. The hair dryer is just ok. The Kleenex is very soft. The breakfast was quite varied and delicious. Pluses: Overall a pretty decent property with a large pool and deck area in the back. Rooms are nicely sized, but the tv could be be slightly larger. Concierge lounge features a nice breakfast spread. Ample free parking. Negatives: Somewhat musty odor from the outdated HVAC system; I think it basically just recirculates the air in the room: Could use a good cleaning or update. Towels could be replaced, as some show significant wear. Mattress has some saggy spots, could be replaced. Overall a decent property, as far as airport Marriott go. I prefer the Renaissance as it located in downtown LB and provides for easy walkable dinner/drinking options. read more

It's proximity to Long Beach was excellent. The staff was great as well. They were helpful or if they didn't know, they stated so (much appreciated). I would have to say my complaints would range in a bit of the point of "Really!!" Really! No hot tub? Two, count them, TWO pools? as well as large relfective pool big enough to be a hot tub!!! I came here with a group for salsa lessons last Friday night in the sports bar. It was really only our group and 3 other random people taking lessons. Lessons were focused on beginners. The teacher was nice, but lessons were $10 a person. I've had free lessons that accomplished just as much. There was suppose to be social dancing afterwards, but there wasn't really a crowd there so we ended up heading elsewhere. There's free parking, which was a plus!! read more

Certain Marriott hotels are a hit or a miss and so sometimes when booking with the Marriott online, you never know what to expect. This place was beautiful, the room was simple but of course it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our view was of the front parking lot but that's not something to complain about as we are in Long Beach and there's not much of a view of anything special to see. Free parking is a huge plus and the lobby and buffet area was really nice and well decorated for the holidays. We were here for my cousin's wedding and booked this hotel since they blocked off some rooms for us. Very convenient as this place is only about 3 miles from the reception area and we didn't have to drive too far after the wedding. The next day, the bridal party had a brunch get together and that was nice. Mimosas were served, we got an area up the stairs reserved for the party and the buffet was great. Even when the lady messed up my omelette, she immediately made me another one and didn't have me wait in line again. People at the front desk were very pleasant and our room was very quiet (even though our kids weren't) so we definitely had a nice little stay here, even if it was just for one night. read more

The room was dirty. A pee drop on the toilet seat, hair on the floor in the restroom and in the bedroom, pillow covers had makeup stains on them. I called and they offered to clean the room up. I requested to be moved... but I didn't feel comfortable the rest of my stay. Very disappointed since I always look for the Marriott brand when I travel for business. read more

Been here on a few occasions, Staycations and also a couple of weddings. The hotel is very clean, customer service is exceptional, and the pricing is extremely fair. They have two food establishments, one is a Mexican Cantina & the other is more traditional where they tend to always have some kind of brunch situation going on. They have two pools, on indoor & another outdoor. The outdoor pool is much better but only opened till 10PM, the indoor pool which is much smaller is open 24HRs. Plenty of lounge chairs & shaded areas for the quest to enjoy around the pool. Full bar (With Sweet Bartenders) as well with a mini Starbucks, though I didn't care for the Starbucks too much. When we were here for a wedding the staff did a great job as well and the food was delicious. Apparently pricing is pretty reasonable too, so if your looking in the LB area I would definitely check this place out. Again, great Hotel & I would highly recommend it. read more

Came here to meet my friend for dinner..it was early around 6:30pm Only a few people in the resturaunt so that was nice. Food was excellent I had the lobster bisque soup to start with followed by the 7 spices salmon with a side of creamed spinach. My friend had the shrimp cocktail which looked great SEE PICS..shrimp were large he followed that with his wedge cesear salad..I had a watermelon margarita..which was very refreshing.I didnt have any dessert but will next time around. Service was excellent..waiters are nicely trained..very polite..resturaunt ambience isnt fancy if you are looking for ambience you might want to stay in your room and room service it and light some candles...or if you are like me just popping in for dinner just enjoy the food and your company dont focus on atmosphere...lol ...I noticed they have a brunch here I would come back and try that. ....anyway over all its a nice place to eat....go check it out. read more

Ugh. The hotel has been updated, but it was clearly not designed by someone who traveled as a couple. One side of the bed had the phone and the other side had the outlet with USB ports AND the radio with outlets and USB ports. This means the one side of the bed cannot charge their phone at night or must have it elsewhere. My wife sleeps on the side of the bed where there were no outlets, but she keeps her phone with her to get notices from our son's CGM. This means she's either had low charge in the morning or the cord would go under my head. The bathroom sink could have been a little smaller to give some more room to the already limited counter space. The light in the shower is very bright and right above where you stand, so when you rinse your hair you are blinded if your eyes are open. Plus the hairdryer was not great. My wife wants to know is it so hard to have a decent hairdryer?! While the staff was really nice, it was kind of upsetting to make this reservation and have it note that you have access to the M lounge only to be told it won't be open for a few more days. They did offer some additional points as a consolation prize. read more

We checked in on a Friday afternoon for one night stay. The lobby was nice (not great) and the lady at the front counter who checks you in was pleasant and helpful. I looked around and saw a pool in the back. It was nice! Has water falls and lots of tables to sit and lounge in. Our room came with a king size bed (it's big!) and a 36" LG flatscreen. The decor was modern and tasteful (see lounge chair). Overall a nice experience! read more

The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, unfortunately Kristen from the sales department ruined the experience. Our team from an out of town school booked 7 rooms after a conference. We planned on staying the night and getting some work done the next day. The person on the phone who booked our rooms offered us a meeting space for the next day to work in. He said it would be free. When we arrived, Kristen said it was $300. She refused to work with us or stand behind what was offered by an employee. She was rude and unhelpful. If you are black I wouldn't recommend this place. They called security on me because i walked in the hotel & accidentally went the wrong way. Since i was a little lost I thought to my self, "hey i might as well use the restroom real quick". Mid restroom usage, a security guy walks in and tells me he got a call about a "suspicious" person in the hallway. Lol I instantly looked at the security guy & say "they called you because of how i look huh?" He says "i know sir im sorry" ... long story short, im assuming this Marriot feels like young black men cant afford their "nice" hotel so if one enters the doors, they must call security. Blatant racism if ya ask me. Never will i ever visit another Marriot in my life. My black dollars aren't welcomed their so 'f' them too. & btw, the hotel room wasn't even all that. Hello ALL! Thanks for following me... I came to the LB Airport Marriott for a wedding! As this location is incredibly close to the airport runway, I kept thinking it will be a disaster. It wasn't. It is an amazing place. I can't tell you about the rooms as I haven't stayed here. I can tell you that every hotel employee was super-friendly. The pool area is also beautiful. Cement tortoises lone a section underwater. Kinda cool! The food was pretty good: Cheese platters w some fruit; Kobe beef sliders; Crab Slider; Chicken Wings; Jalapeño Poppers; Chicken tacos; beef tacos. When you're catering an outdoor function the display/presentation must CONTRIBUTE to the foods safety and freshness. Warm foods MUST be served - and maintained at proper temperatures if they are to be truly and properly enjoyed. Now...hot foods can stay at room temperature for up to 4 hours - but that doesn't mean it should be. Listen up caterers! Know your temps and do your best to meet those expectations...it affects the product and those consuming your goods. And speaking of "consuming goods"...STARPUKE Coffee is never a welcomed experience to ANYONE with a palette! Liquid charcoal is never an acceptable beverage. YUCK! Overall I would recommend this place based on my experiences. From those who stayed overnight - they would also recommend this hotel for other reasons. SUNDAY BRUNCH REVIEW - I went to a sunday brunch about 1 year ago and it was wonderful. The restaurant has a pretty view of their pool area and gardens. The food and service were great so our family decided to eat their for Mothers Day this year. I made reservations about 2 weeks in advance and was actually shocked that they had availability for 6 of us. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to our reservation time and they said they had our table ready - WOW, lucky us. They pointed us in the direction of a long hallway. I knew this wasn't the way to the restaurant but thought maybe it was another waiting area. We walked up and they had 2 women seated with a cash register and you had to pay in advance. That was interesting and very tacky. She had no idea of the age for children's prices. They then walked us into their their large banquet room. The banquet room was closed off with no windows and seating for about 500 people. It was set up like a wedding reception. Service - We were seated and immediately served champagne which was good but my 2 daughters were not given any choices for beverages. We had to ask for water 2 times, still did not get it and had to find a manager. They returned with 2 waters for 6 of us. We then had to ask several times for our plates to be picked up! They never came back to refill the champagne so my husband finally went and got a bottle off of the bus station and we served ourselves. THE WORST SERVICE EVER. Food - As I mentioned I had previously been to their brunch so I was excited. It was nothing like before. Very few selections. The shrimp cocktail was slimy. The prime rib was extremely fatty and well done. It actually tasted "gamey". Their omelet bar was a joke. The cook kept overcooking the omelets and all the selections were set up behind the cook in what looked like a home made ice chest with tinfoil. The only thing that was good was the Waffles. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

Good Execution With Some Material Flaws It is always gratifying to show up at a hotel and be greeted by a staff with friendliness and competence. Long Beach Marriot is an attractive hotel in its price category, and it features plenty of parking. Positives: - Tamarindo's restaurant, and our server "Ravy." We had some of the mini-tacos and a burger, and both were great. - The hotel gym is clean, well-equipped, and nice to look at. - In fact, the hotel itself has a clean, modern look to it. - Service in general was above average; front desk staff were top drawer. - Breakfast buffet featured fresh fruit and an omelet bar. Flavor was okay. Negatives: - The soundproofing could definitely be better. We awoke at 1:00am to the plaintiff call of a millennial female knocking on a room door down the hall constantly (and "David," if you ever read this, I hope she finally found you, and that you were okay). - Potential deal breaker: the room HVAC system is tied into a centralized system and cannot be turned off. Those of you who want more control over your room a/c will find this irksome. read more

This review is in reference to the Long Beach Marriott located at: 4700 Airport Plaza Drive. My family and I stayed her for two consecutive nights in late June of 2021. As we knew what time we were going to arrive, we requested an early check-in, which this hotel stated they were accommodating with. Upon arrival, my family and I were not greeted nor welcomed. The reception desk was empty, along with its lobby. With our luggage in tow, we sat in the lobby and waited to be greeted. After approximately ten minutes, my husband decided to try to find an employee to check us in. After another 15 minutes passes, my husband walks back to the lobby with an employee. It was then that the employee told us we were not able to be checked in early and had to wait for the 4pm standard check in time. We indicated that we requested an early check-in time and were told it would not be a problem. The employee stated it was 'out of his hands' as there was not a room available yet. This particular hotel's occupancy was not close to 100%, as one can easily check online. We are fortunate that we drove our own vehicle from San Diego to this location, as we had to load our luggage back into our vehicle and wait approximately 3 whole hours before check-in time. During our stay here, we had to come down multiple times to ask for extra towels and a shower stool for my handicapped mother. As I am a planner, I also requested these two accommodations while booking. Needless to say, we had to ask multiple employees (when we could actually find them) and multiple times for such requests. Approximately three hours later, my handicapped mother was finally able to shower safely. The hallways of this particular hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, which is interesting because all Marriotts are smoke-free hotels. To top it all off, my husband is an employee with Marriott in San Diego. We know what to expect from its organization and values. When initially booking this reservation, it asks online if an employee is reserving. I feel as though being an employee of the franchise did us a disfavor- we were treated more poorly because of it. The only outstanding customer service and people skills we received here was from the barista at the Starbucks Café that was located inside of the building. I have forgotten her name, however, she had short hair and stated she had been working there for quite some time. She was the only joy of our three day/two night stay. If you are reading this, I thank you for being the sunshine to our poor experience at this location. Would NOT recommend this hotel or families or multiple night stays at all. Just returned from a one night stay at The Long Beach Marriott. This location is located next to the Long Beach airport, so there are tons of guests that stay here while on business. The property itself is located in a business park area by the airport. The lobby has a Starbucks counter that can serve some of their drinks (limited menu items because it is not an actual Starbucks shop). As normal, the booking and check in process was quick and simple. The front desk was extremely helpful in accommodating our requests for bed types and the location of our rooms to be next to each other. Customer service at The Marriott chain never disappoints and it was no different here at The Long Beach Marriott... Property has a lounge type bar in the lobby that closes at 930 and Tamarindo's is also located in the hotel (closes at midnight). Was pretty cold so we did not get to maximize the pool and outdoor area. Looks very inviting though... Rooms are standard size (double bed rooms) and the beds are super comfortable. There is a door that separates the shower and toilet from the sink and vanity area. If you are a Marriott Elite member, you have access to the lounge on the 7th floor for breakfast. The selection here is is on the better end. We have stayed at plenty of Marriott branded hotels and they pretty much all have the traditional items (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, etc), so I was surprised to see the Eggs Benedict option Our biggest surprise was the complimentary parking. Was nice to stay at a category 6 Marriott with no parking expense... If ever in the area again, we definitely would select The Long Beach Marriott... read more

This is a nice hotel it's pretty good location and all the staff is nice. The food in the breakfast Buffett is awful. The sausage patty takes like dog food. The bacon is dripping oil and floppy. The omelette came out with unmelted cheese. The strawberries and grapes were clearly on their last leg. So disappointed. read more

I'm currently laying in a bed here .. it's bent and dented in the toilet paper is thin as hell here. They claimed they had an indoor heated pool but it's freezing. I booked at 6 am the day before my reservation and tried to cancel 4 hours later and they said no that they would keep my funds. I called to ask for a late check out and the woman at the front desk didn't even check availability she just rudely replied immediately "no not today" I just don't feel like they have done anything to be customer service friendly. read more

In all honesty, I really like the Marriott chain, but this establishment does not live up to the Marriott brand standard. This location only gets 1 star because we had my cousins wedding here on the evening of January 1st, 2017, which was a great affair and left me feeling positive. The bar staff were also very friendly and pleasant. But this Marriott hardly even deserves the time and effort of my review. When we arrived, we were pleased to find ample free parking. However, upon pulling up to the hotel entrance we did not find anyone to assist us with our bags. So we self parked and carried our luggage into the hotel where we were finally greeted and asked if we needed a hand. At this point we were already checking in and took care of it ourselves. The check in process took longer than expected. We then went up to our rooms on the 6th floor. Mind you that our wedding party had about 5 rooms on that floor under the same reservation. Apparently the hotel installed new doorknobs on the room doors. The craftsmanship on the handle was so bad that one of my cousins cut his knuckle against the edge, deep enough to cause bleeding for about 20 minutes. We called the management to address our concern and we're told someone would be up to check on the issue. At that point as we were settling in, we noticed one of the double beds had a couple of old, dried blood stains on the bed sheet. We were so horrified we called hotel management again immediately. It took the hotel GM close to an hour to finally come up and see us in regards to our concerns. He was appalled and agreed that the sharp door handles were a hazard and he would raise this concern to hotel engineering. We then showed him the blood-stained bed sheet and after sharing in our disgust and dismay, he urged housekeeping to bring us new sheet, which took at least another hour. The worst part, they did not even attempt to change the sheets for us and left the sheets in the room expecting us to change them ourselves. What kind of service is that? Absolutely not what I expect from Marriott. After a great wedding party, we went to our room to get some rest. At this time we realized that one of the mattresses, the same bed that had the bloody bed sheet, was heavily dented. We called management to complain and were spoken to in a very rushed and unprofessional manner. We requested a rollaway bed at the least and were told that was not possible due to fire regulations. It was unbearable to my cousin and he was not able to get the sleep he needed. Come morning, he rose with a severe back pain resulting from the rough hours of tossing and turning. We discussed this with others in our party and found that other guests had the same issue with extremely uncomfortable mattresses and back pain, including myself. As we neared checkout, we called the front desk to ensure our issues were not forgotten and we're told the maintenance manager was going to come and inspect the bed. We had to call twice within the hour and a half we waited for her to come up as we needed to head back to LA. When the maintenance manager finally came up, she was very short with us and did not seem to express any sympathy for our discomfort. After looking at the underside of the mattress and claiming the bed seemed to be in fine condition and attempting to attribute our uncomfortable experience to a matter of "personal sleep preference," she finally tried laying on the bed herself and "inspected" the dent in the mattress from our angle, she agreed there was a "little dent" and abruptly asked what we wanted. We were a little shocked at the lack of consideration shown by this representative of the company, and vented to her our terrible experiences since we checked in. In a very snappy manner, she asserted they would not compensate us for our room but she would work something out for us with the front desk manager. We packed up our luggage and took them to the car without being offered assistance, and proceeded to checkout which we had to wait for 40 minutes to do. I am extremely dissatisfied with this Marriott experience and how the management on site attempted to rectify the issues their facility and staff put us through. I suggest avoiding this hotel if you are ever in Long Beach. read more

This is such a nice hotel, conveniently located in a nice area near the LB Airport. We hold events at this hotel and they're very attentive and helpful. Ricardo is wonderful and makes sure we have everything we need for our events. The buffet breakfast is great! The omelettes are made to order. We haven't stayed at the hotel, so cannot comment on the rooms. If you're looking for a great place for meetings, this is a great option! read more

We stayed two nights here for a family event. Ok, so wifey is our trip planner and she is an MMA fighter when it comes to making plans for trips and if a place or business doesn't meet her expectations...I sometimes feel sorry for the customer service rep. that is talking with her. Here's the story. Wifey made arrangements for two rooms next to each other for us and her parents. The trick was we got a discount using our AAA card but they insisted on paying for the rooms. It would have gone fine if we had driven together or arrived on time but that didn't happen. They got a head start on us and we're 2 hours ahead. Wifey realized there might be an issue so she called. The front desk said all was fine and they would charge for the discounted rate. We were sweating it as this issue ha happened in the past with other places and it was a mess. About 2 hours later parents called and said all was fine and the rate was as expected...yay Marriotts! All in all the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean (no wildlife in the bedsheets). I have two dings: 1) The security to use the elevator. You need to use your room key to activate the floor buttons. When your hands are full, it's a pain to swipe the card and press the button. Also the info. to do this process wasn't clear so more than once I had to help other guests use the elevator. 2) The Starbucks coffee was darkened water. It was flavorless. I have stayed at this hotel for years...truly for the shuttle service as they would take me to Blair Field when needed. I stayed there on 2/14, I walked down to the shuttle desk which showed "leisure shuttle" at 4:00 pm, it was 4:05 pm. I spoke with the driver and he didn't know where Blair Field was, I gave him directions and he radioed someone else. Then tells me that they can't drive me because its reserved for the airport only. Mind you there's two shuttle buses, both were parked out front and both drivers sitting on the planter box doing nothing. I was then spoken to by the Front Desk Manager who said that has been the policy for "years"....thats funny because I've stayed there numerous time over the "years" and I always received a ride. I understand if they were actually busy but again, don't advertise "luxury shuttle" and put a time on it if you're not going to honor it. I ended up being late to my meeting as I had to call an Uber. I gave the girl at the front desk my business card and demanded a call from the hotel manager...Fast forward to the following Tuesday, I still did not receive a call from the Manager and had to place a call myself...they obviously don't care about their customers. I spoke with the GM named Imran, he wasn't aware of the "luxury service" timetable and said he would look into this and call me back. He did call and said he was heading into a meeting and would call me back on Wednesday between "10am and 10-ish"....I cleared my calendar to wait for his call...he never called...not even to this day. I received an email from Sofiane Lahaouasnia, Front Office Manager...not the hotel manager, not the GM...but the front office who apologized and then lied to me saying that Imran called me but my phone was "disconnected"...I have it documented that I was on calls prior to 10am that day and another at 10:42 am...so no, it wasn't "disconnected". She then states "we had the drivers expecting inbound flights and outbound flights to pick up and drop off other guests to the Long Beach Airport. I believe that we could have done better in terms of communication and definitely, we had no intention to deliver any perceived mediocre customer service as shared." That's another lie because only 1 van left to pick up passengers from the airport...the other sat there and did nothing. Again, I have stayed there numerous times over the years and not have cancelled my Marriott account, my Marriott Credit Card not because of the shuttle service, but because of their lies and the lack of customer service and caring of customers...customer like you and me who pay good money for service and ultimately their paychecks...There's other choices in Long Beach...this place sucks! read more
