we love Long Dogger's.... it is our favorite place to take or kids. The food is great as well as the service. We usually eat there about once a week. The servers all know us and we get treated very well ... Accept on wed nights... we have been there several times on wed nights. there is a group of runners that leave from Long Dogger's every Wed right at dinner time... they take up all the parking spots. The parking lot is completly full and the restaurant is mostly empty. When they return most get in cars and leave. A few of them will drink beer in the parking lot and a few others hang out at the bar sweaty from their run with no shirts on..We mentioned to our server the lack of parking. She waits on us all the time and was great about it, she had the manager stop by our table. The manager was a TOTAL JERK about it and dismissed our issue with all the parking being taken by a group that does not eat there.... I think that he expected us to park across post road and walk our kids across the street. I would love if someone from Long Doggers would reply to this. If we spend 60- 70 dollars a week there... why does the manger choose to dismiss an issue that they have there every wed night right in the middle of dinner service. read more

First time since covid started, we had to get out for some outdoor dining. Long Doggers of course! Open seating was available with a catch - only tables with napkin caddies. Social distancing! Our server, Julia, (wearing a mask) was right on top of things. She got us set up with drinks, took our order, and made sure we felt comfortable, offering straws and pointing out the hand sanitizer right around the corner. Our order came out shortly, wings and crosscut fries for my wife and a Kahuna Burger for me. Both were cooked perfectly and hot. At the end Julia brought us refills but we didn't have time to finish them, so we were offered Go Cups. Perfect! Very enjoyable and tasty - just what we needed in rather uneasy times. She greeted as we walked in , then she happened to be our server got drinks for us and kept them coming thank you Jess!! We always eat here after hanging out with the boys...A lot of the local first responders enjoy eating at their favorite grill style restaurant located right next door to our local State College, Eastern Florida State College, where we complete most of our continuing education. Yes, there are other diners in the area and they have a few yummy things & are friendly too, but This place - - - Woo-Hoo! Their Patty Melt sandwich & their Rueben are both Awesome! Perfectly prepared, plated, & presented... Both Tasted Incredible! My husband also LOVED their coleslaw, I personally like it cut-up smaller, but the sauce is right on point! Oh, & Yes, before leaving, we also purchased a 6-pack of biscuits to take home... Our waitress even brought a cup so I could take my tea with me! It wasn't very busy When we walked in, we were greeted promptly by Lucy and told to sit anywhere we liked. I ordered Ham and Eggs with hash browns and a biscuit. My hash browns were very brown, almost burnt. My eggs were cooked as requested, the ham slice was on the thinner side. My friend ordered eggs and sausage links and 1/2 a waffle, coffee was included with her meal. Lucy was attentive, but lost points when she rolled her eyes when I requested some extra napkins. A pleasant place with reasonable prices. Inside there was a decorative mural on the wall.

If a restaurant serves a sub they should make sure the roll is decent. I don't know why it is such an issue to not serve a hard roll. An Italian or French baguette would have made the sandwich!! That's the Italian way!! It said vinaigrette on the roll but it was the exact same dressing as the Italian dressing on the salad which I guess is okay. The guys had Florida Ale and Sailfish IPA. I had Pinot Noir, meh...fair. I will go back and just not order the "Grinder Italian sub" and I'll order an IPA. Overall nice airy place, clean with outdoor seating. Looking forward to another visit.
