Seaside Florida Grill 1550 A1A Satellite Beach, FL 32937 4 Stars I was excited to try Seaside Florida Grill in Satellite Beach, as it has the same owners as Le Crepe De France, which would be a BBDO Top 5- 5-star restaurant if they fixed the service nightmare. I know it sounds hypocritical when I consistently say service doesn't matter, only execution. This place is the exception that proves the rule. However, that does not appear to be the case here. Seaside Florida Grill is humming along on all cylinders. The first thing I noticed was their fantastic drink menu. Gina is our service professional today and she is outstanding in every way. I asked Gina for one plate of Lobster Pasta, an order of Lemon Caper Grouper, some Blue Cheese Mussels and one New York Strip (medium rare). I snapped some pics of the place, and that was when I realized there was zero internet access. There was no usable WiFi at all, and it would seem this building effectively blocks all service. This is not a bad thing. Talk to your tablemate! Gina was soon seen returning with our order, and I set myself to the task at hand. Turn your peepers to the photos, and you will see how delicious everything looks. However, as we all know, looks can be deceiving, so I put my tools of culinary extirpation in my hands and got to work. Every now and then, when I use words or phrases such as "culinary extirpation," I get some joker on Social Media screaming about the grandiloquence of my diction. I'm not trying to sound pompous; it's just how the words flow sometimes. Returning to the job at hand, I plopped a forkful of the Lobster pasta in my mouth and was immediately wowed by the sauce. The Lobster was tender and cooked to perfection. But, it's the sauce that stole the show here. When reading it on the menu, I was apprehensive as I thought the White Cheddar cheese sauce might overpower the delicacy of the lobster meat. Usually, one sees a dish such as this with a milder cheese such as Provolone or Gruyere. This was not the case as the sauce perfectly complimented the exquisite Lobster meat. Kudos! Moving on to the Lemon Caper Grouper. The fish was fresh, tender, and cooked to flaky perfection, while the sauce was, again, spot on. This is your basic lemon caper butter seafood sauce; there is nothing special in that. It's the execution that sets this apart from other joints. Whoever was the Saucier back there deserves a raise! This sauce had my taste buds looking for a dance partner. This brings me to the second-to-last dish to be reviewed: the Blue Cheese Mussels. These are the same mid-grade New Zealand Mussels found in every joint in the country. This dish isn't about the mussels; it's all about the sauce. Consisting of blue cheese, white wine, shallots, and parsley, this sauce would win awards in any competition anywhere. Hands down. Amazing! Turning to the last item on my plate today, the New York Strip, listed on the menu for a paltry 29 clams, I just had to try it. While it was cooked properly, it tasted as expected. It was choice grade (if that) and not prime. With a higher grade of protein, this place could be Best of Brevard. The execution and sauces are outstanding. The Big Boy says, "Go ahead. Give 'em a try. You won't be disappointed."

The food was better than expected. Service was a little awkward and their attire seemed off for dinner service. Ribeye and filet mignon were cooked perfectly and had a great char. Dessert was good. Not amazing but good. Old Fashions were not great and I would not order them again. Ultimately, the I-just-rolled-out-of-bed vibes from the server threw off the ambiance for us. Made us feel out of place, like maybe we should take our casual date-nights somewhere nicer. But, the food was good so we'll still give it another go.

Server was friendly. They didn't have a couple apps that we wanted to try that hadn't been taken off the menu yet. The rosé marg was delicious. Food portions & drink quality matched the prices. The scallops were our favorite, delicious & memorable. We wanted to get another order but the kitchen was closing. Fish dip flavorful, nice smokiness. Veggies were fresh. Crab cakes were underwhelming. Too thin & not enough crab. The food didn't take long. Bread n oil was served complimentary. Plenty of seating, at the bar as well as outside. Definitely recommended.

While in Cocoa Beach we were looking for a place to get a nice steak dinner. At first we were a little concerned that the parking lot was pretty empty but we were there on the early side. Griffin (our waiter) was excellent, bringing samples of wine before we made a choice. We had salads before which were excellent and they also brought a small loaf of warm fresh bread and olive oil. Our Filet Mignon was excellent and the sides were good as well. Griffin was very flexible in making some adjustments in sides due to my wife's food allergies (good plus). The Ambiance is good although maybe lacking a little for the level of food they serve. We split a piece of coconut cream pie and it was definitely frozen and not worth doing. The meal was overall very good but I would skip dessert. They had a nice outdoor seating area too but it was kinda windy so we opted to be indoors. I would definitely go back if/when we come back to this area.

The Snapper was kinda rubbery and 30 minutes after I left I feel bad. It's not on my list of places to go.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. In the true vibe of speakeasy, this is a hidden gem.

The cocktails were exceptional. I asked for classic cocktails that weren't in the menu. They delivered. Love the place. Why Four stars? Service was three bears. The waiter with the blonde mop of hair is very nice but inexperienced. Too on top of customers when they arrive. He needs to give a menu and give a few minutes for guests to peruse it. The head bartender is brilliant. Talent without hospitality, though, is a craft cocktail fail. Kindness counts. The vibe was colder than the cocktails. I hope it improves on future visits. The blonde bartender in the grey dress was just right. Professional, attentive, and kind. This is easily a six star speak. When you are serving? You are "on." Be as excellent and calm of a person as you are outstanding at your craft.

Friday night at Boardwalk Grill in Indialantic was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-notch. Our server, Bryant, was absolutely outstanding--kind, hilarious, attentive, and somehow managed to remember all eight ladies' names at our table after being challenged! Talk about impressive. We started with the burrata and fish dip, both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off the evening. For our entrées, the steak and salmon were cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite was worth savoring. While Boardwalk may be a bit of a splurge, I can confidently say it's one of those places where the experience matches the price point. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, you won't leave disappointed. Overall, a good experience. I'll definitely come back, but there are some serious issues that…read moreshould be addressed by the restaurant. I'll give it the 4 based on menu and food quality for now (even though something was seriously wrong with one of the specials), but if I returned and had the same ambiance and food issues again I would not be so nice. Food - Excellent. 1 ordered pasta (all loved it), 1 ordered the Wagyu picanha special (loved it), 2 ordered the snapper special (1 loved theirs, but the other came out 100% overcooked. Had to use a knife to cut it, and it was ultimately inedible.) All agreed that they'd eat the food again (just possibly avoid fish special as the quality was inconsistent). Did not notify staff because it took A FULL HOUR for the entrees to make it to us from the time we arrived. Service - Excellent. Server was very good, you could tell had experience. But they were way too busy. Could not visit the table as often as they should have. Probably didn't get orders in and food moved in a timely manner. But this is the fault of management (for understaffing for the number of guests) and the owners/decision makers (that decided to cram in more seating/guests than the kitchen/staff can actually keep up with). Ambiance - Uncomfortably loud. A speaker directly above our table was either misbalanced or turned up too high or broken. It boomed bass at our table the whole time. In an already incredibly loud room because of all of the talking and the tables being way too close together, it was unbearably annoying. We had to "what" each other a lot. About those tables - please quit it. I get that YOU the restaurant want to pack in as many people as possible, but we were practically sitting in strangers laps. I could hear every detail of the conversation at the table directly behind me, more than I could hear the person I was dining with at the table across from me. All of the customers AND staff were bumping against our chairs CONSTANTLY trying to pass by or reach other tables. "Sorry." "Sorry." "Sorry." The staff said sorry to us so many times it was obvious they knew it was a problem. The only reason this happened is because they're cramming two 2-seaters behind and around two 4-seaters in an area where you really can only fit the two 4-seaters comfortably. It was also unbearably hot. The garage-style doors are open... on a day that is a "feels like" of 96 because of the humidity. There was literally ZERO air movement in the restaurant. We were SWEATING at the table. The men, dabbing their foreheads and fanning shirts. Did they have an AC? I think so. Bc I felt it twice for 2 minutes. But that's it. The thing is - the food is priced like upper end dining. And I would say the quality of the food supports those prices. But no one wants upper end dining in a crowded, hot, sweaty, loud environment. It's like having a steak in a mosh pit. Will come back and hopefully the restaurant will have worked out the kinks by then.

She took one look and said he wasn't going inside. She didn't ask if he was a service dog. She didn't ask if he is trained or what is he trained to do. So I explained he is a service dog. So we came inside and a good vibe young man told us we can sit anywhere. It was a while before a very young man, a child, came to ask us what we'd like to drink. The manager delivered our iced teas. She asked what we wanted to eat and when I said I'd like the NY Strip medium and could I have a little horseradish sauce on the side she abruptly shut that down. She could have said she could check to see if there was some left over from yesterday. So I asked if maybe there was some left over. She said she'd look but I started feeling nausea about the whole thing and suddenly wasn't so hungry. Her vibe sent daggers in my heart. It seemed to us that she was really pissed off about my service dog, and she visibly treated us harshly compared to the couple that was sitting a few tables away from us. Thankfully, Alli started taking care of us and her beautiful energy was a lot more relaxing. We were able to finish our meal on a good note and even have a little caramel cheesecake. In three years, this is only the second manager that was immediately and unnecessarily negative about my service dog. He has gone to every restaurant and everywhere I go when I leave the house. I still don't understand why so many managers or servers don't understand the ADA guidelines for how to treat people with service animals. Every manager should be required to read the ADA guidelines. They don't realize the impact they have on people who are already vulnerable.
