I don't get it. Really, I just don't get it. How does this place have five locations? I really WANT to like it. I WANT this to be a place we go for a quick "Let's go grab some casual comfort food" place. So I have tried it... three times. The first two were at the Satellite Beach location. The first time was "This place looks cool, let's try it". But we ordered some hot dogs, and... well, "Meh". The second time was "OK, it REALLY does look like a cool little place, let's give it another shot". We tried wings and Crab cake sandwich. Meh. Third time's a charm? Normally the second would have been the final nail in coffin for us, but they opened in Viera, where there are so few options, and it is sooooo close to home. I really, really wanted to be wrong. Really!! This time we went with the Bowls & Burritos section of their menu... You got it, Meh. So what's with the place? They have a great plan for designing their places to look like Beach hut dives that must be good. But when you go inside, the first thing that strikes me is the menu. All of the menu items have "our food items are surfers" themes to them. "Totally Tacos", "Kahuna Burger", "Epic Chili Dog", and we always know the side dishes are gonna be great when the section is called "Hang 10 on the Side". OK, I don't really want to judge someone for having fun with naming their food, but in my experience, that is usually a sign that they are much more creative in NAMING food than MAKING it. So how DO they make it? Well, all of the things we have tried have been very flavorless on their own. For example, my choice the other day was the ""Villon Bowl". Black beans, rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, grilled chicken. Well, it was really just that. Those ingredients were all there, but the chicken was that awful "strip" chicken you get in supermarkets that had certainly been heated, but there was no seasoning. And the other ingredients were just... kinda... there. On the table, they have hot sauces, vinegar, etc. available for whatever you have ordered. I had to completely douse my bowl with hot sauce and vinegar to give it any flavor at all, not that it made it good. That's really it. it is very "Blah", and we sadly left knowing that while this place is right down the street from us, a third strike is a third strike. read more

Food is good but inconsistent and service is hit or miss . A local legend of Brevard but this location needs some help. Manager is often times seen standing around while the waitressses are overwhelmed or struggling. read more

We love this Longdoggers! Every time we eat in or take out the food is fresh and delicious! I recommend the tuna mango appetizer-wings-fish dinner of the day and even the chicken creaser salad. The key lime pie is excellent! Thanks ! read more

Have been several times and the food is always good and consistent. It is a small establishment so sitting at the bar you can see everyone (even in the kitchen) working hard to serve their customers - It is impressive! If you want a very good local spot to have better than just good food, great beer, sports on TV, and a casual environment with servers that really work hard for you this is the place. The staff was totally swamped tonight but absolutely amazing! There were smiles, amazing attitudes and great service! Long doggers is a surf themed restaurant. Sometimes they have live music. They have hot dogs, hamburgers, wings and some seafood. Service is always prompt and friendly. Never have had a bad meal at long doggers. read more

Pretty good place to go. The location is great for us, but once we move, it's definitely not something I will crave. That is, except, the corn casserole. Out. Of. This. WORLD GOOD! The beer pitchers are pretty reasonably priced. Good place to get a little tipsy (as long as you aren't driving, of course.) Other than that, it's pretty typical "beach fare" like okay-to-good crab cakes with okay wings, and some decent hot dogs. The waffle fries are alright, but definitely not Chick-Fil-A level. A few times I've ordered the fish tacos, I've had bones in my fish. Now, I understand that it is indeed a fish, and they have bones, but I've never had that problem anywhere else. Their hot wing sauce is very good and very hot. I do enjoy getting a side of that. The garlic teriyaki wing sauce is also tasty. Overall, a great place to grab a few pitchers of beer and have your buzz mask the mediocre-ness of the food. It is a fun place to hang out, I will give them that! read more

The food is good but this was my second time here and it has been a horrible experience both times. They need to keep the food because it's good but get rid of every single waitress there. The four of us ordered fish tacos (good), Mahi fish sandwich (good), High Life Dog (terrible) and a blackened Mahi filet fish sandwich (good). Onion rings were greasy but pretty good and really you do only get 3! (BOO!) The beer was cold and the waitresses were scantily clad and had the bodies to wear the limited clothing...which the guys appreciated. Service was okay. read more

It has a great atmosphere. The staff is all very friendly. I had the kahuna dog without the onions. It was good but perhaps a little to much BBQ sauce for the size of the hotdog. The onion rings were very good. I like how they put a little piece of fruit on the platter too. The sweet tea is also good. read more

I've written, and re-written this review, several times. In the end, I'm taking the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" mostly to heart. I'd like to see them change the way they sell wings. If you order a pound (or two) of wings, how many do you expect to receive ? Odds are, if you order 2 pounds, you'll likely get 1.25.. perhaps 1.5 if you're lucky. Ask me how I know.. LOL Perhaps it's pre-cooked weight... if that's the case, they need to tell you ! read more

The Long Doggers in Rockledge/Viera is as good, if not better than the other locations in Brevard. I have been a frequent patron at this restaurant lately and they have been stellar on every visit. They have very good burgers and really good wings. The salads are great and the beers are cold. I have had some of the dogs and they are unique and some are quite tasty. They only have beer and wine at this location the bartender and the other servers made sure my beer glass was full at all times. I like how they all help each other with the guests even when its super busy. It is a causal beach themed restaurant with a knack for getting and retaining the right staff to run it. read more

We've lived in Viera for just over 5 years and have figured out which restaurants in the area are worth spending our money at. Our list is down to just two. Longdoggers Viera is one of them. The wait staff is always on the ball. We never have to sit and wait wondering if anybody was going to show up at the table. They really do work together as a team. The menu is casual dining but the quality of the food is excellent. The fish is always cooked perfectly and the fried clams are a delightful surprise. Never rubbery and always hot. If a restaurant's name is Long Doggers Viera, you expect that they would proudly serve a 1st class hotdog. Unfortunately, The hotdogs we ordered to go were cold, undercooked, and the roll was wet mush because wet sour kraut was piled on top of the dog and roll. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, plus the prices can't be beat! The best thing on the menu is the Johnny o dog, trust me on this! Their clam chowder is pretty awesome as well! Made the mistake of diverting to the mahi fish tacos today and it wasn't exactly the best decision I've ever made, absolutely no flavor! Update: Ok what awesome service! The manager wrote me to see what was going on with the mahi tacos so that they could improve upon them! Long Doggers is a Brevard staple. The food may not be amazing, the ever present golf carts in the parking lot may be annoying, but the atmosphere is purely local. Especially for the Viera location. The newer Cocoa Beach location is packed with tourists, and the indiatlanic location though awesome is the same exact way. This one fits perfectly. The food is what you expect it to be. If you think you're getting fine dining and the best waiters in the world you're wrong. What you get is decent food for the money, a relaxed atmosphere, and a cool place to get beer and eat fish. One meal here is enough. Sat at table for about 10 minutes (no exaggeration) before server finally came to table. When I finally got my food, my burger was rare (ordered well done) so only ate French fries. No server came by to check on us so by the time I could say my food was wrong, my friend was finished eating her entire meal. Only good things were the French fries were good and the manager took my burger meal off the check. However, will not go back to eat there again. read more

This resturant has went downhill. The food quality isn't as good as it once was. I've gotten the Tico Pico bowl here and it was cold when I recieved it and tasted horrible. You could tell that they slapped it together really quickly and didn't care to prepare it well. I'm very disappointed in this establishment. I love the long doggers in Indialantic. This place really nails it. They are not trying to be Viera bougie. They environment and layout is on point. They somehow nabbed up all the hot chicks from the area because you won't find them at slow and low lol. This place just hits on all cylinders. When we went in to get a seat. The waitress says how many. We said 5. She seats us at a booth that fits 4 people. We told her. We're not going to be comfortable sitting here. She says unfortunately we can't move you. I said we're not going to fit in here when our last person gets here. Than she says. Did you tell us you had 5 people. Duh! Of course we did. That's the first thing they asked. They wrote our name down.. Than they seat 3 people in a six seat booth. I was happy with the waitresses. So she decided moved us to a bigger booth. Than they ignored us. When they finally came. Than we ordered a pitcher of beer. Got our check. They charged us 14.95 for a pitcher of shock top. I have never paid that much for a pitcher of beer. Outrageous!! I still can't believe it. Bad service. Very unorganized. Very over priced. We will never go back there again.. read more
