Long Doggers is a go to place for good burgers and hot dogs and a nice laid back environment that is indicative of Brevard county. Even though hot dogs are the namesake of long doggers I personally like their burgers the most. They have some unique choices and my favorite on has a pineapple slice on it. Based on my experiences, on this last visit, we decided to stop going to this restaurant. Not sure what's up with their chicken wings. They were way too small compared to regular wings. We also ordered white rice and we think it's a total rip-off as they are selling it for almost $4 and my son's chunky is much bigger (6 mos old baby. No exaggeration see for yourself) than their cup of rice lol. Service we're okay. We've been waiting for her for us to pay but we don't know where she was and a nice lady(a different server) was able to help me pay. Not a fan of hot dogs but this place is awesome! Service was great and so was the food. The salad and coleslaw were very fresh. The hot dogs were delicious. I had the one with sauerkraut any husband had chili and coleslaw which is in the picture. The restaurant had a nice beachy feel even though it is on a main road. I highly recommend! read more

I used to go there twice a week to grab something to take to my spouse for lunch, I will never go there again. I got there a little early and the server told me after I paid that if another car came behind me to pull into a slot, which I did. Twenty five minutes later, still no food! I went to the window and was met with nothing but attitude and a server asking me was I sure I paid. By the time I did get my food, it was completely soggy and inedible. I tried calling to speak to the manager, but after 4 minutes of being on hold, he/she still could not be bothered to pick up the phone. First, I give them 5 stars just for our server being SO patient with my father. He probably drove that sweet girl crazy, but she was a champ! I have been coming to LD's for years, until I left Brevard and moved to Texas. I had been dying to come back and it was just as I remembered it. They do have an interesting draft beer selection though, I might suggest at least one more lighter beer, instead of all IPA's and reds, but I managed just fine! The food was great as always, but in normal LD's fashion, it's hit or miss how much wing sauce you get. We ended up ordering 3 extra sides for our 14 wings even though we ordered "wet". No biggie though! Tip: if you want the jerk, but don't want it dry, just ask for it wet and they'll make it happen! They did a great job with social distancing, and although the outside is dog friendly, they didn't bat an eye when we brought our service dog with us, in his vest, which we very much appreciated! My only complaint, I just wish they would have let us know they were doing a shift change so we could have closed out with our server though, she spent so much time with us while we watched the race and had some beers, I felt bad that she didn't get the majority of the bill! read more

This is a popular restaurant, the night we went the place was packed and had a line waiting to get in. I guess I'm just spoiled by the better hot dog places I've been to, but I didn't like much of our dinner here. I had a hot dog with chili, bacon, onions, and cheese, ( what's not to like ). Somehow the bun was stale, the chili bad and cold, the onions too strong, but the bacon was good. It came with waffle fries that were average (not chick fil a). This place has been steadily declining over the past 6 months. The original crew that opened this location has largely left and the current crop of servers expects big tips without any of the service. The recent departure of one manager in particular has had a large effect. The food is 2-3 stars. Perfectly safe to eat but nothing special. And forget about getting a particular game on the tv, the servers will just ignore your request or say that they are too busy. For a much better Longdogger experience try Satellite Beach. read more

Stopped by on Veterans Day with my wife. (I am a Navy Veteran.) We are Viera location regulars, and frequently bring family and friends. We come for the cold drafts and the delicious Key Lime Pie. On several occasions, however, we left unimpressed and frankly offended. This particular night, I decided to bring my daughter for Veteran's Day for the free platter. We could hear chatter and noise through the kitchen, which is expected for such a busy location. What was unexpected, however, was the loud conversation involving drugs my daughter and I were subjected to. Two young ladies, who appeared to be more servers, were discussing the "wonders of Adderall", while appearing to also be taking the drug in front of customers during work hours. Needless to say, we left with a bad taste in our mouths. This location has certainly changed, and until I am certain that corrections have been made, I will not be returning. read more

Such a cute and fun little place!! I'm not even a big hot dog fan but honestly these are some really great dogs! I had the Patty Melt dog and it was phenomenal. My party also enjoyed the chili dog- bonus for the little spicy zing in the chili, and the Reuben dog, by grandmothers favorite. Oh my gosh- I certainly didn't forget- their hand dipped onion rings are ah-maaaa-zing. They're honestly probably some of the best onion rings I have ever had. They're hand dipped in a tempura-type batter and crispy and crunch and cooked PERFECTLY. I couldn't stop eating them because they were so good and Andes up getting stuffed. It is ultimately our fault for not checking our order every single time at the drive thru, but it has honestly become a joke once the food arrives at the house..."what did they forget now". My advice, eat there. You can at least complain about an item without getting all the way back home and discovering that you've paid for food you didn't receive. Just moved to Viera and made a Takeout Order from this Long Dogger's. The food, service and speed were excellent. Got the fish of the day and the portions were generous, the sides complimented the food well, and the taste was great. I highly recommend the fish dip and the salted caramel cheesecake.
