One of the best local spots to get a delicious bagel anytime!!! My go-to here is the egg bagel with bacon egg and cheese. I always love to get it toasted. You come up to the counter and say your order. Then you wait for the guy you ordered from to prepare your order. Today I had a pretty bulk order of about 4 bagels (all toasted) and wanted to try out the "lunch flat" specials. I picked the bacon chicken ranch one and the korean braised rib one. They probably are the ones that made the wait the longest because they turned out looking AMAZING!! Everything was delicious and filling. I love this spot so much! PS Had to remind about my gf's nut allergy and the staff said there's seeds everywhere but will do his best to keep things clean.. I've been coming here on and off since I was in middle school! It used to be my goto bagel cafe! They have tons of menu options, their food taste fresh, and friendly staff! It's a little step up from your typical deli. Prices are pretty fair also, not too expensive! The only issues I have with this place which stopped me from really going there was the wait times, especially if it's crowded.The place is not that spacious so when there's a lot of people coming in, then it can start to feel really crammed. So if you decide to order from them, I recommend you order online first, that way you can just pick it up and go! But overall, it's a great place! read more

I called to place an order the day before the busiest day of the year for a bagel store - break fast after Yom Kippur. I didn't even have to plead with them to accept an order of a bagel platter with all the goodies for 10-12 guests. It was ready for pickup on time and everything was not only delicious but there was enough food for 20! This bagel shop is open 24 hours! You heard me, TWENTY FOUR HOURS. But you don't just come here because it's convenient, you come here because it's delicious. Every time we take a trip up to Long Island, we come to this cafe at least twice a visit. There is usually a line, an example of how popular it is. But they run pretty efficiently, so you don't have to wait long. The variety of food items is unheard of, so you can get any type of bagel, spread, or salad you're looking for. I'm the mood for a good quality, New York bagel? Look no further. Looking for a tasty variety of coffee flavors? Look no further. The vegetable cream cheese (my personal favorite) has huge chunks of colorful and crunchy vegetables. Slap some of that on literally any of their bagels and I'm a happy girl. My only qualm here is that when buying bagels by the dozen it's a true dozen, not a baker's dozen. The prices are reasonable enough though, so that certainly doesn't stop me from stuffing these bagels into my carry on and taking them home to Florida. read more

I used to be a regular at the LIBC in Bellmore and always loved it. The bagels are definitely good (a tad small for my liking but definitely quality). On a Sunday at 1:30pm the line was out the door and man was it slow. Like...REALLY slow. So slow that a few people on line ended up leaving. But as they say, good things are worth the wait so....... Anyway, I had an egg everything with eggs, extra bacon, and bacon garlic cheddar cream cheese. Definitely good. Also had the taco chicken salad and tried some macaroni salad. Hubz had the jalapeño tuna on his bagel and he was a fan. None of this was cheap FYI. With drinks I spent like $40 on everything. Aside from slow service, LIBC is definitely a solid spot. read more

TWO DAY OLD MINI BAGEL CONSUMED IN JERSEY REVIEW: first time having mini bagels from "two four" (as is the colloquial name for this bagels & more venue). They were lovingly transported by my beautiful & LI-native girlfriend to our overpriced apartment in Northern Burlington County, NJ- aka "somewhere in Jersey" to provincial LI'er's. Never understood the patronization of the Garden State by Nassau & Suffolk denizens, whose insane property taxes, congestion, & political graft have us beat by a mile, plus we don't need to cross multiple bridges and pay $1000 in MTA tolls to access "real America." To show some Jersey manners: pardon my digression! One thing people of the island of Long are VERY proud of is their bagels. It's one of their justifications for their unique brand of "Island life," one that isn't found on HGTV on Sunday evenings. The bagels from 24 are good. Like pizza, this is a highly subjective matter. Rest assured these round-shaped calorie and carb-laden vehicles for dairy and fish have a nice chew, fluffy density and flavor that you'll be glad to eat more of. It's even better when you don't have to physically stand "on line" for 20+ minutes and endure their needlessly rushed service without a smile! Bagels were wrapped in a damp paper towel and thrown in the microwave for 25 seconds or so to bring back to life. Mine was consumed untoasted with a schmear of temptee on top. read more

That place is a staple in the Oceanside community and surrounding neighborhoods and is one of the last 24 hour places in the area. I walk in with a limp and I ask the girl if we can just sit and eat real quick in their dining room since they no longer have the chairs right in front. She points to the sign asking me if I can read where is says closed from ?-5am. I am more than twice her age and have been going to that establishment before she was a thought. As a first timer here and a complete outsider, I was impressed. I'm a little snobby about bagels even though being from Philly I have zero right to be. I will say these are in the upper echelon of bagels that I've had in my life. Mine was a little chewy at first. Maybe slightly too chewy. This has been a staple of Oceanside for many, many years. Also known as 2-4, it's nice to know that you can come in and get some food any time of the day. My breakfast go tos are plain bagel with veggie cream cheese, toasted. 5/5 easily. When I'm not in the mood for a bagel, I'd get a BEC (bacon egg & cheese) on a croissant, toasted. 4/5, sometimes it's a little messy when wrapped up. Iced coffee is also good. For lunch/dinner, I always get the bubbalicious on a roll. Chicken cutlets are always great, bacon, melted cheese and that spicy bbq sauce is icing on the cake. The only downside is the long waits during busy hours. They usually have plenty of workers so the line moves quick, but slow very once in a while. read more

But today was the final hoorah. I am born and raised Long Islander (Freeport/West Hempstead) who has lived in California for close to 20 years. I have always loved the bagels here, dating back to my youth when it was "24 Hour Bagel". Long Islanders are beyond spoiled when it comes to bagels and LIBC is among the best, if not THE best. But I really want to praise LIBC's delivery service, which was beyond phenomenal. I wanted to surprise my mom with a delivery of bagels, schmear, tuna salad, cookies, etc. for her birthday and the initial delivery was right on time. My mom called to thank me and said, "This is great, but where are the bagels?" It turns out that I forgot to include the most important detail in my order! I quickly placed another online order for a dozen bagels, expecting that they would be delivered in a few hours (Oceanside to WH is close, but not *that* close). Lo and behold, my mom confirmed that she received the bagels in less than an hour and they were still warm! I ordered a turkey sandwich with everything on it and was charged $1 for cheese $1 dollar for tomatoes .50c for salt and pepper and $1 for lettuce it was very strange.
