I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for this one. I am practically a regular. All the guys & gal, recognize me when I enter, and I them. They have really good eats over all. Have never been utterly disappointed. They make the best breakfast (egg) wraps. Seriously, don't even try to order something like that at the Mineola Bagel place a few blocks east of them. Theirs tastes like farts. Yep, no joke. The Long Island Gourmet Deli does it right. They have tons of processed snacks if you're craving something less healthy. Their prices are slightly higher than some of the other local delis, but that makes up for the greater quality you're receiving. Try their salad combinations (they have a small menu and a plaque up on the wall with available shenanigans), or make your own salad! Their teriyaki salmon is delish. They have amazing spinach patties. Thier David's Cookies are yummy too! (sometimes you can snag them off of the oven tray when they're cooling before they get placed on the shelves). They have a small nook with tables and chairs for when you have the time or need the time away from the office to eat your eats. They have more than a few refrigerators so if you want a certain type of drink, they probably have it.... and even if they do not.... if you suggest it, they will add it to their inventory if you think you'll be frequenting more often. They have weird hours, which is why I gave it four stars. I feel like with so much variety they could stay open later. Usually during the week they close at 3:30pm?? I always mix up the times. Some times my lunch time doesn't start till right when they close, and I head over there and then, I have to turn around and head somewhere else. If I do get there right before they close, though, then they let me stay and eat, even though it may be in the dark. One has to respect that they are getting ready to leave for the day. I also deducted a star because sometimes they're cleaning when others are eating. (aka: spreading gross dust onto your eats). I've never had a horrible experience, and if one does, I'm sure they'd take back whatever was given and get you something else if you didn't like it. Happy eats!

Long Island Gourmet just went above and beyond from start to finish. They catered my cousins graduation party and I swear half the party had to be rolled out by the end. There truly was something for everyone. From the shellfish tower of lobster tails, oysters and shrimp to mini quesadillas, beautifully displayed roasted vegetables, and who could forget their famous croquettes- with that cilantro sauce on the side- sorry I'm getting hungry again just thinking about them. What can I say? IT WAS ALL AMAZING! Also, staff was so friendly. An absolute delight to be around. Altogether a 10/10. I have to have them for my next party.

When I hear the word "Gourmet" I think quality food and a taste that can only be described as homemade. But coming to "Long Island Gourmet" they lowered my expectations in what that word means. I came to the curbside parking and walked in. I was impressed with how clean the place was and loved the organization. It was a slow day so I shot the breeze with a nice gentleman behind the counter. I placed my order and found the food to be a bit pricy, also for the "hungry man" the cheese wasn't included, there was a extra charge for that. Hold on!!! Stop the review, where on this planet known as Earth does a "hungry man" come without cheese? (Did I mention I love cheese) back to the review. The guy making my food wasn't so nice, I tried asking for some mayo but didn't feel he cared what I wanted. I'm glad I didn't because maybe there was a extra charge for that, but I never found out because the cook wasn't pleasant enough to talk to. I got my meal and went to the safety of my car to eat. I figured I can at least enjoy my sandwich, right? It's like this I try to give my honest opinion and be true about the food. With that being said I absolutely did not enjoy the sandwich. The bacon was flavorless, how can that be? The sausage was bland, so it didn't help. Plus they charged for cheese! Even if the food was delicious, the fact that they don't honor the structure of a hungry man tipped the review wrong. I have them two stars because it was clean and the gentleman at the register was nice. But that's not enough to get me to get another sandwich there. It's sad because I really wanted to like the place. I guess it's safe to say you never get in the way of a man and his cheese.

As usual, excellent service, great food.
Long Island Gourmet catered the food for my son's 2nd Birthday Party.

The ice cream selection is great, but it is more focused on popsicles compared to the HMart in Jericho which has a wide range of unique Asian-inspired ice cream flavors. The crowd was pretty much the same as I remembered, mostly an older crowd in their 70s. They still have a great lunch menu, but I decided to stay away from the pasta and go with a safer choice with the steak quesadillas. For $18, they also come with French fries, which I thought was a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised! Everything tasted great, the steak quesadillas were flavorful, and I really enjoyed my lunch. We were promptly seated and the wine and cocktail selection is good. The wine pours were a little meager but the wine pretty good. The pesto knots they serve for the free bread were great! My husband also loved how they offered us one more each for free without his asking to ask. We split the salmon and Black Sea bass. I loved the salmon sauce, how well the salmon was cooked, and the gnocchi it came with. The Black Sea bass wasn't as good in my opinion. The pesto sauce was bland and could do with being more flavorful like the free knots. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were good. For dessert we split the apple crumble which was quite good. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance really nice. We enjoyed our date night a lot there and the we plan to go back and try their happy hour especially since we live nearby and drive by there all the time. Recommend!

I was not familiar with Venchi and found out through staff that they have stores located in Manhattan too and been around for quite some time. How can I refuse getting some gelato. I got to sample some pistachio and got one scoop in a cup without any sprinkles, and it was creamy and dreamy. Brings back fond memories of trip to Sicily where we had gelato twice a day. I sure got my sugar fix for the rest of the afternoon to shop. Will definitely check out the other Venchi stores in the city.

5/5 - Venchi at Roosevelt Field Is a Sweet Slice of Italy You Shouldn't Miss…read more If you're walking through Roosevelt Field Mall and looking for something special--skip the usual food court treats and make your way to Venchi. My wife and I stopped by on a whim, and honestly, it turned into the highlight of our day. This place is more than just a gelato shop--it's a full-on experience for anyone who loves quality chocolate, real Italian gelato, and beautiful presentation. From the moment you walk up to the counter, you're greeted by that incredible aroma of cocoa and roasted hazelnuts. The store is sleek and elegant with golden details and walls stacked high with colorful boxes of chocolate. It immediately sets the tone: this is not your average dessert stop. We both went straight for the gelato, and wow--it was on another level. I ordered the hazelnut (nocciolato) and Cremino, and my wife had pistachio with dark chocolate sorbet. The flavors were unbelievably rich and creamy, made with real, high-quality ingredients you can actually taste. The hazelnut was smooth and nutty with that authentic Italian flavor, while the Cremino had a velvety chocolate-hazelnut swirl that melted in your mouth. The pistachio had just the right balance of sweet and salty, and the dark chocolate sorbet was deep, bold, and not overly sugary--perfect for chocolate lovers. One of the best touches? You get a piece of Venchi's signature chocolate on top of your cone or cup, which feels like a small luxury. We also picked up a small box of their chocolate truffles to go--and we've been slowly savoring them at home. Every bite is rich, indulgent, and tastes like something you'd find in a boutique in Rome or Milan. The staff was friendly, patient, and happy to offer samples (which helped a lot since the flavor list is full of tempting choices). You can tell they actually enjoy working there and take pride in the quality of what they're serving. Yes, it's a bit pricier than your average ice cream shop--but it's totally worth it. You're getting authentic Italian gelato and handcrafted chocolate that's miles ahead of anything else in the mall. If you're shopping at Roosevelt Field and want a sweet break that feels a little elevated, Venchi is a must. It's perfect for date day, a treat with the kids, or even a little solo indulgence. We'll definitely be back--and next time, we're trying the chocolate fountain!
