We'd already eaten quite a bit that day, so we just ordered four Chicago Gulf Shrimp ("seasoned with garlic"). They were ready about 10 minutes later and sure looked different from any fried shrimp I'd ever had. And my first bite told me they were also better than any fried shrimp I'd ever had. I can't really even describe them except to say they were mind blowing and so, so flavorful. They're also perfectly fried and irresistibly crisp, and the shrimp inside is the perfect texture and taste. I wish we had fried shrimp even remotely this good back home in Toronto. The poached prawns were also tasty and refreshing, and the bulgogi steak was definitely our favorite dish with excellent korean flavors and tender juicy pieces of steak. What cinched the deal is that they offer a drive-up option--which they have been doing since long before the pandemic--so that made it especially easy and I didn't have to sit in a room full of fishy smells. The ordering process is that you call starting at 4 pm and place your order, then when you arrive at the church there's "drive-through" parking in the back at which you wait while someone brings your order. Since they've had practice it's pretty efficient. It's a very popular event (the parking lots for those eating at the church were full) but it was well-priced and the food was good, based upon my SO and kid's reaction. Worth a visit and a return.
