Turns out that all of the food they served was still alive, all I wanted was just a couple tuna fish for the boys me and the ball and chain ( wife lol). Stopped in for dinner and the fish is just as I remembered it from long ago. It was really tasty along with the Cole slaw. The waffle fries were not good-cold and hard. The hush puppies were not hot, but I still liked them. My husband's shrimp was way over cooked and extremely chewy. He was not pleased. The service was lacking a sense of urgency. I was standing at the counter and a worker just looked at me and did not even acknowledge me. When I did get my order taken, the girl was rude and acted as if I was bothering her. Brand new LJS, rebuilt in prior location after a devastating fire in Feb 2022 was finally returned to Flint. A beautiful new location, and the lines have been so long awaiting the return of our favorite. My first chance since the grand opening to see the new store (new design) and great new crew. Tonights food was the best, service with a smile and food served hot, quick and delicious. Never less than 4-10 people in line inside, served quickly. No less than 6-10 cars in the drive-thru too. Seems Flint might want to rethink rebuilding the Pierson Rd. store too - demand for great LJS fish is HERE!! read more

Services is bad, food is not what it's advertised as. Went there a few times and was really disappointed. Services was just really stupid

We ordered the family box, which came with green beans, fries, hush puppies, and 8 pieces of fish for $30. There was nothing special about any of it. The fish portions were kind of small and dry. My mom said you could do better àt a local fish fry. read more

Sadly this establishment had a fire recently that burned it to the ground. My tears for the wonderful employees who lost their jobs that day. This crew was so proud of the product they prepared. I tried to place an order for 2 people. Simple. Right? Not for the employees at this location. After placing the order for 1 meal I was cut off from placing the ever so needed 2nd meal for myself. I was given a price and told to pull up. When I tried to say I wasn't finished no one would respond. When I reached the window I was told add ons were not permitted. I will never go to this location again. They don't deserve other people's hard-earned money to pay a bunch of rude non-listening workers. read more

I like deep fried food as much as anyone, but this is sometimes really greasy. I couldn't even stand to eat my fries last time. They were soaked in grease. I bet I would have had a heart attack if I had ate them. I love greasy fast food, but this was way too greasy to believe. The fish was good, but I think they've changed their recipe or cooking method. The batter is too gooey. There is too much batter. The dining area and bathrooms are clean and the service is good, but the food is getting greasier than it once was. I'm young and I think eating here very much would cause my heart to look like a 60 year old. read more

Went through the drive thru on a slow Sunday. Waited 10 mins for a 8 pieces Family deal. We were shorted a quarter of our order. Pieces we did get were over cooked. When I called to request a partial refund for our missing pieces (We live too far away to drive back), the phone was not answered until about 20 rings. At which point I was placed on hold & no one answered. This happened twice - so definitely intentional. Ridiculous to forget 2 pieces in an 8 piece order & horrible customer service to refuse to answer calls. read more

I see some reviews say it was greasy well if you order fried food it's a good chance it will be but for those not into it they do have oven baked meals so everyone can get their seafood fix .
