I went to lj at the beginning of June it was a late night stop. I went inside and felt like I waited a good 15 minutes before the girl that took my order and man came from the back. I even called from the hall area hello a few times and no one ever responded. I was about to leave when they both came up from the back. The girl was acting very awkward and the cook seemed to be in another word. Neither of them greeted me. The management my want to pay more attention to their employees. There is something wrong when you walk up to the door of a restaurant that states masks required, walk to the register to order and it again states masks required. We are wearing ours and the girl who's taking our order is as well. I look through the window to the two guys doing the food. One had his mask across his neck and the other none. This is cheap comfort food from my youth and when done right, it's a good meal. This location is my go to for fast beer battered fish. The staff here are always friendly, very polite, and they provide great service. During our visit tonight the restaurant was clean and did not smell of hot oil like some locations do. It took me over 30 minutes from the moment I got in the line (4 cars in front of me) to get my food. I come here b/c I love the fish with MALT Vinegar. I also love the hush puppies that always come with the Platter. Today, however, not only was the wait horrible, I had to wait with the window down for 10 minutes at the speaker in the pouring rain I was soaked, my car insides were soaked, and the lady said they were out of malt vinegar. Here is my problem, there is only ONE near me and that is in McKinney. Let me say that place by far is the most unprofessional food establishment that I frequent-to the point that I am researching for other fried seafood options. It is ridiculous. I stopped on Friday and Saturday (15th and 16th). On Friday, my order was larger because I was sharing with someone. I am further north and asked that they drop a fresh batch of fish. The guy in the window REFUSED, stating that it was fresh. I am looking around and there was no customer activity anywhere which suggested that maybe that wasn't so true. I should have drive off but I didn't, I wanted the fish. On Saturday, I stopped again and the same rude, unprofessional guy rushed me to the window; again it wasn't busy. And he is not the only one who is rude. I think that the prerequisite requires zero manners, poor diction and few people skills. Not only is this review going up, I plan to call the corporate office because when I made mention on Saturday, the other worker in near the window decided to laugh at me. The family came here last weekend since they were running a free fish and fries promotion. We got here at around 11:30 AM and the line was still pretty small. The employees were all really nice, the line moved fast and the food was very fresh tasting even though they were putting them up in advance. We got our food within a couple of minutes of ordering.
