Let me start by saying this is the first review of a service/repair place. Normally I would not find them worth reviewing but Long View RV is different. I have a 2012 Jayco Greyhawk NOT purchased from Long View RV. I needed a built in propane tank replaced. It started with Lisa Wood in parts. She took the stats and pics of my tank needing replacing and found it was going to be a special order due to change in recent tanks and it had to be manufactured new seeing it was discontinued. The price she found was not the cheapest but her working with Joe Mac (John Macdougald) made the difference acceptable. Lisa actually went above and beyond calling me through the 4 to 6 weeks it would take for the tank to be made advising me each stage the tank went though up to the time Long View received the tank. Next was Joe Mac who working with Lisa was able to schedule a date first thing in the morning. Joe Mac was very straight talking about "Murphy's Law" and how they were hoping to get us a one day turn around seeing we live full time in our RV. We were there as scheduled, Joe and staff were there as scheduled and they took our RV inside within 30 minutes to start working on it. Joe Mac assigned Steven Thompson to do the tank swap out. Now it was Steven Thompson's turn. He brought me inside to show me the new tank to ensure it was exactly as ordered through Lisa Wood and it was (a perfect match). Steven did the exchange with one MINOR complication where one of the mounting bolts kept turning and had to be held from the other end. This had to be done by cutting an opening in the floor linoleum and for Joe to hold the top while Steven removed the nut and then replace the loose bolt. Now this cutting the linoleum sounds bad but it was in a spot under a cabinet where it would not have been noticed. Yet Steven brought me in the RV, opened the cabinet and shown me the cut for the flap he had to open. Now the job was done so cleanly that when he glued it back down you could not find the cut without intensely looking for it. So in conclusion Long View RV now has a new patron that will use their services whenever we need any work done. This is because of the dedication shown from the staff we dealt with, the openness of work performed and the feeling of being in good hands with them doing the work. The selection of RVs is impressive, i would reco this place and staff to a friend. Bailey our salesperson was very helpful and if he didn't know something he would ask the question to his team. He made us feel confident in our purchase before and after the process. He was certainly not a typical pushy salesman and gave us time to think over our decision. We even decided to buy a different RV when we returned to make our purchase. Our orientation was ok but would request improvement. Our RV was not prepped ahead of time. The outdoor kitchen was filthy. The TV was not installed. The RV overall was not cleaned which delayed the process. We also said we would be prepping 2 trucks which was indicated on paperwork, yet the shop was not prepared to do so and had to make alternate arrangements. The remote control was not prepped. The RV was also missing the tire cover which apparently is being ordered. Not sure why this wasn't done prior to pick up. John was great and showed us all the ins and outs of the camper. He was very nice and helpful. He made recos for campsites to check out and advised us as to what was needed to purchase before we left. We are looking forward to our adventures and cant wait to be a part of this glamping community! read more

We had an exceptional buying experience dealing with the staff at Longview RV in Windsor Locks, CT. Although it took us numerous visits before we made our decision to buy. We are pleased with our purchase of a 2017 Class C SunSeeker. The staff who helped us from sales, finance, to the service department were all fabulous. They helped us feel secure, respected, and cared for... Barb was so professional and pleasing to deal with, Dave pushed through to help us get the RV we wanted, and Mike (great personality perfect for the service industry) did an amazing job explaining all the features of our RV and how to use them...and the guys in the service department (I think there were about 5 plus of them ready to respond to whatever tweaks or adjustments needed to be made before getting thumbs up for us to drive away). My husband and I can't say enough about Long View RV. We bought a brand new RV from them and they have been nothing but helpful and super professional with any issues that have come up. They have exceeded our expectations and I would not hesitate to buy another RV from them. Mike, Stephen, Matthew, Bob and Joe went above and beyond to make sure our rig was ready to go. We ended up having to stay overnight with our RV because we recently sold our house and are travelling the country in it. Right right from the start I knew we were going to buy a camper at Longview as we came into the building to talk to her sales rep nobody was pushing Tony introduced himself outside of the building and proceeded to take us in tell us talk to us and asked us what we wanted and what we didn't want right up until the time we met with John to take custody of our camper John took us through the camper explained everything we would need to know about running it and using it and right now in the store we've had great service no pushy people just very polite working with Deb to get the financial part everything most excellent we're very happy to have our new camper looking forward to come back for other things read more

The experience overall was great. We have been looking for a RV for quite a while. We almost picked up a Jayco Greyhawk but the financing came in to close to our comfort, so we passed on that one. However we explained to Barbara what we wanted after a little more homework on our part and a couple weeks later she called us to tell us about a unit coming in. We went out on saturday and it was everything we needed and wanted in a class A. It was an immaculate 03 Tiffen Allegro and with the paperwork Deb set up for us, USAA was able to finance exactly where we needed it. Longview personnel are knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They have a huge invetory and do not pressure you. We recommend them with no hesitation. We had no problem with the service, finance or sales departments. Thry ook their time with us and made sure we were in the right travel trailer for us. We looked at other dealers and Longview was superior. To tell you the truth, I don't think so much of yelp as it keeps asking for more information you give. This is all I plan on writing. Picked up our 2023 Thor ACE today. Jason and PH were the ones that prepped our unit and fixed the two minor glitzes that popped up. ( actually would not let us leave until they figured it out). Ph was the mechanic I doubted him MacGyver. Very polite and professional. Jason was the one who taught us all we needed to know about our unit and was also patient with all our questions. Our salesman Doug was great! Showed us several models and worked really hard to get us what we wanted, at the price that suited all concerned. Would I recommend Long View? In a heart beat! read more

I recently purchased an East to West camper and have to say that is he service was over and beyond amazing. My salesman Brian was very helpful and got back to me quickly. I had questions about the camper and he even had the regional rep call me back the same day and that I thought was so good. The other places around me took 2 weeks to follow up on my questions. Then when it came time to pick up the camper Tony was very thorough with it I was really impressed. I have no complaints to make and would recommend this place to everyone. These guys are first class. They treated us like we were family. Bought a 30kqbss wildwood which we got a great deal on. Rem was our point man and orchestrated the whole thing like a symphony. John did a great demo and left no questions unanswered. Todd delivered the camper to our site and made it look easy (it wasn't!). We found one very nominal and unimportant issue with our camper after delivery and they came to our site and fixed it faster than A NASCAR pit crew. We just bought a Forest River Wildwood 20 footer travel trailer. Perfect for our needs as empty nesters! It is really nicely appointed w/ everything we need and the layout could not be better. I have had trailers from 18 footers to 30 footers going back almost 30 years and I must say that this was a great choice for us. Kudos go to the service department for a really great demo when we picked it up. Great job guys! Tows great at less than 3000 lbs dry weight behind my 4.2L Ford F150...even up steep grades. read more

Overall, incredibly happy with our purchase from here! We were looking specifically for an Rpod and Long View had almost every version in stock--the only relatively close RV store that we could find with multiple versions. There was slight miscommunication/confusion with the paperwork that we required to pick the vehicle up, but it was corrected by the staff and we had no issues. We are in the process of trading in our 7 year old 5th wheel for a new 2016 model. The sales person, Dave, was very good and informative. We have completed the purchase and were in James Montana's hands this afternoon to take us thru the new trailer. He explained everything very well and professionally. We rented a 32 foot RV this summer for 10 days when someone from Canada driving another RV hit us in the back while we were parked at a rest stop. The damage was several thousand dollars but Long View took care of it through the supplemental insurance we bought. We even got our security deposit back after some time.
