Clubhouse Sandwich breakfast Bacon Hash Burrito
    Malia H.

I've been coming here on and off for a while now, and I'll admit it's a bit inconspicuous from the outside. Once you step in, though, it has a really nice, welcoming vibe. You're greeted by a café-style counter with a glass pastry case, and the space immediately feels warm and inviting. They have a solid menu and roast their own coffee, which is always a win. You can even see into the warehouse area where they store the coffee, which adds a cool behind-the-scenes touch. They serve breakfast and lunch until 2 p.m., then close for the day. We stopped in for a late brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito and the clubhouse sandwich on sourdough. I also got a dirty chai, which was seriously amazing rich, cozy, and perfectly balanced. There's a self-serve station for water and black coffee or tea with all the fixings, which I always appreciate. The food was fresh and thoughtfully done. I loved that the sandwich came with a salad instead of the usual side, and the clubhouse was hearty without feeling heavy. The breakfast burrito was fully loaded, with a generous amount of bacon and more than just a pile of eggs everything felt balanced and filling. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd absolutely come back for either dish again. Consistently good food, great coffee, and an easygoing vibe make this spot a solid go-to.

Longbottom Coffeehouse: Peppermint Mocha with soy milk

Longbottom Coffee isn't a place for vegans. You can get a coffee here with dairy alternatives, but that's about it. Today I got a peppermint mocha with soy. I asked what vegan food items they had. I was told I could get a hash without eggs or cheese. I couldn't even get a sandwich because the bread is made with egg. I know a couple people that aren't vegan but allergic to egg. If they ate a sandwich here and unaware that egg is in bread, they would end up getting sick. Longbottom is popular and there were a lot of people that were dining inside and out. I snagged a table in the back corner. There was a mix of chairs and I was happy that there was a padded chair where I sat. I took my Kindle to read. Because of the popularity of this coffee shop, the noise level was high. Loud kids at neighboring table. I think it's safe to say that I won't be back.

Our new fave brunch spot! Tucked away in the business parks area in Hillsboro -- this place is so good and always PACKED, even on a weekday. Eliminating seed oils and cooking with EVOO was already enough of a pull for me, but the food and drinks and pastries are actually THAT good. The West Coast Hash 10000% lives up to the hype. It's easy to see why it's one of their top dishes, and is now currently my fave one. Coffee is great. My husband's breakfast sandwich was great. And their pastries were also it's such a great family friendly place. And we've met other families who are regulars here! I can def see why.

JUST might be my favorite coffee shop ever. They offer so much drink, breakfast, and brunch options, it was crazy. Interior and vibe was cozy, even though the place was huge! You wouldn't know from the outside, though. The servers were generally kind.

Todays visit was just okay. Unfortunately, our first encounter set a negative tone to our breakfast. We were waiting at a register for a few minutes watching around 5-6 young ladies standing about behind the counter, no one even acknowledging our presence. When one finally gave in and moved forward, she came across completely put out and somewhat depressed. No smile and no pleasantries to be found during the entire exchange. The food experience was better than the human one though. The food came out quite fast and was delivered to our table with at least a small grin, portions large & food hot and tasty. The dining area was pretty busy this morning and was extremely loud. Good food, good coffee, and quick delivery. They just need to work on customer service, or at least train employees to pretend they're happy to be there. :)

Longbottom Coffee & Tea is located in an industrial area so it should kind of a hidden gem. You can look in thru windows in the dining area to see the coffee beans being processed and packaged. They serve comfort foods! Nothing super fancy but you'll have to grab a take out box for your leftovers. It is order your food, find a table, food is brought to you by very nice staff folks. You bus your table when your done. The place seems to be crowded all morning long, folks eating in, folks grabbing munchies to go. Its great self serve coffee and good food for the body! Great place!

Today we enjoyed a fantastic lunch and learn session at Longbottom in Hillsboro. The food was super yummy and what a great selection of items for breakfast and lunch. They offer tea, coffee, smoothies and energy drinks. I enjoyed the chicken salad croissant with a Caesar side salad and peach iced tea. My colleague enjoyed a veggie omelette with bacon and boy that thing was loaded with stuff. Best part is they serve breakfast all day! I added an iced Mexican Mocha before we were leaving for the road. Can't wait to enjoy another item next visit.

Stopped in here on our way to seaside based on the reviews and we were so happy we did. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the service was quick and everything was delicious. The restaurant is pretty big, which is great because it was packed the whole time (on a Wednesday morning). The coffee was super good and the food was so flavorful. Everything we had was great, and we would definitely go back if we were in the area again. Not far from Portland (20 minute drive), but a great little spot to get a good meal and delicious coffee.

This was one of my favorite spots to restock on coffee. They have pretty good food, and the coffee is great. But wow, inflation! Part of the reason I would go out of my way to go here was that the coffee was so affordable. I just thought it was a perk of living local (or close by). But no longer. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by. I still recommend others to check them out if you haven't already.

Food came out fast and hot. Sandwhich was delicious, but the potatoes were just okay. The flavor was nice, but the texture was very soft

This review is specifically about the coffee at this spot. I initially thought they were known for their coffee, so we had lunch elsewhere and then came here. I ordered the lavender latte, which turned out to be way too sweet for my taste, and the coffee itself was just okay--a bit bland. However, their brunch menu caught my eye with their huge selection of food. I'll definitely be back to try their brunch. The breakfast burritos looked particularly enticing, even though I was already full. I'll update this review after trying their food.

It was a very busy place, but I can see why. The food was really good. Waffles, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and eggs Benedict were all great.

Do they have options for a veggie burrito or can we ask them no meat burritos?

I would call them before visiting to see if they can have a meat free option.

The muffin I found was not too good; on par with local supermarket or airport or convenience store baked goods. Also taking points off for only having 1 person running the shop shortly after I arrived (5:30/6pm), which caused long waits for everyone waiting at the empty cash register. I want to give this place 10/10 but I couldn't even get my muffin for a long while, because the poor barista was making sandwiches for people and running baked goods to people by herself. Others stopped waiting to order at the register but I was pretty hungry. The thing is there were two great staff when I arrived but they left probably due to a shift change. I understand labor is hard to find and keep and expensive, but afternoon hours is what makes this company unique and well known and draws traffic. It's a shame the shop was short staffed just as it got busy/became afternoon. One of the bathrooms didn't have anymore soap but I didn't bother the barista because she was getting lots of orders and trying to fulfill them. I hope the owners monitor traffic better, because this turned my 10/10 to a 6/10. The barista Autumn was super helpful and I'm adding back a couple points to 8/10. She recommended the Dad's Delight, which was a much better product than the muffin. On the bright side, you'll find a crazy amount of seating and epic lighting from nearly 360° of full wall windows with a peaceful view of Orenco Station and the passersby. The internet is fast and the shop is comfortable and great as far as facilities go. I'm glad I happened to be in the neighborhood to recall this spot. It can definitely improve the operation, but regardless it's a good work and meetup spot to enjoy some beverages and perhaps a snack.

I have been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch place close by but so far no luck there. I am still recovering from renal failure so my mobility is severely limited. I travel mostly at the pleasure of the Veterans Transportation Service or Trimet Lyft. Today's Dr appointment finished up sooner than expected so I had some time to kill before the van returned to take me home. So I fired up my tablet and took a look on Yelp to see if there was anything of interest close by. Enter Insomnia Coffee. Lots of positive reviews. Right around the corner. So... off I go. I an a US Navy brownwater sailor. We drink coffee that tastes like coffee. No additives. None. Not even cream or (gasp) sugar. So when I told the barista [HA! The person who pours coffee into a cup] that i wanted a cup of coffee black I got this sort of deer in the headlights look. What? ...I'm sure she was thinking... no Madagascar cinnamon? no foaming goop? no stale crouton crumbs? no pumpkin pie spice? Ummmm seriously? People want their coffee to taste like pumpkin? Yikes. No Miss... just a cuppa Joe. Just like my first heart throb, Anna Mae Bullock....strong and black. And I have to say, insomnia delivered. Not a bad cup of coffee at all. Although I didn't really want to hang out there since it appeared that I had zero in common with anyone I saw there... hogging the comfortable looking chairs. So I had it in a paper cup, to go. Now I have a "thing" about drinking coffee from a large, ceramic mug.... I loathe tasting paper in my coffee and yes I can tell it's in a paper cup even blindfolded. but I digress. They did have a whole display area of decadent looking pastries and not the tiny, overpriced, bogus looking stuff you see at Starbucks. Not that i would ever go into a Starbucks even to use the rest room. They had several pies that made my mouth water and some gooey breakfast glazed things that would have seriously spiked my glucose. so I reluctantly passed. Perhaps next time :)
