We were here on a Sunday for brunch and as vegetarians ordered the following. Avocado toast : 3/5. The bread was such a thick slice , and not appetizing to the eye at all. Was okay to taste. Pancakes : 3/5. We got the buttermilk pancakes with blueberry, strawberry and bananas. They sprinkled a few at the top and stuffed the rest in the batter. Wasn't a fan of that. I was really looking forward to Slappy Cakes but it did not live up to the hype. They are extremely stingy on toppings. I ordered the Elvis pancakes and I didn't even receive half of a banana. If you make your own pancakes it's $10 for a 8 oz bottle of batter (which only made 4 small pancakes) it's $3 or $4 for each topping you order and it's a small serving. The iced coffee was no good, I couldn't even drink half of it. My 2 year old liked it, though. I wouldn't return to this place if I visit Maui again. Rice was good, as well as the gravy. Green onions gave it some freshness and color. The egg scramble was basic, and honestly, it's hard to mess up. The bread didn't seem to be toasted, but if it was...it was so light that one couldn't tell. The pancakes were decent, yet nothing to write home about. Lemon curd was ok, too. We were really excited about going here and ended up disappointed. We came in for breakfast early morning at 7am and ordered a dragonfruit chia bowl, grand slap, and mushroom scramble. The dragonfruit chia bowl was pretty good, just the ratio of the actual dragonfruit (puree) and chia pudding was about a spoonful of each in comparison to the actual fresh fruit. It was really off. The grand slap was basic with overcooked scrambled eggs, plain potatoes that tasted frozen from a bag, and dry toast. It didn't come with butter or jelly so we asked for some. The pancake was okay. We did ask if there was another kind of syrup available other than the maple syrup that was there at the table. Our server offered us coconut syrup which was brought out ice cold. On top of that there was a $3 charge for it which the server didn't mention and I didn't see it listed on the menu. The mushroom scramble was also dry and plain. I don't order eggs Benedict often but thought it was very good. I'm a passion fruit fanatic so I appreciated the hint of flavor in the sauce. The micro greens on top were a nice touch too. And you can't go wrong with a side of crispy potatoes, though they were pretty basic and could have used some seasoning. The alcoholic drinks were tempting, but we went with water, which our waiter was great about refilling.
