Aloha Mixed Plate is a solid choice if you're looking for a classic Hawaii style plate lunch. I got the Aloha Mixed Plate which comes with shoyu chicken, teriyaki ribeye, fried fish, rice and mac salad. The shoyu chicken was juicy and flavorful, cooked really well and probably my favorite of the three meats. The fish was fresh with a light crispy batter, and the housemade tartar sauce paired well with it. The teriyaki ribeye was a little salty for me but still had good flavor. At around $25 it's definitely a bit pricey for a plate lunch, but considering how much you get and the variety on one plate, it's not outrageous. Overall a good meal and somewhere I'd gladly come back to.

The casual atmosphere is exactly what you want on vacation--grab a table just steps from the beach, watch the waves roll in, and if you time it right, you'll be treated to one of Maui's spectacular sunsets. It's the kind of place where you can kick back, slow down, and enjoy the island. The food was fantastic. The fresh mahi mahi and swordfish were perfectly prepared, and the Hawaiian classics didn't disappoint. The teriyaki chicken was tender and flavorful, the lau lau was rich and authentic, and the kalua pig was smoky, juicy, and delicious. Best of all, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for a family dinner without breaking the bank. Great food, incredible views, and true aloha spirit--we'll definitely be back!
Great food! The first time I tried the teriyaki beef which was good. The second time I tried the chow funn noodles which were to die for!!! Would highly recommend. Wait times are not too bad but I'd suggest making a reservation if you're coming on the weekend for dinner. Lots of parking available in front.
We were tired of resort food and since theres no more downtown Lahaina, this little area was popping. Theres like a mall across the street with food trucks. But we wanted a mixed plate and saw the reviews. We ordered to go and got the aloha mixed plate, which came with shoyu chicken, teriyaki rib eye and fresh fish, and also got their mochiko chicken. The mochiko chicken was like chicken kaarage, it was good. The mixed plate was mixed in my opinion. The fish was bland, but the chicken and beef were good. I could have gone without the fish. If you ate at the restaurant, it looks like it had a nice view!
Avoid having to deal with the rude wait staff We were at baby beach about five minutes away and decided we would order some plates for a late lunch. We came by to pick them up, but then when we saw there was tons of available seating in a quaint and pleasant shaded area with a nice view, we asked the host if we could eat our meal in their outdoor dining area. The older gentleman host at the front indicated that it was fine. But upon sitting down, the wait staff treated us as if we violated some sacred law. One server eventually walked over and told us that they usually don't allow patrons who order to-go to sit at a table and eat. Are you kidding me? We literally just bought your food and asked the host if we could eat at a table. And now you're going to give us attitude for eating YOUR food in YOUR dining room?! Either re-train your host or tell your wait staff to treat your patrons with some courtesy. Ideally both! But please don't ruin our meal by rudely informing us we were breaking some policy. Your wait staff left our family of five with a pretty crappy taste in our mouths. And in case you're wondering, we left a 20% tip for the rude waitress who did nothing but bring us water with a large serving of attitude.
This is hands down the best dinner we've had in Maui! Our waiter, Brandon, went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect Hawaiian dining experience. He recommended an amazing combination of the Ali'i and Kalbi plates, and the cocktails were just as delicious as the food. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Maui!
I came early dinner time and was the perfect time to come because it was not that busy. They have full out door seating so on humid days can feel a little warm but was not super bothered by it. The furikake garlic fries were AMAZING! I LOVED the crunch they had where you could tell it was fresh and hot from the fryer. If you love a well done fry these are the fries for you! Even the soggier ones (which there weren't many) were so tasty! They had the perfect garlic butter flavor. The aloha mixed plate was also delicious but there was nothing that stood out to me from other plates I've had. The chicken and beef were good but the fish was a little over done for my liking. The Mac salad was great! Which can be hard to do but was a delicious bite. Personally the reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because of the service I received. It wasn't horrible but i felt as though my waitress didn't provide me with knowledge of the menu. I wasn't informed of the specials and was not informed of the fish of the day until I had asked about it since it was included in the plate. Yet I heard her mention to another table of the specials of the day. I also felt a little uncomfortable when it came to paying because, like many other places they had the portable card reader, when she brought the card reader to me the tip was already pre checked AND she didn't allow me to hold the reader to adjust tip if I wanted to, which I had. It made it an uncomfortable situation where she watched me keep the tip there and pay for service that didn't deserve a 22% tip.
Well this one is between 3 and 4 stars restaurant. Really want to like it but the loco moco is really mid, the gravy is average and the fried rice I added isn't really fired rice. Fried noodles is ok but nothing special. The kalbi is decent. Upside down pineapple cake is pretty good. Overall, kinda disappointing

Also the mochiko chicken was tasty but a little chewy & dry. With a little soy sauce it was delicious. Friendly service, laid back vibes.
Aloha Mixed Plate is a Lahaina institution! It's been here for as long as I can remember. The new location is a great improvement. And I like the ability to make reservations. Attentive service. Extra happy to get a table as close to the water as possible. Adding an extra star for the oceanfront views. My Chinese chicken salad was a nice switch after eating heavy for days. Daughter loved her pulled pork with smoky flavor. Husband didn't have to choose; he selected the full mixed plate with chicken, ribs, fish. He substituted macaroni salad for fries. Dessert sounded good, but was so-so. It's still a worthwhile stop every year!

The service was amazing, we felt super welcomed the entire time. There's also plenty of parking in the lot, which is always a plus. We ordered the Aloha Mixed Plate ($24), which came with shoyu chicken, teriyaki ribeye, fresh fish with tartar sauce, rice, and mac salad. Such a solid combo, everything was flavorful and hit that classic local plate lunch spot. We also got the loco moco ($21), which also came with mac salad, and upgraded to fried rice for $2. For dessert, we tried the Aloha Pie ($12), which had a chocolate cookie crumble crust, haupia ice cream, macadamia nuts, and shaved coconut. I usually don't like haupia-flavored desserts, but this one had a really subtle flavor and was so good. Definitely a 10/10. Great food, great vibes! Would absolutely come back!
Great place to eat next to the ocean! Food was good and the ambiance was amazing. Seating is outdoors and has a perfect sunset view. Service was nice too. Our server Justin was friendly and helpful. Definitely a must place to eat while in Lahaina. Don't forget to try their lava flow!
Cute place that I loved as a kid. There's such a gorgeous view of the water, and our server here was so nice. The furikake garlic fries were good but nothing super special, I didn't get much garlic flavor tbh. The Aloha Mixed Plate was also good but my fish portion was noticeably small and dry, compared to the other other portions my family members received. Chicken and beef were tasty though! And the aloha pie is a good dessert with coconut ice cream and an oreo crumble crust. Kind of disappointed that I didn't love this place as much as I remembered, but glad to have tried it again.

This was suggested by friends to try. The area is crowded so parking was by chance and luck. The parking lot is small. It is outdoor seating. We made reservations and were seated within 10 mins after checking in. There were tiki torches lit to give the outdoor feel. The staff wasn't very friendly. Our waiter just told us the specials and got our drinks. Came back and took our order. The menu was simple nothing spectacular that stuck out. My plate Ali'l was pork wrapped in a leaf then wrapped in spinach, pork Lau Lau and was missing the salmon. It was ok. Nothing to wow about it. The macaroni salad that you hear people talking about was just ok. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

We came here on a Sunday around 1:30 p.m. we were seated right away. The girl checking us in was friendly and sweet. We got waters and a soda no alcohol today for me. We ordered a variety of food. I got a hamburger Steak my usual it was a small portion. Just one patty with a lot of green onions! The taste was there but I wasn't happy with the portion. Everything tasted great. Service was awesome. The guys working with us were great, good customer service. Oh! By the way it was a little chilly. The breeze was flowing. So you may need a light jacket. Come here if you're ever in Lahaina they're right across of the cannery mall. Parking is a little right here. read more

We had a wonderful lunch here. We were quickly seated. The service was great & fast. I had the mahi sandwich with fries. My husband had chicken with rice. We also had the Aloha pie (ice cream on an Oreo crust with coconut caramel). All of the food was very good. The deck by the beach is beautiful. You know when you find something good you gotta go back and try sa' more. Not sure if there is a limit on reviews for the same location but when it's this good and the menu offers superb entrees I think it warrants at least another review. We did make a dinner reservation and so glad we did, quite a few people waiting and walk ins as well when we arrived. We were here last week for lunch and it was "Ono", food was outstanding and wanted to see how their dinners were. Madison was our server and she did an incredible job, she was on it especially covering quite a few tables nothing lacked her attention and charm. I had yet to try a Loco Moco since we arrived in Maui, I have had this dish on the other islands and it's been good. Tonight I tried Aloha Mixed Plate Loco Moco, they offer it with a choice of steamed rice or fried rice so I wanted to try the fried rice. What a difference in flavor combos. The fried rice gave the dish a much richer taste than the steamed rice. The hamburger patty was incredible, I could taste the char noting it was not fried on a flat top. Excellent dish. My wife did the sirloin steak special prepared with mushrooms and onions and cooked to perfection. Juicy and flavorful and plenty of it. Cocktails were outstanding, we tried something different from our first visit. Loved the evening feel of the room, the night vibe with the exterior torches and landscape really brought the tropical feel. Then came an amazing sunset which you could experience from any table in the house. Couldn't leave without trying the Aloha Pie, so decadent and light. Glad we came a 2nd time, have to say we have not experienced the Hawaiian flavors like we have tasted at Aloha. My partner & I had a lovely experience here for dinner. We made a reservation online and got sat on time. We loved our server (Maddy?) who was friendly and attentive. We ordered cocktails and pulled pork sandwiches. The cocktails were alright but the sandwiches were great!!! It all came out quickly. Nice spot by the water. A bit of a small parking lot. Beautiful outdoor restaurant next to the "Old Lahaina Luau" Delicious food of Mochiko chicken, Fried Spam musubi(Happy Hour menu) and Pulled pork sandwich. Only wish that the waitress didn't rush me with paying the tab and putting a 22% tip on immediately! yikes, while looking over me!! So Uncomfortable and More than you deserved, but we're on vacation!! (oh well) So "tip" to the scenery and yummy food! read more
We came here at sunset ( we made a reservation). We were seated very quickly. They have a beautiful ocean view. The staff was extremely courteous . The food is very reasonably priced. Our orders were taken so quick and the food came out very fast . Upscale caliber and vibe ... I came here three years ago and we liked it so much we came back. We had a burger with garlic fries , crispy chicken sandwich, and a pork sandwich, paired with a few Maui beers. So yummy .. so kind .... Amazing sunsets .... First time visiting Hawaii -- and Maui -- with family. We stopped by Aloha Mixed Plate for dinner to try some classic local plates. For starters, we ordered the coconut shrimp, served with a sweet-and-spicy pineapple chutney. Solid appetizer and nicely fried. For entrées, we shared a mix of plates: * Kalua pig plate with poi, lomi lomi salmon, rice, and mac salad * Grilled mahi mahi topped with pineapple salsa * A teriyaki-style beef plate, also served with rice and mac salad My plate was the kalua pig, which was tender and flavorful, especially paired with the poi. The grilled fish was cooked well and fresh, though fairly mild on its own. Overall, portions were generous and the plates were filling. We also ordered pineapple juice with free refills, but it tasted noticeably watered down, which was disappointing. Overall, a solid introduction to local-style Hawaiian food. They were out of the first two things I wanted to try, so I guess that means it's a good thing...but I can't give it 5 stars when they don't have two items I wanted to try the most. Looking for a light lunch that fits my dietary requirements. No red meat, pizza, fried foods and low sugar. Found this little spot right off the water. Enjoyed a Chinese chicken salad which was light. Topped with a mai tai. Very comfortable spot to dine. Service was good and we enjoyed the food. read more

This place has a calm, breezing vibe where you can watch the boats sail past while dining outside waterfront. For as nice of a view as it was it was still very casual, and laid back. The food was good. My friend added how their barbecue sauce was the best she's ever had but I can't say it was my favorite. My husband got a bit of a sampler plate and that was pretty good. The fish was flaky, with no fishy taste. The chicken--flavorful and sweet. And the kalua pig was great, with a subtle smokiness. I'm not a poi fan whatsoever but it did come as a side, it's just not something I enjoy eating. I recommend not leaving without having some Mac salad as it was quite creamy and balanced. What I was most impressed by was the care in service. Firstly, we were well greeted coming in. Our server took it from there and checked on us frequently. I admired how when I asked about ingredients, he inquired if it was for allergies and he was the best at informing us about allergens present in the menu so we could ensure our allergy toddler could eat safely. I appreciate this level of care so much when dining out anywhere. I definitely recommend eating here. read more
In Maui for my honeymoon and decided to come here for a late lunch around 3 o'clock. Service was really nice and quite fast. We were seated pretty quickly, ordered, and got the Aliʻi Plate, the Mochiko Chicken, and the fish tacos (the meat changes daily, that day it was swordfish). I would personally describe this restaurant as a fast-casual restaurant with good ocean views. The Aliʻi Plate is a good introduction to Hawaiian food. The kalua pork was very tender and very juicy. The pork lau lau tasted like a Chinese dish that is wrapped in a banana leaf (jung). The lomi lomi salmon was quite fresh and tasted quite fishy--it just wasn't what we expected when we ordered it (it's the thing that looks like diced tomatoes). I think it's a mixture of diced tomatoes, onions, and tiny bits of salmon, but when we ordered it, we thought it was going to be an actual piece of salmon. The poi is the purple paste, and I personally didn't like it, but that's because I didn't really like the flavor profile. It's like a starchy paste that kind of tastes like unsweetened Greek yogurt. The fish tacos for the day were swordfish. I've never had a swordfish taco before. I think the swordfish could've used a little more salt and maybe been deep-fried, but again, that's personal preference. The fish did taste very fresh, and combined with the pineapple salsa, it was very refreshing. My favorite dish at the restaurant was the Mochiko Chicken. It was very crispy and very flavorful. Overall, I really liked this restaurant, but a couple of things brought the review down. Our biggest complaint was that there were a lot of flies in the restaurant, and they kept trying to land on our food. The other thing that brings it down is that Maui in general has really good food everywhere, so I'm comparing it to other food I've had on the island. If I were to grade it not relative to other restaurants on the island, I'd probably give it a four, but because of all the other amazing food I've had and the price, it bumps it down to a three. That said, if you're looking for a nice restaurant with a great view of the ocean, I would definitely come here. read more

Came here tonight with my family and had such a great time!! The atmosphere was amazing and our server Alicia was so sweet. She would always come back and refill our drinks. I got the aloha plate and it was really yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area! read more

Ehh, I thought the food was just okay, though there are lots of options and you will be full and eat with a view of the water. It is cool that you can order a mixed plate and try several things. The beef terriyaki was the best on my aloha plate, btw. We went here because Star Noodle was full. I still haven't been there yet, but this is their sister restaurant. It was a good way to try several Hawaiian foods, but the dishes were not AMAZING! read more
Tried and true. This spot is a must for Hawaiian food if you're staying near Lahaina. It's located right on the water and there's a convenient parking lot in front (although he can get super packed during dinner time). We got take out and it was just as good as having it at the restaurant. We got the Aloha Mixed Plate and and an order of the Kalbi. Of the two, my favorite was the Kalbi which was marinated well and super tender. The mixed plate was decent. It came with shoyu chicken, beef teriyaki and grilled fish. I though the chicken could've been better but the beef teriyaki was good. I didn't care for the mac salad here - wasn't something to write home about. Excellent service and amazing food! We had a reservation for 6:15 and were able to get sat at 6. Our food came out so fast and our server was great. We order the Kalua Pork Sandwich and Kalua pork plate and both were amazing!! Great experience and definitely recommend read more

The new spot in Lahaina is back in its former home and better than ever. It does get busy, we showed up on a weekday, right when it opened and were seated at a table closest to the water. The view here is serene. Food was amazing, we had the shoyu chicken plate and coconut shrimp plate, chicken was tender and delicious, shrimp was crispy and came with a sauce that was sweet and not too spicy. Plates come with rice and mac salad which is a must have combo when in Maui! Customer service was good too, the server checked on us regularly and food came out fast. So glad Aloha Mixed Plate is back and better than ever! read more

I have never seen a sign for happy hour
What are the vegan options? It states "vegan options" under amenities.
I don't think they had vegan options but I know they have vegetarian options!
What are the breakfast hours? I can't seem to find that info anywhere.

I have a gluten allergy.... any suggestions what to order here?
The ribeye or the fish of the day..I would definitely ask the servers, you will find something delicious to eat there!

Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. I must preface this by stating that we went before the large remodel and loved the quaint/local feel. When we went back a few years later (post-remodel) parking left a lot to be desired and it was crazy…
