This was my first time at Longhorns. We walked in and they seated us right away. We ordered parmesan fries, which was a new item on the appetizer menu and artichoke dip. The parmesan fries had so much cheese. It was very cheesy. I enjoyed eating the fries. We got the artichoke dip with naan bread, which was fried. The appetizers here are big so we definitely just needed one because we took leftovers home. I was craving steak and I've been wanting a lobster tail so I was very happy with my meal. I ordered my 6 ounce sirloin steak, cooked medium with a sweet potato as my side with cinnamon and butter. My fiancé ordered a 6 ounce sirloin steak with asparagus and shrimp. Asparagus was good and the shrimp was juicy. We weren't a fan of the rice so we left it there on the plate and we wouldn't order the rice ever again. We had a great experience, and we left with our bellies full. We had a nice evening chatting over our dinner. It wasn't too loud. The server was nice and attentive. I like this Longhorn. I have not dined inside but for years now, I drop by for take-out. I have not been disappointed. Food is good - my order is correct and they give me plenty of condiments (yay!!). When I was young, my family treated Longhorn as a special occasion place. Nice steak dinners. I have not had a steak at Longhorn in a good while. My favorite thing here is their shrimp and lobster chowder. Their burgers are great! I love the LH Burger! It tastes so good that I rarely put any condiments on it. Baby back ribs are pretty good. The Parmesan crusted chicken is excellent - try the 9oz Parmesan chicken w 1/2 rack baby back ribs combo - so good and SO much food. I have never had any trouble parking (but I usually stop by at "off" hours. There are dedicated parking spots for pick-up and they do curbside pick-up. read more

Visited this week. Let's face it this isn't Ruth's Chris but it's reasonably priced. We had a Flo's filet and bone-in ribeye . The first loaf of bread was sitting out too long (cold & hard). The second upon request was soft and warm. Her salad was drowning in dressing. Waiter brought a second immediately with dressing on the side. Steaks were cooked as requested and flavorful. Service was great. Speed was great. But the food was so over seasoned! I couldn't even taste the steak, only pepper/salt and it was so powerful my tongue was numb between that and the sprouts. Now don't get me wrong, I love flavor, but this was way overboard! I was really looking forward to a nice meal out since I'm always cooking for me and my son at home. So bummed. I came to eat here earlier today with some friends around 1:30-2. I ordered a Salmon and it had bones in it? I've never ate someone where the salmon comes that way. I asked the waitress and she said it came with it and so I asked for a manager just to get more clarity and see if I could return the meal because I didn't like it. The manager never came. Don't know if they didn't tell the manager or if they just didn't care to show up. needless to say I feel they could have at least acknowledged the situation. My wife and I went to this Longhorn location for dinner tonight (Memorial Day). We've dined there many times, and while we don't expect anything very special, the service and food is usually reasonably good for what it is. Tonight was a major disappointment, however. After ordering, the server came by with bread plates, holding them with her thumb in the middle of the top plate, leaving a print good enough that I could get a good match in a database search. I wiped the plate and let it go. I ordered a cheeseburger medium, which came with a side of fries. My wife ordered a Parmesan crusted chicken. The food came out after about 20 minutes. OK, they were busy. Nothing to be done about slow service. My wife's chicken dish and her sides were fine. My fries were very good. My burger was not good at all. When it first arrived, I noticed that it was so tall, that the toothpick holding it together was buried in the top bun. The raw onion slice was about an inch and a quarter on one side, and about a quarter inch on the other end, making the sandwich tilt far over and even then my big mouth would barely fit all the way around the smaller side for a bite. I removed the onion to slice it more evenly. Putting it back in, I noticed the tomato slice. Now, I'm accustomed to cotton tomatoes in chain restaurants, even in full service places like Longhorn, at the unofficial start of summer. This tomato slice was not juicy at all, was tough to bite into and did not have speck of ripe red at all. In fact, it was pink only in a few spots. It was mostly an unripe white tomato slice. The server then came by to clear our bread plates, bringing another table's dirty dishes with her, apparently to save a few steps. I don't understand why managers fail to train servers to never do that. It's disgusting. Last, while the burger was ordered medium, it came out not medium, not medium well, but well done. After the other failures, I didn't want to send it back, with my wife having dinner at one time, while I ate later. We paid and left, and will not be back for quite a while. It's too bad that this location has sunk so low in its service and food prep. read more

Instead of a friendly greeting or any acknowledgment of our concerns, they seemed annoyed when we pointed out the issues with our orders. It felt as though we were a burden rather than valued customers, which is not what you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. We usually eat at the longhorns in Cartersville which is way better and we have never had any issues with our food or servers ! This Longhorn is a pretty vanilla casual sit-down restaurant. Nothing too bad, but nothing to make it stand out too much. Some of their servers are excellent (I recommend Seth); some are less-than-excellent. The food is good. Portions sizes are adequate, but not huge. Service is pretty good; they keep on top of drink refills and will get any sauces or napkins necessary, but they don't seem particularly happy to work there, and they rarely offer to-go cups. There is almost always a wait at peak times, especially on weekends. I'm not sure it's worth it, but others obviously do. Their To Go service is pretty good and usually on time (not always). If it's not ready when I get there, the barkeep usually offers me a drink while I wait, which is a nice gesture. I wouldn't recommend it, nor would I turn it away. If you want a good burger or steak, there are cheaper places to get it. If someone is insistent on going, you could do worse. If you do go, ask for Seth. Excellent server. read more

This place was great! I really liked the atmosphere and decorations. Everything looked good, and it was clean and enjoyable. We sat in a booth, and ordered some drinks first. The drinks are BIG and you really do get your money's worth. I got some Sangria and it was delicious. Excellent job here. Our waiter was also excellent. One of our appetizers took slightly longer to come out (we didn't even notice), and our waiter apologized and gave it to us for free (really nice)! My steak was really good! I love me a Longhorn, especially when I can go inside and have some mommy time with one of those margaritas. My go to dish is always the Parmesan crusted chicken but the sides are where I mix it up and change my picks from time to time. My favorite sides are the brussels sprouts, loaded baked potato, broccoli, and the macaroni. I will admit the macaroni has been hit or miss the last few times that I've gone. It use to consistently be good but now...eh. The brussels sprouts are well seasoned and flavorable...EVERY time, My daughter loves the mashed potatoes and the baked sweet potato. Yesterday (March 9, 2024), we decided to stop at Longhorn in Cobb Pwy during a trip to the Acworth, Ga. area. The food and the ambiance were good to great. Unfortunately, the waitress at our table felt she could complain about the tip I left at the check. I left almost $13 for a total check of $81 before taxes (close to 17%). Since I use my business credit card, I'm not allowed to leave more than 20% of the check, so I was planning to leave an additional 7-10 cash dollars at the table (which I did) to complete a tip for good service. Then, after she took the credit card slip, a few minutes later, she came back to complain about the tip, she asked us if she had given bad service or why we left such a short tip. I felt embarrassed for my client because she complained in front of all the guests at my table, and they started looking for their wallets. I stopped them and left an additional 10 dollars at the table. The attitude of T. M. was absolutely inappropriate for a waitress; there is no way I have to be forced to leave whatever she thinks she deserves as a tip (IT IS DISCRETIONAL) and based on the service. Unfortunately, I will never recommend this location, and if I have to go there for any reason, I will never want T.M. as the waitress who serves my table. I'm not giving it a 1 star because the food was very good, and the ambiance put my customer at ease until she came back to complain. read more

My husband and I like coming here sometimes as this location is pretty convenient. We primarily like coming in to eat as when we have gotten to go orders one of my favorites is the 7 peppercorn salad and when you get this dish to go it's a bit on the skimpy side to be honest. Salad is definitely not as big as when you order in the restaurant and for the price tag I want my moneys worth. Been to LH numerous times. I haven't been in a number of months with all the craziness. I ordered the chop steak, which I've had numerous times. My wife and daughter both had the fillet. We all had salads. I notice the salads first and something had changed. The dressing tasted the same, but definitely a change in the produce. Cannot say it was bad, but I've eaten enough of their salads to know when something is different. The chop steak was very different from my many experiences in the past. There were no longer an onion haystack on the top and the sauce was not as good. It was actually so salty that I sent it back. The waitress was great and removed it from my bill. My wife and daughter had the same complaint , but ate theirs anyway. Hope this is a temporary issue at LH, we've always enjoyed stopping in. read more

This location clearly has a strategy to seat parties with children in designated parts of the restaurant. We were told 30-35 minute wait...35 minutes pass, still not seated. We go ask how much longer and we are told..."not sure, there is a table that had paid but hasn't left". I love this location. Actually Longhorn has become one of my favorite restaurants lately (not many on the list). My wife and I and some friends have been going to this location about once a week and everything has been great including service which is rare nowadays. Jose at the bar is fantastic and so are all the other servers we have had. They get to you fast and bring your drinks and take our order with a smile even though we can see how busy and overwhelmed they are. Food is always great quality and taste great. These are times that we have learned to be more forgiving for lack of service due to help shortage but honestly have not felt that at Longhorn. The management team at the Acworth location should be commended for running such great operation and having such great workers. My wife and two young sons visited this location recently and were left feeling underwhelmed. We were seated promptly which was good especially when you have kids. Our server was adequate. The food, however, left a bit to be desired. I ordered a ribeye steak medium well and it came out well done. It also had the texture and consistency of a flank steak or cheaper strip steak. Not a ribeye. The manager was nice and did make it right by having another cooked that was medium well this time. It was still the same texture and consistency though. If it was a ribeye it wasn't a very good cut. The sweet potato I ordered was good and my Caesar salad was also good. My wife's grilled shrimp came out more cooked than she would've like and she said the salad had way too much dressing. The kids got macaroni and cheese which we are pretty sure was just Kraft. And the "seasonal fruit" was large grapes. The manager also gave the kids some ice cream for our trouble with my steak. All in all, we felt the service was good but the food was just ok. My husband and I ordered take out for dinner on Saturday. I placed our order at 627pm through the app and my order was not going to be ready u til 815pm. This is outrageous! It shouldn't take more than an hr to get an order ready. Normally the parking lot is packed and on this evening it didn't seem as busy. When we got our food it was definitely not what we expected. The baked potatoes were encrusted in sea salt so much that it was all over our to go plate. I ordered my steak medium well and it was pretty burnt. We spent I think it was $50 for our meals.
