One of our top spots for lunch. Probably the best deal around for lunch in my opinion. Food has never been bad and the service is usually on point. There's a couple of servers that can bring down the experience but it's pretty consistent here. Best baked potato in the Ashland area by far (besides homemade). I recommend the loaded potato soup, the burger or chicken sandwich and the baked potato. Wings are good but a little pricey. Chicken bites aren't too bad either. Only had dinner here once or twice and the Roadhouse beats it out. read more

To my experience ce here the menu was overpriced. It took way too long h to be seated. After being seated by a hostess, our waiter was promptly behind her to get our drink and appetizer order. That was the only time he was prompt. We got our appetizers before we got our bread or drinks. We had to wIt to eat them bc We had no plates to put them on. Our steaks were under cooked served med/rare but was ordered medium) the correction came over cooked. The waiter mixed up or salad order and forgot us several times. Texas Roadhouse is in the same parking lot and well worth the stop, especially since This was the worst Longhorn our family has eaten at. Service was slow, especially considering it was not crowded and between lunch and dinner. Slowly ate the loaf of bread and then had to wait for salads to come out. Salads were finished and then we waited a while for the entrees to come out. Steaks were all rare instead of medium and medium well. Brussels sprouts were burnt, brown and crispy - except for the three they placed on top to try to hide the burnt ones. Wrong chowder/soup was brought out with the meal. Considerably overpriced as we ordered three teas, two entrees for my parents, and I had a bowl of chowder and a side of Brussels sprouts (which I sent back and just requested they were taken off the tab) - and the bill was still almost $68. Recommend paying at the table in lieu of cash. My mom paid with $100 bill and server cashed 2-3 other people and brought their bills back to them, even though she had collected ours first. It was almost 10 minutes and my parents suspect server was trying to wait us out and collect a $30 tip (we still left over 20%). My parents love Longhorn but will never darken the doorstep of this location again. $68 is a lot to pay for all 3 of us to get the wrong food. read more

Went to LongHorn steakhouse in Ashland, KY. The place was nearly full for a late lunch, with a wait time of nearly an hour, probably due to Mother's Day. As a seat was available by the Bar, I opted for it. The Bar maid was very busy, but extremely courteous and took care of the orders very swiftly. I had my drink very quickly, hot roll of break came nearly immediately, the salad was served readily. Then came the Steak and my sides. I have eaten here several times and have always had a good experience. My food has always been really good and prepared as I had asked. Service has always been great, the servers are attentive and try to cater to any specific request if they can. Wait times are usually pretty reasonable even at peak times. The restaurant always looks clean and neat with several seating options for an intimate dinner or a group. My only wish is that they had a few more selections on the menu but it's not a complaint just a wish. All in all I really enjoy dining here and have been happy with my food every time I have gone. read more

I went to Ashland location and ordered the 9 oz filet (medium) when it finally came out it was way over cooked (well well done) and baked potato was cold wouldn't even melt the butter! I showed to waitress and she took it back to have another one fixed. Manager came by apologizing and said there would be another steak out soon with a hot baked potato. I was starting to doubt her assertion of the next steak because it was taking way too long. I was right! Finally, it arrived and waitress had me to cut into steak before she left...cooked exactly like the first one (well well done) and potato cold! How do you make the same mistake two times in a row for the same customer...I don't understand! Evidently, staff in kitchen don't know what they're doing or simply do not care. Went to LongHorn yesterday for my birthday. I picked it since we have visited frequently. First off, service was excellent and everything came out as ordered. As far as ambiance, you could not find a nicer restaurant in the area. Very nice for a newer restaurant. Now comes the food, for the most part, everyone enjoyed their meals except I am the only one who had steak. That was another story. I am a big steak lover and this steak came out looking like the breakfast meat at Denny's. Too much fat for even a ribeye. To say disappointment would be a huge understatement! We are loyal Longhorn patrons. I would estimate we have dined at 10 or more locations. While most are 5 star locations our most recent visit to this site had a problem that almost completely ruined our dinner. There were 2 different waitresses (thankfully neither were ours) that were seemingly drenched in strong perfume. Each time one of them walked past our table it was as if a trail of this stench followed them. Two of us are asthmatics and our evening was ruined. Why wouldn't the management insist on a "scent free" environment? I hope that management sees this and makes a change! read more

I love eating at Longhorn and it's usually a good experience. A friend and I ate lunch there today and our server, Amber H. was terrible. She didn't seem to want to be there, she wasn't friendly, she didn't ask if we needed anything else through the meal. We ordered the lunch special and shrimp appetizer but she forgot to put in the appetizer. When she brought our lunch I ask about it she said I forgot do you still want it and we said no she didn't even say or act sorry. My friends french onion soup was actually cold. Steak was delicious I got the New York strip it was delicious. I got the street corn as a side great sweet corn. I ordered the asparagus because it's my favorite vegetable but they forgot to bring it out. The waitress took it off the bill. My nieces steak was over seasoned it had a spicy taste. well to start off, there were stinkbugs or roches on the windows ceil , several inches of dust also, steak wasn't cooked to order, had to ask for refills, asparagus was grilled or cooked to mush! My husband and I had eaten at this location often. When my food arrived I took one bite of my steak and had to spit it into my napkin. Horrible, spoiled taste. I've worked in food my entire life. I don't understand why the people next to us were allowed to bring their dog to the table wrapped in a blanket, It was NOT a service dog nor anything close to a service dog. LongHorn Steakhouse is my favorite steakhouse but tonight was a good night. Was really hungry and was expecting a great meal and service. It didn't happen. The bartender was our server it took a while to order my friend and I was in a hurry. When we ordered i specifically told the bartender that I didn't want any rub or spicy stuff on my steak or scrimp. It wasn't his faults the kitchen put stuff on my scrimp and on my steak. They made me another one which had to be boxed because we had to hurry The manager did talk to us. He didn't charge me for my steak and scrimp. I asked if they were short staffed. He said no but it seemed like it to me. They manager was really nice gave me his name and said to ask for him the next time we came to eat there. I doubt we will come back. Like I said in the beginning. Longhorn is my very favorite steakhouse but this one tonight was a very big disappointment. I was not happy especially I went there tonight to celebrate my friends birthday. I asked if he was pleased. I especially wanted him to be pleased and he said his steak was too spicy too.
