Don't usually eat at cafeteria places . But this was a very good experience. The food was great the staff was very friendly. It was very clean. I will definitely be going back. I can't believe it wasn't more busy. It was about half full. But I can't believe with the quality of food we didn't have to wait.

Since my dad was visiting I knew he would like to go to MCL. We have been eating at these since the 70's. This one is newer and extremely nice inside. Its a cafeteria like in school but with a lot better food. They rotate the menu and if you like chicken livers like my dad this is probably one of the last places that has it on the menu periodically. The swiss steak is one of my favorite items. Luckily on Saturday they had it on the menu. They will also have a variety of side items. The rolls are all fresh as well and excellent. I didn't want any dessert but they had quite a few nice pie choices available. As you pick you items and pay you can go sit and enjoy the food. I will add MCL is one of the few places a very large group of people can go and eat easily. It is easy to pay the bills as each person can pay as you go through the cash register. There are plenty of tables and booths as well. The swiss steak was excellent great sauce. I really like good spinanch and this is one of the few places that makes it themselves. It is great if you like spinach. I also got some yams. I don't recall seeing these before but they looked good and tasted good too. We all got what we liked and had a great meal at MCL. But the warning is it can get costly as each item will have its own price so make sure you get what you can eat the portions are a decent size and they also offer a lunch time special with a sandwich, drink, and one side.

I'm just not a fan of the price. This was one of my dads go to for food. He is no longer with us. Me and mom seen this new MCL in Avon. So mom hadn't been to MCL in a long time. Our food was great. I have been sick for the last couple days but feeling better. I had a tickled in my throat that made me start coughing and coughing. I felt bad for they rest of the customers so I went to hide out in the bathroom till it was over. The lady working the floor (Asian lady) was very worried and asked my mom if I was okay. She checked on me a couple more times before we left. She was very nice and welcoming! The inside is very clean and warm feeling not just a open eating area.

    All you can eat spaghetti!

We came here for the all you can eat spaghetti on Friday night. My husband and I both opted to get the meat sauce (you can get just plain ol' marinara if that's your thing). The sauce was actually pretty flavorful, and it had a decent amount of meat. Was it the best spaghetti I've ever had in my life? No. Was it good? Yes. What really made this place stand out was our server. He was on it every time we needed another round of spaghetti, more drinks, or whatever our needs were at the time. We will gladly return here.

Good food, mostly of the "home-cookin'" type. Good value for the money. MCL Avon is a large, bright, and clean restaurant. Comfortable.

There were about 2/3 tables full, which is good for a Sunday. Our server Jason was friendly and good about keeping track of all our requests. They have mocktails! I got the Blushing Sangria. It was delicious and nicely fruity and not too sweet. I've never drank before, but my boyfriend said it tasted like the original kind. They have a pretty extensive beer list here, and many of them are local choices. For appetizer, we got the couscous Mac and cheese balls. These are pretty close in nature to arancini, but with more cheese. My main course was their weekend dinner special, with prime rib accompanied by white cheddar mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The prime rib was absolutely amazing, nice and tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also great and are a very smooth consistency. For dessert, of course we had to get a pizookie! The triple chocolate delivers on its name. Served hot, it is well worth the wait after two courses of deliciousness. They have TVs around the bar area that have sports on. At the time, basketball and nascar had the most coverage. I wish they had the closed captioning on, since that makes it easier to tell what goes on if you're not right at the bar. The bathroom is kept clean there. My boyfriend and I are sure to come back on the weekday special going on, with select entrees and pizookies for $13 - what a deal! Hopefully this is sooner rather than later!

Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.

It didn't smell clean at all, but I decided to try it anyway. I opted for the large breaded pork tenderloin (10ounce) with fries and a side of 5-cheese Mac and cheese. Food was served quickly. The tenderloin was clearly a greasy one from the moment I laid eyes on it. I cut it in half to make a double-decker out of it, and half of the breading came off. When I picked up that half to stack it on the sandwich, the rest came off. I put it back together the best I could and gave it a try. The tenderloin was both greasy and tough- it was like biting into a pork chop. There was nothing "tender" about it. Fries were ok, with lot of seasoning salt on them. The Mac and cheese was both hot and cold at the same time- it definitely came from the microwave. The waitress was nice and attentive. $23 total.
