You pick your own ingredients off the ingredient table and also your spices and sauces. Then you wait until they bring your bowl to your table. you can also order appetizers and whatnot. I like how they prepare the things I picked into a delicious meal. The value isn't bad either. Just don't expect good or friendly service. And be prepared, as it can get quite busy here.

This is my first time visiting this particular chain of restaurants but I have been to other build-your-bowl type establishments before. It is the same process. The instructions are well laid out with signage and suggestions. I tried coming to this location before right after 12 noon on a Friday and they were too crowded for me. Today I arrived at 11:35 am and it was much better but the dining room was still 80% full. People must really like the concept and the fresh ingredients. I selected beef, pork, sausage, fish, lobster and shrimp with fried rice. I selected onions, string beans, and carrots for my veggies with teriyaki sauce. I loved that they have the ever popular McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning along with traditional seasonings such as powdered onions and garlic powder. Everything was well cooked and super delicious. I can see why people like to come here. It's fun building different combinations of food to be cooked together. I've already selected my ingredients in my mind for my next visit. I can't wait to perfect my creation. The music choice of 50s hits was different and interesting. There is plenty of parking available in the large shared lot.

I have been to this Yummy Bowl location several times. I haven't written my review before now due to health issues. I do alot of to-go sushi orders. This place though is so, so good. The staff is nice and constantly on top of your drink refills. You can either order sushi or do the Yummy Bowl. If you do the bowl right you have leftovers for a few meals. You go through a line and pack your bowl with noodles, veggies of your choice, egg, and meat or seafood. You get to choose what you want in the bowl or don't want in the bowl. At the end you season it the way you want, and add sauce which there is probably 20 different sauces. You give them the bowl and they Wok cook it right there and bring it to your table. You fill out the card with your table# and name. On the card you can get white, brown it more fried rice. I usually get brown or white, but on the side the rice. The yummy sauce is this creamy sauce which is delicious that I pour over my bowl. They do have an all you can eat bowl so if you finish your bowl you can go get more. That never happens. The sushi is amazing my favorite is dragon roll, spicy yellow tail and spicy Crab roll. The shrimp tempura with veggies is really good and lightly battered. The prices are very fair especially for the amount of food you get. Don't forget the sake. Kai the manager is always there and is so nice once you get to know him. It's one of my favorite places. It is very loud inside and there are a few TV but you can't hear them. Ha ha.

I had never been to this style of hibachi (is it even hibachi?) restaurant before, and was a little intimidated by the process. But once we figured it out, we had such a fun experience! We waited in line for around 15 minutes to build our bowls, but once we handed them off they were back at our table within 10 minutes. For us, half of the fun was watching others pile their bowls recklessly high and try not to dump them. The food was great! I was pretty surprised at how well my bowl turned out. Of course, that's pretty much up to you and your culinary intuition. And it was relatively inexpensive, especially considering the leftovers you will have! They will bring you a takeout box without even asking, because let's be honest, your eyes were bigger than your stomach. We would definitely come again and try our hand at a new creation.

This was an experience to never forget. The food... I don't even know, what is better than the best? That's how I would describe it. Staff was so freaking kind! This is recommended for EVERYONE on this planet! A good ol' 5 stars for Yummy Bowl, they deserve the 5 stars!

I have been to Yummy Bowl twice for lunch. I am just not impressed. It's about $12 for lunch and that is before you add a drink, tax and tip. I did the create your own bowl. They give you a bowl to go to the buffet, you collect the ingredients you want in your finished bowl. You give them the bowl and they cook your items all together. After your bowl is cooked they bring it to you. I have not had good luck with mixing the sauces. My bowls have been pretty bland. I know that is my fault but I wish I they did the sauce differently. I have not had any problems with the service. Since I have never ordered off the menu. I know this place is really busy during lunch but I don't think I will go back.

I was instantly sold when I first heard about this restaurant. You can create a bowl catered exactly to your tastes, add as little or as much of anything as you would like, and it's $11.99 at lunch time? Yes please!! The restaurant was busy when I arrived, but I was seated almost immediately. They have a nice sitting area with several booths on one wall and a bar on the opposite wall. The staff were very friendly and explained the process of ordering a bowl, as it was my first time at the restaurant. They have fresh uncooked ingredients laid out buffet-style, and you go down the line and add the ingredients that you want into your bowl. I had a bit of a hard time deciding what to add because they had lots of options and everything just looked so good! It took around 10 minutes for my bowl to come out cooked, and it was delicious--especially with the Yum-Yum sauce!! I'm sure the other items on the menu are tasty as well, but I have a feeling I'll stick to the bowls for some time. I'm already looking forward to coming back and creating a new combo for my next bowl :)

This is a typical Mongolian BBQ restaurant with the addition of a decent sushi menu. You can pay for 1 pass through the buffet line (1 protein, vegetables, noodles, 2 sauces) or upgrade to all-you-can-eat. Someone brings you your bowl once it's cooked on the flattop grill. Sushi is a la carte.

Went with family for the first time. When we arrived, we saw there was a wait. We didn't wait long (10-15 minutes). Once we got sat our server came and gave us a card with rice option and table #. Then we headed to the create your bowl line. Line was somewhat long but moved along. You start out with at the beginning of the line your vegetables & noodles. At the end of the line is the protein options. Then you can season your bowl & pick a sauce. You give it to the chef with the card with your table #. It took from chef to table 5 minutes. My bowl was AMAZING! The experience was fun. I love the concept of it. I highly recommend. I will be back.

Food is good...service - not so much. Went in for lunch and it was busy. I took a seat at the bar and built my own bowl which was delicious. Beef, noodles, broccoli, and Sczechuan sauce. Its a fun way to familiarize yourself with asian flavors if you are not already. My server sat me at the bar with no silverware or chopsticks.....then brought me a sweet-iced tead when I ordered unsweet. She disappeared and I never saw her again to correct that mistake. Nobody ever checked to see if all was good. Ultimately someone else brought me my bill. I'll write it off to an anomolay. We'll see how it goes next time. Luckily the food was good enough for there to be a next time.

My friends have been telling me about this place for awhile and I finally got to visit on Thursday evening. It was busy when I arrived but thankfully, my friend already had a table. I got some sushi, the King Kong roll and miso soup to start. The miso soup was ok but the sushi roll was top notch! They then brought out cards and small bowls . Youre meant to write your name on the card and take it and the bowl with you to thegrill/cooking area. Here is where you pile your chosen meats, fish and veggies into the little bowl and then choose your sauces then leave that and your card for them to cook it. Once the cooking is done, they ring a bell and your server brings your prepared dish to your table. Everything was well cooked and delicious. Since I had already had sushi, I took the meal home to eat later and share with my son. The only thing I would day is that it's not designed for anyone with a food allergy as the meals are cooked on the same surface. They do clean it as they go though so no worries about cleanliness. Expect it to be busy around lunch and dinner time. Once the meal time rush is over, it slower and less packed.

    Yumminess!

We ordered the Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and the Dynamite Roll, and honestly, everything delivered. The flavors were bold, fresh, and reminded me why this chain has been around forever. That said, I think P.F. Chang's is one of those places where quality can vary quite a bit from location to location. This downtown location got it right. I went on a weekday, and it was super empty, which meant fast, attentive service without feeling rushed. The location is convenient if you're downtown for an event. My only knock is the price. It's a little steep for the chain restaurant and sizing, so I left satisfied... but also aware that inflation apparently reached the classics. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. Sometimes the "basic" restaurant quietly reminds you why it became popular in the first place.

I happened to visit on a warmer day so I was able to see the space with the garage door open. It was golden hour and it had everything all lit up. Very beautiful. Our service was amazing, couldn't have asked for a better server. I can't remember her name but she was so detailed in her descriptions, thoughtful with her suggestions, and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. Now on to the fun parts.... Drinks were a hit! We told our server what we like and they recommended a couple options. I again can't remember the exact name of the drink but mine was a gin cocktail. I'll attach some photos for you. As for the food, every bite I took was delicious. Our table shared the fried brussel sprouts and the ginger miso salad. A very lovely way to ease into our meal on a lighter note. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. The presentation was cool, a slightly deconstructed version of what I would get somewhere else. There wasn't a single bite left on the plate. I would order all three of these dishes again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a date night or special occasion, but also works for just grabbing a bite with friends. We had a reservation at 6:45, and were sat shortly after that time. The place was busy for a Friday night, and was somewhat loud. Our waitress greeted us quickly, and was on top of things throughout the night. I started off with a ginger miso salad, based on recommendations on this page. Personally, I could have went without the $12 salad. I would have paid more like $6 for the amount of actual salad I got. The dressing was good, but nothing extraordinary. I did ask for no cucumbers- I could taste a faint taste of cucumbers on the salad, so think they just took them off after they were already placed. We split some Bao Buns. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.
