I was in the establishment 3/17/24@1pm. The waitress was working all by herself and that was awful to see, I ordered Spicy chicken, asparagus and bake potato and a long island tea. The chicken i ordered should of been a whole order not a apetitizer and it did not look as though the chef put presentation in his mind preparing it! And the asparagus was so slimmy and souggy! I have been going to Longhornes for decades and never was unhappy, but was surprised of how the district mgr responded to my complaint to her. This starts with up higher management and above how employees act to customer service. Did not tip the waitress because we sit there for 25 minutes or more and no one saysl i will be there in a minute or something to acknowledge us sitting there. Arrived around 5pm thinking we would beat the dinner rush but that was the wrong assumption. The entire place was packed and Jerica was working the host stand managing the crowd of people and the wait list better than air traffic controllers at Atlanta airport handles planes. After a short wait, We were seated in a booth near the bar where Brenda greeted us and took phenomenal care of us. Shockingly she was the bartender and serving everyone packed in at the bar as well as the booths surrounding the bar. This level of service and work ethic is difficult to find these days. The food was good and came out as ordered. Most times when I visit it is hit or miss, but this particular night I was really happy with the service provided. I ordered the outlaw ribeye and baked sweet potato, my friend ordered the flat iron steak and baked potato. He asked for ranch dressing for his potato, but it didn't come out with his food and by the time he received it the potato was cold. We entered the restaurant at 9:50 PM and the hostess told our party that even though they close at 11 PM, they stop seating guests at 9:45. There was an 1hr 10 minutes left for the restaurant to be open so I'm really confused as to why they refused us service. If you stop seating people at 9:45, then you should close the restaurant at 9:45. Again, the restaurant was scheduled to close at 11 PM. This is something that I would expect from a smaller and unfamiliar establishment, but not an established restaurant chain. Very disappointing. read more

I was staying In Memphis this past week for work with another colleague. We decided to go to Longhorn which I have been to before but it sounded very good as I was extremely hungry! Everything was great. The service was on point nothing was missed, and it was a very friendly staff. Questions were answered promptly and recommendations were given. Personally I ordered the outlaw ribeye, I added shrimp and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as I ordered it, the broccoli was well steamed and the shrimp was delicious and not overcooked or undercooked. Overall a very enjoyable meal. Me and my fiancé always go here for date night it's our favorite spot! We never had a bad experience until today.. They told us the wait for a table would be 20 minutes we got there at 9:50 but got seated around 10:44 which there is no problem we understand it gets busy! When we got seated our waitress was rushing around which is understandable she came up to us and asked for our drinks and left, 5 minutes later she got our drinks but just dropped them off gave us no bread after we ordered our food. We had to ask. She dropped our food off without saying if we need anything no check ups or if we need a to go box she just got the ticket and left it on the table without saying anything. (we had also noticed she would check up on her other tables and ask how everything was) I understand if we got seated last but that doesn't mean we have to be rushed out! SERVERS ARE THIEVES. My husband and I lost our daughter 2 months ago. A friend gave me a gift card to this restaurant for mothers day. We went to the restaurant the day after mothers day. Here's what went wrong: 1- We waited 25 minutes, at 2:30 in the afternoon. 2- There were 2 parties behind us who got there drinks and bread before us. 3-The server asked us if we wanted bread, we told her yes. So she brought us the bread, but still we had no drinks and of course the other 2 parties got food before us. 4- When we did get our food, I didn't realize that my chicken wasn't completely cooked until my last piece(bloody). She asked if I wanted it remade or taken off my bill (again it under cooked). Take it off the bill, please. 4- I paid with my gift card. My bill was $20.17, I tipped her $3.83. so I'll have $26.00 left on the gift card. When I checked my gift card balance it stated that I only have $24. dollars left on it. SO THE SERVER HELPED HERSELF TO A COUPLE OF EXTRA DOLLARS OFF MY GIFT CARD(HOW MANY PEOPLE IS SHE DOING THIS TOO?). SO I WOULDN'T EAT THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STOLEN FROM. There's no way a customer should be seating 20-30+ mins with a server AND manager in walking distance and nobody has said anything . Not a hey , can I give you a glass of water or anything . I had to ask a manager for assistance and she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience nor did see show any concern . And why nobody writes anything down any more !? Trying to remember 5-10 customers orders without writing anything down , then you forget 60% of the things customers tell you and then have an attitude because you forgot ! Busy or not a simple hey I will be with you in a moment would go along way with me . I usually never give bad reviews but I come to this location far to often to experience the same lack of basic customer service each time . If you ever lived in Austin for very long you will appreciate the Western themed décor. Horn chandeliers, tack, cowboy pictures and blankets all remind me of home (for a few years, anyway). Tables are far apart so you don't hear every conversation and on Sunday the restaurant is fairly quiet even with large parties seated nearby. They have revamped their menu again. Bread is multigrain in a basket. We shared their delicious asparagus appetizer with tiny stalks and a great sauce. I had the baby salad and French onion soup while my husband had the new apple and cranberry salad. Both orders were good but not spectacular. My husband got a medium rib eye for lunch while I had the trout. My mashed potatoes were profoundly man made so I did not finish them. I should have ordered something else. Prices are good but expect to pay around $15 on up per plate especially if you order steak. Service was excellent and not obtrusive. Will be back! read more

The line was pretty long and i decided to take a seat at the bar and ordered me a Samuel Adams Winter Lager. The beer was cold and freshing. It tasted just right for a lager. I can't remember the 2 bartenders that served me but they were really nice and attentive to my needs. I started off with the corn nuggets, ribeye (med rare) with loaded baked potato and a side cesar salad. This was alot of food just for myself but i wanted to try it out. First off: corn nuggets: They were good but i think the batter could be a little lighter and fried a little crispier. Cesar salad: The salad was what a cesar salad should be; Romaine crisp lettuce, grated and shaved parmesan cheese, dressing and croutons to top it off. It was delish! Ribeye and Baked Potato: My ribeye was cooked to a med-rare perfection! When i sliced up a piece it was heaven/juicyness with all the flavor in my mouth. The loaded baked potatoes was cooked just right with the added cheese, butter and bacon (minus sour creme and chives) which topped off what a loaded baked potato should be. My meal was scrumptious and i was only able to finish half of everything. I doggy bagged the rest for another meal the next day. First thing I noticed is that this locations seems fancier than the Collierville one and really made it feel like a higher end steak place. We all got salads with our meals and Mom and I got the balsamic vinaigrette on the side. We were both impressed with how light but flavorful the dressing was. It was not overpowering as it often is at other places. It even tasted good with the bread. Mom and Hubby both got Flo's Fillet though cooked to different degrees. Hubby got medium well done and his was thin but packed with seasonings and flavor. Mom got medium and hers was thick and tender but had less seasonings. I got the Coconut Chili Mahi Mahi. The wait staff was super friendly and mostly efficient (there were some strange lapses in timing from the kitchen). I had the salmon - ordered it as rare as possible - and it was VERY cooked. Oh, well. It was a little too salty...as was the rice that it was served on top of (that was EXTREMELY salty). The sweet potato was very nice - served in the skin already mashed up with some cinnamon sugar and butter. The salad was good - blue cheese on the side was decent. Unsweetened iced tea was good. The big winner? The BREAD. I could have made a meal out of the loaves of warm, light brown bread baskets. Others at the table also had salmon (they ordered theirs well done and it was certainly well done...), filet mignon and tilapia. Feedback on the tilapia was that it was very salty, too. Today was the last chance for this location. We've enjoyed eating here often after church with a group of friends, but today will probably be the last. As before, we've had problems with our orders, and have sent them back, but to avoid embarrassing our friends today, we just sucked it up and ate our disgusting meals. I ordered the 12 oz. ribeye medium with a baked potato. I have never had a so called steak served me that was only 1/2" thick, tough and with no flavor. The baked potato was obviously a left over from the night before, it as very hard and crusty and almost yellow on the inside, just totally disgusting. My wife ordered the "New" farmhouse chicken that was supposed to have asparagus and mushrooms. It came out with three tiny pieces of asparagus and only two pieces of mushroom. It was a disappointment as well. This item is listed on two different menus offering different options for the sides. When she ordered from the menu offering a side and a salad, she was charged for the side item. When I asked about that charge, I was told that was a premium side and it cost more. We'll, how about explaining that when we order. If we had to pay for a "premium" side, how about not charging us for the side that should have come with the meal? Seems as thought we have things go wrong every time we go here, so I think we'll just start going elsewhere from now on.
