LongHorn Steakhouse is our go-to for a simple, solid steak night. We keep it classic -- steak, loaded baked potato, and a Caesar salad. Always consistent and satisfying. I do wish they had rosé, but the margarita was surprisingly good. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp because it gets busy and saves time. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had at LongHorn Steakhouse. We waited nearly TWO HOURS for our food while watching customers who were seated long after us receive their meals before we did. As the night went on, it became clear that the issue was not simply the kitchen or the restaurant being busy--it was our waitress. She was extremely unfocused, was not properly attending to her tables, and apparently was refusing or failing to run food for her own tables when it was ready. Meanwhile, we were left sitting there wondering why everyone around us was being served. What made it even more frustrating was that instead of taking accountability, she repeatedly blamed other members of the staff for mistakes and delays. After waiting almost two hours, some of our orders STILL came out incorrectly. At one point, the experience was so noticeably different from the service other tables were receiving that we genuinely questioned whether we were being treated differently for another reason. Finding out that the real problem was our server's handling of her tables does not make the experience any more acceptable. Other employees actually stepped in and tried to help correct a situation they did not create, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, one server's lack of attentiveness, urgency, and accountability completely ruined the experience. Waiting nearly two hours for incorrect food while watching tables seated after us get served first is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, restaurants get busy, and I understand that--but neglecting your tables and then blaming your coworkers instead of taking responsibility is something entirely different. Management seriously needs to address this because no customer should have an experience like this. read more

The parking lot is a disaster. If you make it in/out of there without a fender bender, pat yourself on the back lol. We were told wait time was 25 mins. It took over 50 mins to get a table. While waiting for a table, I noticed the floors were greasy and dirty. After watching the waiter cleaning the tables we knew why. He was literally sweeping the food from the table onto the floor. I've never tasted something like this. Yes is spicy but not overwhelming. Filet 6 oz with longhorn mac n cheese and salad were top top notch NY strip steak baked potato bacon filled Note on the steaks- if you order "Well done" make sure to emphasize well done and let them no absolutely no "pink" or "red" It took them 3 times to get it right but they got it right. Only 3 stars for our experience today. We walk in and the hostess walk us to a table then changed her mind and sat us elsewhere, which is okay but seemed a bit unorganized. There were several tables not bussed yet, which is understandable if short staffed. However, there were a few employees that seemed to be wandering around slowly that could have gotten those dirty dishes out of diners' view. The food was mid. Not bad but not excellent. However, we did have plenty to take home, so that was a plus. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. The bathrooms seemed to not have been cleaned in a while. I had spent another long day cleaning out closets, dressers - hauling bags of clothes (& memories) to the local Goodwill. I needed a break - both physically & mentally. I wanted to sit somewhere clean & quiet - away from the clutter & chaos at my parent's house & the dirt & grime at the rental I'm prepping for showing. I wanted salmon again. This time I decided to try my luck with Longhorns. It was a decision I would come to regret. Exterior They are tucked into the corner by Lowe's & Target. Lots of parking. Interior Dark - so you can't see much. As far as cleanliness goes - the hostess seated me at a dirty table so I decided not to dine in - more on that later. Customer Service Hostess was MIA when I entered but she arrived fairly quickly. She took me over to a booth right next to a couple with a woman who was talking loudly & animatedly. There was one other couple in that section - seated window side, & one other table of diners in the entire restaurant not counting the doordashers at the bar. I asked if I could be seated in a different section. She pointed to the window table & said she'd "just sat those folks so not really unless I sat in the bar section." I agreed. She took me over to a booth on the cusp of the bar section then dashed off before I could ask her to please have someone clean the booth (both seats & table were covered in crumbs). I was wearing black & didn't want to have my butt peppered with white crumbs, so I stood, thinking surely, she will see me in her peripheral vision & come to assist. Nope. Instead I had to gesture her back over. I asked for paper towels to clean the area. She came back with a massive wad of DRY paper towels - then proceeded to wipe the crumbs off BOTH seats, then wipe the front half the table. Thanks for wiping the booth butt germs all over the table & for only cleaning the first 18 - 20 inches of the table. I did not feel comfortable eating at the 'not even close to being sanitized' table, so when my server / the bartender arrived, I told her I'd decided to get my order to go. She told me to let her know when I was ready. After waiting a bit, I approached the bar, made eye contact with the bartender, then placed my menu on the bar. She came over, picked up my menu, said nothing, then walked back over to another area of the bar. After standing there for a few minutes, she came back over. Said she thought I had changed my mind about ordering because I'd placed my menu on the bar. I didn't understand. What was I supposed to do with the menu? Stand there fanning myself with it like Scarlett O'Hara? When I placed my order, I told her I'd like to add a side salad & she warned me that there was an extra charge. I'd had enough of this strange interaction with her, so instead of just saying ok, I explained that I was aware, that's why I'd said 'I'd like to ADD.' She double-downs & says, I just wanted to make sure you knew because some folks get a salad instead of a side & they get upset when there's an extra charge. I told her that I can understand explaining a substitution upcharge, but I wasn't substituting - I was ADDING to my meal. Most restaurants don't let you add ANY side on for free. Food I had planned on ordering salmon with veggies & rice but I needed to order something I could eat while driving. I opted for the 6 piece chicken tender meal with fries & added a salad, heavy tomatoes. Ranch dressing. No bread loaf. My food was 'ok.' The tenders were laughably small. More like nuggets than tenders. Most were good, but 2 of them were tough & rubbery. Fries were good. Salad was smaller than usual & apparently they no longer give you croutons. Despite request, they gave me the complimentary bread. It may not seem like a big deal, but I ALWAYS tell them I don't want the bread, butter, etc - & they ALWAYS give it to me. & I give it back to them to throw away. I've done it hundreds of times now so it's pretty wasteful. Price / Value The value wasn't really great because my chicken tender portion was tiny. But they do have some great sounding lunch specials that seem like good deals. Overall I attempted to pay - bartender said I had to wait until a ticket generated. I wanted to pay first because I knew I was going to speak to a manager & I didn't want to seem like I was angling for a freebie. I called the restaurant while waiting in car. I called 3 times before reaching anyone. Keep in mind, restaurant was nearly empty as 1 of 3 tables had left while I was at the bar. I spoke to manager, Matt. He apologized for my experience. Seemed genuine & empathetic. When I came back, she said Matt had discounted my meal & asked if I'd like a beverage. I requested a cup of ice & she brought it holding it by the rim. I can't use straws & can't put my lips where dirty hands (from touching cash, cards, doors, possibly shellfish) have been, so I trashed it. We ordered the Prime Rib steak, 12 oz. with loaded baked potato, salad, and French onion soup. First, the soup was good. The loaded potato had maybe a teaspoon of sour cream and a teaspoon of shredded cheddar cheese. We had to ask for butter and more sour cream. The steak was about 1/2" thick which is the thinnest 12oz steak that I ever saw. it was flavorful but not quite as tender. read more

Each year around Veterans Day the weekend night shift from a local ai raft service center which will remain unnamed are taken out to Longhorn for a Veterans Day thank you dinner. This was the night, so we had reservations for 8pm for about 16 places. We show up around 15 minutes early and are told they are waiting on the tables to clear over in the bar area as they are going to slide some together for us. Same as last year, so no biggie. We plant ourselves outside and begin our wait. 8. 8:15. 8:30. We are seated around 8:35 or so. Still not an issue, we're not in a rush. The super nice and on the ball server pops around to get our drink orders and returns within 5 minutes or so with our requests. She returns after about 5 more minutes to take our food orders. Some of us get appetizers, some have salads. The salads come after about 10 minutes, the appetizers come with the food. Talk about crowded tables. By now it has quieted down a bit over next to the bar as most are eating instead of watching the games. Between all of us, the shrimp appetizer was amazing, the wings appetizer was on point, the chicken pieces appetizer was good also. The salads were good. The one of us that got soup was not completely stricken by it, and I admit we could smell the seafood in it from down the table. While we ate, the little server lady was quite attentive and we never had an empty drink glass. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the steaks ordered all being strangely mis-cooked (some mediums were cold and bloody like rare, while others were barely pink almost well done, etc) and the appetizers getting there with our meals. All in all, the service was the winner, and to be fair, feeding and corralling a bunch of bearded aircraft mechanics ain't that easy, but this was a job well done. read more

First off the wait time here was quite outrageous and they do not accept reservations. Even being put on the waitlist or calling ahead like they recommend does essentially nothing. Many people said they had been waiting for over an hour and a half, luckily that wasn't the case for my party. After what felt like forever we sat down and our waitress Karina was very nice the entire night. I got the stuffed mushrooms as my appetizer and it was AMAZING... I wouldn't mind having that again. Everything else however was awful. My Parmesan chicken was way too salty, the Mac & cheese was too bland and the honey glazed brussels sprouts were too sweet. I could not win at all. My coworkers tried the wings, ribs, shrimp, salmon, etc and not a single person from our group enjoyed the food. The mushroom appetizer was the only thing any of us liked. The margaritas were really nice and sweet but lacked in the alcohol department. We had to order shots. Considering the wait time and how many people were in the place we really expected so much more from this place and were left with disappointment. It was a pretty nice dining experience. I love that the temperature of the restaurant was so comfortable that I did not have to wear a jacket. I say that because in the past few years, I've always had to wear a jacket and I would be freezing. The music was at a nice level. The exterior was well maintained. They practice social distancing with the tables. Everything was kept clean. They use paper menus so they could be discarded. The server was nice. The food tasted fine and arrived in a timely manner but it was not hot, it was only lukewarm. The bathrooms were clean but they need some TLC. The doors did not lock properly. Since the Mill house had closed down we had to venture out in Brunswick for dinner. Although we don't usually pick chains we decided to go with familiarity so longhorn it is! It was busy but not crazy so we god a seat pretty quick. We got a little of everything that started with shrimp that was pretty tasty then some chowder that was really nice. Then we split a wedge which was refreshing then finally the steak. The Outlaw Ribeye* was cooked perfect. Light on the seasoning which is good. Maybe a little better char. I can understand if it's busy but the restaurant wasn't busy at all. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the slow service. The food was just okay. I tried to place a to-go order on my app around 9:20 and kept running into problems with it . I then called the restaurant and the phone rang from 9:30pm- 10:15pm no answer what so ever . I decided to drive to try and place my order in person. (I live 3 minutes away) I arrived at 10:20 and explained that i was having trouble with my app and that I had tried to call to place a togo order . The host was polite but she walked over and asked another lady and the other lady rudely shook her head without even turning around acknowledge me or to tell me herself they couldn't do it. got in at 8pm friday 10 October sat at the bar. ordered my togo dinner, med rare steak and double broccoli. immediately irritated due to a guest who seemed to either be a regular or work there came behind the chair I was sitting in placed her foot and hand on the chair as though I wasn't there only to get the attention of the bartender and began sparking a conversation with the couple next to me and order her 2 glasses of wine in which the bartender got quickly vices taking my drink order considering I was already seated. the employees were very comfortable and not in tune with the ticket times because several guests were waiting for their meals who were seated prior to my arrival. someone who seems to be of management was speaking with the guest to my right as well from behijd the bar and carried on a 10-15 minute conversation as the kitchen was weeded. he also casually broke a glass and ignored cleaning it until his very important conversation with the younger couple was finished. unprofessional in my opinion. it wasn't busy however the kitchen took 45mins to send out my med rare steak and it was over cooked. I would have ordered another but I knew it would have been another 45 before I got it. my first time experience at any longhorns and it was disappointing. management needs to do better and things should tighten up. Upon entry on a Friday night at 8pm we expected it to be busy. What we didn't expect was for the hostess to be rude to her coworkers and tell them to keave her alone ahe just got there and she knows what she is doing etc. She looked at everyone waiting and said oh they can leave me alone I am good come on and I'll seat you. Then came back and fought with 2 others about the seating chart. We should have just left then. We waited 15 minutes then were seated. The floor seemed to have sticky film and trash but again I ignored the signs due to hunger and out good track record at this restaurant all around the South. Our server was nice and hospitable. Sweet tea was good but outside of the glass was dirty. Tables dirty all around us. Wild west shrimp came out and was good. Salad was good but bread was flavorless. Finally ordered food we have had dozens of times and after a long wait for it to arrive it was the absolute worst food we have had at a Longhorns ever. Over 25 years of eating there and this was the worst. Ribeye and sirloin overcooked. Ribs so tough a bone flew when our son tried to pull apart after struggling. Riveted was so thin like paper and so much fat way more than normal I mean excessive. Both steaks were absent of flavor. I mean zero. Baked potatoes were not cooked all the way through and were just bland wven with the toppings. We didn't eat even half and then waited 25 minutes for anyone to come by and at that point just asked for a check. Another 15 minutes we got one and we're able to escape a few minutes later. We didn't complain because we had to wait so long for even anyone to pass by. Anyway...I hope they can find a cook and new hostess. read more

The place is horribly managed. The service is the absolute worst I've ever been in an any longhorn, Outback, Logan and any other chain steakhouse I've ever been in.
