The smoked salmon plate came with pickled onions, capers and dill over a bed of smoked salmon with cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel. Again it was a very good portion of salmon and very tasty. We ordered coffee and a side of potatoes. Everything was great and plenty of food to leave extra for take home. We had a reservation for 9 people at 7:30. We were seated at 7:30 and sat there for 15 minutes before I went to the hostess and asked if we had a server assigned. She apologized and went to correct the situation. Approximately 5 minutes later our waiter Johnny introduced himself. We finally got drinks after we had been there for a half hour. A young man shows up with salads. He hands me the first bowl and asks me to pass the bowl around the table. I don't necessarily like that everyone at the table handled multiple bowls. Food orders were then taken. Our waiter was asked questions and he answered speaking extremely fast and at times we were not able to understand what he was saying. Our meal arrived and no one came back to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. We were never served bread and I had to find another server to help us. The atmosphere and food were very good unfortunately our overall experience was not. Since we were a larger party we were atomically charged a standard gratuity that didn't match the service provided. My husband and his team will be here working for the next 6 months. I hope the management of Bennie's reads this review and takes this as an opportunity for improvement.

Five stars, no notes…read more Ok, I have notes. This is the best fine-dining experience on the island. Yes, Woodside exists, and is quite good. But Delaney's is better. First, the service. I ate here twice over the course of a week, once at the bar, and once in the dining room. Michael took great care of us at the bar, and Devin was fantastic in the dining room. Also, a shout out to the short little Hispanic fellow who delivers those delightful warm rolls--incredible! The second time I visited, we had to wait a few minutes while our table was prepared. In maybe six minutes total, no less than seven different servers approached us to make sure we were being taken care of. Forget about the menu you see online. The specials are where it's at. Both meals I had, there were at least five appetizer specials, and nearly double that for mains. I won't go through a blow-by-blow of every dish, but suffice it to say every single thing we ate was perfection. And even after salads, our mains, and sharing two desserts and three appetizers, we left feeling satisfied but not bloated, a testament to the quality of the food. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.

So big decision next time I go back as I loved loved loved the duck. We typically don't order dessert but hey it was Valentine's Day. My husband ordered the key lime pie which was monumental as he is super picky and never ever has anything good to say when he does get it. That changed- he declared it was real key lime pie and would order it again. My chocolate Guinness cake was also excellent. When it arrived, it was the exact same size as my friend's side salad, making it difficult to justify the entrée price. Later, when our waitress checked on us, I asked for additional dressing, but she returned and informed me that the kitchen had already closed at 8:30 p.m. and could not provide any more. Two members of our party ordered smash burgers. The burgers arrived without the lettuce, tomato, and onion listed on the menu and without any condiments. After they asked about the missing toppings, the restaurant brought them out, but the "lettuce" looked more like wilted spinach and was not fresh. While the service was very good, the food quality, preparation, and attention to detail left a lot to be desired. Based on this visit, we would return for the service, but not for the food.
