    Texas Tonion
    Lenora S.

Solid location, food on point, little frayed around the edges. Not the prettiest location. Gets the job done. Award for teamwork displayed across the bar. Witnessed first hand how the hostess was helping the waiters. No manager visit today. Not sad about it. My husbands steak, NY Strip, cooked to a perfect medium well. I went with the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Forgot to ask for no pickle. Easy fix and no soggy pickle bun. Bun was dry and disappointing. Just ate it without. Nothing stood out. Texas tonion, french pinion soup, loaded baked potato and broccoli all showed up and were average. Again. Grading Longhorn vs Longhorn. Solid location. Waiter was courteous and lightly visited. Took his cues from us. Perfect.

Food was good. I got something basic. I came with family and I don't eat beef or pork. Salad was tasty and the sweet potato. Service was decent for the amount of people at our table. It was freezing inside, felt like I was eating outside. I was happy to exit and get out expeditiously for that reason.

It's been a while since I've had it but Jessie the Certified trainer bartender was able to have the cooks make me a Black n Bleu burger that was taken off the menu years ago. It was sooo delicious and perfectly cooked with hot crispy fries. Amazing food and spectacular service!

Stayed at the Hilton up the street so this was a no brainer for dinner. My steak was cooked a perfect medium and hey that's harder to achieve than one would think anymore. The bar staff were super friendly and very accommodating. I was in and out in less than an hour and that's always a good thing

Dining with a companion before a long trip. This dinner location provided us with the intemate, yet cozy setting needed to converse over a meal before departing. We got the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer they were delivered hot and were delicious. My company had not had them before and was pleased with the taste also. Janet was our server and she was marvelous. I really liked the way she explained this businesses version of rare, medium rare, and well done steak. She was pleasant and ensured we had everything we needed. Our food was delivered hot and in a timely manner. We didnt have to ask for much because her anticipation of what we needed was spot on. I will return again, and thank you for the great food and service!

Dave was a wonderful waiter. Very attentive, professional, precise and accurate with our order. Kept checking on us, and making sure we are good. Food was not very fresh or hot but the Brussel sprouts are to die for. The drink was excellent, shrimp and rice was good, my husband loved the Mac n cheese. Please ask for Dave as a waiter.

From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. Our server, Lizzy, was outstanding: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Excellent service like this immediately elevates a dining experience, and she made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the steak. We shared a massive 50-ounce ribeye, cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. The meat was exceptionally tender, richly marbled, and perfectly prepared -- easily the kind of steak that justifies a visit on its own. Before the main course, we explored the sushi bar menu and ordered the crispy rice appetizer, which turned out to be one of the most memorable dishes of the evening. Tempura-fried sushi rice topped with spicy tuna, chili garlic, and a soy glaze created an incredible balance of texture and flavor -- crispy, spicy, savory, and slightly sweet all at once. It was a standout and a perfect example of the restaurant's successful fusion approach. The sides were solid complements to the meal. The fries were thick, plump, and pleasantly crunchy, while the sautéed onions were classic steakhouse fare done well. The bread service was another pleasant surprise, featuring soft, tender rolls alongside pão de queijo -- a delightful Brazilian touch that we did not expect but thoroughly enjoyed. For a two-person dinner -- including one appetizer, a large shared steak, two sides, and water (no alcohol or dessert) -- the total came to about $300 including a 20% tip. AG Steakhouse successfully blends classic steakhouse excellence with creative menu options that keep the experience interesting and memorable. We left impressed -- and already planning our return. We'll definitely be back.

It was so good that we made a point to come back just two weeks later while we were in Cartersville, hoping to order it again. Unfortunately, the second visit was a completely different experience. We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and were immediately asked if we had a reservation. There were plenty of empty tables, yet the hostess made us feel like showing up without a reservation was somehow an inconvenience. We were eventually seated, but it wasn't exactly a welcoming start. Then came what was easily one of the most obnoxious servers I've ever had. He spent more time delivering awkward, canned one-liners than providing good service. He constantly interrupted our meal with quirky comments that weren't funny or entertaining--they were just distracting. To make matters worse, when we asked about the amazing Thai dish we'd had only two weeks earlier, he told us it had already been removed from the menu. Apparently, rotating menu items this quickly is common here. We ordered two different entrées. One was decent. Mine was terrible. It was another Thai-inspired noodle dish made with sweet potato noodles (if I remember correctly). The presentation looked like dog food, and the noodles were so overcooked they had turned into mush. Between the disappointing food and the overbearing server, it made for a long evening. Our food also took more than 50 minutes to arrive after we were seated. After three visits--only one of which had been genuinely enjoyable--we decided to take a break from Table 20. Then we saw a Facebook post featuring catfish over Gouda grits with what looked like a corn and cabbage topping. It looked incredible, so we decided to give the restaurant one more chance this past Saturday. This time I played it safe and made a reservation. We were seated immediately, and thankfully we had a pleasant, professional server. We ordered the catfish and the Pad Thai with spicy mushrooms. The catfish was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it was underwhelming. A good remoulade or complementary sauce would have gone a long way. The Pad Thai, however, was one of the worst restaurant dishes I've been served in a long time. The mushrooms were burned completely black--crunchy, bitter, and tasting like burnt popcorn. That burnt flavor had spread throughout the entire dish, making it completely inedible. I asked our server if it was supposed to be prepared that way, even though I already knew the answer. She said it didn't look like that when she had tried it previously. She took a few of the mushrooms back to the kitchen to ask the chef. She returned with a small mason jar of freshly cooked mushrooms that were soft and perfectly prepared--but completely unseasoned. Unfortunately, replacing the mushrooms didn't solve the problem because the noodles themselves had already absorbed the overwhelming burnt flavor. I tried eating a few bites but simply couldn't finish it. When I explained that the dish was inedible because of the burned mushrooms, our server handled the situation professionally. She offered a complimentary dessert, a free cocktail, or another entrée to go. I appreciated the effort, but at that point I just wanted an entrée that was cooked correctly the first time. To their credit, they removed the Pad Thai from the bill. I still tipped based on what the full total would have been because none of this was our server's fault. She did everything she could to make things right. What disappointed me most was that neither a manager nor the chef ever came to our table to apologize or even acknowledge what had happened. A dish in that condition should never have left the kitchen in the first place. The lack of quality control--and the lack of management involvement afterward--was honestly more disappointing than the bad meal itself. At this point, we've given Table 20 multiple chances. When the food is good, it's very good. But when it's bad, it's really bad. The inconsistency makes it feel like you're rolling the dice every time you eat there, especially considering the prices. For us, that's enough. We won't be returning anytime soon.

I'm a little surprised that a manager didn't come around to check on the table after the feedback was given. Higher end restaurants usually receive a visit from one, and considering the order was a little off, I would think that definitely warrants it. I ordered the steak & chicken hibachi with double rice in the place of veggies. I asked for a lot of yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce. My wife had sushi (she's particular about her sushi) and she said this was the best she's had in a long time. She said you could tell it was fresh. She was particularly impressed that the volcano roll actually looked like a volcano and had shredded crab and all on top of the actual sushi rolls. She must have enjoyed it, because walked up to the sushi bar and complimented the sushi chef.
