My parents and I dined in today for lunch. Our server was Bradley. Elsewhere Outback Steakhouse advertised the $14.99 three-course combo, which is a jaw-droppingly generous deal given this economy. The menus the host gave us didn't have that three-course combo special featured anywhere, so we asked our server for it, so don't forget to ask because it doesn't seem to be proactively presented in the restaurant. He presented a crumpled up menu from which we ordered two baked potato soups, two house salads with ranch, one grilled shrimp dish, one chicken tenders dish, and one chicken breast sandwich. Also, a spicy marg. Everything tasted fantastic! Let's start with the baked potato soup, which was a hit---hot, great portion, excellent flavor with cheese and chunks of potato that improved the overall experience. The salad was an ample portion with iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese, tomato, cucumber, croutons, onions, and ranch already drizzled on top. The chicken tenders were a generous portion and served up hot and crispy outside and juicy inside. The shrimp was fresh and arranged together in an assembly of eight over some fresh bread. The chicken sandwich was tender, properly cooked, a thick slab, and lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and a delicious Outback signature sauce that truly made the sandwich pop. The spicy margarita wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be and more sugary than alcohol-y. There's a Ziosk device at the table, so you can order apps and desserts (but not entrees) directly from there as well as process your payment if paying by credit card. Huge shoutout to Outback for the exceptional service on a busy Saturday evening. We originally planned to go to Texas Roadhouse, but the long wait times led us to Outback instead and we're so glad they did. It had been a while since our last visit and our daughter needed a good steak to help with her low iron. From the moment we sat down, our server Mark went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He was attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience enjoyable. Our entire table ordered medium-rare steaks including the kids meal and they were cooked to perfection, which many places tend to overdo when it comes to children's meals. I experienced the most upsetting interaction of my life. I have never faced discrimination, however I believe my partner and I have today at this establishment. My partner presented his Military id. Which provides name, age, rank as well as birthday and I presented my Pennsylvania state Id, both non expired valid forms of id used countless times. She initially accepted my state ID that did not have a real ID insignia, but came back to the table to say that my boyfriend's federal ID was not valid. (His id is accept through various bars, restaurants, hospitals, hotels, military bases, government facilities and TSA. I pointed out that mine under her criteria would not be valid either and then she abruptly said, can I see your ID again and went to the back for 6 minutes which will insinuate that she has no idea what their proper identification requirements are and she was going solely off of personal beliefs which hold no validity. We were the only young African American couple in the restaurant on a calm Tuesday evening to be denied. Our server displayed gross incompetence and extreme lack of care. I'm concerned for the young male waiter she presumably was training as she may not be the best example. What was supposed to be a nice afternoon celebrating my partner's military achievements was turned into an embarrassing social punishment. Do not dine if you'd like fair just service. Two weeks ago we had the BEST SERVER attend to us, his name is RICHARD, so with such a great experience (this guy was friendly, professional, made amazing recommendations for meals & drinks!) - We decide to return. Tonight, my hubby and I arrived for dinner around 7pm. Hubby ordered: Steak with Potato Soup & Ceasar Salad The steak was good but next time he order without the combo strings and cheese, kinda took away from steak flavor. No biggie. Potato soup was too garlicky and milky, and salad was as expected - yummy! My order: Perfectly Salmon with Broccoli and Tasmanian Chili Soup. Salmon and broccoli way too salty for me. Had a terrible experience at this Outback a town where I grew up in and my folks and I went to when it first opened up in the early 90's. The waitress Brenda was rude to us. Even my mom who is in her 70's couldn't believe how rude she was. I spoke out because I'm of color and could spot the racism from a mile away. It's been getting better. Using the app has been making things better. When I called orders in things always got messed up. Now that we use the app it's better than it was. We stopped coming for years because our orders kept getting messed up. It's been horrible for a long time. Since the app it's truly been better. Orders have been 85-87% right now and the food is better. Our only issue is still certain items being over cooked. The chicken breast and the size of the potatoes. Seriously ... my Barbie doll wouldn't get full off some of these meals. The sweet potatoes are smaller than a baby's fist and instead of giving 2 they think one is acceptable. This is why we stopped tipping pick ups. The quality is not the same as if we dined in. Why isn't it the same as if we were sitting there? So we don't tip since we can't get treated better either. Outback is not a fine dining experience, so don't expect Prime Filet, they use Choice cut. Their food is prepared well but you can only do so much with choice cut filet. I ordered the Surf and Turf, 6 oz Filet and a very small 4 oz lobster tail. This time , the lobster was chewy, the filet always the same. You should sit away from the bar. The person at the bar serves the complete bar and the tables around it. As a result, service can be slow and spotty, not the servers fault. Outback food is okay, but if you also eat at a fine dining venue, Outback can't match that. The prices aren't too high, even though you get choice filet and a baby lobster tail. read more

We love this Outback! The service is great (ask for Richard) and their always trying to exceed the expectations for the guests. They can get busy so if you don't have the app and get on the wait list before you arrive it might be 15-40min sometimes to get seated. The Steaks are cooked to perfection, if your not into that the New Pork Medallions are awesome. The Pork Porterhouse is just as good. The adult beverage selection is a great compliment to the meal and dessert is a great way to top off the meal. Look, as many restaurants they have a slip or two, however they work at making it right. I have, across the past 12 years, eaten with my wife at this restaurant perhaps a couple of dozen times. since the advent of the pandemic and all of the attendant rules, we have never visited the shop again, and instead, have ordered only via DoorDash and other meal delivery services. Whenever I have eaten at the restaurant, I have always found the service to be quite competent, the menu to have a suitably wide range of offerings, and the food to be very good. Since we have been ordering only via meal delivery services, that is, since early 2020, I have continued to find the menu offerings to be suitably broad and varied, and have continued to find the food quality to be always very good. While my wife particularly likes their steak offerings, I love the past offerings and also their hamburgers -- I very much appreciate that they allow you to tell the kitchen the degree of cooking for the burger, and, in my case, I tend to order only very rare, while my wife orders extremely rare. I often purchase multiples of their pasta and seafood dishes, and multiples (perhaps 5 to 8 at a time) of their burgers (customized, of course, to my preferences), and then re-package most of them and put them in the deep freezer for use in future meals. BTW, even their mashed potatoes are very good! One thing that I simply MUST mention is that whenever my wife or I have ordered custom-cooked or custom-prepared items, whether they be steak or hamburgers or other dishes, the kitchen ALWAYS manages to cook the dish exactly as we had requested, and I have NEVER found them to make a mistake with any order yet. In fact, they even ALWAYS manage to cook pre-specified extremely rare and medium rare steaks and burgers EXACTLY as requested, and without fail. If and when the pandemic restrictions ever end, I would dearly love to visit this restaurant again in person to eat, with my wife, and/or with one or more of our occasional out-of-town visitors. However, in the interim, it works quite well to order from this restaurant via DoorDash and via other meal delivery services. BTW, in normal times, that is, pre-pandemic restriction times, whenever we have wanted to visit a local restaurant with out-of-town guests, and when we have NOT wished to eat Indian, Chinese, sushi, or other Asian cuisine, well, Outback Steakhouse has always been our sole go-to restaurant for steaks, burgers and for so-called American and/or so-called Australian dishes! read more

This last few times it's been horrible. This past Sunday it was so dirty outside. We got there at noon. our waitress literally took our order and that was about it. Our sodas came out after mixed drink that was ordered. The guy serving the same area was doing everything then she got sat a 8top and he had to add them to his list of things to do. Well, the only good thing about this Outback was our waiter, Noah. This young man was very respectful and was always asking if we were good. Five stars for Noah. Now, the food. Apps were good, Teaser salad had way too much dressing. So, I ordered the porterhouse, medium to medium rare. Steak came out cold and raw (purple). Tough to cut and just horrible. Noah asked if I wanted to get another steak. I ended up ordering the bone in ribeye. The manager brought out the ribeye and checked to see if it was done to my liking. At first, I thought it was cooked perfectly. When I bit into it, it tasted like liver. Then, upon further inspection, the ribeye was thin. So thin you could fax it without any issue. On top of that, it was overcooked. Wasn't even well done, but more like congratulations. So disappointed. The Outback we used to go to in Germantown, md, closed recently. We thought we would drive 45 minutes and try this one. Nope. My daughter ordered a slice of cheesecake, which I thought the manager would comp us, but didn't. Now. I believe that you should tip your server for doing a good job. That's why I still tipped Noah 22 percent of the total bill, with the steaks included, even though they were taken off the bill. I don't know what's happened to Outback in Frederick. MD. It used to be the happenist place on the west side of town. I havent seen a waiting line in years now and after last nights experience there I understand why. I've been to this location 3 times in the last 5 months. The first time, it took them 4 tries to get a simple steak cooked correctly. What a waste of food. Second time was an average visit. The server, Jarrod, appeared insecure and inexperienced. The third visit, last night, was poor throughout the visit. Jarrod couldn't seem to handle simple instructions. The bar was completely EMPTY, There was no one sitting at the bar. We ordered our drinks, no one at the bar, very few customers in the entire place and it took 7-9 minutes to get our drinks. I finally had to ask a manager,, who was poorly dressed and didn't make much of an impression, to find our drinks. The brought them to us one and a time. The drink issue just got worse as the visit bore on. This place has never recovered from the pandemic and with its average to below average food and the lack of experienced, confidant servers and bartenders that stand around shooting the breeze rather than working their service bar, I truly wonder how long they will be here. I'm sure their numbers have been awful for a year or more. At any rate, I finally used all my gift cards and dont EVER plan to go back to my once favorite place and I'm sad for it. Their regional manager should send in some secret shoppers, have them sit in the bar and get the skinny on what's happened at this once very popular watering hole. I ordered from Outback Steakhouse a few days ago using DoorDash and there was an issue with the selection on one of my favorite dishes. I called the store and spoke with the manager to explain and ask if they can just fix it so my order is correct. He was very rude and said I'm not giving away free food! I didn't ask that and I paid for it. It was too late for me to cancel my order so when I received it, I was hesitant to eat it and here's why, there was 8 kookaburra wings and at least 4 where raw inside like this. So upset that not only was my order wrong but they may have uncooked these wings on purpose and I spent $80. Thank goodness that DoorDash refunded me half of the money for their mistake but OUTBACK sucks for not being understanding and not helping fix the situation before I had to write this review. This is for curbside to go (online ordering) and I rarely if ever have a problem with them but this time I felt all around was a horrible experience. I ordered online while my family and I were at Verizon. I show up a little early expecting to wait a little extra which I'm fine with, but not as long as I had waited for the poor quality food we received. We ordered 2 full size orders of the bacon cheese fries and BOTH were missing bacon! One of them looked like it had a sorry attempt of putting a few pieces of leftover scraps of bacon but seriously? To pay as much as we do for these and get cheese fries that I can make better at home?! On top of it all, when I asked for an extra piece of bread for my mom, the girl acted like it would've been too much to walk all the way back inside and then back outside. Well if I didn't have 4 different people coming up to my car, asking different questions each time, taking a payment, different one returning with change, another asking if I had been helped, then she would have realized I asked for extra bread a while back. Guess that didn't get passed on throughout the millions of "outdoor" servers. Outback has gone down in quality in general. Came in with my bf and his mom for a late lunch/early dinner on Saturday. We were sat immediately. The server was wonderful. She was quick and pleasant and checked in enough but wasn't intrusive. We got a blooming onion which was such a disappointment. Usually I think colossal sized onion that's on the very of wtf why is it so big. But this one was so very small. Wasn't very hot. And the crunchy of it just kinda fell off whenever you touched it. Disappointing. The salads that we got were good. My Cesar was a little over dressed but good. I got a steak and broccoli. My mid rare was a touch over cooked. But still good. The broccoli was small amount of the tree part and huge stalks. Again disappointing. My Bf got a steak and a baked potato. His steak also over cooked. He got a lobster tail(idk why it's a steak place) and it too was over cooked and rubbery. Potato was good though. His mom got an over cooked steak as well (both of theirs were mid well). But her lobster tail wasn't over cooked. Over all the quality didn't justify the price. I would of been happier if things were cooked better but it was several mistakes and I didn't want to be that table that sent most of it back. We won't return. read more

We recently went to outback on 40 in frederick md. My husband and i got the sydney shrooms they were dripping with grease the breading was falling off due to the weight of the grease. The tasmamian chili tasted like it was out of a can it was so disappointing. read more
