There are not many choices for eating at locally owned restaurants in Gallatin so many locals settle for this which is admittedly better than the competition across the street. Don't let the western decor fool you into thinking there is any level of authenticity to your experience. You are going to get a menu with food quality determined by a mega corporation. Steaks are small, pork chops and chicken are processed. Meat quality overall is definitely low end. We went several nights while here because we didn't feel like driving to Nashville to eat. Very busy on the weekend. Our service was good but the kitchen screwed up a couple of times. Best items were the Old Fashioned, which was a nice stiff cocktail and the baked potato which was perfectly done. Chopped salad was decent and the complimentary bread is good. Autumn was Absolutely a Fantastic Server and she should be recognized for her wonderful service!!!!! We will definitely be asking for her in the future! The only negatives of the restaurant are: in the last three visits to the Longhorn Restaurant in Gallatin TN there were many customer complaints about the cold air blowing directly on customers which also causes food to get cold (my food turned cold very quickly) and the Ranch Dressing used to be delicious but lately it's too salty to eat. Can't believe I'm about to write this about a chain steakhouse. I don't know if it's just this location or the whole chain, but this place is great. Top to bottom. Service to food. And everything in between. I've eaten at a lot of premiere steak houses, high-end restaurants, prix fixe menus etc. This LongHorn is punching well above its class. Now, don't get me wrong, when you walk in here expect that corporate cut of meat, and a similar selection. But also expect it to be cooked perfectly, expect one of the best cocktails you can get in Gallatin (unfortunately, I'm not kidding) expect great service. More importantly, expect some of the best VALUE you can find for miles. This place is becoming that go to spot for special occasions. A crowd pleaser every time. My family came here for lunch this past week and we loved our experience. Our server Emma was so sweet. I had the soup and salad lunch deal. I ordered a Cesar salad and the shrimp & lobster chowder. It was such a delicious meal that writing this review and thinking about it makes me to want to return right this second. In the future though I will order my salad with dressing on the side as it was extremely soaked with the dressing. My husband ordered shrimp with rice and asparagus which he loved. My Mom had a filet, backed potato and the house salad with bleu cheese dressing. She told me they have the best bleu cheese so I tried it and I have to agree. 6/11/26 - Horrible experience today. My Birthday steak. First steak had me choking it was so spicy. Only ate 2-3 small bites and couldn't handle the pepper. it stuck in my throat. I coughed for 10 minutes. Waitress came by and I asked if it was blackened. She said just a lot of pepper spices. They cooked another one without the spices. However, when it served to me it was about 2/3 the size of the other ribeye and I'm not sure it was a ribeye. When I cut into it, it was dry and hard. Wasn't even hot. Definitely not cooked medium and no seasoning at all. I ate about 2/3 and a few fries which also were hard/cold. So I won't be back. I tipped the waitress about $70 because I had decided to give the waitress a $100 bill and tell them to keep the change. It wasn't her fault. I also turned down a free sundae for my Birthday. I just wanted to leave. I'm sure what they did to save money is they had a steak sitting around and just threw it on the grill since they had to throw the other one away. Probably gave me the fries off my other plate since they were cold and hard. My salad was really good. Do not go here. Manager didn't even come out and apologize. We are regulars. Tonight's experience felt like we got the B-Team. Service was struggling. Phone rang off the wall the whole time we were there but no one answered it. Seemed like dozens of employees running around busy. One of our two ribeyes was over cooked. Didn't mention it since it already seemed like the ship was sinking. I have been to this Longhorn location several times. Every time we've ever been the service and food have been good, and the environment is relaxed and friendly, but myself and a couple friends dined in on Wednesday the 27th of September and it was beyond anything I've had at a longhorn. I ordered the 20oz prime rib done medium rare with mashed potatoes and when it arrived it astounded me. The steak was perfectly done, it was tender and amazing and one of the juiciest steaks I have ever eaten. The mashed potatoes had an excellent substance to them, and the butter in the middle wasn't excessive or limiting. Overall it was an excellent meal, and it came out in amazing time. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences! Ordered the Redrock Grilled Shrimp- grilled jumbo shrimp skewers brushed with smoky tomato butter and served over seasoned rice with a side of garlic butter. Asked for no smoky tomato butter. Shrimp came with an inordinate amount of seasoning making them inedible. When this was pointed out to our server he asked in a rude tone how we knew they were seasoned?! We asked the server to have the shrimp re-made with no seasoning. Then the manager came over and asked if everything was okay or if there was something wrong. I explained the same thing to him as I did to the server- explaining that the shrimp had an inordinate amount of peppery seasoning which was totally unexpected as the menu said nothing about the shrimp being seasoned only about the smoky tomato butter. The manager said this is not correct, our menu says all of our dishes feature our Prairie Dust seasoning which he said was on the shrimp. We questioned this with him- noting that the menu says nothing regarding the shrimp being seasoned. He countered that it does- he got a menu and could not find anywhere the "bold" seasoning-as he called it- was mentioned. He then said your shrimp is being re-made and i am going to follow up on this inaccuracy in the menu. 20 minutes later- no shrimp- but a second server shows up saying our original server has closed out and left for the night. 10 minutes go by-still no replacement shrimp-our original server magically appears in the dining room vacuuming the floor- 1 1/2 hours before closing. 10 minutes later Server #2 re-appears and brings the re-made shrimp and a new side of broccoli. The shrimp now is not seasoned but was BURNED on one side and totally inedible. To add insult to this terrible presentation, the broccoli was cold and rubbery. After a few minutes, the server re-appears and asks if everything is okay. When we explained to her that the re-made meal was equally unacceptable she said she would go get the manager.after waiting several more minutes, the server brings the bill and notes that they took off the shrimp dinner and said thank you. We asked what happened to the manager -her reply was that he was in the kitchen and too busy to come by. So that was my experience, 2 shrimp dinners BOTH unsuitable for consumption, waitstaff who were indifferent and really did not seem to care and a manager unwilling to address in any way a poor customer experience other than to comp a meal that was not eaten due to improper preparation/presentation. If in Gallatin and you are looking for a good steakhouse-AVOID Longhorn. Perhaps try Logan's or Texas Roadhouse where they deliver QUALITY food and Quality service. read more

Well when I ordered curbside pick up I waited an extra 10 minutes, which is not bad it was a snowy day and they are short staffed. I get my food and get home. My wife's salmon meal was perfect, she got everything she wanted. My meal was a sirloin and supposed to be a side fully loaded baked potato... it was a potato wrapped in tinfoil, no butter, no sour cream, no cheese, no bacon bits. Not even cut. Then I get my salad (that I paid extra for) no croutons, no dressing, no cheese. I then look for bread which I wanted included... no bread.... I reach for the silverware I requested.... No silverware. We'll surely there are at least napkins..... no there were no napkins. If I'm paying $50+ for my food I would expect it to all be included. I will not be returning. I had the salmon with the signature strawberry and pecan salad, rice and crispy Brussel sprouts. The meal was good except for the Brussel sprouts. Crispy meant burnt. I would not recommend that side. We were seated rather promptly in the bar. The seating location was perfect for my party. We also tried the firecracker and the stuffed mushrooms both were very good. Came here for dinner w/ B's cousin and wife. We had a great time and it's always nice to get together during the holidays. The hostess was friendly and our server was sweet. She was attentive, informative, and kind. Our water cups were always filled. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Our food was tasty and definitely "A-OK." I wouldn't say that these are the best steaks out there, but still very tasty. I like the different side options that come with each meal. Their complimentary bread and butter is pretty darn good. This is our go-to locally if we are eating at a sit-down chain restaurant. The service is usually good and that is saying a lot now that so many places are in need of staff. The food is what is expected. Appetizers, such as the onion petals, mushrooms, and Wild West shrimp, are very tasty. The bread is nice for a change from rolls. The steaks and salads are hit or miss. One week, we will be very pleased with the food's quality, but the next week, it won't be as good. Me and My husband walk right in on a Saturday afternoon and got a table but is was around 2:30 pm. Our waitress Toria was the sweetest,knowledgeable,efficient, and made our visit a good one to a great one. We order a appetizer Texas Tonion. They come to our table fast, hot, and delicious. The loaf bread and butter was hot and hit the spot. I ordered a 8oz filet mignon medium well and steamed broccoli. My steak was cooked perfect and my broccoli was still a little bit crunchy just the way I like it. My husband ordered a 12oz ribeye steak medium well and a loaded bake potato. He steak was cooked perfect and his potato was hot and soft. The portions were very large and the prices were a little higher but it was very high quality food. Will definitely be back. First, we really arrived at the right time (4:30 PM) because by the time we were done with dinner, the lobby was packed with folks waiting for a table! The meal started out a little rough when the server spilled a full glass of coke on the table, including my iPhone! Fortunately, it was well protected and I quickly dried it off. The mess was cleaned away and we were all glad none of us was any worse for the wear. The server was apologetic and we assured her no harm was done. Fried pickles were excellent! Just a great southern appetizer that we really enjoyed. The bread was good too. We ordered our meals and they came fairly quickly. The dinner salads were well proportioned but some of the lettuce was old/brown and shouldn't have been served. The ribeyes were delicious and cooked just right. It had been awhile since I had a steak and it really hit the spot! I also had the garlic cauliflower as a side...that was excellent! My wife had a chicken salad and was disappointed to find very little chicken in the salad. Other than that, the salad was good. Everyone else in our party was pleased with their meal and all the steaks were cooked as requested. The server was attentive to our needs, kept our drinks full, and checked on us regularly. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars include the salad issues and the following observation. I got the feeling some of the staff members weren't as invested in their jobs as I would have expected. I saw some with looks of disinterest and others who appeared to be put out by their assignments. It might have been my imagination, but I don't think so.
