Well, today's early dinner was less than impressive here at the Longhorn Steakhouse ! After today, it's going to be a very long time if we even dine here again ... We stopped here around 1:45PM and the restaurant was not all that busy, we requested seating in a booth and while they had plenty of booths open, the young lady stated they did not have staff covering them, we waited a few minutes until they cleaned a booth that had wait staff assigned. Our server did not come over for a few minutes and finally arrived and took our drink and appetizer order, drinks and the freshly baked bread loaf arrived a few minutes after that and she then took our food order. It took a little time for our Wild West Shrimp arrived and side salad, both were spot on, no complaints. Our food arrived shortly after that and it was not the best steaks at all, they were cooked correctly but tasted way too Smokey and very Charred, the flavor was horrible !! I had the 20oz. Outlaw Ribeye which I took a few bites and that was it for me, the taste was horrible, like I stated it was over charred and tasted like a greasy dirty grill. The Mashed Potato's were great and the Seasoned Rice was fine. The steak usually has a nice seasoning, but not this one. My wife had the 12oz. New York Strip, she cut into it and took one bite and that was it as well, not good at all. The Asparagus seemed not all that fresh and very poor in preparation. The server never came back until later to check on us, not even to see if we needed refills on our drinks, not sure why the failure in service today ? We never even seen a Manager, which is not normal. The server did remove the charge for the wife's dinner but my charge remained, considering 2 cuts removed and about the entire steak was sitting on the plate. Unfortunately this dining experience really turned us off here and the management needs to ensure food coming out of the kitchen is properly prepared and the grills are cleaned so this does not happen in the future. read more

Today after picking up my vehicle for service and being in need of sustenance, I decided to stop at Longhorn Steakhouse, initially thinking I'd get my standby of Flo's Fabulous Filet. I arrived at about 4pm on a Monday and was immediately greeted and seated. Within 2 minutes my server arrived and asked for my beverage of choice which she brought shortly thereafter along with some fresh bread. Within several more minutes she came to take my order. In those intervening minutes I decided instead upon the salmon which arrived in about 15 minutes prior to which my salad was brought to me. The salmon was served on a bed of rice along with my chosen vegetable which was asparagus. It was good, however in the future I shall likely stick with beef in a steakhouse. The presentation and service was excellent with my server (unfortunately didn't catch her name) bringing refills of my beverage prior to me having to ask. As Arnold said, "I'll be back." read more

The first thing that happened is we walked in the door and was greeted with the most beautiful smile. After being seated a young lovely young lady came up to serve us. She explained everything on the menu. She informed us of ingredients that would be in our salads to confirm that we wanted all of them was very attentive and making sure that our drinks were refilled. The food, oh my goodness, it was so incredibly delicious I'm still salivating and it's 3 days later. I would say my meal was expensive except for the fact that I had leftovers for a total of three meals and a snack. The price was epically cheap. We typically give Longhorn a 5 star review, as far as service goes, they would still get a 5 star review, but the steaks were not that good today. We always have raved about Longhorn because they consistently prepare their steaks just as you ask for them to be done!!!! Today we found the steaks to be a much smaller/thinner cut and they were very charred. This taste was very overwhelming when eating the steaks. My husband commented that their grills needed cleaned as far as flavor. As far as the size, our waitress stated other regular customers also complained about the size of their steaks lately and the charred flavor. They did offer to make our steaks again; however, we really didn't want to wait again. So, they were very kind and paid our bill. And we truly appreciate that. Again, customer service was top notch. Unfortunately, I believe it will be awhile until we return. The steaks we had being $27 and $31, that's a lot if the size of the steaks are now smaller and the price is the same. We always enjoy the atmosphere there. Our side dishes and salads were good. We will give it a try again down the road. read more

Haven't been in for a few years. Last time was really good food and experience. This time - not good. Server was not very attentive. Food runners were carrying too many plates of food without a tray so the food was sitting against their clothes and their fingers were on the plates or in the food. One was carrying bread and was holding it on the board with her fingers. The salad was drenched in so much dressing it was almost soup. The steaks were overcooked and chewy. A very expensive lesson. We had the worst experience today. I ordered a steak medium well and it came to the table RAW. It looked like the cook had it on the grill less than a minute. I let them know and they took it back and as I waited for a very long time, everyone at the table finished their meals. The heavy set white girl server finally brought my steak back and it was a large piece of charcoal and ineatable. She never asked if it was better, never apologized and absolutely was horrible at her job! When she came by I said "what level of steak did I order"? She said medium well. Is said you guys went one extreme to the next! It was raw, which could make me very sick, and now it's burnt pieces of charcoal. You need to take this off the bill. Short wait, but we were at peak Dinner Time time. Nice fellow waiters, quick to be seated. We were right by the kitchen door and the servers were a steady stream. Busy only begins to describe it. Our Waitress introduced herself, Jessica F and we were in good hands. I asked for my steak done black outside, pink inside. Jessica suggested I order it "Pittsburg" style. It came out just like I like it. Now the steaks were done right and nice and hot the veggies and potato not so much, minor but truth. The Spicy Chicken bites were great, well portioned. Ok first of Chain restaurants are not my go-to place but we met friends here. Overall the service was perfect. Water always filled and we had everything we needed. My wife got the Salmon and said it was very good. I got the Ribs and brussel sprouts. The salad was well prepared and tasty. The Ribs tasted great and the meat was fall off the bone so much you couldn't cut them. I will let the Rib connoisseur decide if that's overdone but I liked them. Brussel sprouts looked like they were burnt but most flavorful and tasty. We got there at 5 on a Friday and walked right in but by the time we left there was a big wait. Over all a nice experience. Despite being a little packed I was given my seat almost instantly when I got there. The little table I sat in was really cute and perfect for a one person dinner. I was given some warm fluffy rolls with really delicious whipped cinnamon butter. I ordered a Caesar salad with mashed potatoes as my sides to the 8 ounce sirloin. The price for my meal was not bad, $18 with tip included. The steak was okay, it was a little chewy in a few bites but then tender and easy to eat in other bites. It was juicy, and had nice seasoning on it. The mashed potatoes were basic, not that good, not that bad. The cream gravy I ordered with my meal however, made the whole dish. It was super amazing! Given that the local market is repleat with steakhouses pretending to be from Texas, I can offer no rational reason to recommend Longhorn Steakhouse. I was recently "treated" to a "Ribeye" steak dinner ordered for takeout. It was definitely meat, but I wouldn't share it was beef. It was the toughest pos that I've ever been served. The menu made reference to USDA Choice but I suspect it was a lesser grade than choice. In my opinion, choice is too low a quality grade for restaurants to serve at restaurant prices. I would not willingly patronize this chain again. We should have gone to ROFO for chicken and saved a couple of hundred dollars. The manager, Bill was friendly and greeted every (incoming and outgoing) customer. It was impressive how he managed his crew to work swiftly and with a smiley face. I'm baffled by the negative reviews I've seen about this Longhorn. My wife and I had dinner there last night - New Year's Eve - and while the parking lot was almost full we were seated right away. Our waitress Jessica could not have been more pleasant or helpful, and our meals - filet for my wife, ribeye for me - could not have been more tasty or well-prepared. Salads were chilled and crispy, and the bread was very good. We're fairly new in town so this was our first visit. It won't be our last!! read more

We have gone to longhorn since it opened In Hanover. ALWAYS HAD GOODFOOR AND SERVICE UNTIL TONIGHT, 2-8-24. we get steaks medium well. Always juicy and a little pink. TONIGHT however charcoal outside and dry definitely well well done. Baked potatoes great with lots of butter on. Tonight could hardly find butter, WANTED to ask waitress for extra butter and mu husband wanted steak sauce, OUR WAITRESS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND, WE FINALLY SAW HER COMIG OUT OF KITCHEN WHEN WE WERE DONE AND WE HAD A TABLE OF Six and all needed drinks. We will try again but hope kitchen is not hiring unexperienced cheaper chefs and don't care about how they are cooked. I've eaten at Longhorn at least a dozen times total in MD, PA, NY & FL over the years and today's meal was the most disappointing out of all of them. I ordered a medium rare outlaw ribeye that was nowhere near that - it was solid red all the way though. It wasn't even rare (which I don't mind). It was just wildly undercooked. And the cut wasn't as nice as it used to be. Same with the sweet potato- it wasn't fully cooked. I didn't ask for them to fix it - I'm just not going back. I used to love this restaurant. read more

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of chain places, but during this pandemic, LongHorn has really upped their game. My family has ordered their curbside a few times now, and it's worth noting that it's a bargain for what you get. Four 6oz sirloins, four sides, two loaves of bread, butter, and a giant caesar salad that was fresh and delightful. The steaks had perfect grill lines and were cooked to order. It fed a pretty hungry family of four for only forty dollars. (You'd spend that much just going through a drive-thru somewhere.) Kudos to the manager as well! She delivered the order right to our car with a smile. Really impressed with this establishment! We miss eating out just as much as the rest of the world, but this was a great alternative that we enjoyed on our picnic table in our backyard. Last evening my wife and I accompanied another couple to dinner at the Hanover PA Longhorn restaurant. After waiting an hour for seating, which we did not mind because it was Saturday night, we were seated in the main dining room and then waited for our waiter to visit. Our waiter came quickly, took our drink orders and returned shortly afterword with our drinks. This is where the good service ended. My wife and I ordered an appetizer, our steak and chicken meals, then our company ordered their meals. We did not see our waiter again until our meals were delivered. Our appetizer was never delivered. When our meals were delivered, two of the orders were wrong. I ordered a steak, sweet potato, and brussels sprouts. I did not receive my order of brussels sprouts. Our guests also did not get what they ordered. One of our guests ordered a steak and sweet potato. She did not receive her sweet potato. When dinners were delivered I informed our waiter to remove the appetizer from our bill, because it was never delivered. He told us he never ordered an appetizer for us. This was the last time we saw our waiter until he brought the bill. He never came back to check on our meals, or ask us for refills on any of our drinks. My steak was cook properly, however 1/3rd of my steak was a chunk of fat and was not edible. I was unable to tell my waiter about this because he never checked on us. When we finished our meals we waited, and waited for our waiter to check on us. We sat there approximately 10-15 minutes until he stopped at our table. When he did stop to see us, he simply dropped off the bill and began to walk away. We again were never asked for drink refills and we had to stop him from leaving to ask for some empty dishes to be removed. When we finished our meals we all wanted to see the desert menu. We never saw a desert menu nor were we asked if we wanted drink refills or coffee so we left. Although the food was good, This was not a good experience. read more

First of all, their decoration since you park your car very detail this place has starting by the Longhorns, nice and fancy Country place to dine in and very comfortable. Adequate for large group of people I love their inside decoration and clean place. Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but last night, the LongHorn Steakhouse in Hanover did everything right and, in my opinion, deserves four and a half stars. Since we can't split stars, I'll give 'em 4 for now because there is room for improvement, however little room that is. For instance, while we waited for a table, my wife and I decided to have a couple of martinis at the bar. The drinks were very well prepared; ice cold, with large queen olives, in pre-chilled glasses, which is exactly how a martini should be served. Sure, it would nice if they had a better selection of gins which included, say, Tanqueray No. 10, or Bluecoat, but Beefeaters still works in a pinch. After we were seated at our booth, I ordered the filet stuffed with white cheddar and bacon. I know, don't tell my cardiologist. It came with a Caesar salad and baked potato side. The salad was surprisingly good. Fresh romaine lettuce, with Parmesan cheese shavings, tender, buttery croutons, and just the right amount of dressing. In short, it was much better than I've come to expect at chain restaurants. As for the filet, it was exceptional. It was broiled just a little past what I consider to be "medium rare," but I really didn't care. It was so-o-o delicious! And it was just the right size, so after I finished it, I wasn't so stuffed that I couldn't move. Perfect, in every way. That's why I give LongHorn Steakhouse a good review.
