Every time I'm driving down the 17 I see people going in and out of Longhorn. Last Saturday after our 5k we were HUNGRY! My husband said he wanted a steak dinner so I said let's go to Longhorn. I knew we haven't been so why not. Once we arrived we were sat down immediately I was very happy to not have a wait on a Saturday evening. Once inside it has a dark ambiance sort of like a whiskey lounge. There was a full bar and then decorations that give you the Texas cowboy vibe. I placed an online order from LongHorn Steakhouse for lamb chops with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. After placing my order, I received a link to check in when I arrived. It let me select my pickup parking space and even included a spot to describe my location if all the designated spaces were full, which was really convenient. Once I checked in, it took about 10 minutes for my food to be brought out. I could smell the grilled lamb chops right away, which had me excited to get home and dig in. Everything was packaged well. The mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and lamb chops were all in separate containers, and even the bread and butter were packaged separately. This location has customers that aren't concerned with the idea of parking in the correct location. All of the to go parking spaces were filled with patrons that were dining on the inside. I told the staff at the takeout counter but of course I was already inside and it wouldn't do me any good anyway. First time at this location and man it was busy granted it was a Saturday night at 7 oclock. But upon entering we were greeted immediately an placed on a waiting list for 30 minutes. Overflow parking is available in the shopping center. This place gets busy. We went early, before 5pm, and were seated right away. We requested a booth and it was comfortable. We ordered takeout Friday night and it was incorrect after calling and speaking to a manager they told us their only option to get it fixed was to return it immediately even though it was now after 9 o'clock they remade the order completely incorrect again and expected me to bring it back after 10 o'clock, and we still hadn't eaten at this point, and the manager basically just didn't care and then when we took it back to the restaurant today they treated us so disrespectfully and like it was our fault that they got it wrong both times and we were horrible people that we wanted our money back because this is two meals now that we didn't get to eat, but they definitely charged me for. We went to Long Horns today for lunch with friends. I got the 12oz Ribeye. It was very dry in my opinion but it had good flavor. My wife even agreed it looked dry and not juicy like normal. I've had two great experiences at this Longhorns location within the last several weeks. First visit was lunch, when I dined in at the bar early one afternoon and had the best/friendliest service and a delicious steak with broccoli. They cooked my ribeye perfectly and the broccoli was a great accompaniment. I visited again this evening but I opted for their curbside to-go services. They gave me a pickup time over the phone when I placed my order and when I arrived I checked in via their website. My food was brought out to my car within minutes - the service was very quick and friendly. Food was delicious! This location is near the old Roosevelt mall area near Ortega. It has not been updated, and still carries a very traditional western or cowboy theme. The restaurant was busy for a Sunday evening. We only had a short wait. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. The complimentary bread is always warm and fresh and one of my favorites. I ordered the six ounce filet with a salad and baked potato. Everything was well prepared and came out in a timely manner. As a managing partner, I trust that you will take this matter seriously and conduct a thorough investigation. Last night, we decided to celebrate my recent promotion by dining at Longhorns, which has always been our favorite restaurant. While the food itself was of commendable quality, we encountered several issues with the service that left us dissatisfied. To begin with, we were disappointed to find that no bread was served, a customary delight that we have always enjoyed during our visits to Longhorns. Seeking resolution, we requested to speak with the manager, Miss Dawson, to address this concern. However, we were disheartened by the excessive delay in her arrival at our table, as it took her over 30 minutes to tend to our matter. Upon finally meeting with Miss Dawson, we found her attitude to be quite unaccommodating and unresponsive to our concerns. Rather than offering any viable solutions or attempting to rectify the situation, she resorted to making sarcastic remarks about our enjoyment of the food. Furthermore, when we expressed our disappointment regarding the absence of bread, she dismissively mentioned that it had run out due to high demand the previous day. Given the unsatisfactory service we received and the unsympathetic response from Miss Dawson, we kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and providing a response. This is a go to for business lunches because it's only a few blocks from my office. The food is usually pretty good. The service is usually pretty good. There's nothing outstanding about it but we rarely have a bad experience. I find the management walking around checking things out and making affirmative effort to keep everything flowing and I really like that. The drinks are solid, the bar area is actually quite nice. There's plenty of parking since it's attached to a strip mall. Sidenote, they're about to turn that strip mall into an upscale outdoor mall so they may experience a large upswing in business soon but surprisingly the dining room is always pretty full for lunch and for dinner. I will keep on coming here every couple of weeks because it is convenient, salad, and I know what I'm going to get which is good service and good food at a reasonable price. read more

Two Wonderful Words: Outlaw Ribeye If you are absolutely craving a perfectly seasoned and grilled steak, the Outlaw Ribeye at Longhorn is the way to go. Yes, it is 18 oz. of beautifully marbled, tender and juicy bone-in choice cut beef. I like mine medium rare and it was cooked exactly at the medium rare I expected. This needs nothing else except a fork and knife with which to cut it. It does come with your choice of two sides. I got a side salad and a loaded baked potato and it was one of the best steaks I've had all year. If you're a meat eater and you don't have time or you're just too lazy to go to Publix next door and grill your own at home, this is the next best thing. For about $28 and some change, I experienced total and utter food-orgasm savoring each and every bite of this behemoth of a steak. Total ecstasy... If going solo, I recommend grabbing a seat at the bar. Reliable link in a chain restaurant. Service was superbly friendly! We had a few special requests, (moving tables, extra sauces, modifying drinks, etc) and they were happy to oblige. Food came out prompt with excellent timing between the bread, apps, salad, and main course. The Wild West Shrimp is my go-to appetizer. The little shrimps are crisp, and the mixed peppers give a little zest to the dish. My friend tells everyone its one of the best sirloins she's ever had!! It was her first time branching out below well done, and I appreciate the cooks for nailing the temp timing. Salmon was delectable, and flaky. The salad ingredients were freshhhhhh. First time ever - I tried the feature in the YELP app "Call Us Now To Get in Line". Granted it was midweek and not crowded, it worked great. I'll try it on a weekend to see how well it works. As soon as we were seated our server brought us delicious warm bread. For dinner we had the Flo Filet & Salmon combo, baked potato, chopped salad & Lobster Shrimp Bisque. The steak was medium rare so juicy, tasty & cooked just right. The salmon was seasoned nicely and it was not over cooked, moist & nicely marinated. It had a crispy edge...so yummy. My mom enjoyed the bisque. I tasted it and it was very good. The chopped salad was nothing special. The baked potato was huge. When we finished the bread our server quickly replenished it. Had enough to take home. Everything we had was delicious. Had no room for dessert though - maybe next time. We did not have to rush through dinner, so nice. Best time is weeknight - not too crowded. Update: Decided to come here for dinner last Saturday - They installed signs with numbers for take-out orders, all the spots were labeled so we were under the impression that it was take-out only. Decided to go in and they were seating people. They were sitting people at every other booth, however that doesn't apply to the tables because they sat a party of 6 next to us. Doesn't matter but strange they would enforce the spacing with the booths and not tables. We started off with the Wild West shrimp. It was possibly frozen but was juicy, had a bit of a kick and there was plenty of shrimp. The complimentary bread was warm, the butter was hard and a little sweet. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and my wife ordered the Fire-Grilled T-Bone. I asked for medium but it was closer to rare. The steak knife was probably the dullest knife I have ever used. I didn't ask for another one since our water was still empty. The server came by while putting in someone else's order, apologized about the water and ended coming back to refill. I could personally cook a better steak and for $28 I expected something a bit better. Nonetheless, the food was okay, service was meh and it'll probably be some time until we come back again. This is the 3rd time our group went and all three times our orders came out of the kitchen were wrong and never brought out all at once. One always came after most were finishing earring. My wife's first ribeye was cooked right, but all grissell, and could not be cut with knife. The 2nd one was better meat, but medium steak was brown all the way through. Salads asked for no croutons came with croutons. Dinner salad that came out when more than half every one was almost half done, but it was not supposed to have blue cheese and it was covered. After an unusually long amount of time it came back, but onions were not there and well done steak was bleeding it was so rare. They took meet back to finish cooking it, but they did not bring it back until everyone else was finished eating and wanting checks to leave. She got it on to go box and we left. We never had this problem at other longhorns, but 3 times in a row at Roosevelt. We removed it from our restaurant list. read more
