I have been to this restaurant one other time. It was a pretty good experience about a year ago. Today my husband and I went back for an early dinner. After we were seated we waited about 10 minutes for our waitress. We ordered our drinks and told her we needed a few minutes to look over the menu. She didn't come back for almost 15 minutes. When she did she apologized for being late on getting our drinks. The loaf of bread was barely warm. We ordered our food and asked if we could substitute the salad that came with our meal for soup instead and she said yes. Well we didn't know we would get charged separately for it! Then she said what side did you want so I looked at the menu where the sides were. I chose the Brussel sprouts. Well I got charged extra for that too. My husband chose asparagus and he could hardly get it because it was woody and tuff. He was charged extra for his side too. I also was charged more for the $3.49 beer that was advertised in the menu. When my meal came the shrimp that was supposed to be with it was missing. I don't know if our waitress put the order in wrong, but I got charged extra for the shrimp. I told her the shrimp came with the dinner. When it finally came out I was missing 4 shrimp. I can see this place closing in the future. The waitress had to go in the kitchen and get the bill adjusted and it still wasn't right. It's was 85* outside and the air in the restaurant was very low. I was perspiring as I dined there. We probably will not be going back to this establishment. My husband compared another Longhorn restaurant in Illinois and said it was five times better than Kenosha's Longhorn. He did complain to the waitress and told her to tell the manager it was poorly managed and he will either loose his job or close this place up. So disappointed!

First time at Longhorn. Everything went well. Got a nice booth. Got a good Server (Michael). He gave a good reco for a steak. Nice looking restaurant (brand new). Had the big ribeye med rare cooked on a char grill. My wife had the chop steak. Both excellent. Two good side salads w/ house made dressings (Ranch & Blue Cheese), large tasty baked potato's and warm bread. No complaints. Not sure why this place only has 2 stars but not my experience at all.

Website photo of Kenosha store bar area. It was a nice place. Just not great food.

We ordered several appetizers, and they were all pretty mid. The buffalo shrimp was not cooked all the way through. The batter was still wet. The trio was not served hot. We all ordered our steaks medium well, but every single one came out well done. The main reason I came was for the Monte Cristo, and they had run out, which was extremely disappointing. The only positives were that my nephew enjoyed his burger, and my brother and sister enjoyed their drinks. Other than that, the entire visit was disappointing and a waste of money. Between finding a hair in the food, undercooked appetizers, overcooked steaks, and the restaurant being out of the one item I came for, I do not see myself coming back.

The Brat Stop is the kind of place dive bar dreams are made of. Your options are to sit at the bar (recommended) or one of the booths in the cavernous restaurant areas. There are neon signs everywhere and they play great classic rock music. Our waitress was fantastic ... and older woman whose name should be 'Flo' and was right on the ball. The food is bar food ... Wisconsin comfort food. I had the cheese curds with dipping sauce, which were really good. I have never had fried cheese curds before so I have nothing to compare them to but I thought they were yummy. I had the BBQ brat with sauerkraut and German potato salad. All fantastic ... maybe a little overpriced for what you get ... but really good. I didn't necessarily leave feeling full for $20 but enjoyed my food. They have craft beer on draft from Wisconsin and Illinois. There is also a giant shop attached with local beer, local food products, apparel and of course a really long case full of Wisconsin cheese. Again ... overpriced but it saved me a stop at the Cheese Castle nearby. Overall, this place is the perfect stop off the highway, right in between Chicago and Milwaukee. There is also a stage and seating for bands. I really enjoy places like this. It's kind of like something out of a Tarrentino movie.

I had ordered a steak kabob thinking I would need some A1. I was wrong. It was delicious and well marinated!! If you enjoy vinegar, which I do!! The vegetables were well marinated as well. This is how long I haven't been to Texas Roadhouse, I didn't realize they have the peanuts in a pre-packaged bag. I'm not a dirty soda fan because of how sweet it usually is, but I went for the coconut cream with Coke and it was some good stuff for sure. Not too sweet! My hubs had the pork chops and he can tear up some food but he had half his food left over as well. He did say it was a tad on the salty side but overall good. The food was average, but the service was cold and disrespectful. Even the woman who brought us the food had a terrible attitude. Nobody should feel invisible while simply trying to enjoy a meal with their family. Texas Roadhouse should be better than this.

I want to start by saying that our server Sydney P was excellent. She was friendly, checked on us…read moreoften and had our experience been based on that- it would have been 5 stars! Unfortunately, that is not usually the case with service at El Camino. My husband and I had not gone back in a couple of years after they opened because of consistently bad and rude service. Their food was fine but even the best food isn't good paired with a bad overall experience. We decided to give them another try a few months ago and even though the service was a little better- it wasn't worth keeping them on our weekly rotation. My husband, daughter and I had gone there for dinner on Tuesday and as I said had a wonderful server. Both my daughter and I have had their steak tacos (filet and skirt), even though the flavor was fine, they leave the pieces SO LARGE that you chew forever on a bite of taco. This is not to mention that the tortilla does not hold up well to bites into these large clunky pieces. Because of this, I started ordering the Barbacoa tacos since that is shredded beef. However, my daughter doesn't like Barbacoa so she requested the cooks cut the meat smaller. The food came out and the pieces of steak were as big as ever. When I say that this could be a choking hazard for the best of eaters (let's forget about seniors, children, or people that may have dental issues) I mean these pieces are nearly the size of dice. We asked for a steak knife so that my daughter could finish prepping her own food (though she is not an employee of El Camino, apparently those who get paid to cook there, don't have to accommodate special requests of using their chef knives to cut steak before putting in tacos. As I watched her spend about 10 minutes deconstructing 2 of her 3 tacos and cutting up the meat and putting them back together (as it was getting cold), I asked for a manager. Nick came over to our table with a strange attitude. I said "Are you the manager?", as he did not introduce himself...at all!, he said "yes". I started by explaining that we asked for the meat to be cut smaller. He then starts to get defensive and argumentative saying how "everyone loves that dish", "everyone orders that dish", "There are NEVER any complaints about that dish". I had to interrupt him to explain that we were NOT complaining about the dish but the prep of the meat. He then says "Maybe that dish isn't for you". I said "So NONE of the steak taco dishes are for us because not only our request for safe size pieces was not accomodated but you are telling me that we take it or leave it???" He continued to talk over me and arguing until my daughter (who is very quiet and laid back) got mad and started explaining to him that he shouldn't be talking to his customers that way. Her and her husband order to go often and she explained that at home, she deconstructs her tacos, takes kitchen shears to cut the meat and then has to put them in the microwave to warm them up. Just because people don't complain doesn't mean they aren't unhappy about it. Instead of Nick listening and understanding what we were trying to do, he continued to talk over my daughter, and then snaps at her with "I'LL JUST TAKE IT OFF!". That set my daughter off. None of us needed nor wanted a free meal. We didn't ask for it, nor want it. We told him that. He finally asked what we wanted. I said that all I wanted was to share a suggestion of not only talking to his kitchen staff about accommodating COMPLETELY REASONABLE REQUESTS but to share with the other management our suggestion. That's it. We told him several times that we weren't complaining about the flavor, just the prep and that everything else was fine including the excellent service and that he, NICK, and NICK ALONE has ruined it for us. By the way- the ONLY way I knew his name is that I had to ASK HIM for it... We will NOT be back nor will my daughter and her husband order take out anymore. The food is fine but definitely not worth the complete disregard and disrespect of their customers! There are SO MANY better places that appreciate our business! Nick was on the right track- maybe EL CAMINO is not right for us....or anyone else.
