Had a great time and the food was awesome. Joined the waitlist online and was given a 30 minute wait time for a busy 8pm Friday. Checked in about 20 minutes later and were seated in 10. Timing worked out perfect. Husband had the 12oz ribeye with mashed potatoes. He loved the potatoes and the ribeye was a little fatty but good. I had the 12oz sirloin with asparagus. It was very good. The salads were huge, he had a Caesar and I had the house. Both were drenched in dressing, perfect to my liking. Both steaks cooked to a perfect medium, service was fast. LongHorn Steakhouse was close to the airport and had a good selection of good high protein meals my wife (Jo was craving). When we pulled into a fairly crowded parking lot, I was wondering whether we were going to have to go to plan B... I was though pleasantly surprised to get seated immediately, to spacious booth in the bar area. Our server took our normal iced tea order and then we ordered with Jo getting the Redrock Shrimp, which comes on a bed of rice and one side and a house salad which she opted for the steamed broccoli and upgraded to the Strawberry Pecan Salad for $2.50. I ordered the 8 oz. Renegade Sirloin with a baked potato and the house salad with white balsamic dressing. A loaf of warm crusty whole grain bread with butter arrive to wet our appetites! Our salads came and Jo's upgrade was a huge salad plate chock full of pecans, strawberries and mandarin oranges with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was excellent and Jo thought she could of easily ordered that for dinner topped with grilled chicken and been very happy! My salad was a nice portion with nothing out of the ordinary. The main entrees arrived with my steak being a very good cut but really being medium rather than medium rare but it wasn't worth sending back as that was the direction I would have preferred it to be in and didn't want to waste the food. I met the girls here for drinks on a Friday night. We arrived at about 5. There were plenty of seats and there was no wait. We choose a high top at the bar area. There were no happy hour specials that we were told about. I ordered an upgraded basic margarita and one of the other girls ordered a berry margarita. They were just okay. Mine didn't even have a lime and my friends didn't have a berry but we say others around us had fruit. I guess we could have asked for fruit but a 10$ margarita should come with a garnish. I ordered a house salad and some potatoes. It was okay. I paid for three drinks, two house salad, potatoes and fried pickles and it was $57 dollars without tip. Kind of expensive for happy hour. The commercials always look better, and I learned that the hard way. I never felt like we got the service we deserved. The filet mignon commercials have been grabbing our attention for some time, which is why we finally stopped in. Just stick to what you know. One set of steak was supposed to have some mushrooms on top, as in that was a key advertised part of it that brought us in. The steak came out without anything. Just a plain filet mignon. That was clearly wrong. The server had the kitchen put something over it, but at that point, the person's dining experience was ruined. Of course they were out of certain sides. The drinks were just ok. And our server was Rushmore get out of there - he was out of the restaurant by the time we finally settled into the car. They no longer do honey butter, but they will do sugar in place of honey upon request of the Honey butter or sweet butter. The manager here I am told took the Honey from the budget as a norm to serving bread with honey butter. If they have it they have it. But if not oooooh well. Amid the madness that people are feeling, my family and I decided to eat out after longer than usual day at work. Our adult son is in town and he chose Longhorn because where he lives in Florida, there are none. So I used Yelp to contact them and check in, where they said there was no wait and our table would be ready when we got there in 15 minutes. Cool...or not so much. We got to Longhorn and gave them my name and were told that we were checked in. After five minutes, I asked how long. The young man replied with a snarky "as soon as we have a table big enough for five people". At that point, I expressed how I was told our table would be ready. He offered a high top in the bar area, which we accepted, but I did have a question. I asked how we could sit there with kids when we have been told in the past that kids could not sit in the bare area. His response, classic, "well no one here should ever say that because the only bar area is at the bar". Good to know! So our waitress was ok. She came to the table right away, for our drinks somewhat quick, but waited almost 15 minutes for bread. It got to the point that I had to ask a manger for it. My son ordered the prime rib med. rare, but it came out medium well. He ate it because he's 18 and doesn't complain about free food (that we pay for). I had the outlaw ribeye med rare and it was medium. The saving grace on that was the cauliflower au gratin; delicious! My wife had the ribeye and it as well was overcooked. She also had hairs in her salad. The only two perfect plates were the kids chicken tenders and my daughter's sirloin. They took off 10% for the salad issue, but our service was poor and we didn't bother complaining about the poor cook on the steaks because our waitress obviously checked out after I complained about the bread. Hands down it beats all other steak places out there. Tonight I got to sit and have one of the best servers at the Pooler Longhorn, Alexis. I will always ask for her cause she truly sets the bar for all other servers to follow in any restaurant. Their appetizers are always top notch and the salads are always good. Their NY strip was my choice tonight and it was and always is a well cooked steak and flavorful. I'm not sure why this place has 2.5 stars because every time I've come, I've had the best service in pooler! Let me start by saying the server we had, Jenna is a complete rockstar! From start to finish, this girl smiled, was very professional, and had a very positive attitude. I have a ton of restrictions when it comes to eating out and she took my order like it wasn't even an inconvenience to create my plates. She smiled the whole way, and even held great conversation with us. We got a chance to get to know her a bit which I found very personable. As for the food, the wife had the crusted chicken plate with Brussel sprouts and a salad. Chicken was juicy and the sprouts were crispy and amazing. They didn't have the chicken sandwich I wanted so they made me a grilled chicken plate which was off the menu, to accommodate my restrictions! That's how you service your customers, businesses should never say no to a paying customer! My only concern was the free dessert coupon I received from corporate. When I used it, they mentioned it was used already. I had just received it Wednesday and had dinner Friday. There's no way I could have used that thing. After speaking with the manger she explained the process and how those codes are a one time use. After i explained my side, she handled it for us and still honored the coupon. I truly appreciate the empathy and professionalism Jenny demonstrated while helping us. It's qualities like these that bring customers like me back to your business. I will continue to visit this Longhorn be wise I believe in the leadership here. People have been trained properly from leadership down to the servers. As for all the lower reviews, I can't see what your complaints were about. Lastly, if you're going to dine out and you can't afford to tip your server the standard minimum 20% tip, then please stay home or order to-go. Servers support families on tips. As you can see from my other reviews, We recently relocated from Las Vegas to Savannah. While this Longhorn's location is not T- Bones, they serve good food with service that consistently exceeds expectations. Steak is prepared well, and seafood accompaniments are tasty. The vegetables are not cooked to death, but rather steamed to unlock their flavor with some crunch. Tasteless, poorly cooked steak - formulaic restaurant atmosphere. I normally eat places my research shows me to be good, so I rarely give poor reviews. My choices are tilted towards the 3-5 star end of the scale. This place was a favourite of a travelling companion, so I agreed to come along. I went in with an open mind. My medium-rare New York strip arrived sitting slightly curled up on its plate. It resisted cutting (with a steak knife!) and had no juices visible. Over the course of eating the steak it visibly relaxed - clearly it had not been allowed to rest after cooking. Closer to the middle of the steak the meat became more pink - but this was definitely a medium+ steak. Side of lemon broccoli was nicely tart and helped digestion. This is a Trash LongHorn restaurant! Don't waste your TIME or MONEY! We waited an hour for food and had to ask for our salads after we got our food and they still hadn't come out. My boyfriend asked for a medium rare steak and got a well done steak that he didn't eat because he couldn't chew it. He also didn't get his side of rice. Waitress then tried to kiss our Butts once it was check time. Really pisses me off that the service was so bad because I really like longhorn. Our table was ready before our app came out, but the bartender said they could just bring it to the table when it was ready. We sat, ordered our meals and got our salads. Our appetizer came out after our salads were finished, nice and hot and fresh. The person who dropped off our app apologized for the wait, which we hadn't even noticed since we had our salads to munch on. But apparently the bartender had noticed the wait, as she also came to our table to again apologize that it took 22 minutes (she specified) for our app to come out and gave us a voucher for a free app on our next visit. My husband and I were so surprised because we didn't even feel we had waited that long, but we were super impressed by how attentive the staff was to something we weren't even aware of! To top it off, my husband left his phone on our table and didn't realize it until after they were closed. I called the next morning and the manager informed me that she had my husband's phone in her office, and that it was almost dead, so she would charge it for us. He got his phone back fully charged. Visit this longhorn almost every week. Last month in a half to two, the experience has been awful. Food quality is bad, service quality has deteriorated, and empathy has just completely disappeared. Last time informed waitress and management about the issues and manager accepted it was his fault for dealing the wrong cards in the kitchen by placing the wrong employees in the wrong areas. Lastnight 12/22/2021, visited again and more than 15 items were not available in the menu, and the host did not say anything to us, the waitress did not say anything until after we started ordering. This is not a restaurant I've been to by my choosing, but I've been a few times when I have allowed someone (family/friends) to pick. Upon entering the building, there is an awful odor that wreaks havoc throughout the entire establishment. Even when entering the bathroom, I can't escape that odor of the building, and the bathroom never seems to have soap or paper towels anytime I've been in there; it's always missing 1 or the other. The chicken parmesan and firecracker chicken wraps are good (would've given 1 Star if it wasn't for the chicken parm and chicken wraps), but it's the process of even getting to those menu options is where the issue resides because the initial interpretation of an atmosphere sets the tone for any environment. I see someone from around the corner, make eye contact with me, then continue to talk and laugh with a coworker. It wasn't until I got noticeably frustrated that the woman came out to seat us. (Keep in mind, we are very early, maybe 5pm, so it was not busy at all). She's too busy sucking on a piece of candy to even speak to us. I have to initiate the exchange of words. "2 people, can we have a booth, please?" Doesn't reply, grabs the menus and walks towards a table. We follow. She seats us at a very poorly kept booth that had spilled soft drink all over it (super sticky). We ask her if we can get it cleaned and she cleaned it herself, but we were kind of bothered by the split/cracked old seats... we ask to move to another booth right next to us and she rudely refuses. She told us there was no other option because there were no other waiters....? So the waiter can't take 3 additional steps? We left. Don't waste your time with this place.
