Texas Roadhouse is located next to Red Lobster on Montgomery Crossroads. It has a private parking lot. They also have pickup to go parking in the front of the restaurant. I generally order online or on the phone. Online is the quickest way to order. But if you want to order one of the family meals(they can only be ordered during a holiday) it has to be done on the phone. This is when you need to be prepared for a wait. It can be trying for your patience, heads up. The food is always good. I am a fan of the kids meal. It is the perfect size for me. But when the family meals are available during a holiday(I wish they were available all the time) I order one. It is a great deal.

This is my steak kabobs---so delicious. The potato was coated with salt! I loved that! Also so delicious.

Great service. Our server was so sweet. We were greeted and served so promptly. I ordered the steak kabobs which were delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

They brought over a saddle and sang happy birthday.

The best thing about this restaurant is the consistency. We celebrated my dad's 70th birthday and he wanted a good steak diner, and he got it! Cleared his whole plate! The restaurant was busy, but our waitress was AMAZING!!! I think her name was Tory?!? She was very attentive, incredibly kind, and went out of her way to make my dad smile on his birthday. She even brought out the saddle! She had a smile the entire time we were there--more restaurants need servers with her positive energy!

I had a great experience here, initially the plan was to do take out but once I walked in and saw the hot rolls tempting me under the light I had to dine in. It was 8:35 and they closed at 9:30 but were still happy to take us. The hosts and servers were very nice, but the seats and table top was dirty. They were a bit busy so I just cleaned it myself. Our server was honestly, her only flaw was the lack of napkins. Order: Sweet Tea: PERFECT!! Rattlesnake Bites: Hot and pretty good 1/2 slab of ribs with a Cesar salad and loaded baked potato: the ribs were fall off the bone tender, meaty and had a nice flavor, the Cesar was just okay I should've got my dressing on the side and the baked potatoes was loaded. They cooked the steak perfectly and the shrimp, broccoli and rice were enjoyed. The ONLY downside of this visit was that my seating was ducked off in the corner (which I loved) so the fact that a homeless man walked inside around a couple of corners and approached the table asking for money really disturbed me. My heart dropped because I didn't see him coming and he came so close and talked so low. His smell ruined the whole meal for me so I literally didn't eat anything after the salad.

The pick up/to go line has at least a dozen people in it. Where is management? Most of us paid and ordered online. This is absurd!

The meat was more firm than flaky and I liked that texture. The collard greens and grits were decent. Complimentary Buttermilk Biscuits (5/5): Phenomenal biscuits that were buttery, soft, and moist. The buttermilk added a sweetness that I really enjoyed. Shrimp spring rolls (4/5): Thin crispy shell. Loved that it was just meat inside. The Italian sausage and seafood was a unique flavor combo. Fettuccine (4/5): Surprisingly large portion size. The pasta itself had an ok texture but the flavors of the dish worked really well. I especially liked the sweetness of the shrimp that cut through the rich cream sauce. The refund came through exactly as he said it would. To be clear, the food on my visit genuinely missed, and I'm not pretending otherwise. But Tyler responded publicly, owned it, and followed through completely. That kind of accountability is rare, and it's what earned the bump. Credit where it's due on the space, too -- the ambiance is genuinely great. Warm, candle-lit dining room, an open kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and a covered patio that had a real buzz to it. It's a spot that looks and feels like somewhere you want to be, which is exactly why I'd give the kitchen another shot based on how the owner runs this place. --- Original review (2 stars): Disappointing birthday dinner. Came in for my birthday and left underwhelmed. Our server Troy was the one bright spot -- professional and attentive all night. Caesar salad: Several bitter pieces of lettuce, and no black pepper offered or available. Faroe Island salmon: Overly buttery like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). The baby bok choy was decent until the sauce drowned it out. Braised beef short rib: Tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes tasted old, not fresh that evening. To top it off, my wife had arranged ahead of time for the birthday dessert to be brought out -- the message never reached Troy, so that moment never happened. Troy deserved better than what the kitchen sent out.

The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. We started with a drink called Southern Hospitality and their branded Old Fashioned. Both drinks were exceptional. We accompanied that with Grilled Octopus, which was sensational. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee. The price was very reasonable considering the quality and the service, and should not be missed next time you are in Savanah.

Both dishes were very well prepared and felt thoughtfully put together without trying too hard. The fish on both plates was cooked correctly, portions were solid, and flavors worked well together. With my wife's gluten and dairy allergy, plus my tree nut allergy, Alpha-Gal, and diabetes, we're usually a decent stress test for a kitchen. Staff handled questions professionally and didn't make ordering feel complicated. Atmosphere strikes a nice balance--upscale enough for a date night or business dinner, but still relaxed and comfortable. Service was attentive without hovering. I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.
