On Monday June 29. we went to this steakhouse with a party of nine sign now the place was barely empty we waited about 15 -20 minute the young later told us we had to wait for everyone to get there before she could seat us, well that was fine another party came in and was seated immediately were seated, and other came in and was seated at the same table, a question was asked how could they be seated and we were there before them did they had a reservation, she asked were all our party, ready, one of the ladies said yes except one was in her car on a business call, she said go to the car and get her, I could not believe she made such a nasty statement, then this other waitress came up to the desk and said that the she was just during what her manger told her to do so when they did get ready to seat us they were line up like we were some escape convict ready to break out and run with no smile on their face, so we decided that we did not have to take this kind of treatment or their nasty attuited so we left and went right next door and were treated with the upmost professional respect and our food was on point nice customer service and very professional, the waitress kept coming back to if everything were okay. even the manger went around to every table to see if everything was all right. and when we arrived, we were seated immediately no wait, and this restaurant were busier than longhorn. I cannot understand how people can work in a public place like this with such a nasty attitude, check your employee's and give them a class on professional ethic. We came to this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday, upon arrival the restaurant was empty basically. To sit us they lasted maybe 15-20 minutes. Once sat down we ordered appetizers and some drinks, appetizers arrived and no drinks, drinks finally arrived with the food and they forgot the sangria my wife ordered. We ordered it and again waiting 25 minutes. Food arrived and salmon was bad and looked brown on the bottom. Sad to see a nice restaurant like this and basically no control or wanting a good experience for their clients. Seems wrong to admit I dined in a corporate steakhouse but hey, I've dined in the other local establishments and have nothing else to say about that. We do dine in the Plano, TX on occasion with friends and have to say, pretty good. This had a start. Our waiter seemed less than thrilled to be there. We ordered 2 ribeyes, 1 Ny Strip and a salmon no sauce, plus a couple of appetizers. Three steaks all ordered medium rare, our grumpy waiter stated that they would be red, cool center each time. We received...a medium rare, a medium and a medium well. What??? My salmon had cruelly punished with a steak iron and was only usable as a Brillo pad. My wife and I went to this restaurant and sat down during the dinner hours last week. We shared a steak and it came out overcooked snd burnt; so we requested to speak to a manager about it. The server said he was busy and she tried to help us as much as possible but we needed a manager because this was unacceptable. The manager Lorenzo was extremely rude to my wife about our steak when he finally came to the table. He had terrible hygiene and a very poor attitude towards us. We've had good and bad steaks there in the past and dealt with lots of different managers about them but this was unacceptable. He should not stay employed there for any longer. read more

This is not about the food, the food is good. My husband had been going there because he liked the food and enjoyed the employees. being from Tennessee and working in the area he was an every night through the week customer. The employees knew him by name. One night he left his billfold on the table. He called the next day and YES they had found it. The met the manager she gave him the billfold and he pulled out $100.00 for her and $100.00 to give to the person that found it and turned it in. He said she looked at him funny when he offered her the money but she took it. When he got out to the car he discovered he was missing $800.00. Now he says he just can't stomach to go back, thinking these people were his friend being from out of town and getting to know them pretty well. We went to this Longhorn because Texas Roadhouse was closed. I'm not a huge fan of Longhorn but was intrigued by their lunch options. I ordered the 7 pepper sirloin salad and the French onion soup. The steak was cooked to my liking and so tender and delicious. (it was a little too much pepper for my liking but it is called the 7 pepper salad) The French onion soup was salty but I believe that was from the large amount of cheese melted on top. It was ooey and gooey and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food but felt like the steaks were too expensive for $15 for a sirloin at lunch. They should really have a steak lunch special. read more

I typically try to avoid chain restaurants; but, the client wanted to go. They were able to seat us quickly even though they were pretty busy. I was able to get my chicken sandwich grilled with a side of of shrimp & lpbster chowder. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the chicken was grilled and the chowder was flavorful. We live about 10 minutes from this location, and have been coming here for years. Tonight we had the worst dining experience in over 5 years at any restaurant, and there have been quite a few bad ones. They were slightly busier than normal for a Tuesday night and had about a 15 minute wait. No issue there. Everything was normal until after our server took our order, at which point they vanished into thin air. We enjoyed the bread and my fiance finished her drink. Noone showed up to ask if we needed refills. After about 10 minutes I flagged down an older African American gentleman (that later turned out to be the manager) and requested a refill. By the time the food came out I had finished my drink. Both orders were overcooked, and my fiancé's order was missing the sautéed onions she had requested. The server that dropped off the food was not the one we ordered with. She dropped off the food, made note of the missing sautéed onions, and disappeared. She did not ask if we needed anything else. I really wanted ketchup for my fries. And my drink was still empty. When noone check on us for an additional 10-15 minutes I flagged down the same manager and requested refills and ketchup. By the time my refill and ketchup arrived my fiancée had finished her drink again... This was conveniently ignored. We finished our meal about 15 minutes later. Both our drinks empty at this time. This is when the sautéed onions finally arrived. Too late for them to be part of our meal. We had been here for about 55 by now, were fed-up and ready to leave. At this point our waitress magically reappeared and asked if everything was OK. We told her about the issues with the food, turned down a free desert and asked for a to go box for leftovers and the check. The box arrived right away. Shortly after the manager stopped by, said they had had an issue and that he had been keeping an eye on things as a restult. Then he disappeared. At this point we did not yet know that he was the manager. The check took an additional 30 minutes to arrive, at which point I requested to speak to a manager. Imagine my surprise when the same gentlemen showed up to our table. When I mentioned that this had been the worst dinning experience we had had in years, he went into a spiel about us having had a full meal and he wasn't going to comp it. He was extremely rude and compative. We never asked for a discount. We never asked for the meal to be comped. We would have liked an acknowledgement that the service had been incredibly bad, and an APPOLOGY, not a lecture about them having an issue and us having had a full meal. We will not be back. Took the family out for dinner on a tFriday evening. We initially went to Texas Roadhouse but the wait was 40 min so we came to Longhorn where the wait was only 10 min. The waiter was not nice at all and a little rude. He kept sitting down at the next table to take our orders or even if we were just asking for items. He never smiled at all. The people next to us smelled like weed. It was suddenly clear to me why there wasn't much of a wait here. This place has gone down hill. Longhorn has been our favorite restaurant for years. However, our experience at the Rock Hill, South Carolina location on Friday 4/12 from 5:50-7:10PM was absolutely horrendous. Firstly, the restaurant was out of Miller Light which was not a huge deal. However, the phones were ringing so loudly throughout the entire meal while the staff was standing around. Next, the men's restroom was filthy the spring on the door was broken which resulted in my four year old being slammed by it in the back of the head. We waited longer than usual for our food but didn't think much of it until my husband's steak arrived along with my chidlren's meals. The butter on the top was barely melted which we learned was because the steak was actually cold as well as significantly overcooked (medium well when ordered medium rare). My steak took about eight more minutes to arrive and was also overcooked (extremely well done when ordered medium). We send both steaks back and told it would be about 15 minutes for new ones. Finally, my husband's steak came out and it was overcooked again but we decided to see how mine turned out. The manager just set it down and walked away. After about ten more minutes, we told the server just to forget my steak because our kids were getting cranky and we had to go. The manager almost refused to take them off the bill and brought my second steak out which was overcooked again. He then snatched it off the table. There was never an apology or acknowledgement from him. We actually wrote these concerns on our receipt if you wanted to see. We cannot believe how much this restaurant has gone down hill. We were absolutely shocked. The management is awful. Our server was nice but also failed to clear dishes and little things that could make a dining experience more enjoyable. After spending over and hour and a half at the restaurant, neither of us even got to eat a steak. read more

The hostess kept messing with the "waitlist reservation" even though I had already checked in physically to change the amount of wait time there was for a table. If you are ever in the mood for a good ribeye, this is the spot to go to. Ribeyes are usually known to be fatty but mine had just the right amount on it. The steak was a perfect med rare and it was seasoned beautifully. I'm a sucker for Kraft Mac and cheese but I do know the steakhouse Mac and cheese is also really good. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. They had the right amount of crispy to them without being over cooked. If they added some crispy bacon to them I bet they would be even better. As he described himself....not so much. So the food was really good. The steak was really good. Just too much pepper. Enough pepper to kill your taste buds. The brussel sprouts were good too but VERY DRY! The Sweet potato was glorious. There was so much pepper in my steak I went through a glass of water pretty quick. What I'm assuming the was the manager a woman with blonde hair she was very nice as well. I'm not even sure where to begin... But this entire experience culminates with the steak I've attached in the photo. I'm want to preface this by noting that I worked in food service for over 15 years, including being a general manager of a restaurant in a large city. At 6PM, I called ahead to check on seating for a party of 8. They said, "when do you want to come?" I said "How about 7:30pm". They Said "that sounds great check in when you get here". Well guess what... we showed up at 7:30 and they told us it would be a 40 minute wait. 40 minutes go by and they say another 20-25 minute wait. During all of this I ask why It's so long when I called ahead... They said "it would be even longer if you would have just showed up". At this point... there were NO people left waiting for a table. So I'm not sure who who we 'beat out' for a table by calling ahead so early. (We didn't leave at this point because we had already invested so much time in waiting that going anywhere else would have taken even longer). We were finally seated at 8:50PM. We got seated and having had ample time browsing the menu, ordered immediately. Our drinks arrived... then, eventually, our bread arrived... then our entrees arrived. But no salads. Our server was as confused as we were and went to check. After 10 minutes she came back and informed us that they were out of salads. Now, that seems like something that should have been noted when the last available salad went out. But then they discovered they have "to-go" salads prepared that they could give to us. Salad crisis adverted. Now about this meal of mine. You'll notice that there is no side on the plate. Thats because I ordered a baked potato with butter and sour cream. Instead, I received a semi-raw sweet potato WITH SOUR CREAM. Again, our server was great and immediately fixed the back of house mistake. But this steak... Initially my plate was switched with my girlfriends (meaning the employee didn't know the difference). She had ordered a 6oz sirloin and it looked nearly identical to my 12oz ribeye. The only difference being a slight size difference. I asked my server if I had indeed been given a ribeye, to which she confirmed. I asked her to send the manager over. The manager confirmed that this is indeed a ribeye. She informed me that they no longer cut their steak in house and instead receive them dry vac' d. THEY THEN COOK THE RIBEYE ON A FLAT TOP GRILL. That was probably the most unbelievable part. This is a very, very low quality cut of meat and its cook on a flat top. It is absurd to charge $23 for this entree at a steakhouse. I had a childhood fondness for Waffle House. And when I go for the occasional hungover breakfast, I would expect this quality of steak from the Waffle House steak and eggs breakfast. It would be a perfect hungover $12 breakfast meal. If this sort of food is what is to be expected from the Longhorn brand nationally, I will never set foot in one of these establishments again. There are plenty of other chain steakhouses to choose from, and I strongly suggest you also choose another option. read more

This is the WORST steak I have ever had here. A 12oz strip and comes out over 50% is pure fat, definitely not worth the $22 price tag.That is crazy, I know there is some fat on steaks but come on now. The service was about 1.5 out of 10 and that is an improvement from the last time we had this waitress. I have came to longhorn for many many years but the last few times I've been here it has been highly highly sub par. I am very disappointed with longhorn cant say I'll be in a huge rush to come back. My friend order a steak and tater. When plate came out the plate was filled with juice from the steak. Now we all know there is little bit of juice from steak is ok but not when it covers the entire bottom of the plate.so had to get extra plate just to eat without juice. I've had better from Longhorn. White the hostess was nice and the waiter was attentive (refilling sodas without asking and getting my 'no ice' right every time), the food was what let me down today. I went with the chili and a Caesar salad. The chili was barely warm and I found a sliced carrot in the Caesar which didn't belong. Plenty of thinly shaved cheese was nice though. I didn't complain, because my table mate enjoyed his meal and I did not want to appear as one of "those people." I went early to the restaurant, around 4:00, and sat in a booth to dine alone. The waitress Cassey took my appetizer order, got my drink order, and brought some bread. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent! Full of flavor. The cheese sauce was an excellent accompaniment to the warm bread. Cassey came back and took my entree order, t-bone med rare, steamed broccoli and homemade blue cheese dressing on my salad. Cassey timed the delivery of everything perfectly so no dish crowded another. The steak was done to perfection--I don't think I've had a steak that good at Ruth Chris or any steakhouse. Perfectly red/pink and so juicy. Heath was the chef at that time. Thanks Heath! I'm a fast eater and the service was a bit too quick for me. The onion soup was rather good. It wasn't very salty or sweet, and I was expecting one of those flavors. There weren't many onions, and it seemed like there were two slices of bread in the soup. The cheese that topped it was melted but resembled a Kraft slice. The salad was fresh and contained a lot of croutons and tomatoes. An ample amount of dressing was provided. As expected, the blue cheese dressing is fantastic! The downside of the salad is that it contained a lot of center yellow bits, also known as the bitter core of the salad that should never be served. The Parmesan crusted chicken was just OK. The bottom of the chicken was cooked well, dark, and was hard to cut with a knife. The chicken wasn't trimmed well and I ended up spitting out a lot of fat from the chicken. Ordered a lobster tail add on, it didn't come with me meal so the kind waitress went and put it in. Comes out, so rare and gross, entire meal was ruined. Our waitress was very kind, however, it it was clear she was worried more about getting her closing chores done than handling any type of customer service. Bills were all messed up. Took forever. Summer has been so busy and we thought it would be a good idea to slow down and enjoy some family time with dinner at Longhorn. Before the pandemic, this was one of our favorite places to eat. Also, to be fair, we usually have a positive experience. We ordered (2) Parmesan crusted chicken, Salmon, and ribeye. Everything was good except the ribeye. I have been saying for weeks that the quality of meat has declined in grocery stores but I never expected at Longhorn. The steak was hard to cut, chewy, loaded with membranes and grisly. I was very disappointed. This wasn't totally the locations fault, but Longhorn in general. Our bill was $90. The ribeye dinner was over $22. Not worth it. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. My husband and I ordered our steaks medium. They come out cooked too death, like leather to chew. The waitress noticed I had only eaten a few bites and asked if I wanted a box, I said no it was over cooked. Her response was "I'll get you a box". My husband and I ordered 2 NY Strip Steaks to go at $25.29 each, from Longhorn Steak House, Rock Hill, wanting to enjoy a quiet evening at home. Needless to say, after driving across town to pick up our order, had to wait an additional 30 minutes from the original given pick up time, but what really angered us was, when we got the dinners home, the steaks were burnt so bad, that one half of my husband's steak cracked when he attempted to cut it. It was so burnt it was as black as the container they placed them in. We called back to report this debacle, and was told that "they were busy, and the chefs are doing the best they can." Mind you, this is the third time this has occurred and each time, they want to throw gift cards at the problem. If this is their best, they need to be fired!!! I will be contacting the Head Quarters as this is the 3rd time. Take my advise, if you want a steak done right, go to Texas Roadhouse, and the steaks are bigger and cheaper. read more
