My husband and I normally love our experience at this particular outback but today was a different story. We did curbside pickup. My food was over-salted and made it hard to eat. Yet again, my son chose this place for his usual B-Day dinner. Unlike our last visit a year ago, I noticed just how packed the place was this time. I also noticed that the menu changed yet again...and noticed something that caught my fancy. I'm not a huge fan of Margaritas, but they had this cute flight that was less than 10 bucks...so had to try it! For the meal, I went with the Bloomin' Burger with Fries. My husband ordered Outback Ribs, and my son ordered Bloomin' Fried Chicken. We also got the Bloomin' Onions for starters. To my surprise, there was an improvement in the presentation of foods. Not all, but most of the foods delivered to our table looked pretty good. I was especially impressed with one of the new additions to the menu...this "Boomarita", the flight of Margaritas. Not only priced super-friendly, they were pretty good (especially the Mango!). Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with the burger...and only ate about half of it. The fries were too salty as well. Think I mostly enjoyed the Bloomin' Onions (though a bit too salty there too), the complimentary bread and the "Boomarita". As usual, my son lapped everything up with relish...and so did my husband. In addition to an improvement in the presentation of the foods and some good new additions to the menu, the service was pretty solid (though slow t times). Excellent experience tonight at Outback. Our server Jake was above and beyond. Best service we've had in years. He was attentive, proactive, friendly, and above all genuine. It was refreshing and a great experience. Our food was great and Jake kept the drinks plentiful. He treated us from the start to the finish like we were in a luxury steakhouse. He made sure everything ran beautifully by allowing us all the time we needed for each course. The food was delicious. We later requested the Manager so we could tell her what a professional server Dillon was. The quality of Outback's really varies by location. Some I would never go back to, while others are ok. This location in Rock Hill, SC, was quite good and just what we were looking for at the start of our recent road trip. The restaurant is a quick walk from the Marriott Courtyard we were staying in, so that was perfect. It was a beautiful evening so we ate outdoors. We decided to order salads and appetizers (had to get the blooming onion). Everything was delicious, especially topped off with a couple of Heineken's! Service was very friendly. We went out Saturday for an early dinner at Outback on River Run Ct. in Rock Hill, SC and it was excellent! We were seated right away, served quickly and the food was better than ever! Our salads were almost a meal in themselves and very fresh. We both ordered the Prime Rib (the 12 oz. cut) and it was just and flavorful and so big we could have shared it! So good to see a place that we go to now and then is getting better than ever!
