We arrived 3-4 minutes early, but food was brought out to counter almost exactly 15 mins. We got ribs, 1lb. Of pork bbq, fried okra and baked beans. BBQ was very favorable with a nice smokey taste. Okra was first thing to disappear, baked beans I did not try, so really can't rate them, and to be honest, ribs are still in fridge to be eaten soon. We haven't been back here in a long while...and it was clear things went downhill. First of all, we went on a weekend night, and the place wasn't as crowded as it used to be. Also the lighting was weird (dim and hazy?), and no music overhead. It took FOREVER to order our foods in line, despite a smaller crowd. The reps at the counter were just SOOO slow! Then this continued in the actual delivery of our foods. We waited WAY too long. I don't recall waiting this long in the previous visits. I got the BBQ plate, which came with a choice of 2 sides and a Texas toast...and my husband got the Half Chicken plate. We also got a side of Fries to share. The things that stood out as being really bad was the Macaroni and Cole Slaw. Also, my BBQ just didn't taste as good as before....it was greasy and bland. Luckily, I dumped a ton of sauce. The fries were good, but were barely warm. Fried Okra was too greasy. Texas Toast was good, but it was a tad smaller than most Texas Toasts I've had in the past. Ordered in the app on the fly, driving by because I loved the BBQ here in the past. Happened to see a wing Wednesday deal so I ordered it. 6 wings, fries and a drink for $6.00. App said it would be ready in 5 min. So I went in. A friendly young lady checked me in but after a few minutes she checked on it and said my order was lost or mixed up so they were making it now. She was great in figuring that out quickly. Food came out soon after that. Everything tastes good overall. I probably would not order fries as a side again, they weren't my favorite. Boneless Wings are a good size, which doesn't happen a lot of places. I did order half hot honey buffalo and half parmesan but only got the hot honey buffalo. No biggie, I just kinda felt like trying both. Only complaint would be sticky and dirty looking floors. And I wish the boneless wings were covered in the sauce more. Some parts had none. Very good barbeque. After stopping at Walmart, we wanted to grab lunch, and chose Shane's as a quick option. It's literally across the Walmart parking lot in a little strip mall setting. Don't let that fool you, go in anyway. We knew we were having pork tenderloin for dinner at home, so we opted for the barbeque chicken. We both went with the chicken cut in chunks, and it was the right choice. My wife went with hers on a Shack potato, and I went with a bun. It was cooked great, very tasty and moist, and the original sauce they have is very good. The sides were excellent; ours were hush puppies, green beans, baked beans and potato salad. Now that I've written the review, and thought about the experience....I have to go back and change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Try this place. read more

We used to come to Shane's quite often. This visit, well it's been a little disappointing. The beans were the only warm thing on the plate, with an entire green pepper that was cored and cut in half. The BBQ was ice cold. Normally, I dont mind the $1.00 upcharge for sweet potato fries but they seemed scorched, for the lack of a better word. Server told me that's just how they are. Hmmmm. The ambiance? No music. No TV. Service, courteous and nice. Brought food and that was the last time we saw anyone in dining area. Only 4 tables at 6:00 on a Friday night. Very cold in the dining area. Maybe times are tough and you're cutting back? Sadly, we don't plan to return. Good luck to this location. read more

My husband suggested that we order BBQ from Shane's this year, after receiving an email advertising the special, so I agreed. We decided to choose the more expensive option, for $47.99, since more food was included in the price: - Mega Meat Family Meal - Just $47.99 (Reg. $55): Includes 2 Half Racks of Ribs, 1 LB of Chopped BBQ Pork or Chicken, 2 Large Sides, Bread, and our Signature BBQ Sauce. - OG Family Meal - Only $32.99 (Reg. $40): Includes 1.5 LBS of Chopped BBQ Pork or Chicken, 2 Large Sides, and a Gallon of Tea. When the order was placed around 9:30am (5/11/25), for pickup at 1:30, who would have ever thought there would be such a huge "mess-up". First of all, we arrived at 1:20, so my husband went ahead and headed into the restaurant to pick up the order. Upon entering the restaurant, he checked in and gave them our name so the staff would know that he was there waiting for our food. Of course, there were quite a few other people waiting for their orders....which was to be expected, since it is Mother's Day. As the food was brought out from the kitchen and bagged up for the customer, the persons name was called so the person could get their food and be on their way. When "our" food was brought out and bagged up, no name was mentioned, instead was just given to the cashier which she just set it on the counter behind her. Some time after that, the manager came out from the kitchen, noticed the bagged food just sitting there and asked whose food it was/why it was still there. My husband found out it was our food and told the manager that he had been waiting for 30 minutes. The manager handed him the food, offered him an apology and a gift card for a free, small dessert. It should have been more than 1 gift card considering the amount of time he had to wait. After getting the food ALL the way home, we discovered that 1 of our Large Sides (our baked beans) was missing. That is something that the employees should check, to make sure the order is complete, before it leaves the restaurant. We usually get the chopped pork meat, which is ALWAYS shredded, but decided to go with the chicken this time. The chicken was not shredded, cut in HUGE chunks, was very tough/chewy to eat and some pieces were fat/grizzle. Definitely not a very enjoyable meal and a ruined meal. Can't call the restaurant to make a complaint due to how busy the staff is today so HOPEFULLY this message gets sent to the manager and I get a response back. read more

Now the shredded BBQ pork, it was cold. The peach cobbler was much hotter than my shredded pork. The cobbler could use some help; it tasted like really hot canned peaches. They don't put any bbq sauce on the pork, so they should give twice the amount of BBQ sauce. Once the sauce is applied, it's very much delicious. We frequently stop by Shane's for quick BBQ. Usually BBQ is tasty & service is fast. Last Tuesday Night was a Half Rack Rib BOGO night & we planned to dine in. The dining room had water over a large portion of the floor & many tables were blocked off. The majority of the tables had been cleaned. Had such a terrible attitude. Gave her the benefit of the doubt due to the virus situation making people tense...all the food, checked in the car, was completely cold...I ignored that fact and simply wanted my fries the way I ordered them on the side and with an attitude she threw them out in the lobby restaurant area trash and walked in the back. The front area girl, I believe her name was Shannon, yelled one complaint "not I have to change the trash cans" and the girl who stormed in back replied "so what?!" ....wow....I expect more from Shane's....this all has been such a unprofessional experience and they won't find me returning...defiantly not considering thats how they treat people not even sitting in house. On a whim we decided to head out later than normal to eat supper and Shane's is new to our area and about 25 minutes from our house. Hubby and I both ordered the sampler platter with ribs, chicken tenders and your choice of pulled chicken or pulled pork and then two sides. Hubby chose the pork, mac n cheese, and hush puppies and I got chicken, fries and side salad. At 11.99, it's quite a bit of food, and I ended up not eating the two tenders and brought them home. Ribs were good, I'd get them again, I'd pass on the pulled chicken. Hubby liked the tenders as well as the pulled pork, which I tasted and preferred over the chicken (the tenders have what I called fish camp batter on them which I did taste) Hush puppies were good, though hubby said he felt 5 was a skimpy number for a side option. Fries were ok nothing exciting for sure and the side salad was iceberg lettuce with 2 cucumbers and a sliced in grape tomato. Store package of honey mustard was my choice of dressing and it was ok. I didn't like any of the four offered BBQ sauces, but hubby said the mustard based was his favorite. Wait staff calls your name and brings your food and then we got a couple of walk bys to see if we needed anythinf and what looked like a manager refilled my water (it's help yourself normally) We left a tip in the tip jar, rounding out at our me at about $31. For the quantity of food that'll do, but for order at the counter and wait for your name to be yelled fare, it was a bit of a stretch. However, knowing the items I liked I'd go back and order more selectively next time. It's a welcome addition for not quite fast food, not quite sit down option in our small town. Today is April 19, 2020. We decided to give the daily deal a try. We should've received 1 pound of pork, brisket, 1 rack of ribs, smoked sausage, sweet potato fries, Brunswick Stew, and Mac & cheese. We didn't get the brisket and received fried okra instead of sweet potato fries. The smoked sausage was over cooked, the okra was cold, and the ribs were dry. We were very disappointed. This is the first time we've had a bad experience, but we usually eat inside. If you are going to offer take-out, it's got to be better than this. I hate to give this review, but I think if you don't know what you are doing wrong, you won't know to make it right. We will be back but with caution. read more

Had lunch here for the first time today and was not disappointed. The service was quick and friendly and the food was great. I got the Smothered Pork sandwich which was topped with coleslaw and it was very good. It is nice to have a place in the Rock Hill area to get a good BBQ sandwich. My only complaint would be the coleslaw to BBQ ratio. It could have used a little less coleslaw so that it didn't overpower the barbecue, or I guess you could always add a little more barbecue. read more

On Sunday I was in the mood for some barbecue! I decided to get Shane's Rib Shack! My wife needed to go by Food Lion first so I was going to order my food while she was getting some groceries! Unfortunately my phone died! When she got back to the car I decided to call in my order! When I called a nice young female waiter answered the phone! She was kind and took my order! Thats when things went southbound! She said her system was running slow (that was no real problem since we were driving a bit to get to Shane's). Then her system froze up! I waited atleast 15 on the phone and the problem never was corrected! By this time I arrived at Shane's and I told her I would just come in! When I got inside they were still dealing with the system rebooting! Instead of entering my order in another terminal ( or atleast calling the order in the kitchen!) the seemed more worried about why the terminal wasn't rebooting! So after another 10 minutes they had to redo my order on another terminal! After that I wait at least another 20 minutes for meal! I remained patient! My order was $40 ( rack of ribs, cheeseburger and chicken tenders! When I got home I was highly disappointed that the ribs were inedible! They were like so dry on the bottom of the ribs! I've never had this problem here before! I was highly disappointed especially with the price of a rack of ribs! I was to tired to take them back so me and my son had to make due without one of the main dishes of our meal! I called and asked for the manager and she did apologize and offered me a free rack of ribs! That was nice but I would of rather had my money refunded! It was very inconvenient! The rest of my meal was excellent but may reconsider next time ordering the ribs! read more

My 1st time trying Shane's and it was good. I had the Smoked Wings (Medium) and Mac and Cheese. The wings were tasty and fell off the bone. The only reason I didn't give 5 Stars is that a few of them were SUPER tiny (at a buck a wing that's disappointing) and the wings were a bit salty. The Mac and Cheese was tasty. I ordered the peach cobbler and it was mostly breading and very few peaches..tasty though. I'll definitely be back to try ribs, sandwiches etc. read more
