    6oz. Flo's Filet with broccoli

While working in the area I decided to have dinner at this restaurant because of the good steaks they have. Nicole took my order of a house salad, Flo's 6 oz steak and broccoli. I ordered the steak medium rare and you could just about cut it with a fork. The broccoli was also cooked and seasoned well. The side salad was filled with fresh bite size vegetables. The service was good and the restaurant is clean. It was also pretty full for a Tuesday evening.

We've always loved coming to LongHorn and have never had an issue before--until tonight, and it was a big one. It was my best friend Mandee's last night visiting, and we chose LongHorn because it's always been a reliable go-to. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely ruined by unacceptable behavior from the manager, Emeleo. Mandee ordered her steak medium, and it came out blue rare three times. The first plate was so raw the waitress gasped when she saw it. Mistakes happen--that wasn't the real issue. The problem was when the manager came out and immediately got defensive and rude. Mandee had been incredibly sweet and patient, even apologizing for the trouble when she shouldn't have had to. Instead of helping or showing any concern, he was combative and dismissive--like we were the ones causing a problem. I had to step in and say something because his attitude was completely out of line. As regulars, we were shocked at how poorly this was handled. The food can be great, and the servers are usually wonderful--but management like this is unacceptable.

The food was delicious. Salad fresh cut greens, red tomatoes, crunchy croutons. The bread for starters was right out the oven. The waiter was knowledgeable, nice and polite. He made sure he refill our drinks. Steak was just right, and juicy. A red warm center. Chicken tenders are all white meat serve with honey mustard. Location is perfect for family and friends. Food 4:5 ,service 5:5, ambiance 5:5.

I gotta say the service here is amazing. Our waiter Reece and excellent manners. He knew all about the menu and didn't try to just sell us the most expensive . He recommended the outlaw ribeye which was a little price but not bad. Gotta say one of the best steaks I've had. Reece was on top of all the refills I wasn't able to finish a single drink before getting another. Every time I go back I'll be sure to ask for Reece.

The only picture I took the house side salad.

What do you do when you know all the good restaurants are closed because it's a Monday. For those who don't know, some establishments are closed on Monday's ( or Tuesdays) so they have at least one business day to reconcile all business transactions for the previous week. This is commonplace for small businesses. Anyhoo, I know that longhorn is part of the Darden family and dare I say it, it is one of the better places to dine than the other sister stores (with the exception of capital grille). Since I'm on a two week business trip which takes me to western Virginia (Warrenton). Started out with a nice house salad and the. Moved onto another longhorn staple. The bourbon marinated salmon. I requested the crispy Brussels sprouts and I was very happy. Simple does as simple does. Enjoyable, nutritious, and filling. Not so filling, I also had the strawberry shortcake, which was a disappointment, the "cake" was definitely not shortcake but a cake of some sort.the sauce and fresh strawberries satiated me so I won't complain too loudly. It's good, it's reliable, it's always available. If there was an Olive Garden, I would never go!

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.

From the moment we sat down, I was handed a personalized menu noting my birthday -- and truly, details matter. We started with a few apps, delicious cocktails, and of course, their wine program is out of this world, really showcasing the beauty of Virginia wine. You can't go wrong here. The smash burger was a hit, and I especially loved the asparagus and gazpacho. It felt like a little adventure around the farm, with a serious slam dunk on comfort food. Best part: they didn't flinch when I mentioned my allergies. They went out of their way to curate dishes for me, even off-menu, which I appreciated so much. The service was superb, attentive and knowledgeable. We started with cocktails which thankfully were not overly sweet. The starters were excellent - tomato & peach salad, fried corn ribs, and loaded crispy potatoes were especially good. For dinner we had the lamb meatballs, bison steak and Cobia. The Cobia was a little overdone and dry, as were the lamb meatballs, but the tomato curry sauce on the pasta was superb. It paired well with a nice Italian Barolo. The deserts were very tasty - a seasonal berry sundae and a deep dish brownie. Overall we loved the service and the fresh local ingredients. But the entrees didn't live up to our expectations after the starters. Next time we'll try the tasting menu, as I suspect that part of the menu is getting more love and attention from the chef

I ordered the steak frites, and every bite was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crisp and flavorful, and even the horseradish crème fraîche was incredible. The service was excellent throughout the meal. Our server, was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She was one of the highlights of the experience. We started with the steak tartare. It was decent, but a little saltier than I would have preferred. My biggest complaint was that the accompanying bread wasn't brushed with butter or olive oil, which made it feel a bit dry and out of place alongside such a rich dish. One thing that was disappointing was the portioning of the shareable sides. The menu describes them as serving 3 to 4 people, but in our experience they were much more realistically sized for about two people. That was frustrating, especially given the overall price point. For our entrees, we ordered the ribeye, bavette, and New York strip. All of the steaks were cooked well, but I found them to be good rather than great, especially considering the price point. They just weren't particularly memorable. The ribeye, in particular, leaned a bit too far toward fatty rather than beautifully marbled, so there was more unrendered fat than I would have liked. The steak sauces were enjoyable, but they also didn't stand out in any significant way. They were well made, but nothing especially unique or memorable. Overall, I enjoyed the evening, the atmosphere, and the exceptional service. However, for a steakhouse at this price point, I expected to be more impressed by the food. Everything was solid, but nothing really wowed me or left me thinking, "I can't wait to come back." It is disappointing to have buyers remorse from such a nice restaurant.
