So the food at Claire's is delicious and the service is also good. Our experience here was less than great only because of how incredibly HOT it was in the restaurant. We visited here on July 2, 2026, which in all fairness had record temperatures and the feels like was somewhere around 105. Sadly, the "feels like" was somewhere around the same temperature INSIDE the restaurant, at least where we sat. Claire's is an old building so I am thinking we perhaps were seated in a pocket with zero air flow. The wine selection is nice, as are the craft cocktails. Had the temperature in the restaurant been tolerable, I have no doubt this would be a 4 or 5 star review, but the heat was incredibly distracting. read more

Ours was a delightful evening in celebration of a successful real estate settlement. Our reserved table was ready upon our arrival, and we were promptly welcomed to dine by our server, Brandy. The daily special appetizer of a puff pastry bake stuffed with spinach & artichoke, along with fresh baked bread set our expectations for the best in taste, and creativity all evening. A few items worth mention include perfect key lime pie - and that's saying a lot because I grew up in Florida, tender filet mignon, and an orzo side dish with zucchini. I was pleasantly surprised by the cranberry martini. We will be back in about three months to see what yummy flavors await us this fall! However, I gave the rating based on my overall experience compared to all places I've been to but not to this specific town. 1. I'm not sure how my wife and I get pulled into Claire's except for the reason that family want a high-end restaurant in warrenton. That being said the food is decent and service is mediocre at best. Living in Miami now I see how high-end restaurants are supposed to be run and something simple as asking if there's any food allergies is what's expected. However today was a little different - I asked for a table - the hostess stated all the tables were reserved, I pointed to a table in the corner-table is reserved for 1pm she stated, so I sat at the bar. The 1PM did not show I guess-but what I witnessed her do to 1 of the waitresses that I was speaking to was completely unacceptable. She brushed it off as joking-and proceeded to start talking to the couple next to me. What she did and how she acted was so rude!!! Fantastic service, food, and drinks. Each main dish at our table was nicely plated, plenty of sauce, and paired well with the veggies on the dish. The she-crab soup is creamy, chock full of chunks of crab, and just a small peppery taste. Did find one small shell piece in my soup but wasn't surprised as it is a shellfish. I had the spring green salad with balsamic reduction and bleu cheese. I am not a bleu cheese fan so was disappointed to see the cheese but then I tried it with the balsamic reduction and it was perfect. The cheese didn't have the normal stickiness nor moldy taste-- the pair really worked well with the berries, nuts, and dates. I would return for that salad. The curried vegetables with chicken were not spicy. Similar to an Indian yellow curry flavor, this platter was heaped with veggies, a ice cream scoop sized dollop of rice, and a full chicken breast sliced. I enjoyed this dish and the meal was large enough for a full-sized lunch the next day. I finished off the meal with the flour less chocolate cake. This is drizzled with a raspberry-jam-like sauce and whipped cream. Very decadent and rich. Perfect size for sharing. I took half of mine home so I can enjoy it a second time. Everyone on our table said their dishes were delicious and we were impressed with the nice service and surroundings. Glad we made a reservation as it was a little busy when we came in around 7 pm with our table of 5 people. read more

Thoroughly unimpressed. Right off the top, parking is VERY difficult. Lot is small and jammed with people who can't seem to park in a straight line. Drove around the block a couple of times before squeezing into a small curbside spot. I'd been wanting to try Claire's for quite some time but, for reasons I now don't understand, it's hard to get a table on the weekend. So when my friend was available on a weekday, we made a reservation for a late lunch. I was excited to finally see what the fuss was all about. I'm still wondering. Our waitress was thoroughly unenthusiastic and once she knew I had celiac disease and couldn't eat gluten, she could barely contain her annoyance. The options she offered, with a shrug, were the burger without a bun and "anything you see with bread--we can just take that away." Celiac disease isn't that easy to accommodate. You can't just "take away the bread" and make a dish celiac-friendly. She didn't understand that and had no interest in my concern about cross-contamination. I took a risk and ordered the angus burger, which arrived sans bun (as requested) and was HARD AS A ROCK. The thing was a hockey puck. I could barely chew it. On top of that, it was barely warm. My friend got the crab cake, which she said was average. Service was glacial. My creme brulee was SO unimpressive. Of her mixed berry crisp, my friend said "meh." I'd have ordered another glass of wine if our waitress had ever reappeared. I don't get it. What's the draw? We will definitely not be back. read more

Went first time last week during Restaurant Week for lunch. They had fixed menu but let you order off lunch menu. Asked for recommendations and server said quiche was amazing. She was right! It was more like a cheesecake quiche given how tall it was. Sun dried tomatoes, prosciutto and other goodies that went so well together. It was the best quiche ever. So fluffy & light. MY KIDS WERE POISONED BY RAW CHICKEN. We were sitting outside at about 7pm, it's started getting dark and after ah hour wait they finally brought my kids mashed potato's and chicken tenders. Kids ate it because were so hungry (it took an hour to cook 3 small pieces of chicken) but then kids complained saying that chicken is stuck in their teeth, when I cut it I saw a RAW meat inside. I called the waiter and asked for a manager and after 10 minutes of waiting nobody came. I went inside to speak with her and she was like: "Oh, sorry, I will talk to our cook". Are you serious? You have 3 dollar sign rating and you serve raw meat to children?!! I went to the doctor with the kids, because they both threw up on the way home. This is just ridiculous! I wrote a letter to the health department, reporting this "fancy restaurant" As I read reviews it's not the first time this has happened. read more
