I just visited this place today with a friend and loved it. We arrived at about lunch time and stayed for quite a while. The servers were sweet and helpful with a sense of humor. I really appreciate the nice furniture which can be an underrated detail at a restaurant. This place is designed to accommodate a quality experience for patrons and does not come across as rushed or prioritizing money over quality or community. As to be expected by the name, I ordered an omelette, and it was very nice. I ordered a plain drip coffee, but was surprised to see that they also have lattes and cappuccinos. I'm looking forward to visiting this place again next time I'm in the area. read more

OK, I have now tried this place twice. Both orders were "to go". On my first visit, I ordered the club Sandwich with a side of fruit and was given french fries and no fruit. I didn't discover the issue until I left with my food and I didn't have time to go back. The sandwich was good. They didn't ask what kind of bread I wanted, but I asked them my choices and I switched from White to Rye. There were no napkins provided in my go bag. On my second visit, I ordered the chicken and waffles. I checked the bag for my napkin before I drove off. The chicken was delicious. It was well prepared, juicy and very flavorful. The pancakes were good. I do have a problem with food service low level pancake/waffle syrup that is mostly caramel color and high fructose corn syrup. They can give people choices if they want real maple syrup or just pancake syrup. Some people may prefer the pancake syrup. I'm fine with saying we give you one packet of syrup, but you have to pay for additional if they get the good stuff- real maple syrup. The biggest problem is the rookie move of putting freshly fried chicken directly into Styrofoam. Unbeknownst to me, under the chicken was a gaping hole where all of the maple syrup drained into my lap requiring me to drive 40 minutes back home and change clothes. Although the chicken on top was delicious, I avoided the one on the bottom that melted the Styrofoam into it. I really appreciate them cooking my chicken fresh, but thoughts into their takeout container must be considered. I have not eaten inside the restaurant, so I cannot speak about service while dining in. The ambience is OK for a breakfast place but I think it could be so much more. The food is really good here so I think the ambience could step up to match the food. I really want this place to be successful. After having an early morning medical appointment with my newborn daughter, I decided to go get breakfast with my family at The Omelette Cafe Warrenton location because we were sleep deprived and hungry. I was recovering from surgery, my husband was caring for everyone, we thought it would be nice to get breakfast and have one less thing to worry about so we could actually get some rest afterwards. Initially I mistakenly said pancake for myself (I was extemely exhausted,  I own that) and I requested a waffle instead. My waffle came out burnt and my husband's breakfast sausages were undercooked, raw in the middle. I compared my Waffle to my daughter's waffle because I thought mine tasted strange and it was very clear that mine was burnt. When my plate went back to the kitchen the waitress came back and told me that the manager said he would not charge me and basically refund my meal, but would not make me another waffle, so basically I would leave the restaurant without a meal. The waitress kept apologizing and went to speak to the manager on our behalf, because the owner hid in the kitchen and wouldn't face us himelf. It wasn't the waitress fault, but I did express that I was very frustrated because that is not how customers should be treated. We were also told that since my husband had taken a bite out of the sausage, which he clearly spit out on a napkin, he would only get half of the replacement sausage. It's not his fault the sausage was undercooked. Well they never actually replaced the breakfast meat either. I was respectful and kind through the entire interaction, and I expressed multiple times that I wasn't looking for a discount or anything free, what I wanted was to eat breakfast and go home and finally sleep. I was happy to pay for everything in full including the mistake pancakes. It didn't matter what I said, owner told the waitress they would not cook me a waffle. I also expressed serving undercooked raw sausage is a health hazard, they didn't care. There was never an opportunity to talk directly to the owner as he chose not to. I even expressed to the waitress that we are tired, we came with a very tiny baby because we are hungry and needed to eat. None of it mattered. I eventually had to leave that establishment and go somewhere else and get myself something to eat after wasting time there. I am very shocked and disappointed with the customer service and our experience and will not be returning or ordering from The Omelette cafe. The Omelette Cafe opened in Warrenton, VA 15 days ago. It occupies the space that I believe was formerly a Moe's Southwest Grill. I stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. The place was close to being full. I was seated at a four top table. After looking over the menu, I ordered the Burrito Express - which comes with a side of breakfast potatoes. I opted for sausage and cheddar in the burrito. And I also ordered a side of bacon, coffee, and water. It took about 20 minutes for my order to come out. The burrito was tasty - I added Cholulu hot sauce to bites of the burrito - and a bit of salt and pepper to the potatoes - which were hot and a had a lightly crisp exterior (I asked them to crisp up the potatoes - I have no frame of reference for how they would have been if I had said nothing). However, the side of bacon was missing - and it took me about 5 minutes to flag down someone to advise I was missing the bacon. The bacon was crisp and tasty as well. Coffee was average. The tables and chairs seem pretty nice - they appear to be solid wood - and the backs of the chairs have "The Omelette Cafe" carved/routed into the backs of the chairs. Paid at the register with Apple Pay. After paying my bill, I noticed the bill was missing the bacon. I pointed this out and they told me to not to worry about it. We REALLY want to love this family owned business but We've been here 3 times over the past 4 months, hoping they would get into a flow, but they just can't seem to get it together. Know before you go: Inefficient: They would do well to have customers self bus the tables, like at Panera and Manhattan pizza. The wait could be cut in half if they tightened up some procedures. We've been held hostage out our dirty table with no bill 30 minutes before. Deliver plates, check back if everything is okay and offer guests the option to pay then. Customers bus their own table and one person can come wipe tables, then take bused dishes back to the kitchen. Hostess: Please seat customers with a full set of silverware. We had to ask again this visit for silverware while our food sat getting cold on the table. I asked the hostess for assistance twice today and she was dismissive and didn't follow up. Cleanliness: The floors are covered in food, straw papers, etc. A quick broom in between guests and a clean cloth to wipe the table would be appreciated. Today the girl wiping tables dropped her rag on the floor, picked it up and kept wiping the tables, in between scratching her head. A look by the health dept is in order at this establishment. No soap in the bathrooms means people/servers are grabbing the door with bacteria laden hands as they return to the dining room.Such an unappetizing and dangerous oversight. Plastic in food: We thought it was an egg shell, but it was a sliver of plastic in the omelette. We suggest you skip this place and eat at home where you know the food is served hot and clean with utensils and care. We finally got the chance to come in for a little brunch! I'm highly impressed with the food at this place! I had the Nova Eggs Benedict and my husband had the chorizo omelette. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly! The sauce was delicious! The home fries had the perfect amount of crispiness! They were super busy when we went, but the server was still really attentive. Service needs a lot of help. Not willing to do any substitutions. Ordered a mimosa that never showed up. I had to ask for a coffee refill. Food showed up with no utensils. I had to go to the counter to ask for butter and cream cheese. They finally brought the cream cheese but had no butter they could bring. When we were done the waiter just asked if we wanted our check, never checked to see if we enjoyed our food or if everything was ok. Staff could benefit from customer service training. read more

Food came out super fast (which is normally a plus) but in this case it tasted greasy, burned, and had an off taste to it. The good: Service is great. Menu is large For breakfast and lunch with full bar and Coffee bar. But the food! Husband ordered a Mexican platter omelet. It was the smallest, thinnest omelet we've ever seen. There was practically nothing inside and it had been microwaved to hard on the edges. Potatoes were covered in oil, toast spread with a butter product. I ordered a Chicken Mediterranean Pita which had about 1/8 of a cup of tiny chicken slivers, two thin shavings of red onion, 1 bit of tomato, lettuce and sauce. We were surprised at how expansive the menu was-if your family can't decide on which food u can get it all here. They even serve specialty coffees and alcoholic drinks. This restaurant is one of the best, well, THE best restaurant we've visited in the last several years. It is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and I can't find one negative aspect to speak of. For example, they succeed in making a gyro better than the local Greek place, a Reuben better than a respected deli, a hamburger far superior to any others in this town. It is nice to see the hard working Mom & Pop family making this a success. This is a place we can proudly bring out-of-town visitors. It seems they are now closing on a whim. All reference to closing hours have been removed from the signage on the door. Website states 10pm closing time on Fri/Sat, however arrived this evening at 830pm and was told they were closed, even though there were several customers inside. Not a good way to run your business. Publish your business hours and honor what you post. If you start angering your customer base, they will go elsewhere. Don't make your business another Warrenton statistic. read more

Mediocre food and service. We tried it out as a place we would consider taking family and friends but we will not be back. While the restaurant had nice wood tables and chairs, there were crumbs on the table from a prior patron. If you try this restaurant, be prepared to wait for your order to be taken (as there appeared to be one waitress doing everything, ask the waitstaff to read back your order and relay that you like your food served hot. My husband ordered an omelet wrap that was served lukewarm with an unmelted cheese slice. Additionally, he specifically ordered a side pancake; however, a stack came out and we were charged for it. Tried to point out the misunderstanding but the staff insisted he ordered plural pancakes rather than a single pancake. Scrambled eggs had a lot of egg whites that were not beaten. Only positives were the hot coffee and crisp belgian waffles and bacon. No details to support the total on the point of sale device. While waiting for our waitress to bring a box for our leftovers there must have been a staff changeover with lack of communication between our waitress and the new waitstaff as the new person asked: "Have you already paid?" This was my first visit to The Omelette Cafe in Warrenton. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Apple Cinnamon Waffles with two eggs over easy and pork sausage with black coffee. My food was very flavorful and warm. My over easy eggs were cooked exactly the way I like them, the yellow ran and the white didn't. The waffles tasted very good. The sausage was the small link sausage and I prefer the sausage patties. The sausage links were okay. My coffee was very good. When we entered the restaurant the hostess was very quick to take us to our table and give us our menus. We had several minutes to wait for our waitress to arrive. My wife had the chicken fajita omelette with home fries and a buttered bagel. She enjoyed all her food. The omelette was very tasty. The home fries are fried potatoes with onions, like the ones normally kept on the back of the grill at breakfast restaurants. After we placed our orders the food was quick to arrive, in less than 10-minutes. Our waitress broiught one plate with one order on it and then went back to the kitchen and returned with our other order on a plate. After we received our order, our waitress never checked back to see if we need anything else or if I wanted a coffee refill. I did, but that didn't happen. When our waitrees returned it was with our bill which was on a handheld computer for credit cards. We love a good breakfast place. This one didn't hit the mark. We walked in and the entire staff looked less than happy to be there. Not one friendly, welcoming face was to be found. The food was reasonably priced but wasn't great. I ordered the pancake breakfast but couldn't eat the pancakes because they had a flat, chewy, egg like texture. Good is pretty good, but the wait time for our food was quite long. Our server never came back to check on us or fill our drinks. A few items were missing from our order, but the server never came to check in. We waited quite a while after finishing our food to get our check. That was the most awkward part because they stand there and watch you enter the tip on the handheld machine. So even though I wanted to give a 15% tip for poor service, the lowest on the screen is 18%. I could have entered a custom tip with her watching, but that's so uncomfortable. The waitress was trying to help and was sweet but the food was terrible. Got the eggs Benedict but the English muffin was not toasted and therefore, soggy, the potatoes tasted like dish water. My husband asked for his eggs to be cooked well done but they weren't. The waitress saw I put my plate aside and insisted they'd make it right. I didn't want to send it back, didn't want the hassle but she insisted. She came back and said, "the head chef refuses to make another one." The manager never came out. I inadvertently ordered from the wrong location instead of Manassas. I ordered in Warrington. I called them to let them know that it was my error and I paid online. I asked him is there anyway that I can order my food in Manassas and him not charge me for the food that was made in Warrington. He was very rude very nasty and it was an honest mistake. at my second thought was OK fine before I can get out that I would donate to food to somebody there. What do you want me to do you want me to throw the food out so I hung up I would not recommend anyone go there unless they're perfect because they don't have any customer service skills or any resolution skills. Gave The Omelette Cafe a try tonight, and it was a very good experience. The Positives 1. The food was very good. 2. Everyone working there was super friendly. 3. Prices were reasonable. For three people, three entrees including tax was $41. 4. Service was prompt. Everything came out promptly. Other Observations 1. You don't have a particular wait person for your table. Multiple wait staff come by to work your table throughout the evening, sometimes doing redundant things. I can only think of one other restaurant that I've been to that does this (Taco Mexicali in Williamsburg). It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's weird when you don't expect it. 2. The entrees for each person come out when they are ready, not all at once. My theory on that is that they don't have heat lamps to keep one dish warm while waiting on another. Regardless of the reason, it is a little weird. 3. As noted in other reviews, portions are not huge. They are big enough that you won't leave hungry, but you probably won't be bringing home leftovers, either. 4. Just like Silver Branch, the staff uses the wireless handheld devices to do the ordering. And, just like Silver Branch, when it's time to pay the check, they show you a total amount and don't show you the charges that add up to the total. Call me a fussbudget, but I find that offputting. Newly opened in Warrenton, this restaurant chain meets its goals - omelets and other breakfast options all day. Omelettes looked like they were about 2-egg size, so don't expect to be over-full when you are done. It was extremely busy when we were there, and could have benefitted from another server or two, but the food came out in a reasonable time. read more

We have come three times now and every time has gotten worse. The first time was decent and the food was good but some minor service issues happened but we didn't mind. The second time food was good but the service was slightly worse. We forgot how bad it was and came back today and we will never be back. Not only is it over cramped but it is so loud because there's no filled in ceiling. Took forever to be seated. No one acknowledges your presence til you're the next to be seated. Requested to sit outside where they have a patio but was told they aren't using that today. Which makes no sense because there's more seating out there. We got our drinks and order taken. Took forever to get the food and when we did we had no silverware. My mom went to get silverware and told the hostess and was brushed off by her saying your waiter will get it and she walked away. My mom had to ask three separate people to finally get some and with barely any apology. The same hostess dropped the cleaning cloth and proceeded to wipe down the table across from us with the same rag that touched the dirty floor. She then combed her fingers through her hair and touched the dishes to setup the table. Once we got our food we never saw our waiter and he never came to check in on us. My husband had to have some random waitress get him more water because our waiter didn't care to check on us. Getting your bill is a career movement too. You have to track down your waiter and hope they come right back. We had to pay at the counter after my mom tracked him down and he seemed off put by her asking for the check. She asked if there was a manager she could speak with and he said yes , my mom. She didn't bother requesting to speak to her because it wouldn't have done anything. Had to ask several different people for refills or assistance. Second time was a pickup that was supposed to be ready within 20 minutes. 30 minutes later was told it would be 15 more minutes. It was just okay and they did not add the onion and peppers requested. I was really hoping for another good breakfast place, but they have some kinks to work out.
