This was my first time ordering takeout from here, and it took them an hour to make 1 California roll, 1 dragon roll, fried chicken wings, and yakisoba. They didn't even have many people dining in. I asked why my order was taking so long, and both the sushi chef and the manager, Sophia, told me that takeout orders are not a priority! The wings and yakisoba were cold too, meaning the kitchen staff had already prepared the hot food while the sushi chef took their time making the rolls. We visited on a Sunday afternoon for sushi and were told they had no sushi chef and they were only serving a limited menu . We ordered their Hamachi bowl and their salmon bowl. Very disappointing because you could tell that they were covering up the quality of the fish with an overly spicy mayonnaise sauce. The Hamachi was full of sinew , Both seemed not fresh. We decided to go to the casino on a whim one day and would figure out what we would eat once we got there. This particular restaurant was the only place besides the food court that seemed to have a decent crowd. It also smelled delicious! We arrived later in the evening, about 9:30pm where we waited to be seated for quite some time despite the restaurant having multiple open tables. I am usually fine waiting, but no one in the restaurant acknowledged us at all while we were waiting. I wasn't sure if they were closing and not seating anyone else or what was going on, but it would have been a game changer if someone simply said, "hey, thanks so much for waiting, we're just cleaning off a few tables and we will be with you shortly." Once we were seated, our server was lovely and very apologetic about the wait. Immediately, because of her sincerity, I almost forgot about how ignored I felt by the hostess. We ordered the Korean BBQ flavored wings, the spicy garlic edamame, the veggie crunch roll and the spicy crunchy tuna roll. The wings were delightful, perfectly balanced with a nice refreshing kick of ginger and ohhhh so crispy. The spicy garlic edamame was a good sized portion, but I have to be honest, they were so very spicy. We are a couple who loves spicy stuff and these ones got us. Our sushi took a little while to get to us, but was 100% worth the wait. The tempura battered tuna roll was beautifully presented and very tasty and the veggie crunch roll was incredible. It was very flavorful and topped with an absolutely necessary sesame cabbage slaw. I could have eaten the slaw by the bowl. Overall, I think this is a reasonably priced and delicious option for a casino date meal. If I could give half stars, I might take off half a star more for the complete disregard while waiting for a table. read more

A party of 3 came on a Tuesday evening and it was busy! At around 7pm, it was going to be an hour wait and we had to wait in line if we wanted a table. so we played some slots and went back to about a 15 minute wait. We ordered the sesame seaweed salad, pork shumai, and 16-piece omakase. The seaweed salad was really refreshing. Some of the freshest seaweed salad I've had. The pork shumai was okay. I find shumai to typically be wet but the meat was dry. The omakase was DELICIOUS! There were thick pieces of fish and very filling. There was a 30 min wait on a Friday night around midnight but they text you when your table is ready. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the Korean bbq wings and dumplings to start. Best sushi we've had since moving to SW Washington. We will for sure be back. Favorite roll from everyone was the double shrimp. Amazing flavors. Prices are high. We spent around $50/person without alcohol. Small dining area, love the open view to the kitchen,and staff is super friendly and attentive. Tempura shrimp was a bit heavy breading for my taste. Sushi at it's finest! I haven't had this good of sushi for the longest! I ordered the 25 piece Sashimi platter, 2 dragon rolls, and 1 double shrimp roll. (As shown in picture) I'm not a sushi chef nor a sushi expert, but my love for sushi is beyond imaginable so here's my personal opinion. I find that real good sushi follows 4 characteristic qualifications. 1) Fish - All the raw fish were so thick, fatty, and fresh! None of the fish had a stank fishy odor. The cut was smooth, bright, firm, shiny, and clean tasting. 2) Rice - I've always had trouble with my sushi falling apart at other places. At Longhouse, the rice were sticky enough that it didn't fall apart as I picked it up. The amount of taste and scent of vinegar in the rice was not overpowering, which made the sushi so much better. 3) Proportion - Each piece of sushi had a great amount of rice and toppings. Not too less or not too much with either or. Therefore, you can enjoy each piece just perfectly proportioned without feeling too overwhelmed. 4) Sauce - If you don't have the right staples, it can definitely ruin the taste. The soy sauce was not too salty, the bright green wasabi had a very sharp flavorful taste, and the fresh juicy ginger with enough crunch. Overall, an hour drive was totally worth it. I would love to go back and try other dishes as well. All service staff were very attentive and careful. I was very pleased and happy with my dining experience. read more

I can't say enough about how amazing our experiences have been at Longhouse, specifically our most recent one. My husband and I have visited this restaurant three times over the past several months and each experience has exceeded the last! Our most recent visit was for our anniversary. The manager came by to congratulate us and brought glasses of champagne. We shared the boil for two which was much larger than we expected. The boil comes with a salad or soup for each person along with a desert at the end as well. So much delicious flavor throughout the entire meal and great service throughout. The ramen broth was too oily and wasn't bodied like a ramen should be. The pork belly fried rice was bad. There was only one oyster selection and it didn't taste fresh and it had a soupy texture?! The shrimp shumai was clearly pre-frozen and either had an extremely subtle taste or was extremely fishy?! The lobster tempura was fine, but let's talk about... - Overpriced: Plain and simple, for the quality of the food, it was overpriced. Even if the lobster tempura could have come from an establishment that served good food, the price of $32 would still be questionable. - Crowded Seating: Two adults sitting at the tiny seats and tables had no leg or arm room. The place is completely too small to accommodate anyone not looking to sit at the bar. - SLOW & Inconsiderate Service: This was the part that bothered us the most. The restaurant was not busy, but the waitress disappeared for almost our whole meal. We could see other parties in the restaurant sharing a perplexed, frustrated look and there was no doubt it was for the slow service. We wanted to have a few dishes to take out after finishing our meal, and we asked the waitress if we should order them at the same time or after we finished our meal. She said after would be better. When we finished our meal, the waitress was slow at getting back to us and was very unprofessional, not explaining the long wait and over it attitude she had. The sodas showed up with my noodles in less then three minutes after ordering. My wife sat and watched me eat. I had finished my noodles and paid the check and her sushi still had not shown up. We came for my wife's birthday and was really expecting some great things, but figured the price would be higher than normal since most people have mentioned that. Though their menu is smaller than most, they do have one or two vegetarian rolls, and a few cooked rolls for those that don't want Raw. They also have an interesting cocktail offering. I was tempted to order a cocktail that used wasabi, maybe next time. At the sushi bar, we met a couple that said Longhouse was their favorite sushi house, even considering places in Portland. Well... I didn't come to the same conclusion. I give the place an 87% overall. The chairs at the dining tables had no back rest (being a casino restaurant, my guess is they want high turn over on tables). This was our first time coming to Ilani and we thought the Longhouse would be great for dinner. It wasn't exceptionally busy but we were seated within a couple of minutes (despite two guys who cut us off and tried to jump the line and way after we had arrived). We waited almost 15 minutes before we even got service -- and that's because we finally flagged someone down who wasn't even our server. Meanwhile, the two guys who tried to cut us off were already drinking and getting their food. By 25 minutes, we finally got our drinks. We had to request water, 10 minutes later we got it. Between three people, we ordered two rolls, a nigiri, a bowl of ramen, vegetarian fried rolls, and duck potstickers. The ramen and fried appetizers came out first. The nigiri order came out as sashimi. Then 20-25 minutes later, the rolls eventually came out. Overall, we were here for over an hour and a half for what we thought would be a reasonably quick meal. The table across from us was waiting for their change when we sat down and was still waiting for about 15 minutes after we were sat. So: service was practically nonexistent. They got the nigiri order wrong. Also, on the menu they marked the veggie roll as vegetarian even though it came with unagi (eel) sauce -- that's NOT vegetarian. I ordered it without and was disappointed-- it was a basically a rice-heavy greasy vegetable tempura role with sesame oil. The ramen had fatty pork chunks that were inedible. Overall, this was extremely disappointing. The servers knew that we had been waiting for too long and seemed apologetic but little indication of them carIng existed. They could have said in the beginning, "oh, sorry we are so busy but we'll help you out soon!" But didn't. Not even a mediocre discount. I worked in food service for ten years and I would be so embarrassed by this service. Plus, a server dropped and shattered dirty plates behind us, splashing the area with sauces and food stuffs. Broken chunks of dishes fell under our seats. No one even checked to see if we were okay. We thoroughly checked our selves and jackets to make sure we weren't stained with food and shards of dishes. The icing on the cake was when we left, there were three employees idly standing at the entrance to bid goodbye, while the overworked sole waitress was running about. I do not recommend. For an almost $100 bill, I expected at least an acceptable level of service and time. I expected our orders to come out correct and relatively tasty, but it was neither. I will not return. read more

I found the 4 Pork sumo and the Miami and sashimi a little pricy but the rolls and bowls where reasonably priced.
