Ilani roll.

Ever since they moved to the new location and it looks like they have new management this place really sucks. I mean you go one Asian guy making small sushi rolls and then you got one Caucasian guy making huge sushi rolls. Guess what? I got the Asian guy making small sushi rolls. I mean have some consistency will ya. The average cost of a sushi roll there now is $25.00 and for that price you should be getting a huge sushi roll. But nope!! Not for me not last night. I really wanted to say something to the new manager lady last night but I had to bite my tongue. Just have some freaking consistency amongst your sushi chefs to make sushi rolls like James who was making huge sushi rolls. I know because I say at the bar and watched him make sushi rolls. James did tell me I can specifically tell the waitress to have him make the sushi rolls. Next time I will do that for sure. Other than that the wait for the sushi rolls takes for ever. Lesley is a great waitress and bartender. They should give her a fat raise and take the money from the overpaid managers.

The sushi was amazing but the fried rice wasn't. Very busy restaurant. So many people checked on our table that I don't know who our actual server was. We ordered a spicy tuna and spider roll. The flavors of both were great. I appreciated the presentation of the sushi. We also ordered pork fried rice and it wasn't as good as I was hoping. Too much soy sauce and the meat was bland.

Popped in for a quick lunch break and had a great experience! It's located in the casino by it is not too loud or crowded. The hostesses Teale and Valery were very accommodating! My server Catherine was very attentive and explained everything in vivid detail, she knows her stuff! Chel the sushi chef was awesome! She even made a mastery piece in a very short period of time (pictured) The food and service were top tier, I would HIGHLY recommend coming to visit this location!

Probably one of my favorite places to dine while at ilani or for late night sushi. Portions are huge and fitting for the price tag. They have great chow fun and honey walnut prawns. I'd recommend giving this place a try!

The new Ilanai restaurant, which is a combination of Longhouse & Bamboo 8, is a smash hit! Food exceeded my expectations. I hope they keep up the flavors once they start filling the restaurant to full capacity. Newly renovated space is casual, yet elegant. The lobster bomb roll was the BOMB! Servers are still training and doing a fantastic job.

We had a amazing time at the newly renovated long house. The seating area was spectacular with a view of the kitchen from the bar. There are small tables for two or booths for larger parties. Recommend making reservations because the food is excellent. Service was superb and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back soon.

The atmosphere is a very nice experience.

The service was great but the food was disappointing. My husband had the wasabi shrimp. The sauce was thick like country gravy and that made the fried shrimp breading very soggy. The birthday dessert was delicious on the inside but gelatinous on the outside. I would pick a different Asian Cuisine spot.

Been here many times. I would say acceptable. This is not authentic Japanese food for sure. Very American but its good. Service they were really nice and everything came in a timely manner. Atmosphere is clean and nice place. They close late and they are also extending this restaurant soon in the casino. Can't wait to check it out with the new extension.

Beautiful ambiance, great service and wonderful sushi! Looking forward to trying some other dishes in the future.

Fantastic service. Love the new look. I had the double shrimp roll and it's by far and away my favorite roll I've had.

Good food for late night I regret that I ate here....only once. The food is really good for a late night casino joint. I came here my first night at this casino. It was really the only thing open after playing a few games. The hostess can actually lead you to two sides. The sushi bar or the dine in area. We chose the dine in. The dine in is clean and spacious. Plus you get to view an open kitchen. Readers know I like an open kitchen. We got two dishes to go with our water. The yakisoba and pork fried rice. I was tempered to order more but it was already past 11pm when we got there. I was surprised by how delicious everything was, usually at a casino restaurant the food was so so, here it was Ono Ono. (You don't get it Google). Yakisoba came with large pieces of shrimp. The shrimp wasn't overcooked like most places. The beef was tender and really savory. The pork fried rice was aromatic and not dry. The pork fat blended with the rice nicely. Overall five stars. I wish I ate here more often. It's just when I'm done playing, the restaurant is closed. :p

The breakfast food is mostly pre packaged food besides an egg. I got the full slab of ribs. They came with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was only about 4 bites and was runny and nasty. The Mac and cheese was burnt on top. The ribs were tough and chewy and they almost did not look like they were fully cooked. You could tell they were not one complete slab but two different slabs cut in half. They took forever to serve us. I mean like 30 minutes to get the ribs. It's like they only had a half slab of ribs cooked and they had to quickly cook the other half of the other slab while we waited. For $40 it was not worth it. I should have l known that the ribs would not be that good based on the very reason that they were being served by Tom's Urban. Reminder to self to do not do that again. Our waitress was sweet but we ordered waters with our beers and she showed up 1/2 hour later when the ribs arrived and said she would go get us our waters.

Hello my Yelpies…read more When you're prepping for a food show and find your schedule too tight for a proper meal, MJ's Steakhouse at Ilani Casino becomes an easy and worthwhile stop. The atmosphere strikes a comfortable balance between upscale and approachable, and the staff greet you with genuine warmth--always ready with a few well-informed recommendations. The drink list is impressively curated, offering balanced selections that pair effortlessly with the menu's highlights. Though it's a steakhouse by name, my surprise favorite was the salmon--flawlessly cooked and arguably among the best I've had in recent memory. Perhaps MJ's should consider rebranding as a fish house that just happens to serve a perfect steak on the side. Cheers The Dutchman

It certainly had an upscale, romantic vibe to it. Our server was very kind attentive but because of the size of the party, was unable to accommodate fully to each person. It was a fairly priced deal for my husband and I on that Friday to get the Surf and Turf special. We got to share two starters, one entree, two sides and a dessert for $110. We got the caramelized onion soup, which was reminiscent of French onion soup but waterier. The ribeye was well seasoned and sliced for sharing. The shrimp was plump and not overcooked. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. The parmesan fries were buttery and sharp. The cheesecake had some fruit and compote layered on top. The crust was crunchy and thin, a good ratio for the dessert. Overall, the food quality was better than I imagined. Only caveat was when we left, a comedy show was also wrapping up. The delay in the parking was insanely slow, and it took us nearly an hour to leave the parking lot. So, I would check the schedule in the future if I were ever to return. Because the casino is an hour away from us, I wouldn't return unless I were in the area.

Inside its spread out, so even if it were busy, I don't think it would be overly loud. We arrived on Sunday just as they were switching from brunch to lunch and were promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive throughout our time there and explained their daily specials. Our table all opted for the daily special, which was a smash burger with fries for $10. I inquired if I could sub out for a veggie patty and the waitress said it was not an issue. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and everyone enjoyed the burgers. They were all topped with a delicious deep fried pickle chip, however I do wish they would have put actual pickles on the burgers. Otherwise, they were delicious! The veggie burger appeared to be homemade or at least higher quality as you could see the oats in the patty. The beef burgers were all thinly smashed and had the crispy edges you expect from a smash burger. Although they have a full bar, none of our table opted for a cocktail. This is definitely a good spot for a family meal or a brunch with friends.
