First, I want to say purchasing a car was easy and efficient. That is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. However, they have quality control issues. It appears Longo does not seem to care about the quality of product they sell, and they will not be bothered if you complain to them. It is known that the Toyota Tacoma made in 2017 has bad paint quality, and the paint of those vehicles quickly deteriorates. Pretty much all Tacomas made that year and even some other years are in terrible condition. It's called "clear coat failure". Despite waxing the car constantly, it looks just awful. We mentioned this issue to Toyota to see if they would remedy the issue, and we got completely ignored. Instead, they attempted to get us to buy a new vehicle. So, hopefully when you purchase a vehicle here it's in outstanding condition with no future issues because you will be ignored if there are issues. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews (refer to picture attached or my profile), but after the experience I had at this dealership, I feel compelled to share. Before I share my experience, I did want to mention that my mom and I are looking to buy cars within the next year, and given that my dad had a positive experience here buying his car a few years ago, we decided to give this place a try for a simple battery service. Unfortunately, I was left frustrated, misinformed, and with zero confidence in their customer service moving forward. Here's what happened (call receipts in attached photos provided): - I scheduled an appointment for 2:30 pm on a Saturday for a battery service. The rep assured me it would be ready by 4:30-5 pm, as they close at 5:30 pm. - My mom arrives around 4:45 pm, and they tell her, "10-15 minutes." - At 4:50 pm, I get a call informing me the technician found an issue with an eroded cable near the battery and that I would need to replace it. I agreed to pay for the additional service. The rep said it, "it won't take long. It should be ready in 10 minutes." - At 5:16 pm, I get another call saying they ran out of cables and need to order more, but they won't come until Monday at 12pm. The rep says, "let me ask if the technician can replace the battery without replacing the cable." Why wasn't this checked before calling me? I don't know. - At 5:20 pm, the rep relays to me that the technician insists the cable must be replaced first, and my car won't be ready until Monday afternoon because they are closed on Sunday. - My mom had been waiting in the lobby since 4:45pm, with no backup car to use. She was offered a Lyft back home at 5:23pm, which didn't pick her up until 5:56 pm--hardly an ideal solution. - On Monday, I arrive between 6:37 and 6:42 pm to pick up my car. The woman at the desk tells me it'll be "10 minutes." No communication on how or when I'll actually get my keys, or if I need to look out for the car to be brought to the front. - By 7:07 pm, I'm still waiting, the last customer in the lobby. Only then do they tell me the car is outside. Apparently, I was supposed to just know to ask for my keys when my car was outside in the dark with other cars blocking the view. If I'd known I was supposed to be on the lookout for my car and ask for my keys, then that's easy peasy! I'm just so frustrated with the lack of communication and her just expecting me to know what to do. Clear and concise communication is not optional in customer service--it's essential. Instead, I received a series of vague updates, long waits, and poor customer handling. I left frustrated and dissatisfied, and it's safe to say I won't be returning for future service or recommending this dealership to anyone. read more

I guess we are becoming a Toyota family! After a few service visits to Longo, my 2021 Mirai is doing great! We love the car itself! Fuel has been more reliable as more hydrogen stations are becoming available. This Toyota dealer has been around for a long time and is HUGE! I love that they have multiple other vendors on site to make things more convenient for customers! Starbucks, Enterprise and Subway! It makes the waiting process go by quick. They have lots of seats in the indoor & outdoor areas. Everything is laid out conveniently and all in one area (service drop off, food/beverages, car rental, merch, restrooms, waiting areas, cashier and pick up area). Places are labeled well so you know where to go easily. The service we get here is hit or miss sometimes. But I've also found a great service rep to help us out so I go directly to him for all my needs. I didn't buy my car here so I can't attest to the Sales team, but my mom did buy her 2021 Venza and she had a good experience. Longo doesn't charge over MSRP where other dealers do, especially during this car shortage. So that is a great thing! I love that they have online appointment scheduler with email confirmation & text! No waiting in the long lines when you get there and they get things done quickly. Recommended! read more

First time car buyer here and I was pretty stressed since I know nothing about cars and hear horror stories of car salesman. David Lieu was great, he was helpful and patient answering all my questions to make sure I get the best deal. My friend referred me to him and however, due to the demand and inventory, he helped me place my name on a waiting list to get a new 2023 Toyota Prius XLE back in June of 2022. Attempted to purchase a new 2025 RAV4 LE here, but the very rude, spitting, and screaming salesman Robert Hofmann left me in crying shed tears, who has now given me a long depression, fear, and trauma for years to come, and I was forced to run out, cry, and go home without taking delivery at all after he raised his temper and spit some parts of his saliva into my body again. Incredibly disgusting and totally unacceptable way to present a new vehicle and take delivery to customers. Robert could care less to see if I'm injured or okay, hated me very much the whole time for nothing, and made no apologies with me at all on the next day to see if I'm okay or not with my new depression, and now this 1-star review is up. Earlier, he screamed to me, "the customer is not always right at all" and "I'll tear this contract up" for no reason at all right in front of my face nowhere out of the blue, and I immediately cried with real water tears while sitting in the chair, and he leaves me with a permanent, long-term depression, trauma, injury, and anxiety now for years to come. He needs to be fired from the job now, especially if he spits saliva into my body two times now that he probably didn't notice at all. It's not just this rude salesman alone, since most of them are now these days, but the whole Longo Toyota dealership itself has significantly declined and worsened each year that no longer truly cares for their customers, actually, and everything they say is a continuous big lie now. The first, #1 biggest red flag sign here is the lack of free complimentary hot coffee/tea drink for guests. Employees continue can get free coffee all the time, but I saw them many times only drink one or two sip from the cups, and then they throw them into the trash can. You can now only pick up the complimentary 95% of unfinished fresh hot coffee from the trash can now, in order to avoid paying the overpriced $7 coffee from their menu, and I do admit doing this one time before, sadly. The overall safety and cleanliness here continue to decline and worsen here daily, due to their ongoing greed policies. In my 25+ years of experience, any car dealer that doesn't provide any complimentary coffee while waiting for service, purchase, or lease is always asking for trouble and mental depression in yourself down the road with low satisfaction scores. FAILURE TO HONOR THE CONSUMER CONFIDENCE PROGRAM; FAILURE TO HONOR THE HYBRID INVERTER WARRANTY. Beware of Longo Toyota refusing to honor the warranty for the hybrid inverter through the Consumer Confidence Program. This program extended the warranty for this part, and it's now a 20 year warranty. I spoke to two reps from the service dept at Longo Toyota, who both tried to tell me the warranty was for 8 years. I spoke to someone on 5/12 and someone else on 5/21 to try and resolve the issue. They refused to honor the extended warranty. I even informed one of them that the Toyota in Puente Hills told me about the warranty. I asked that Longo Toyota also honor the existing warranty on the hybrid inverter. The service rep appeared confused and continued to falsely state there was no such warranty. I have reported Longo Toyota to the California consumer protection agency for refusal to honor (and failing to originally mention it and acknowledge it) this warranty. Ultimately i had to get my car towed a very inconvenient distance for Puente Hills Toyota, who did honor the warranty and they covered parts and labor for the fix. read more

It wouldnt be fair if i wrote a bad review for them while they were still going through their renovations, so here I am looking at this spanking newly worked on place. I came here get my car serviced - the one responsibility that could take several hours, and might even possibly be the least productive you can do away from home and your car. Here - no. I actually got a lot done because their internet was accessible, food was easy to reach, restrooms are very close, and even if you didnt have a computer, there are computer stations at the back of the room that can be shared. I have to say, something they didnt have before was an outlet that had both access to plugs AND usb devices, you need your own cable though, and i dont see a place that lends you one on site, just be prepared to have it with you. It is kind-of limited for the younger kids to entertain themselves, but there certainly are some things around to keep you some sort of busy or productive. So, for families with kids, unless they can behave themselves, you might be in a tight pinch. So, the car maintenance service that came with the lease - service was quick and went very smooth, although one thing that maybe they have forgotten to top off was my windshield wiper fluid. I expected the reservoir to be filled, but I didnt have any fluid in there in case my windshield needed cleaning mid-drive. Other than that little detail, the staff are very friendly and answers pretty much all my questions regarding my lease - i dont expect them to be experts, but they certainly know something thats helpful. Im out of service due to my mileage consumption already, but I encourage you to come and get work done to your car while its still covered by your lease agreement - you have nothing to lose. read more

I took my older model Prius in for service here today for first time. What a total pleasure this staff is. My service person was Max. What a respectful, explanatory, and competent young man. I loved the fact that Max personally visited me TWICE in the lobby area - first to discuss the fact that the new key fob I wanted would need to be ordered and would take a few days to arrive, and later about my invoice since I'd taken a while to review it (the text communication here is great) and I had a question. Then he directed me on next steps. I dealt with a delightful woman out in the cashier and service delivery area. After that, they brought me my sparkling clean car - I had no idea they would surprise me with a car wash! Honestly, the four people I dealt with here were competent, efficient, and NICE. I felt my car and I were TAKEN CARE OF. This is how customer service should be. The staff get their jobs done and don't seem exhausted and wrung out like so many other establishments. The lobby was clean, functional, with abundant seating, TV's not too loud, good air conditioning and bright and clean bathrooms. Access to Starbucks and food. Outdoor shaded seating was available, clean and tidy. I'm now in my forever house in Pasadena and as long as I drive a Toyota, I'm going to drive here ignoring 3 other closer Toyota dealerships for all my service needs. read more

I used to be perfectly happy with them until I've been trying to make an appointment for a routine check up for my car but somehow the on-line scheduling system keeps messing up. So here comes the on-line "chat professional" Sophia who swears "she" is a human but I doubt it because she seems pretty clueless to be a human. Long story short today is Oct 18 and I've been trying to book an appointment since Oct 5, and no one has called to follow up to make sure I got an appointment, even though they assured me they will. Meanwhile they keep sending me urgent emails saying my car is due for service, with the same useless link that misidentifies my car and the same dimwit Sophia the chat (un)professional.
