We added on carpeting two sets of utility stairs (garage/unfinished basement), and then dropped the knowledge on him that we had purchased LVT for our kitchen and entry that we needed to install as well. Surprisingly, we were able to tack that on to the quote and job. I'm super happy about the cash discount offered!! Cash is Queen! The installers busted their backsides. The LVT guys were here a few days to prep (as we had flooring under flooring, and uneven underlayment). They did everything I asked of them and also presented me with options throughout the process. Because of this, I know that down the road if I change out this new flooring, the process will be easier. Very happy! They were also super clean and respectful of my home. The carpet installers were amazing! My dumb self made an error (couldn't find the remnants after install) and my word they were nice about it. (They were literally right in front of my eyes in the basement and for some reason, I couldn't see them. I felt so dumb. lol) The carpet looks amazing too! I just keep using that word---amazing. All in all, I had... you guessed it, an AMAZING experience with CarpetLand!

Hardwood Flooring was purchased, and the install was absolutely horrible. Larry Shields,…read moresales/manager, came out to my home to look over the poor install. Larry agreed that the installer did a terrible job, and told me he would order a new floor, have the current floor ripped out, and install the new floor. After 2 months of deceptive stalling and dragging his feet he is now going back on his word. I've read this exact same scenario in other reviews of Stateline Carpet and Flooring (promise that "We'll make it right" and then stall, stall, stall, sorry we aren't replacing the floor). Larry scheduled a "independent" inspector to come out and inspect the floor install, so they could pursue damages from the contractor that did the install (at least that's what he told me the inspector was for). Now it's very clear that he sent this inspector out to try and cover themselves, so they could get out of replacing my floor that he promised me they would replace. Seems like a rotten form of deception to lay on a customer. I literally have an HVAC vent covered up by their installers. The floor squeaks all over (the installers kept having to tape up the leaking hose to their nail gun so I'm thinking it may not have drove the nails in far enough). I could not even open my French door to my patio when installers were done because the shoe moulding went up too high and literally sealed my door shut. I'm still waiting on 6 recess vents to be installed (been on back order an awfully long time - tough to have faith in what Stateline is telling me at this point). I have multiple pieces of shoe moulding that are so loose you could literally lift them right up from the floor. The two installers installed 560 square feet of hardwood into 3 rooms in 5 1/2 hours. I had my own contractor come out to look at the job and he was shocked at how poor the install was and said it needs to be ripped up and replaced. When I told him it only took them 5 1/2 hours to install the floor and 90 more minutes the next day for transitions and shoe moulding he was SHOCKED. He said it should have taken at least 12 hours for two people to install the floor install and even up to 16 hours to complete everything. Not 7 hours total. I talked with Larry again today, and during a heated exchange he arrogantly told me "We are playing by my rules now" he went on to tell me how "impatient" I am. (it's been 2 months since the faulty install happened). Only took 2 weeks to get the original install done from the day I paid them to place the order - getting things replaced has now taken 4X longer with no end in sight but I'm "impatient" AND Larry tells me after the inspector looked things over "it's different than we both thought" (what's DIFFERENT?! You promised me a new floor and now you are backpedaling).

I wanted to see if they would remedy the problem, it's been a few months and nothing. My experience began with great customer service and woderful personalities. The delivery of my new carpet was on time, the follow up was great. The horrible experience began upon installation, I've purchased many rooms of carpet and have seen many installs. There was definitely a break down with the install crew, but I just watched and had confidence that the store I purchased from would hire competent installers. Well, little did I know at the time, they were out on medical leave, my house was the first job, and I don't know how long, but it showed in the workmanship of the install. I was left with gaping holes in seams, literally holes (see pic). Every area of the carpet that touches a wall has frayed material (like they used a dull knife). Areas where there was a door, not just one, but every door was cut uneven. You could see the carpet in the other rooms when the doors were closed. I made several phone call, without any call back, no exaggeration weeks and weeks. I finally was able to get the owner to my home to see the horrible workmanship. He had one of his "best" installers come out and fix the doors and recommend what to do with the holes in the seams. The doors turned out ok, still uneven, but you can't see the carpet from the other room when the door is shut. The holes are still present, the "fix" was to cut larger holes and blend it. Well, the same "best" installer told me not to cut out a larger area, it will always be noticeable and will not look right. In closing, I am left with $3000 dollars of carpet with holes, horrible seams, frays, and I am a bitter customer. I highly recommend everyone to think twice before you purchase form Carpet One-Loves Park! BUYER BEWARE-RIP OFF!

We were told our flooring would be done by Carpet One. We picked hardwood to go on most of our first floor. Within days of our flooring being installed, it began to creak and crack HORRIBLY! After a few months the floor boards began to separate and form big gaps and we could see waves and bumps. After phone call after phone call being ignored by Carpet One and being given the constant run around for an entire year, the floors were ripped out and reinstalled. We discovered that the wood was never installed correctly- The problems that occurred had nothing to do with the wood quality! In the midst of this nightmare, we noticed the carpet that was installed upstairs had big gaps from the wall! How is this place still under the same management??? Stay away!
