Their services aren't cheap, but I don't mind paying for quality work.

Important to note that they took my car in and completed the battery replacement and coding the same day I called even though they were completely swamped. :) At times, they are delayed in responding but for the amount of cars they take in and the work they do, it's normal for any mechanic. They answer every dumb question I have and provided recommendations for my car as well. Next up for me is to replace the rod bearings. We spent a year trying to find a restoration shop closer to home (Marin), but few would touch the Defender, and those that would, were hesitant to provide an estimate. The restorations done on our other Jags have been nightmares (years overdue and thousands and thousands of dollars over budget). we had no problems with Images AND Dave solved problems for us as if they were nothing. I got to speak with Sal during drop off. He took a look at the wheel and said that while the damaged looked rough, they would be able to make it look "pretty" good. He was straight forward on what they could and couldn't do in terms of reshaping the lip and matching the paint. This was an understatement, when I came to pick up the wheels, I could not even tell where the original damage was. These guys worked magic. I did end up finding some spots that had some minor paint pooling when drying but they were quick to schedule a follow up for touchups. I got to speak with Francisco for a bit as well and he was also great to work with. If you have expensive forged wheels that need repair and want a shop that offers fantastic repair service, great communication, and very reasonable pricing this place is it.

I didn't take pictures, as this smog and repair place is just located at a Chevron gas station…read more Well, I actually did take a picture, but there were people in it that might not want to be part of my review and it honestly didn't show much, but not having a good photo didn't seem like a reason not to leave a 5 star review for a good local place who provided really good service. We had to take our Prius in for a smog check (why though, it's a Prius!) and I called in to to make an appointment, which was easy to do. When we arrived, they told us where to position our car, asked for the DMV paperwork, and quickly went about performing the smog check. They performed it quickly, did it for a transparent fixed price (some places charge more for certain cars, including Prius's, which seems strange), and got us on our away quickly. The price was reasonable too - about $60 all in. They pointed us to some chairs where we could sit and wait while they did the test - nothing fancy, but it's good to have an option to sit. For whatever reason, smog checks are something I kind of dread, even though it's always painless. Having a local place that can do this quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price is always worth calling out.
