    Banana Foster Milk

The place had some cute decor. I originally ordered a mango cheese foam boba drink, but it just tasted salty. I asked Jeff, the cashier/barista if he could add more sweetness but it became overpowering. He said that specific drink is an acquired taste and offered to make me another drink and recommended the banana foster milk. It tasted refreshing (made with banana paste, pandan, cinnamon, and coconut) and delicious. Amazing customer service. Unique flavor options, but what exceeded expectations was Jeff's customer service; I recommend this place if your drink is made by Jeff! He will ensure you have a great drink and experience. That man is a great human being and is going places.

Ambiance: it's a cozy tea place located in downtown, spacious inside, with a small focus room good for calls if you work here Service: very friendly and efficient, you can either place the order with cashier or use two touch panels near the entrance Drink: standard menu for tea and coffee Strawberry Matcha Latte - *** Iced Matcha Latte w/ House-made Strawberry Compote, overall taste was okay and you can customize few options, however, quarter sugar still tasted very sweet, and less ice ended up with too much ice Price: decent quality, slightly overpriced but understandable for this downtown location, expect $7+ for a small sized drink plus any add-ons

Ordered coffees and all of them were really good! I'm not an avid coffee drinker, but the drinks were unique and the coconut one was especially delish. Inside is super spacious, although parking is only street parking (if you're lucky). Would come again just for their coffee.

The place is so beautiful. Love how many drink options there is and how authentic the drinks taste. They have different foam cream top flavor options :) try the crème brûlée!! Ordered my drinks through Door dash during happy hour and they arrived fairly quick. Happy hours are 2-4 I believe where drinks are sold 30% off.

I ordered a dirty matcha hot with caramel and... wow. One sip and I practically melted into the floor. This drink is pure magic in a cup -- the earthiness of the matcha, the smooth richness of the espresso, and that sweet, golden caramel swirl? Perfection. It's the kind of drink that makes you close your eyes after the first taste

My fellow Swiftie friend and I decided to stop by for some legit boba in Downtown LA. My friend was wearing her Midnights cardigan and the staff on duty did not think twice about playing Taylor Swift's music in this iconic boba shop (Thank you so much!). It is so fitting because the Biltmore Hotel is right next door (Iykyk). My friend ordered a Matcha Latte while I ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte with Almond Milk, 3/4 sweetness and boba. As the afternoon rolled in, it got slightly busier. I totally didn't mind waiting a few more minutes since Taylor's music was in the background. The Strawberry matcha latte had the perfect balance of naturally preserved strawberries and a generous amount of matcha and almond milk. Upon pick up, the bobaristas would recommend mixing your drink first prior to sipping. And before sipping, I didn't think twice to take a photo of this gorgeous drink. The bobaristas were totally right! It had the perfect balance of the strawberry's sweetness and matcha flavors and it worked well as an afternoon pick-me-up. I was totally enchanted and bejeweled to be here! Loose Leaf is now my go-to authentic boba shop in Downtown LA. Is it cool that I said all that?

I got the matcha and coffee and it was pretty good, there is some seating inside and decorated very pretty. Service was fast. Only negative there is no parking

    The Original Fifty50

The Original Fifty50 is the way to go. I have it with oat milk and I think it was Brulé cream. The first time I had it was at their Long Beach location. Had never tasted anything so delicious. But I live in San Gabriel so it's a bit of a drive. Well, this weekend we were on our way to Little Tokyo and remembered that they opened one in downtown L.A. So we made a pitstop. It's a small space but they got the job done. We didn't see any close parking so my husband ended up circling the block. So worth it. The young woman behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. How can you go wrong with a combo of the best tea and the best coffee? And their Boba is so soft and delicious. There's none that compare. We both crave this drink now. And it gave us the energy to enjoy hours of fun in Little Tokyo. I cannot wait to go back. I only wish we had one in our area I would be there every single day. We love you Loose Leaf Boba Co. The best Boba drinks in all of California hands-down. Get the Original Fifty50! You will thank me.

I love Loose Leaf! While staying nearby in DTLA over a few days, I must have frequented this spot at least three times, and it was great each and every time. The tea quality here is superb. You can really tell they are conscious about brewing high quality teas that aren't made from powder like some boba shops. All of the purees and flavorings are also made in house, so you are definitely getting quality boba. I would order drinks ranging from Brown Sugar Milk Teas to Lattes, each with the ability to substitute oat milk as a non-dairy option and to control the sweetness and ice. It was a perfect blend each time and the boba baristas even ask to make sure it was to my liking, or that they would remake the drink. No doubt I would come back here again if I am in the area and needing high quality boba in my life.

Walked here from Little Tokyo, passing by an outdoor seasonal ice skating rink. Why we chose this cafe is the fact that it has plenty of space and ample seating. We chose the L-shaped couch in the corner. Bright and inviting inside, though the music is a bit loud for me. We ordered in the touch screen, a black iced coffee and an iced berry tea with 3/4 sweetness. Bathroom available onsite for customers, without a code. The beverages are refreshing, $5.75 each, whereas a 16oz water bottle is $3.

Loose Leaf Boba Co is a very tea forward boba spot that will satisfy tea lovers! Upon entrance there are two self ordering machines kiosks to your left that are very easy to use. I first chose my tea, then milk (if you want), toppings, sweetness level, and ice level. It's very straightforward! There are also pre-selected house drinks that you can choose from as well if you're indecisive. I got an oolong milk tea with almond milk, half sweet, topped with basil seeds and grass jelly. I love that their grass jelly is made in house! It has a chewier texture than other premade grass jellies and was very enjoyable. The tea was excellent - high quality, floral, and delicious. The basil seed offering was surprising! Not many places offer this and I highly recommend if you haven't tried and are looking for a healthier option to replace boba. They're high in fiber and have great texture! This boba spot ticked all the boxes for me. It's close to my work so I will definitely be by more often!

    Osmanthus oolong with boba
    alexandra k.

I ordered the Osmanthus oolong with boba, 50% sweet and light ice and it was ALMOST perfect. If I could give half stars, this would be 4.5! The only complaint I had was that the tea was only moderately strong. If I'm ordering bubble TEA, I want to taste it, and oolong, having a strong, roasted flavor should shine. The boba was sweet and chewy -- not too soft -- the way I like it! That being said, this place -- out of the 10+ boba places I've tried so far in LA -- is in the top two for oolong milk tea on my list.

I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! I am a sucker for pop-up coffee shop/cart concepts so I had to check it out. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!
